The sun rose over the Loud House as Sora woke up, feeling good. He hadn't felt this way for a long time, the Loud kids were already awake and in line for the bathroom. Sora had walked up and noticed the line for the bathroom, he stood behind Lana who started talking to him. "Hey Sora, thanks for singing me and Lola to sleep. It really helped me yesterday." Sora smiled and rustled the little grease monkey's hair. "No problem Lana, it was a pleasure to give a concert to such a lovely audience." Sora then smelled something foul close by, he looked down and saw Lily with a full diaper. "Well, it looks like someone already took her turn. Come on Lily, let's get you into a fresh diaper." Sora said, picking the baby up, when Lori chimed in. "Oh Sora you don't need to do that, I can change Lily." "Nonsense Lori, I don't mind, besides I can tell you need some time in the bathroom." Sora said walking to Lily and Lisa's room.
Sora began to change the baby, he was doing it so well, almost as if he's done this before. Sora finished up and got Lily dressed. "There we go, Lily all fresh and clean for the day." Sora said while Lily giggled and he brought her downstairs. Sora got downstairs and saw Lynn Sr. and Rita. "Good morning Mr. And Mrs. Loud. Thank you for letting me stay the night." Sora said, putting Lily in her high chair. "Morning Sora, did you change Lily?" Rita asked surprised he'd do something like that. "Well she had a full diaper and I didn't feel right letting her walk around in it." He said as he started playing Peek-a-boo with Lily. The Loud Parents were surprised with the young man. Soon the rest of the loud kids joined their parents at the table, while Sora fed Lily.
The house phone rang and Rita got up to answer it. "Hello? Yes, No I understand. Okay, feel better." Rita hung up the phone. "Well that's gone be a problem." Rita said, sitting down. "Something happened dear." Mr.Loud asked. "Beth called, she wasn't feeling well so she had to cancel. I guess I'll need to take the day off." Rita said, Sora perked up. "If you guys need, I can watch Lily for the day if you need someone Mrs.Loud? I don't have school so it wouldn't be a problem for me." Sora suggested, wiping some of the food off Lily's face. Lynn and Rita looked at each other, not sure if it was a good idea, but they didn't have much of a choice. "Please Mr. and Mrs. Loud, it's the least I can do for you guys for letting me stay the night." Sora chimed in trying to put the Loud Parents at ease. Rita and Lynn didn't really have much of a choice so they agreed.
After breakfast the Loud Family drove off in Vanzilla, leaving Sora and Lily alone. Just then the voice of an old man was heard. "A little young to be Babysitting ain't ya?" Sora turns to see the Loud's elderly neighbor sitting on his porch. " I'm just repaying a debt to the Loud family." Sora then noticed the bars on the old man's vest. "Oh, you served in Korea?" The old man perked up. "That I did, I was a fighter pilot. One of the hardest dang jobs I've ever had. Name's Bud Groose." He said while sipping his iced tea. "Sora, it's nice to meet you Mr.Groose. I'd love to stay and chat but Lily is getting restless." Sora said waving goodbye to the old man. "Hm, nice kid."
Sora walked back inside and put Lily down for a nap. He slowly walked out and closed the door quietly. He made his way downstairs and started to clean the house, around noon he got Lunch made for Lily and himself, afterwards he took Lily to the park to play with the other babies. Sora takes a seat on the bench, not long after he's joined by a tall Blonde woman. "I'm sorry but can I sit here please, I've been on my feet all day." Sora moved over and smiled. "Go ahead." Sora would say as the older woman sat down next to him. "So which one is yours?" The woman asked, Sora pointed to Lily, which made the woman blink in shock. "You're watching Lily Loud?" "Yup, Mr. and Mrs. Louds regular babysitter wasn't feeling well so I offered." Sora said as he took a sip of water. "But you're so young, you should be in school." The woman protested, making Sora's eyes pop wide open. "Oh, um, well I'm homeschooled. My parents are fine with me babysitting. Plus the Louds are watching me while my parents are away so I figured this was the least I could do for them." Sora said quickly, making up an excuse on the spot. "Well I guess it can't be helped. I'm Samantha by the way, Samantha Pingrey." The woman introduced herself. "Sora, Sora….Davidson. A pleasure Mrs.Pingrey." Sora said, making up a new last name on the spot.
After some time talking to Samantha he took Lily home where he was soon joined by the Loud children. Their ears were greeted by Sora singing to Lily once again, this time it was Tiny Dancer by Elton John. When Sora finished the song, the loud kids gave him a round of applause. A bit embarrassed he took a bow. "Dude, you got some Pipes on you. You ever think about singing professionally?" Luna asked. "Me, Sing, as a career. In front of people, LOOKING AT ME……I need to use the bathroom." Sora raced upstairs and closed the door, leaving the loud kids in shock with his reaction. "Was it something I said?" Luna asked, feeling slightly guilty.
In the bathroom Sora was splashing his face with water. "No no no, you aren't any good at singing. That's what they always said. You aren't good, you have to stop." Sora said to his reflection. "And why should you stop?" The reflection said back to him, causing Sora to jump. "Who, who are you?" "I'm you, well the logical part of you. Why do you think you aren't good at singing? The others seem to like it." The reflection said. "You know why, they said I'd never make it as a singer, or an actor. That all I would ever amount to is working retail until I'm 50." Sora said in a defeated tone. "And yet Luna has said you could go pro, Lana and Lola asked if you could sing for them last night, and Lily always falls asleep when you sing to her." His reflection retorted. "But that's different. The Louds, they don't know me. They're just being nice to me." Sora said, hitting the sink.
Just then there was a knock at the bathroom door. "Sora, are you alright in there?" Luan said from the other side of the door. "Yeah I'm fine." Sora said, opening the door. "Sorry for freaking out like that, I have, a bad case of stage fright." He said as he wiped his face from some leftover water. "Oh, um, so, we're going to the mall. Do you wanna come with us? Luan asked, understanding the stage fright. "Sure, I've never really been to a mall before." Sora said as he and Luan headed downstairs to the others. Luna looked up at Sora and approached him. "Hey dude. Sorry if I triggered something bad." Luna said, rubbing her arm. "It's fine, you couldn't have known, but I do appreciate the words." Sora said with pained half smile. "Alright guys, you ready to go to the mall?" Lori said, grabbing the keys to Vanzilla. The loud kids cheered as they walked out to the family van with Sora not far behind. "Looks like this day is just getting started." Sora thought as he climbed into Vanzilla.
