AN: Just a short silly piece. No offense intended.
Prompt: Prince Charming
Sakura and Eriol had just came back from watching a play. It was 'Sleeping Beauty'.
"That reminds me of that time when we had a school play too. I think it was... in fourth grade?" Sakura said as they got ready for bed.
"I wasn't there yet. What was it?" Eriol asked as he climbed into bed.
"It was also Sleeping Beauty, actually." Sakura recalled.
"What a coincidence. What did you play as?" Eriol asked.
"I, well, uhm..." Sakura suddenly realized it probably wasn't a good idea to tell him about what happened. Eriol was great, but he could be a little possessive. Okay, maybe more than just a little.
"Well?" Eriol asked, raising his eyebrows. "Which role did you play?"
"Oh, it's not important." Sakura said. "It was a long time ago. Let's just go to sleep."
"Sakura..." Eriol knew she was being evasive and that only made him more curious. "What role did you play?"
"I was, uh... I can't remember it now." Sakura said.
"I know you're lying." Eriol said.
"Okay, fine! I was the prince." Sakura finally told him.
"The prince?" Eriol asked in surprise. "Who was the princess?"
"I'm tired. Let's just go to..." Sakura was about to pull the cover over her head, but he stopped her
"Who was the princess?" Eriol asked again.
"Syaoran." Sakura said. "But nothing happened! When I was about to kiss him, the Dark..." She stopped talking, but it was a little too late.
"You what?!" Eriol stared at her in surprise.
"Like I said, the Dark was activated." Sakura said.
"You were going to kiss him?" Eriol asked.
"Yes, it was part of the plot. The kiss was part of the plot, but in the end, we didn't kiss anyway. Now, can we please drop it?" Sakura said.
Eriol thought about it for a few seconds. "Okay." He finally said.
But he didn't drop it...
The next day, they were messing around before bed and Eriol was being a little rougher than usual, a little more possessive.
"I knew it!" Sakura said. "You're jealous of Princess Syaoran!"
"Whatever do you mean?" Eriol feigned innocence.
"Yeah, I know you better than that. Are you serious right now? You're jealous, of a nine years old boy, from twenty years ago!"
"He got to be your princess." Eriol finally said somewhat petulantly.
"So? Do you want to be a Disney princess too?" Sakura asked incredulously. "He didn't get to be my princess, he played one. Big difference there."
Eriol didn't reply, but he sulked.
"You're unbelievable..." Sakura lay back in bed and ignored him for a bit, hoping he'd get over it.
He didn't.
Ten minutes later, he was still sulking.
"You know what else is different?" Sakura got up and peppered his face with little kisses. "This is no school play. You are my husband..."
Eriol didn't say anything, but he didn't pull away either.
"My real life prince charming..." Sakura continued.
"Well, I guess, I might've overreacted." Eriol finally admitted and turned to kiss her properly.
Sakura smiled widely and kissed him back.
The topic of Princess Syaoran was never brought up again.
