Welcome back to Dragons Plus Phoenix! Last time, Riley and Ember just finished hooking up the hard drive from the Assassin's laptop to their system, just as Bozer and Elora ran in with a warning from MacGyver that doing that would trigger some sort of trap that the Assassin had set. Sadly though it was too late to stop the trap from triggering, giving the Assassin's followers hiding among the Temple's staff the cue to strike. So how is this going to go down? Will MacGyver and the rest be able to stop whatever is going on here? Read on to discover...
(Our tale resumes outside the Temple just as MacGyver and company arrive)
Spyro: (Running to the door) Looks like we got here just in time!
(And of course just Spyro says that, we hear the sirens and see the emergency lights blaring as a giant stone door starts rolling in front of the Temple's entrance)
Flame: You just had to say something, didn't you boss?
Cynder: Quickly! We have to stop that door!
(With that the group arrives at the door and the three dragons attempt to stop the door from shutting with their immense strength, but it fails, causing the three to fly back and nearly knock MacGyver and Jack over as the stone door slides in to place)
Flame: Great. The security door's just locked us out.
Spyro: How're we supposed to get in there now?
(At this point, we see MacGyver looking around, trying to find anything he can use, and straight out of the swamps he spots an old iron lance, damaged from battle ages ago, a patch of moss, and a giant stone.)
MacGyver: I've got an idea. But I need you guys to get me some things
Cynder: (Seeing as MacGyver grabs the iron lance and breaks off the rusted sections) What do you need?
MacGyver: Any source of sulfur and saltpeter you can get. And Hunter, I could use one of your rucksacks.
Hunter: (Takes an empty pouch from his belt) Here.
Spyro: Wait a second. Saltpeter? Sulfur?
MacGyver: (As he takes the rucksack from Hunter and fills it with moss) Trust me, it'll make sense chemically in a bit. (To Flame) Can you reduce this to ash?
Flame: Sure? Why?
Jack: (Trying to put it together) I think I see what you're doing here.
MacGyver: I'm not so sure it's going to work, but we have to try.
Cynder: I'll get what you need.
(As Cynder flies off, we transition to inside where Riley, Ember, Bozer, and Elora are trying to figure out what just happened, with Ember specifically prying open a panel on her computer system while Riley pulls out her tablet and tries to connect to the security system)
Ember: Whatever that was completely bricked Shelley.
Riley: Not to mention apparently locked us out of the security system.
Bozer: (Checking his phone) They must have de kind of signal jammers set up, I can't reach Mac and the others.
Elora: So we've got no eyes on anything, no way to communicate with the rest of the team, and absolutely no idea who we can trust out there?
Bozer: Yeah, pretty much.
Riley: But I wouldn't worry too much. I've been able to hack unbreakable systems before. Give me a minute to work my magic.
(Given a few seconds, Riley does eventually get access to the security system, but not in the way we were expecting.)
Riley: The cameras must've shorted out too. I've only got audio from the security system.
Elora: Audio's all I need. I can help fill in the gaps. I've memorized the security system layout.
Ember: At this rate, all we can do is hope Mac and company are on their way.
Riley: Not quite, we can gather data on what these guys are up to using what we have. But we'll have to move quietly.
Bozer: So... shall we?
(With a silent agreement, the quartet embark out of the computer room with Elora as their guide, ending our tale for today.)
And that looks like a good spot to wrap up. So, what's Mac working on our front? Some of the chemical compounds he requires might give it away for those savvy enough to figure it out. I'm honestly curious as to what people think he's up to. Let me know your thoughts. So, how is everything going to go down? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
