It was already morning when the cats were in the hotel, they already had breakfast and they were exploring around the place to see what else was there.
"Well that breakfast was decent. We should be able to sit out on the beach again and relax." Honeyfern began as she knew she was going to take a look around.
"Let's see what else we could find first before we head off onto the beach. Maybe we can see something interesting." Blossomfall began as she headed off to her right. Molewhisker followed her as they were going to go take a look.
"I'll be back in a few." Molewhisker waved to the group as he decided to follow Blossomfall around.
Molewhisker and Blossomfall would go exploring around the hotel to see what else there was to find. They spotted what seemed to be the hotel's souvenir shop as Molewhisker decided to head inside to take a look. Blossomfall continued to go exploring around the hallway. One of the workers looked at the tom who was taking in what he saw.
"You need anything?" She asked as she wanted to see what Molewhisker was getting.
"I'm just taking a look around." Molewhisker replied as he figured out that he had seen enough and he raced after Blossomfall as they wanted to see what they were going to find.
"See anything interesting Molewhisker?" Blossomfall asked as she wanted to figure out what was happening.
"Nothing much but I saw the turtles outside and wondered if they would be the same as the ones in the room?" Molewhisker asked as they continued to explore.
"Possibly." Blossomfall mewed as she wasn't too sure, she just had a glance at them and didn't pick up any details about the turtles.
"Hey, what are these rooms?" Molewhisker asked as he looked at the giant wooden doors that seem to be individually named. Blossomfall knew she came to one quick conclusion.
"Must be for the parties that the hotel is hosting. I don't know too much about those, that's for sure." Blossomfall responded as they had reached the end of the hallway to a pair of glass doors with the terrace outside. "Well it's the end of the line here, let's turn around and head back." Blossomfall told Molewhisker as the pair turned around and began their journey back the other way which they came. Within a minute they had reunited as the cats continued to go exploring to see what else they could find.
"Hey this looks like a lounge." Ivypool began as she took a look around, there was a television, a few chairs and a pool table. Ivypool looked around as she wanted to play but they were going to go to the beach. Poppyfrost opened the door and fortunately for them they found the boardwalk they needed to go to.
"Hey it's here, we found a shortcut." Poppyfrost mewed as Blossomfall took the lead as they were now heading up the boardwalk. She looked around at her friends as she had some plans. "So what is everyone planning on doing?" Poppyfrost asked her friends and kits what they wanted to do.
"Dig holes?" Molewhisker asked as he wanted to go digging again. Poppyfrost laughed as Blossomfall began to speak.
"I want to tan my legs like a cat then we could go spend the evening with Thunderstar again afterward." Blossomfall responded. Ivypool laughed as she began thinking.
"Wait when is Gray Wing's barbecue again? I had forgotten about that." Ivypool asked as she didn't remember what day it was going to fall on.
"It's tomorrow Ivypool but we will have another day to ourselves." Cherryfall told them as they began to race down onto the beach. Molewhisker and Cherryfall raced out ahead as they were going to go to their usual spot to dig in the sand. Ivypool raced after them.
"Hey don't leave me behind!" Ivypool called out as she wanted to make sure she could join in on the fun. Blossomfall and the others went to relax as their chairs had been set up so they could begin to relax. Poppyfrost laid on the chair as she watched her kits digging in the sand again.
"I actually enjoy their playtime, I want to make sure this lasts." Honeyfern began as she was more than happy to see them play together. Poppyfrost looked at her sister as she wasn't so sure about that.
"Molewhisker wants to begin work in September so he is willing to take one last vacation with us before he wants to make his dream a reality. Cherryfall just wishes to sit around and so nothing ever since she graduated." Poppyfrost mewed as she gave on what her kits planned on doing.
"I mean Cherryfall is probably exhausted from school and would like to catch a break. Molewhisker is up and running constantly through the day. Maybe he enjoys the thrill of working." Honeyfern responded as she looked out to see them and Ivypool digging around in the sand.
"Probably, it gets him out of the house everyday but he is worried that it will derail his writing which he takes much pride in." Poppyfrost mewed as she looked at Honeyfern.
"I mean he's not making anything from that so he's going to go find something to do, probably give him ideas on what to write in." Honeyfern responded as she got up from her chair. "I'm heading to the ocean, anyone want to come?" Honeyfern offered as the other cats got up from their chairs.
"Yeah let's go in." Blossomfall responded as the four cats took off for the ocean. Dovewing was the last to follow them.
"Wow I never knew you were that good at digging Ivypool, would you wish to live out here everyday and dig holes?" Molewhisker asked as Cherryfall was making hers. The waves nearby were lapping the sand grains so there was the possibility of their holes getting flooded.
"Well not everyday as the beach does get old fast." Ivypool responded as she knew that something like this would get on her nerves. "You would like to try other stuff right?"
"Yes I do but I was just asking." Molewhisker mewed. Suddenly Blossomfall, Honeyfern, Poppyfrost and Dovewing came racing onto the beach as they were all going into the ocean.
"Come on you three, we're going for a swim!" Poppyfrost called out as she dove into the ocean. Molewhisker, Cherryfall and Ivypool looked at each other as they were ready to go.
"Who wants to go into the ocean?" Ivypool asked them if they were up for a swim.
"Yeah I'm up for the swim." Cherryfall responded. Ivypool stood up as Cherryfall did the same. Molewhisker got up as Ivypool began speaking next.
"First one in the water is a chomp-chomp!" Ivypool mewed as she was up for another race. Ivypool took off first as Cherryfall and Molewhisker dove into the water next as they were now swimming up to where the four other cats were.
The sandbar beneath them was long and fortunately not that deep at all. They began to swim out as the others were playing around in the ocean current.
"Looks like there is no seaweed in here, I bet it all went to Dovewing." Blossomfall began as she noticed the ocean was clean. Plus she could see her paws.
"Hey!" Dovewing called out as Poppyfrost and Honeyfern were laughing at her. "That was completely embarrassing and I don't want that happening again." Poppyfrost turned her head as three cats were approaching them.
"Hey here they come!" Poppyfrost called out as her kits were swimming to her.. Ivypool was the first to arrive as Cherryfall arrived next followed by Molewhisker a moment later.
"Nice and cool here." Cherryfall began as she twisted her way in the ocean. Water got everywhere as the others began to laugh.
"Come here Molewhisker." Honeyfern mewed to her nephew as she grabbed her and began to pull him along the waves. Molewhisker giggled as he was having fun as Molewhisker was being dragged.
"I bet we would all like to swim in this." Ivypool mewed as she was getting the salt water all over her pelt.
"We still want to check out the pool as we haven't been in that as of yet." Blossomfall reminded them as she turned her head to see if the weather was starting to get ugly. Only a couple of clouds were in the sky but they needed to be vigilant.
"Oh yeah, let's check out the pool." Honeyfern told the group that they would want to go for a swim in the pool. "But if your paws get full of sand, wash them off first before you go galavanting into the pool as it will get full of sand."
"Okay." Molewhisker responded as he wiggled his way from Honeyfern as they all began to make their way to the pool. They managed to sit out there for a good half hour. They began making their way up the boardwalk as they found the shower to rinse their paws off as they had got them full of sand. One by one, the cats began rinsing their paws off as they made their way to the pool. Molewhisker decided to get some water as he began to drink it. The other cats came along as Blossomfall began to ask them all.
"Did anyone wash their paws?" Blossomfall asked as she wanted to figure out what they were doing.
"Yeah." Poppyfrost responded. Everyone else nodded as Blossomfall nodded.
"Okay so let's go for a swim!" Blossomfall responded. Blossomfall decided to go for a running start as she jumped into the pool. Splash, the water went everywhere as Molewhisker and Ivypool came around to the other side.
"Toms first into the water." Molewhisker responded as he jumped into the water. Ivypool jumped in a moment later. Ivypool felt the water going around her as she felt the resistance of the bubbles, she began to float up as she reached the surface as Molewhisker was by her side. "How was that jump?" Molewhisker asked as he wanted to figure out about it.
"Yeah that water wasn't much different but boy that was deep." Ivypool responded as the drop was bigger than the sandbar she was jumping down from.
"Yeah I'll race you to the other side." Molewhisker told Ivypool that he'll race her. Ivypool nodded as Molewhisker began swimming. Ivypool giggled as she knew that Molewhisker was going to win if she didn't do something fast. Ivypool began swimming after her.
"Hey wait for me!" Ivypool called out as she began swimming after Molewhisker. Poppyfrost, Dovewing and Honeyfern were watching from a distance as they spotted them swimming.
"Come on, you could do this!" Poppyfrost called out as they were now swimming, they began cheering them on. Ivypool was rapidly catching up to Molewhisker. Molewhisker was still swimming as fast as he could but Ivypool quickly overtook him as she reached the other side. Molewhisker was close but Ivypool had managed to beat him by a hair.
"I win." Ivypool responded as she was panting. Molewhisker still had some stamina left but he looked at Ivypool wondering how she managed to beat him.
"How did you beat me?" Molewhisker asked Ivypool if he had any ideas.
"I swam fast, I took swimming classes when I was younger, if you want to go again, I'm up for it." Ivypool told Molewhisker that she would be up for another swim. Molewhisker laughed as Cherryfall jumped into the pool. Blossomfall was swimming around as she looked at the two of them.
"This water is just as smooth as the Ocean's I really like this." Blossomfall mewed. Poppyfrost watched on as she looked up at the clouds, it was still clear though it was starting to get gray on one side.
"Anyways, aside from dinner, what kind of things should we do to spend the evening with Thunderstar?" Poppyfrost asked as she was relaxing at the pool.
"Dinner will be Sausage, peppers and bread right?" Cherryfall asked as she wanted to make sure she was correct.
"Yeah that's the dinner, but the question is what do we do afterward, I know we will watch Tv but that is about it." Poppyfrost responded. Molewhisker and Ivypool were still playing with each other as Blossomfall was thinking of ideas to prevent them from getting bored in the background.
"I wonder what they will have to watch? Maybe something interesting as I would want to see something interesting." Dovewing asked as she wanted to figure out what they were going to do if they were going to stay bored.
"I think they will have a couple of games." Honeyfern mewed as she looked at the clouds.
Ivypool, Cherryfall and Molewhisker decided to shock themselves into the heat of the spa as they dipped themselves in.
"So what do you want to do tonight when we have dinner? I hope we get to have some fun." Cherryfall mewed as she didn't want to have another boring day.
"Well we haven't played any games to where we will get to know each other so we might want to find something we could be able to do." Ivypool responded as she laid down onto the waterfall as the water began splashing onto her face. Ivypool felt the water splashing onto her face as she squinted, feeling the water rushing down her face. Cherryfall laughed.
"Wet kitty." Cherryfall responded as she felt the water splashing down on her. Ivypool removed her face from the waterfall as she shook it off.
"That wasn't nice." Ivypool responded as she didn't want to keep herself wet. Molewhisker wasn't laughing but Cherryfall was.
"Okay let's settle down but we need to figure out what we are going to do." Molewhisker responded as the three cats began to think about what they were going to do.
"What about the turtles, I think we should try learning more about them?" Ivypool suddenly remembered about the turtles. Molewhisker and Cherryfall looked at Ivypool as they had her attention.
"Well don't they crawl up onto the sand and lay their eggs in the sand?" Molewhisker asked if this was the case. Ivypool looked at Molewhisker as he seemed curious.
"Wait you know about them?" Ivypool asked Molewhisker as she wanted to test his knowledge of the turtles.
"A bit, it's been a while since I learned about them." Molewhisker told Ivypool.
"You got to see them! I'll take you out later tonight when they begin crawling up the beach." Ivypool responded. Suddenly the crack of thunder was heard as it had taken the cats by surprise.
"What was that?" Molewhisker asked as he was startled, why was thunder being heard, it was still sunny, to the right at least.
"It could be the clouds coming in." Ivypool mewed to Molewhisker, Molewhisker and Cherryfall looked up as they saw the clouds as they were quickly moving in. Another crack of thunder was heard as the storm was quickly moving in.
"Yeah the weather's beginning to get ugly, Blossomfall is calling everyone to dry themselves off and into the hotel." Poppyfrost told the three of them to get inside of the room so they didn't get caught out in the storm. Cherryfall, Ivypool and Molewhisker got out of the pool as they were going to head back into the hotel as the storm was moving in.
The cats had dried themselves off as they were back in their rooms as they wanted to see what they were going to do now.
"It was wise of you to call us in, this weather is unpredictable." Honeyfern began, she turned her head as the rain was falling sideways down in front of them.
"Yeah hopefully this weather will clear up when we go north this weekend for our trip to Orlando." Blossomfall responded. Poppyfrost knew that the weather was going to clear up and then they could make their way to where Thunderstar was holding his dinner.
It would take a few hours before the rain would fully clear up, the cats had decided to clean themselves up for the time being as Blossomfall and her friends were making their way to the truck They got in the truck as they were now thinking of what they were going to do with the news they had just received from Thunderstar.
"Well Thunderstar has told us that he and Violet Dawn will play Monopoly with us so, any of you want to play?" Blossomfall began the news as she wanted to see if they were in agreement with her.
"Good we should be able to keep ourselves from getting bored but who will play?" Ivypool asked as Honeyfern shrugged.
"Well the four of us just want to relax as we have been having a hard time getting enough sleep." Honeyfern told Ivypool that she wasn't in the mood to be playing any games. Ivypool sighed as she didn't want to get lonely when playing their game. She then turned to Molewhisker and Cherryfall as she wanted to see if they wanted to play.
"You two want to play?" Ivypool asked if they wanted to play.
"Yeah sure, we're up for some fun." Molewhisker responded as they were going to play their game. The truck pulled up to their estate as they got off of the truck and were now ready to visit them.
"Woo we made it." Cherryfall responded. The cats disembarked from the truck as they began walking to the door. Blossomfall ringed the doorbell as the smell of sausages were tantalizing her senses. Violet Dawn opened the door as the cats were happy to see them.
"So nice to see you." Violet Dawn mewed as the sound of Queen was playing on the television in the background. Thunderstar had the table set up and the plates arranged.
"Come sit down." Thunderstar mewed to the bunch as the cats started taking their seats. Thunderstar then began serving all of them their dinner as Violet Dawn then began talking to them.
"Are you excited for today?" Violet Dawn asked as she served them the food. Some of the cats then began to eat as they were starving.
"A bit, the weather has caught us off guard again." Honeyfern mewed as she was commenting about the sudden thunderstorms that were coming and going.
"Yeah that happens from time to time so don't go complaining about that if it sweeps over you again." Violet Dawn responded as she knew the weather was bothersome but it could quickly pass within a couple of hours.
"So what game do you have set up for us?" Cherryfall asked as she was eating her sausage.
"Monopoly anyone?" Thunderstar asked as he was eating his dinner.
"Sure." Ivypool responded as she wanted to see if she could test her luck. Molewhisker finished his dinner as he looked at them.
"Okay I'll be in the other room if you need me." Molewhisker mewed as he walked off to the other room to get a bit of work done. The minutes ticked by as Molewhisker kept up with his work as he knew that the game would take a while so might as well get as much done as he could as he hadn't worked much to get anything done.
"Hey Molewhisker, we're waiting." Violet Dawn mewed as she asked for him. Molewhisker got up as he walked over to where the game had been set up as he sat down next to the group.
"So we're ready?" Thunderstar asked as they had selected their pieces.
"Yeah we're ready. Let's try getting this party on." Molewhisker responded. Thunderstar grabbed the dice and began the game.
Poppyfrost, Blossomfall, Honeyfern and Dovewing were watching Bohemian Rhapsody as they weren't interested in Monopoly. Dovewing looked up as Ivypool and her friends were having fun. Thunderstar accidentally grabbed the wrong piece when he rolled the dice.
"Wrong piece Thunderstar." Cherryfall corrected him. Violet Dawn laughed as Thunderstar grabbed the right piece and began to move it.
"Chance." Thunderstar mewed. He grabbed the card to find out what it said. "Advance to Boardwalk."
"Ohh!" Molewhisker shrieked as that was going to hurt him. Thunderstar moved his piece to Boardwalk as Ivypool had owned that property.
"That will be two thousand dollars." Ivypool told him as she had set up hotels on the dark blue properties. Dovewing looked back as she continued to watch the television.
"I bet they're having fun." Dovewing responded as she wanted to see if she would really keep watching this move.
"Yeah so, I still don't know who will win." Poppyfrost responded as she just wanted to keep watching the movie.
"Well I don't know but at the rate they're playing at, they'll bust the bank." Blossomfall told Poppyfrost that the rate they're playing the game, the bank will be busted.
Sure enough, Blossomfall was right. The bank had run out of five hundreds, hundreds and game at this point was a stalemate as no one had any money left.
"Well the bank's busted, we don't know who wins?" Molewhisker mewed as there was no money left in the bank.
"Well the way we should decide on who wins is to count up the most amount of money we have." Ivypool mewed as she looked at what they had.
"Can't we pit more money into circulation so that the game could continue?" Cherryfall asked as she wanted to keep playing. Molewhisker looked at Cherryfall as she knew that wasn't the case.
"You can't flood the bank with more money because the money we currently have makes gold cheap. If we put more money in the game, we will have inflation as the price of goods skyrockets and money becomes worthless." Molewhisker responded as he wasn't sure if this was going to be the case.
"Okay. So, who wins?" Violet Dawn asked as she wanted to figure out who was the real winner in this competition.
"I got a ton of five hundred bills so I won." Ivypool responded as she was counting up the five hundred bills.
"Okay so Ivypool wins." Thunderstar clapped a small clap as the others looked at them, they had a winner.
"Well it was nice playing with you but we must be getting back to our room so Thursday is the big day right?" Blossomfall mewed as she got up from the couch.
"Yep, that's thursday." Violet Dawn responded as the cats began making their way to the truck. Poppyfrost was helping carry some of the laundry for Violet Dawn to clean.
"It's a few towels but it's not a lot. We'll come back for them." Poppyfrost instructed her that they would come back for the towels.
The cats loaded into the truck as Blossomfall began the drive back to the hotel. Violet Dawn and Thunderstar waved farewell as they were going to be excited for tomorrow night. They drove off as they were more than excited for what Gray Wing had to offer.
"So what time are we going to arrive there?" Honeyfern asked as she wanted to see when they were going to arrive.
"About five, five thirty is when the barbecue starts." Blossomfall told them.
"So we need to leave at four?" Poppyfrost decided to see what time they were going to leave as they wanted to be there in time for when they would arrive at the barbecue.
"Yeah, most definitely." Blossomfall responded as she answered her friend's question. Blossomfall decided to drive off into the darkness as they were heading back to the room.
Ivypool and Molewhisker had walked down to the beach as they had split out from Poppyfrost and the others as they went back to the room. The two of them were on the boardwalk as they went to investigate the turtles.
"Have you seen turtles before in your life?" Ivypool asked as the group walked along among the crowd.
"I haven't except for in the zoo's when I was younger when we found about the turtle. I think this is my first time seeing them out in the wild." Molewhisker responded as he wanted to see if they were going to be able to find out about the turtles. Ivypool and Molewhisker got onto the boardwalk to get a better look.
"So limited knowledge about the turtles? Okay." Ivypool responded as she then began to look out.
"Just as a reminder no pictures or flashlights on the turtles, that scares them." The she-cat reminded them not to snap any pictures or shine the light on them.
Ivypool and Molewhisker looked at the boardwalk ahead as they were looking out against the light ahead of them. Ivypool was looking around as she spotted a dark shape slowly moving its way up the beach.
"Look look! There's one!" Ivypool called Molewhisker as she shook him. Molewhisker looked to his left as he spotted the turtle slowly dragging its way up.
"Oh my, that's a huge turtle." Molewhisker told Ivypool as the turtle was crawling its way up the beach.
"Do you mark the areas where the turtle nests are so that the others know where the turtles are?" Ivypool asked as they wanted to make sure they were able to get the knowledge of the turtle's nests.
"We mark them with wooden stakes and red tape all around where they have been. Their babies hatch a month later and crawl back to the ocean. We try to protect them from the seagulls so they don't devastate the baby turtles." The she-cat working the sight told the others. Ivypool turned her head as she looked as she spotted another one.
'Hey Molewhisker! There's another one!" Ivypool shouted as Molewhisker turned his head to the left. Another massive sea turtle was digging its way into the sand as the sand was flying into the air.
"That's two, I wonder what we should be able to spot next in terms of the turtles?" Molewhisker mewed as he marked off another turtle. "This makes me wish for that turtle plush."
"Don't you have some money on you?" Ivypool asked if Molewhisker could spend it. Molewhisker began to think for a moment as he was wondering if he was going to have the cash to get himself a toy.
"Sadly I don't because in my rush to pack, I didn't take any money with me." Molewhisker responded as he didn't have even a dime on him. Ivypool slumped her frame down as she became upset that Molewhisker didn't have any money.
"Let's head back to the room, I want some time to think about it." Ivypool responded as she began to walk back to the room. They wanted to tell Poppyfrost and the others about what they had discovered.
[A/N]: Another chapter for you all as the characters spend another night with Thunderstar and Violet Dawn. However, things aren't going to go according to plan as some of the events that will be happening next chapter but that is fine as the characters will find their way around it. See you later.
