The next morning would come as the seven cats were packing what they got from the beach as they agreed to be out and on the road after breakfast. Poppyfrost and the others had just finished their breakfast as they gutted their hotel room so they could make room for what they planned on bringing.
"So hotel rooms cleaned out?" Poppyfrost asked as she wanted to check that off.
"Yeah they should be cleaned out." Ivypool responded as she knew that the rooms had been checked and everything cleaned up. "The workers are loading them onto the truck that Blossomfall has out front."
"That's the good thing." Honeyfern responded and sure enough she was right, the truck had been loaded up and they were preparing to drive.
"Let's hop on board, next stop is Thunderstar's estate." Blossomfall mewed. The cats hopped on as Blossomfall turned to the others to make sure they were secured. "Everyone buckled up?" Blossomfall would ask if they were ready.
"We're ready." Ivypool mewed. Blossomfall nodded with a smile. Within moments, the truck's wheels began to turn as they were now off on their journey, they were saying farewell to Jupiter and off to Thunderstar's estate and Orlando.
The drive along the sunny day was quiet as they had been up and down this route numerous times before. This was truly the last one they were going to make before the trip over to Orlando. Molewhisker had his bag of plushies as he was ready to play with Ivypool like if he was a kit or something. Cherryfall and Dovewing were listening to music and the others were keeping their eyes on the road.
"So how far is Orlando from here?" Poppyfrost asked Blossomfall the expected time that they were going to arrive.
"Only two and half hours away, we should get there in the evening as we have somewhere else to go first." Blossomfall mewed as she wanted to pay Thunderstar one more visit before they left. They then took the exit needed for their estate as they drove onto the exit and to where they needed to go. Once they pulled into the gated community, it was already noon as they had arrived just in time for lunch.
"Okay, I think they had chicken and leftovers they are making." Honeyfern mewed as they parked the truck. They then got out as they began walking to the door. Molewhisker rang the doorbell wondering who was inside. Violet Dawn walked over as she opened the door.
"Welcome, you're just in time." Violet Daw mewed as they went inside. The cats dispersed as they went to where they wanted to go.
"We're good but thank you for asking." Poppyfrost mewed as Thunderstar had the table set up and was frying some cutlets. Thunderstar checked if they were done before taking them off and placing them on the paper towels. Thunderstar took the plate as he had the table set.
"Come and eat, there's plenty to go around." Thunderstar encouraged them to take what they wanted. Violet Dawn had made waters with lemon slices in them as everyone had sat down and began to take what they wanted.
"So you are stopping by for lunch before continuing your journey?" Violet Dawn asked as she wanted to make sure that was correct.
"That's right." Blossomfall mewed. She then yawned as she was ready to fall asleep at this point. She wanted as much rest as she could for the trip.
"Are you tired?" Thunderstar asked as he was helping serve the guests.
"Yeah, we have a two and half hour journey to attend to so I need the rest." Blossomfall mewed as she was eating her lunch.
"That's good since I have a few things from the laundry you need to take with you." Violet Dawn mewed as she had washed some of their belongings.
"Thank you." Poppyfrost mewed as there was a ding that popped off in the background. Thunderstar raced over as he pulled the bread from the toaster.
"Bread and butter, anyone?" Thunderstar asked. Cherryfall decided to take the bread roll.
"So what is it that you wanted to talk about?" Poppyfrost asked as she was busy eating her food.
"We're going to have apple pie later today so I was wondering if you wanted to have some?" Violet Dawn mewed as she was going to see what they wanted to have something else along with their lunch.
"Yeah sure." Poppyfrost mewed as she was up to have something to eat. Violet Dawn began to slice up the pie. Violet Dawn thought of something else.
"Any of you want some vanilla ice cream to go with your pie, I bet you do." Violet Dawn told them as the others couldn't deny.
"Yeah sure." Honeyfern mewed as she was willing to take it. Violet Dawn nodded as she grabbed the vanilla ice cream that was partially eaten from a couple of nights ago. She then began placing them onto the pie as she decided to walk over to Molewhisker who was typing away in the other room as he seemed to be hard at work when Violet Dawn entered into the room.
"Hey Molewhisker, you want some pie and ice cream?" Violet Dawn asked as Molewhisker was typing away on his keyboard to his laptop as he seemed busy to take advantage of the time he had to get hard to work.
"Yeah sure, I can try taking a bit of a break." Molewhisker mewed as he was hard at work writing something. He knew he could take a pause if he was going to catch up with more food. Molewhisker and Violet Dawn arrived as there was a nice slice of pie and the vanilla ice cream that was on top, slowly melting away in the heat. Molewhisker began to eat.
"So what's the plans you have for this afternoon?" Violet Dawn asked as she was looking at what they had Blossomfall was thinking of what they were going to do as she seemed puzzled about what they were going to do.
"A two and a half hour to three hour drive to Orlando but we came here to pick up a few things to take for the trip." Blossomfall mewed as she wanted to see if they were going to drive off with some food so they didn't spend too much money on food.
"I got some cutlets and chicken salad if you want to take those with you." Violet Dawn mewed as she was willing to have them take some food with them if they were going to use the food.
"Sure we can take that." Blossomfall mewed as she was going to take what she wanted with her.
"That's good, let's spend the remaining amount of time talking until the room's ready." Thunderstar mewed as he placed down some of the used dishes.
Time would tick by as the hours came and went. As four in the afternoon rolled around. Blossomfall had everything sat up and loaded. Thunderstar and Violet Dawn were waiting outside as they had some final words for them before they departed on their journey.
"Now I wanted to wish you luck for the trip ahead but there will be storms on and off that I will warn you about so be careful out there." Thunderstar mewed as Blossomfall had everything loaded up. Blossomfall nodded as she was getting the truck ready to have it up and running. Now was the time to make the announcement.
"Thanks, Blossomfall mewed. She got up as she began to walk into the house as she was going to announce when they were going to leave. Everyone except for Molewhisker was in the kitchen as Blossomfall entered. "Everyone, we're ready to depart for Orlando, gather your belongings as this will be the trip of a lifetime!" Blossomfall called out as she was ready to drive out. Violet Dawn nodded as she was going to bid them farewell. The cats began to head out the door as they made sure that they went to the bathroom first. Violet Dawn walked to where Molewhisker was as she had some news for him.
"Molewhisker, Blossomfall is getting ready to go, pack your stuff up and they could get out onto the road." Violet Dawn mewed. Molewhisker didn't say anything as he just nodded, she then began to pack up as he was packed up within a minute. He carried his stuff out as everyone had gathered outside. Molewhisker didn't use the bathroom as of yet so he did so as he didn't want to go out on the road. Once done, he grabbed his stuff as he had gathered outside.
"I'll miss you all." Thunderstar mewed as he hugged everyone as he was getting them ready for the trip out.
"I'll miss you." Violet Dawn mewed as she hugged and kissed Molewhisker as she would miss his company. Molewhisker nodded as he hugged Violet Dawn back. One by one, the cats began to load into the truck as Blossomfall was back in the driver's seat.
"I'll miss you too. I am going to call you when we get to the next hotel." Blossomfall mewed as she looked at Thunderstar and Violet Dawn.
"Okay we'll be waiting." Violet Dawn mewed as Thunderstar waved them goodbye. Blossomfall then pulled out of the driveway as she drove off. Jupiter Beach farewell, hello Orlando.
The truck drove down the highway as the cats were keeping an eye out with the weather as the weather was expected to get ugly. Poppyfrost kept her eyes open as she kept herself open.
"Well the clouds are gathering overhead. Another storm is coming." Poppyfrost mewed as she looked at Blossomfall.
"Yeah, I'm keeping my paw on the brakes in case something goes wrong." Blossomfall mewed as if they wanted to see if she could stay on the road. Molewhisker and Ivypool were playing with the turtles they bought as well as the other stuffed animals that Molewhisker brought along with him.
"The turtles are the giant machines that fly along the ocean as we're under the water and trying to get to the surface of the stars." Molewhisker began as he was playing the pings of the radar playing on his phone. Ivypool laughed as she was playing along, flying along the air of the car.
"Leatherback flying along the air like a plane in the sky, on its way to Orlando!" Ivypool called out as they were playing along. Cherryfall looked to her right as she saw that her brother and Ivypool were having fun. Suddenly a bolt of lightning crashed to the ground as a clap of thunder was heard a moment later. It was strange.
"That's strange, there's a storm on one side and sun on the other." Poppyfrost began. Another lightning bolt crashed to the ground as she looked around. Another clap of thunder was heard as she was getting nervous.
"What is the chance that we're getting struck by lightning?" Dovewing asked as she was getting scared as another flash of lightning was seen.
"Very small, probably a bit more than winning the lottery." Blossomfall mewed as she continued to drive along in the gathering storm.
"What is it with this weather as it's something we've been dealing with all week." Honeyfern asked as she didn't know much about what was going on.
"I don't know but we need to deal with it for now as there is nothing we can do about it. The good news is that it is not raining." Blossomfall responded as she was happy that it wasn't raining. Suddenly, they went under the overpass as a torrent of rain fell from the sky, slamming on the windshields as Blossomfall turned on the wipers to get the rain away so she could see something. Poppyfrost looked at Blossomfall as she didn't like what she said that wasn't going to happen had already happened.
"You had to open your mouth to say that, didn't you?" Poppyfrost grumbled as she now had to deal with the weather along with Blossomfall driving at a reduced speed to avoid any collisions with other drivers. Molewhisker and Ivypool were too busy playing to notice this as the weather offered them creativity.
"Turtles flying through the typhoon on their way to the stars!" Molewhisker began as his turtle was getting battered as he was simulating the events of the storm happening outside with his turtle. Ivypool looked on ahead as she was getting ready to crash into Molewhisker to throw his turtle off course. "Steer away!" Molewhisker gleefully called out as he tried to steer his turtle away from colliding with Ivypool.
"Get back on course!" Ivypool laughed as she continued to play with her turtle. Dovewing was getting annoyed with her sister enjoying herself as she kept shouting as she was having fun with Molewhisker.
"Will you two shut up?! I'm trying to text Tigerheart here!" Dovewing shouted as she wanted to get them to quiet down.
"What do you know about playtime? You never played with anyone before?" Ivypool asked as she wanted Dovewing to play with her. Dovewing ignored them as they continued to battle through the storm. Blossomfall was still keeping her eyes open as she wanted to make sure she didn't crash into anything head on as she was oblivious to the playing in the back.
"So, how much farther do we have to keep going?" Poppyfrost asked as she was trying to get through this storm.
"Not very far." Blossomfall mewed as she knew that they didn't need to keep going farther. Poppyfrost nodded as Blossomfall drove off onto the exit and began to drive along.
"Yeah this rain isn't going to let up so we're going to see if we can bring the luggage into the hotel while you go park the truck." Honeyfern mewed as she didn't know if this was going to be the case, Blossomfall and Poppyfrost could go park while they went to get the rooms.
"Hmm, dividing and conquering in two groups, I think we can try figuring out how we can get a room and our cards for the rooms." Blossomfall mewed as she knew that this was the key. Blossomfall continued to look as she drove down, the hotel was getting closer and closer. "Okay we're getting close so pack your bags up as we are going to be pulling into the room." Molewhisker and Ivypool were playing with the stuffed cats as they were flying on the turtles. They turned to Blossomfall as they saw the fact that they needed to pack up in preparation for the room. Blossomfall continued to drive along the room as she wanted to see the fact that the hotel was getting closer and closer.
"Hey there it is." Poppyfrost mewed as they began to pull up to the hotel as the hotel was high up and split into two pieces, they had finally arrived to where they needed to be. Blossomfall pulled up to the hotel entrance as everyone except for Blossomfall got out of the truck as they went to find where they wanted to get the information for the hotel.
Poppyfrost and Honeyfern went up to the front desk as the line went by fast as they wanted to see where they were going to get what they wanted.
"Excuse me." Poppyfrost began. The cat turned her chair around as she looked at the two of them.
"Hi, how can I help you?" She mewed. She was wondering what they were going to do for them.
"Hey, we purchased two rooms a few days ago, so are they ready?" Poppyfrost asked if this was going to be the case.
"Yes they are." She responded. She then slid her over a piece of paper as she was ready to have the information signed. "Just sign here and I will give you the room numbers for you seven to sleep in." Poppyfrost nodded as she began jotting her name down as Honeyfern was waiting around. Molewhisker and his friends had gone off to the bathroom to use it.
"I'm sure that they'll turn up." Honeyfern responded that the long drive had overfilled their bladders. Cherryfall and Ivypool turned up as they were ready.
"So want to grab one of those rollers to carry the luggage up?" Cherryfall asked as they were ready to help out.
"We don't have much luggage but okay." Honeyfern mewed. The cat working at the front desk was ready as she began speaking to Poppyfrost.
"Okay the rooms are 2542 and 2544. The first number is the building you're in, the second number is the floor you're on and the last two numbers are the rooms you're staying in." She explained as she passed them the cards they were going to access the rooms. Dovewing and Molewhisker arrived as he walked up to Poppyfrost and Honeyfern.
"Oh Molewhisker you're here, want to help get our stuff up to our rooms while we buy tags and necklaces for the room keys." Honeyfern mewed as she was hoping for someone strong to help carry everything.
"I bet I can do that.' Molewhisker mewed. Cherryfall came wheeling in with the stuff that they needed as Molewhisker looked at her.
"Room's 2542 and 2544, we're heading too, let's look for an elevator." Molewhisker mewed to Cherryfall as the two of them were off within moments. Poppyfrost walked over to where Blossomfall was as the truck had been emptied out.
"Okay Blossomfall, we're heading up to the parking garage to look for a spot then we agreed we'll meet everyone at their rooms." Poppyfrost told her as they drove off, they then turned around as they were going to be looking for a parking spot. They then got to a gate as Poppyfrost handed Blossomfall her key. Blossomfall scanned it as she was enthused by this, The gate opened as the two cats began to look for parking in the garage.
"Where is everyone I might ask if I wanted to find out?" Blossomfall mewed as she seemed curious about where everyone went off to.
"Molewhisker and Cherryfall decided to take the luggage up to the room. Honeyfern, Dovewing and Ivypool I believe went off to the store to buy stuff for the room and we're parking the truck." Poppyfrost told Blossomfall about where their whereabouts were.
"Okay, as long as you told me about everyone, we can just meet up with everyone, I just want to get up to the room and relax for a bit. I've spent all afternoon driving and I would like to finally eat something." Blossomfall mewed as she was moreover exhausted. Poppyfrost decided to keep her eyes open for her as she spotted something. A spot that was empty.
"Hey Blossomfall, there's a spot we can park in." Poppyfrost told Blossomfall to park there. Blossomfall nodded as she parked in that spot.
"Okay let's go meet up with the others." Blossomfall told Poppyfrost as she got out of the truck, it was still raining but not as heavily as before and without the lightning. Blossomfall went down from the parking garage as they began walking along, they opened up a door as they then went inside. Poppyfrost went up as she clicked the button for the elevator to the fifth floor. The elevator arrived as the two cats plus various others boarded for their respective floors. Once they reached the fifth floor, the door opened as they disembarked, now came the task of finding their room.
Poppyfrost and Blossomfall were walking down the hallway as they were looking for where their rooms were. Poppyfrost looked as the even numbers were on their left and the odd ones were on their right. Finally room's 2542 and 2544 had been spotted. Poppyfrost got out the room card and scanned it. A green flicker of light was seen as Poppyfrost pushed down on the handle of the door and opened it. Poppyfrost and Cherryfall were already inside as Ivypool had joined them.
"Oh I see that you three are getting yourselves comfortable." Poppyfrost began. She walked in as they had all set themselves up as she looked around.
"Yeah we are, I've got what I wanted and Honeyfern and Dovewing are still shopping. I bet they want everything in the store." Ivypool responded as she relaxed her head on the pillow.
"Ivypool, our room is next door, let's gather our belongings with Honeyfern's and Dovewing's and we'll be in the next room." Blossomfall told her that they were heading next door. Now the question was. "Where are our belongings by the way?"
"They're still on the cart." Molewhisker replied as he pointed to the cart that the belongings were still on. Blossomfall nodded as she and Ivypool wheeled the cart over to the next room. Blossomfall got out her key card and scanned the room. The door opened as they went inside. Ivypool then took her belongings and rushed to her bed that she wanted to sleep on. Blossomfall was still unpacking.
"Wow you must be willing for your own bed." Blossomfall began. Ivypool looked at Blossomfall.
"I had to spend the entire week sleeping with Dovewing so I am relieved of having my own place to sleep on." Ivypool told Blossomfall that she wanted to be able to sleep somewhere all by herself for once.
"I don't blame you, Dovewing constantly snores." Blossomfall mewed. The door opened as Dovewing came inside. She was carrying a bag's worth of candy.
"Honeyfern is giving out the pouches to store the keys in so we might as well do that." Dovewing told the group as they were now settling into their rooms.
"So what is it that you've got us?" Blossomfall asked Dovewing if she was planning to share her stuff with the rest of the group. Dovewing dumped out a bag's worth of candy onto the small table beside her. "Wow that's a lot." Blossomfall commented.
"It's all for me though." Dovewing responded. Blossomfall slapped her paw against her face as she didn't like how Dovewing was behaving.
"Dovewing you know you'll be fat one day and then you will not be able to move that well because of it. You realized that right?" Blossomfall mewed, Dovewing just ignored her. Ivypool was busy putting food away as she wanted to see what they were going to do.
"So we're just waiting on Honeyfern, is that correct?" Ivypool asked as she was putting the food away so it didn't perish.
"Yeah we are." Blossomfall responded as the door opened, Honeyfern just entered as she walked around in the room.
"I'm here, I just got a bit held up by Poppyfrost who offered me chicken salad." Honeyfern mewed as she was wondering where her bed was. "Where am I sleeping tonight?" Honeyfern asked.
"You're with me." Blossomfall responded. Honeyfern nodded as she grabbed the phone and began dialing in the number. The phone began ringing as she was wondering if she was going to pick up.
"Hello?" Violet Dawn began.
"Hey this is Blossomfall, we have just arrived in our room and we would like to say we are safe and sound. How are you doing?" Blossomfall began as she wanted to see how she was doing.
"I'm fine, thank you for asking. Thunderstar feels bummed out as he didn't add any relish to the chicken salad." Violet Dawn told Blossomfall she was fine as well.
"Yes, we encountered some freaky weather on our way here and we hope that this will be the end of it and that more isn't bound to happen." Blossomfall mewed as she wanted to make sure that this weather was going to be over and that something like this wasn't bound to happen while they were in the park.
"I bet it won't but keep your eyes peeled for the weather, when it comes around, it will ruin your day if you aren't careful." Violet Dawn decided to give Blossomfall a heads up about the weather if it decided to get ugly again while they were having a good time.
"Okay I will thank you." Blossomfall mewed as she knew she had to keep her eyes peeled for the weather. "Okay I love you, bye." Blossomfall then hung up as she was heading off to the shower if she was going to get herself cleaned up for the day ahead. Ivypool and Dovewing were relaxing on their beds as it would be their turn to get cleaned up.
An hour would tick by as Blossomfall curled up with Honeyfern. Today had been a long day and they were going to need all the rest and strength they needed if they were going to go for a romp around the park and get on the rides. Closing her eyes, she drifted off to sleep.
[A/N]: I feel like I am falling further behind with this especially since swapping hotels wouldn't guarantee you much time to write, next two chapters will be about the parks, one for each chapter and they're going to be on the rides. Well I'll see you all later. Goodbye.
