7:43am I slept well last night. I ended up sleeping on an old straw bed in that stone building I found last night. I wasn't the only one who ended up sleeping in the straw bed. I woke up covered in little bugs. They were little brown mite looking things. The little guys didn't seem harmful, but bugs are bugs. I don't think I'll be sleeping there again.
8:01am Those darn bugs got in my food. It looks like they only got into one package of bread, but that's one meal gone. I think I found where they are coming from. There was a whole nest of the little bugs in a pile of leaves under the bed. I'm going to have to clean this place out or just pick one of the other buildings.
8:56am I think this town is far enough into the forest to stay hidden at least for a while. I'm going to take a look around and see what I can find. It looks as though there are only maybe fifteen buildings or so.
9:36am Scratch that, apparently the town is much bigger than I first saw and has three parts. The part I'm currently on is on top of a cliff. The second part is at the bottom of the cliff and the third part is in the cliff itself. I am going to explore this top spot first.
12:10pm Well it's time for a lunch break. I found some cool stuff. It looks like the top part of the town is to protect the lower parts. One of the stone buildings was a watchtower. I didn't dare go to the top. Vines had started to grow up the inside of the tower and had eaten up the wooden stairs and even the stone itself. It seemed as though the vines themselves were holding up the tower. Most of these buildings seemed to be barracks and since they were wood most of them had rotted away leaving only their stone foundations. I couldn't find anything in what was left of the barracks. I think the building that I slept in was some kind of commander's quarters. I found some silverware, plates, bowls, and cups. It was a good find. I've only searched about 10 of the buildings, the rest are out in their own corner.
2:23pm I think I found another commander's quarters. There were also some more barracks, but the most interesting find was a huge collapsed shed. I found a rotted out door that led underground. It looked really dark down there so I did not go down, but I bet there's some cool stuff down there. We will see. I am going back to the commander's quarters that I slept in yesterday so I can clean it up.
7:00pm Geez that was a lot of work. I work right through dinner. When I got back I took a look at that bug nest again and I just decided to gut the whole room. I pulled the mattress and bed frame right out the front door and down the road a bit to get that bug infested thing out of here. I found a broom in a closet and swept not only the room but the whole house. The building wasn't very big but with all the dust and dirt it took a while. While cleaning I realized how bare the building was. There was nothing in there except for one room. It was originally locked but since the door was so old I could knock it right over. Inside the room is what I think is all the furniture of the house. All things considered it wasnt that much but the small room was packed. I am going to leave that room for later.
7:30pm It gets dark so fast in the forest. Since its summer it usually gets dark at like 9:30ish, but here it's already getting dark. For a bed tonight it looks like all I get is the floor. I have a blanket and I am going to use my bag as a pillow. I probably won't get much sleep, but it is what it is.
