This is Part III of the Summer Games Special. Last time, Spyro and Cynder were interrogating the Assassin, who somehow survived his last encounter with Spyro. Though he didn't survive this one, of his own accord this time. Apparently some of Malefor's followers are planning something big, and he was the only one with a lead on it. But thankfully, it seems Spyro knows just the guy to call. And it appears to be Angus MacGyver. So what's the mission? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes outside the headquarters of the Phoenix Foundation, where MacGyver and Bozer are about to enter the famous mission room, joined by Jack, Riley, and Matty, as well as Spyro and Cynder, much to the surprise of everyone but Matty.)

PHOENIX FOUNDATION - NOW ENTERTAINING SOME VERY STRANGE GUESTS

(As everybody but Matty, Spyro, and Cynder enter the room, the entire group is caught off guard by the dragons in the room)

Jack: Whoa, have I stepped into a fantasy game?

Matty: Not quite Jack. Everyone, this is Spyro and Cynder, a pair of old friends.

Spyro: Pleasure to meet all of you.

MacGyver: (Shaking Spyro's hand) Coi ui vin tiichi ekess tafiaf wux.

Cynder: (Hearing MacGyver speak Draconian) Impressive. You've taken to the Ancestors' tongue better than anyone I've encountered in this city so far.

MacGyver: Thanks.

Spyro: Matty's told me a lot about you four. From what I've heard, you're her best team.

Jack: I take that as a high complement.

Riley: It really is, considering the Realms has some of the most elite special units in the world.

Cynder: We just do what we can.

Bozer: So... what's the mission?

(With that, Matty pulls up the file on the plasma screen in the back of the room)

Matty: This is a figure known only as the Assassin, real name Abel.

Spyro: Ever since the defeat of Malefor back in 2008, he's been working with a group of the Dark Master's followers to set up something big. Something we've sadly only recently uncovered, and just barely at that.

Bozer: Wait, you mean they've been planning whatever this is for 13 years?

Cynder: And they're very good at staying under the radar. Fortunately, Abel here slipped up and we were able to catch him. However, he didn't give us any useable clues. But we did manage to capture a laptop at the site. Our team is currently working on decrypting it and are having a tough go at it.

Riley: Put me in a room with that thing and I should be able to crack it.

Spyro: That's what we're counting on.

Matty: Admittedly, there's a lot we don't know on this mission, but we do know whatever these goons are planning, it's going to be big and it's going to be dangerous.

Cynder: Once we arrive in the Realms, you'll meet up with the rest of our team, and begin a joint operation to uncover what Malefor's followers have been working on for the past decade and a half, and put a stop to it.

Spyro: So, what do you say? Are you in?

MacGyver: Always wanted to visit the Dragon Realms. Let's do this.

Matty: Excellent. There's a plane on the runway, getting fueled up and ready to take you to the Realms. Once you get in, radio back to base and catch me up on the situation based on what you learn from the Realms' team.

Jack: Wait, let me get this straight, we're about to go into a country of dragons, and have to piece together a terror plot that we know nothing about?

MacGyver: Sounds like a usual Phoenix mission to me, Jack.

Jack: Still, there's something about this that's got me suspicious.

Matty: Suspicious how, Dalton?

Jack: Like somebody's hiding something. I'm calling it now, there's more to this than we think.

Matty: We'll figure it out once we get boots on the ground. Get going.

(And with that, the entire group leaves the conference room as our tale ends for today)
