Chapter 12: Ballroom Dancing Zone:
Later that night, inside the dorm rooms. Both Void and SNT were getting ready for the school ball.
Void had put on black pants and his black tuxedo as he looked in the mirror and smiled.
"Well SNT, tonight is the night. Tonight, I get to dance with you." Void said as he sighed towards the mirror while putting his fist on his cheek and blushing.
As he sighed, the mirror began rippling to show SNT on the reflection also sighing and making the exact same pose as Void was doing,
Suddenly, Void shook his head and walked away from the mirror as the reflection immediately disappeared. He was still feeling nervous as he was realizing that this was a public dance. And the fact that SNT invited her friends to join her.
He then calmed himself down by taking deep breaths as he put on his black shoes and opened the door to walk to the ballroom where he would wait for SNT.
Meanwhile, in SNT's dorm room, SNT was busy putting on her shoes. She wore a black dress and beaded necklace.
As SNT grabbed a brush to brush her quills, she heard a knock at the door.
SNT put the bush down and walked to the door to see who it was. "Who is it?" SNT asked,
When SNT finally opened the door. She saw 3 familiar faces that she hasn't seen in a long time.
One was a cute blonde fur looking hedgehog who wore a blue dress, blue shoes and a blue headband on her hair.
The second figure was a feisty purple cat who wore a dark purple dress, grey pants, white and purple shoes and wore purple and white gloves.
Finally, the third and final member was a cute yellow cat who had brown hair, wore a pink dress, had white pants, dark pink gloves and wore Pink and white shoes.
"Maria!!! Nicole!! And Daniela!!!" SNT shouted as she ran to the trio and hugged them.
"SNT!!!" The girls shouted in unison as they all hugged each other.
After the girls finished hugging, SNT couldn't help but ask, "How did you girls get here?"
"Oh, Tails gave us a ride on his tornado. He told us that he brought you and your date to this place when he saved you back at this weird grid-looking mountain place." Maria responded as she was thinking,
"You mean the tech alps?" SNT corrected Maria,
"Yeah, that's it!!!" Maria shouted as she pointed towards SNT.
"So SNT, how did you end up here?" Nicole asked as she walked inside to sit on the bed as the other girls followed suit.
"Well... it's kind of a long story... See, I met this blue robot. Now before you all take out your weapons and go robot hunting; in my defense, he was the first robot I ever met who was programmed with artificial intelligence.
When I got captured by these evil robots and got transported to the internet where I was forced to fight for my life. This adorable robot heard my cry and was able to save me just in time."
"Was he afraid?" Daniela asked as she was curious to learn more,
"Somewhat, there's something special about this robot... He feels more... human." SNT said as she looked out the window before turning to the girls.
"Wow SNT, this robot must be very 'special', huh?" Maria giggled as she slightly elbowed Nicole's arm.
The girls laughed in unison as SNT continued looking out the window.
"This robot and I went to cyberspace together... This was the very first time I ever saw space up close. It was beautiful." SNT said as she sighed while looking at the night sky.
"Let me guess, you have a crush on this robot, do you?" Nicole teased,
"Girls! Stop!!" SNT laughed as she waved her hand to gesture the girls to cut it out. "Void and I are just friends..." SNT then slowly began to blush.
The trio smiled at SNT as Nicole crossed her arms and smirked as they knew exactly what was going on,
"We fought this evil anti-virus doctor named Total AV who was very evil. He wanted to destroy the computer world by sending 2 viruses down to the computer world below. But thanks to that blue robot and my friend Saki Chao, we managed to defeat the viruses and send Total AV into orbit."
SNT then walked towards the girls and concluded her story, "When we returned home, we received a standing ovation from the anti-virus community that they invited us to join this academy for the summer... Of course, not all of us was happy of course."
"Oh yeah, Sonic. Not gonna lie, he's been acting like a real jerk recently since he found out about that kiss that happened during the homecoming. I'm guessing the only reason he chose to go out with me is to make you and the robot jealous." Nicole mentioned while looking down to the floor disappointed,
"Wait, you saw that too?" SNT asked as she was surprised while putting her hands over her mouth,
"Well of course silly, the entire world saw you hugging that blue robot." Maria giggled,
SNT's smile slowly shifted to a worried look on her face, as she turned around to look out the window. She was feeling very nervous as if something bad was going to happen. "Did my enemies see us too?" She wondered as her stomach slowly began to turn. She then shook her head to remove the negative thoughts from her mind, as she refocused her attention on her friends.
"Is everything okay SNT?." Daniela asked as she walked towards her.
SNT slowly began to smile back towards the girls and sighed, "Yeah, i'm fine."
"So when are we gonna meet this blue robot of yours?" Nicole asked,
SNT then spun around and laughed as she showed off her dress to her friends.
After SNT stopped spinning, she looked at the girls and smirked, "He'll be waiting for us at the ballroom."
The girls got off the bed as SNT walked towards the door; ready to exit her dorm. The trio followed her closely as they were excited to meet the blue robot SNT spoke of.
At the ball room, Void slowly walked inside looking very nervous.
He carefully began to observe his surroundings where he saw many students and ministers everywhere around the room. But there was no sign of SNT.
As Void turned around and was ready to leave the ballroom, he saw SNT and her friends walk into the ballroom where they began to look for Void,
"So SNT, how many viruses did you have to fight in the computer world? And how did you manage to survive such a malicious onslaught?" Maria asked her,
"Were the viruses difficult to destroy? And is the computer world just as dangerous as the world we live in?" Daniela pitched in,
"Girls! Calm down, one question at a time, please! It was by far the most difficult adventure I had to go through. Moving in the computer world is much more different than in the real world. Heck, I thought I was never gonna make it out alive. But thanks to the blue robot, I survived." SNT explained,
"Hey SNT, is that the blue robot you were talking about?" Nicole asked as she pointed towards Void,
"Oh my gosh!!! There he is!!! The robot I spoke to you about, HEY VOID!!!" SNT shouted as she got excited and ran towards him,
As SNT ran towards Void, her friends followed closely behind as they were excited to meet the blue A.I robot.
Suddenly, all 4 were clinging on to Void as if they were holding on for dear life. Maria held onto his upper left arm while SNT held his left hand. Meanwhile, Daniela held onto his upper right arm and Nicole held his right hand.
Void looked at the girls very concerned for them; as if all 4 girls were infected by the infamous love letter worm.
"So, you must be the little robot SNT told us about!!! Tell me little robot, would you like to work with me and team 182 in the laboratory?" Maria asked as she tugged onto his arm.
"Miss, my name is Void Ranger." Void responded while looking nervous towards Maria.
"Please excuse Maria, she's very excited. Hi, my name is Daniela the cat, but you can also call me by my username CuteyTCat." Daniela said with a smile.
"Hi, my username is SPD64 but you may call me Nicole." Nicole said as she shook Void's hand.
"What did I tell you? Isn't he dreamy?!" SNT asked as she blushed towards Void who was still looking concerned towards the girls around him.
"Ladies, please control yourselves." Void said looking scared as he attempted to escape from their grips.
The girls quickly loosened their grip but still held onto Void's arms.
"Umm, ladies. It was nice knowing you, now if you'll please excuse me." Said Void as he tried once again to escape from the girls but their hands were locked to Void's body as if they shackled Void's arms and wrists.
But just then, SNT broke up the girls' grips and hugged him, "Cmon Void, shall we dance?" SNT then held onto Void's hand as they walked together towards the dancefloor.
As the girls were watching from the sidelines, 3 different coloured hedgehogs entered the ballroom and approached their dates.
"Way to go SNT, isn't he romantic?" Daniela asked as she sighed.
"It would be nice if Void can help us at team 182." Maria said,
"Hey wait a minute, where are our dates?" Asked Nicole as she spun around the ballroom and looked everywhere until she finally spotted the 3 hedgehogs who were just entering the ballroom.
There was Sonic; a blue hedgehog who wore a blue tuxedo who walked next to Nicole, a black and red looking hedgehog named Shadow who wore a black tuxedo as he walked next to Maria, and a light grey hedgehog named Silver who wore a white tuxedo as he walked next to Daniela.
All 6 animals watched Void and SNT walk towards the center of the dancefloor in unison.
They then began to follow suit as Sonic led Nicole to the dancefloor, followed by Shadow and Maria, and finally, Daniela and Silver.
Once the music started, Void and SNT held hands and held onto each other's waist as they began to spin around the dancefloor nice and slowly.
But as Void and SNT continued to dance, Shadow and Maria were getting closer and closer,
Shadow then suddenly grabbed SNT's hand as she let go of Void's hand, while Maria grabbed Void's hand as she let go of Shadow's hand. This was a special dance where all the dancers would have to switch partners every minute until the song ends.
As Void slowly danced with Maria, Maria got closer to him and curiously asked him. "Tell me Void, how many viruses have you deleted since you became an anti-virus robot in this academy?"
"Well, I did fight some viruses, a couple of spyware and some worms." Void responded as he and Maria continued to dance.
Just then, Daniela and Silver got closer as they both took Void and Maria's hand and switched partners again. Void was dancing with Daniela while Silver danced with Maria.
"So Void, is it true that you have a crush on SNT?" Daniela smirked,
"I won't lie miss Daniela, SNT is a remarkable woman. She's cute, strong and most importantly... she's special." Void responded as he and Daniela spun around slowly and slowly.
Suddenly, Nicole and Sonic were dancing closer and closer, as Nicole grabbed for Void's hand as Sonic held Daniela's hand, Sonic lifted his foot and stomped on Void's foot.
"Oww!" Shouted Void as he hopped on one leg in pain.
"That's payback for kissing my girl, you robotic jerk!!!" Sonic shouted,
But right before Sonic and Daniela left to go dancing, Nicole stepped forward looking angry as ever. She smacked Sonic's face causing Sonic to fall to his knees.
"Hmmph." Pouted Nicole as she held Void's hand and began to dance with him while Daniela slowly picked up Sonic and brought him back to his feet.
"Answer me this Void, what kind of superpowers do you have?" Nicole asked as she and Void danced together,
"Well miss Nicole. Technically; I'm still just a student. I'm a B-tier anti-virus, and I'm waiting to perform my next exam of virus detection and removal." Void explained,
Nicole was intrigued, "I see... and what comes after detection and removal?"
"Disassembly and recovery. It's when you perform script surgery on all quarantined viruses to discover how viruses were created and what they can do to harm users. If I can accomplish this... I'll finally be able to rescue SNT!!" Void said looking excited.
"Rescue... SNT...?" Nicole asked looking confused,
Void then bowed his head looking sad. "Last year, SNT got infected by the love letter worm. A worm that causes software to romance over others which eventually leads to the destruction of system files.
Now I may have removed the love letter worm from SNT, but the side effects are still present in memory." Void explained.
"So that explains why SNT likes you." Nicole pitched in while looking surprised.
"Precisely Nicole. As of now, I am the key to her freedom." Void admitted as he was the only one who knew how to completely disinfect SNT.
"Well... While we're on the subject of disinfection, do you think you can give me a discount code on one of these anti-virus software?" Asked Nicole as she prayed towards Void and blushed.
Void looked surprised at Nicole trying to flirt with him, but he kept his composure and responded, "I'll think about it."
As the dance was almost over and the song was just about done, Silver and SNT danced closer and closer to Void and Nicole as they switched partners one last time.
SNT and Void ended the dance by holding onto each other and spinning around nice and slowly.
But as the music continued to play. Somewhere inside the vents near the ball room, a group of police officers snuck inside the ventilators where they came across a vent door which led straight into the ballroom.
The officers were actually the evil Void clones in disguise, as their main goal was to perform a stealth attack. One clone gestured his brothers to stand back as he slowly opened the vent door and held a smoke bomb in hand.
As both Void and SNT danced together, they blushed towards each other and were ready to kiss.
But all of a sudden, a smoke bomb dropped onto the dancefloor and all 5 clones dropped down from the vents with their swords drawn.
"FBI!!! Open up!!! Get on the ground, get on the ground!!! GET ON THE GROUND NOW!!! Lock it down!!! Lock it down!!!" Roared one of the clones.
Everyone in the ballroom was in a panic as all the ministers and students had to evacuate the ballroom as quickly as possible to prevent getting hurt.
Shocked and outraged, everyone got into a single file line and took up their fighting stances,
Sonic attempted to spin dash into the clones like a game of bowling, but the clones side stepped and slashed Sonic like a baseball; sending him dashing into a wall.
Shadow then took out a chaos emerald and shouted, "Chaos contro-NOO!!!" As one evil clone swiped the emerald from Shadow's hand and negated chaos control back to him.
The clone then stabbed Shadow's shoulder, causing Shadow to fall to the floor. The clone then threw the emerald 6 feet away as if the emerald was just a piece of junk.
Meanwhile, Silver tried to use telekinesis on 2 of the clones, but little did he realize, there was a giant worm that slithered behind him.
The worm wore a cowboy hat and police armor. It was the FunSoul worm, and FunSoul had returned for revenge.
"Yee haw!!!" Shouted the worm as it dived it's head down and bashed Silver to the floor.
"Ow... why... didn't i... see this... coming?" Silver asked himself as he was severely injured.
Finally, the clones formed a circular formation as they surrounded Void, SNT and her 3 friends.
As Void drew his sword and was ready to attack, one clone beat him to it and stabbed Void's chest instead.
Shocked and panicking, SNT and the girls ran to Void to try to check on him and asses his injuries.
"Void, wakey wakey!!!" Shouted Nicole as she lightly tapped Void's cheek multiple times.
"Void!!! Wake up!!!" Cried SNT as she held his waist,
"Is he gonna be okay?!!!" Asked Daniela,
"I just hope he's okay!!" Cried Maria,
But suddenly, the evil clones grabbed SNT and her friends and began to tie them up one by one.
"AHHH!!! Let us go!!!" SNT shouted as she struggled to get free from the ropes.
"Release us immediately!!!" Maria screamed,
"What are you gonna do to us?!!!" Daniela yelled,
"I cannot wait to turn into the hulk, I'll smash you all to pieces!!!" Shouted Nicole who was furious.
Just then, one clone grabbed a walkie talkie and began to radio in on Optical Illusions,
"Attention captain, the chimera and her friends have been captured. Execute order 394, I repeat, execute order 394!"
They then put away the walkie talkie, and began to carry the girls out of the ball room and away from the academy.
"VOID, HELP ME!!! I'VE BEEN CAUGHT BY OPTICAL ILLUSIONS!!! LET ME GO YOU EVIL CLONES!!!" Screamed SNT as she struggled to break the ropes while the clones carried her away from the ballroom.
"Officers, I didn't do anything wrong!! I can explain everything!!! Silver!!! Please wake up!!!" Daniela cried as she was led away by the clones.
"SHADOW!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!" Cried Maria as she tried to fight away from the grip of the clones and ran towards Shadow. Only when she arrived, she was grabbed by a clone and was hand gagged as the clone took her and carried her out of the room.
"What the hell are you b*s gaining from this anyway?!!!" Nicole shouted as she tried her very best to fight out of the ropes, but to no avail.
"VOID!!! HELP!!!!!!!" Screamed SNT as the clones left the ballroom with the girls as hostages. The clones then shut the ballroom doors and made their escape.
A few minutes later, Sonic, Shadow and Silver slowly got back to their feet to asses the damage.
"Ow my head!" Shouted Sonic as he placed his hand over his forehead to check for injuries.
He then turned to Shadow and Silver and shouted,
"Shadow, Silver. Are you guys okay? Where is SNT and the girls?!"
The 3 hedgehogs looked all over the ballroom but were unable to find any traces of SNT or her friends.
"I believe they either got kidnapped, or they simply disappeared." Shadow guessed.
"If I remembered correctly, we were attacked by these blue robots dressed as police officers, and then this worm slithered in and attacked me from behind. Once we were down, the robots went after Daniela, Nicole, Maria and SNT."
"So they did get captured..." Shadow said looking down disappointed, "Wait for me... Maria!"
"Well that's unfortunate, how are we gonna save the girls?!" Sonic asked as he approached Shadow and Silver,
"Well, we can start by saving that robot." Said Shadow as he pointed to Void who was lying unconscious.
Above him was the FunSoul worm who was licking it's mouth again and slobbering over Void's injured body.
"Yeeee...hawwwww..." The FunSoul worm said as it was drooling,
"What?!!! Him?!!! Are you sure? Don't forget that he was the one who kissed SNT!!!" Sonic reminded Shadow.
Suddenly, Shadow grabbed Sonic's neck and slammed him to a nearby wall while giving him a reality check,
"Listen here, you chimera obsessive freak! This robot knows SNT better than you'll ever know. If anyone can help us save Maria and everyone else, it's this robot boy! Do you understand?!!!" Shouted Shadow looking furious at Sonic.
Shadow then threw Sonic to the ground as he and Silver stood side by side and took up their fighting stances. They were ready to fight the worm that was drooling over Void.
Finally, Sonic joined the other hedgehogs and took up his fighting stance as well. He still wasn't happy with Shadow's suggestion of joining forces with the robot that kissed SNT.
Shadow began by running towards the FunSoul worm as he prepared a fireball in his hand.
"Chaos Spear!!!" Shadow shouted as he dashed passed the worm and slammed the fireball on the worm's head.
The worm lifted it's head back and led out a mighty roar.
When the worm recuperated itself, it then noticed Shadow and tried to dive it's head down for a quick bite. "Yee haw!" The worm shouted,
But Shadow jumped out of the way and avoided the worm's quick bite attacks.
The worm tried another 2 times to quick bite Shadow.
"Yee haw!" The worm shouted every time it tried to bite the hedgehog,
But suddenly, Shadow spotted the chaos emerald that the clone threw on the ground earlier and grabbed it as soon as possible before the worm dove it's head to bite.
Shadow then raised the chaos emerald in the air and shouted, "Chaos Control!!!"
Time finally froze and the worm was unable to move as everything around Shadow stood still.
Shadow then curled into a ball and performed a spin dash which struck FunSoul's head, to which, FunSoul lifted it's head back and roared in pain.
Just then, Silver began to perform telekinesis on FunSoul. Silver then played a one player game of ping pong from wall to wall until he grew tired of playing.
Finally, Sonic approached the worm and began to perform a spin dash towards the worm.
As the worm slowly rose up and began to slither towards Sonic, FunSoul tried to deliver one last quick bite towards the blue hedgehog.
"Yee haw!!!" FunSoul shouted as it tried to bite Sonic, but Sonic zipped right passed the worm and struck it's chest.
The worm led out another mighty roar before falling to the ground as the worm was incapacitated once again. "YEEEEEEE HAWWWW!!!"
With the FunSoul worm down once again, Sonic and his friends slowly approached Void to check on him who was still injured from the ordeal.
Finally, Void slowly got back to his feet while holding onto the side of his abdomen. He wasn't in good shape, he looked down on his hand and discovered small drops of binary coded blood dripping from his side.
As he held his side to put pressure in order to control the pain, he looked up and saw Sonic, Shadow and Silver staring towards him.
"Sonic? Shadow and Silver? What happened?!!! Where are the girls?!!!" Void asked,
"I don't know, I think they got kidnapped. The last thing I remembered, we got attacked by these blue robots that dressed up as police officers, and the girls just vanished." Shadow answered,
"The evil clones..." Void whispered looking down disappointed,
"I'm sorry, what was that?!!!" Shouted Sonic who wasn't very happy, "You better tell me what the hell happened to SNT and her friends!!!" He demanded as he clenched his fists to threaten Void.
Void took a few steps looking terrified. "The evil clones! My name is Void Ranger of the United Anti-Virus movement. I am one of 6 robots created by an evil virus syndicate called Optical Illusions. My 5 brothers whom you saw dressed as police officers were those evil clones who recently attacked us!!!" Void shouted as he was cowering in the nearest corner.
Sonic then grabbed Void by his tuxedo and clenched his fist, he was ready to punch the poor robot.
But Silver retaliated by punching Sonic's shoulder; causing him to hold onto his shoulder in pain.
"Oww!!" Sonic shouted, "That really hurts!"
"Please excuse Sonic. He's still very salty after what happened between you and SNT." Silver said as he suddenly walked towards the defeated FunSoul worm before looking at Void.
"Do you suppose this cowboy looking bozo has something to do with this?" Asked Silver as he pointed to the FunSoul worm who was still incapacitated.
"Nothing else comes to mind other than 'yee haw!'" Void responded while looking at FunSoul unimpressed.
But suddenly, upon piecing Optical Illusions and FunSoul together while looking away from the trio, Void had a revelation,
"Wait a minute... Oh no!!! Oh dear anti-viruses no!!! Did SNT and the girls gets kidnapped by Optical Illusions?!!! Cause if that's the case, we have to save them!!!" Void shouted as he looked back at the trio.
"Do you know where Optical Illusions took the girls?" Shadow asked him,
Void slowly walked passed the hedgehogs with an angry look in his eyes as he approached the incapacitated FunSoul worm.
"No, but I may have an idea on who to ask..." Void responded as he stared down towards the severely injured worm.
Sonic and his friends soon followed suit and joined him in looking down towards the very worm they recently defeated.
