(Iacon, Corvowing Prime's laboratory, third person POV...)
Corvowing had gotten permission from Optimus Prime and the High Council to make new Aerialbots, Soldiers, Rocket Soldiers, Protectors, Shotgunners, Snipers, Cloakers, Brutes, Heavy Soldiers, Destroyers, melee specialists, and artillery specialists, Defenders, Captains, Medics, Autotroopers, Autobot Vehicon Jets, Autobot Vehicon Cars, Autobot Vehicon Tanks, Autobot Vehicon Helicopters, Autobot Vehicon Tanker Trucks and many other generic Autobots for the Autobot armies. The rest of the generic Autobots were being made to resemble different Autobots, Decepticons and generic Mercenaries from throughout the Transformers franchise. Once they came online, they were given lots of frozen time to be caught up on recent events.
Corvowing said to his Aerialbots, "I want you to rendezvous with Savagestalker and provide some discreet backup for Omega Supreme. Under NO circumstances must you break radio silence, as Soundwave can tap into Autobot communications. Under NO circumstances are you to engage Megatron on your own, even with superior numbers and superior battle experience. He's a gladitorial pit-fighter who can take on an army of Cyber-Ninjas. Same with Soundwave. And under NO circumstances must you reveal yourselves to Megatron, Soundwave and Breakdown by simply appearing with other Autobot troops on the battlefield. The main focus of this mission is absolute stealth. Are we clear?"
Sonicburst Prime and his followers salute Corvowing Prime and reply, "Sir yes sir!"
The newly created Autobots rush off in their vehicle, insect and animal modes to carry out their assignments.
(Meanwhile, in the skies of Iacon...)
In a Decepticon warship, Megatron says to Breakdown and Soundwave, "Maintain this heading! The device shows the Omega Key is directly ahead!"
Breakdown then asks, "I thought Zeta said it was gonna come to US?"
Soundwave then points out, "We are being intercepted!"
Up ahead, Omega Supreme comes charging and fires upon the two Decepticon warships – all three of them resemble the Generation 1 iteration of the Nemesis, something that Corvowing would see if he was there – while Megatron's warship opens fire on the Iacon Guardian, only for Omega Supreme to take no damage.
Breakdown notices Omega Supreme trying to play chicken with the warship and exclaims, "It's coming right at us!"
Megatron rebuffs him and replies, "Stay your course!"
As the warship gets even closer to Omega Supreme, Breakdown shrieks, "We're gonna dieeeeeee!"
Breakdown steers the warship to avoid a head-on collision with Omega Supreme, only for Omega Supreme to start ascending as he transforms to his robot mode.
As the warship turns around, Megatron states, "Turn around and – where did it go?"
Breakdown replies, "He's gone! What is this guy? Do you think he knows about the Omega Key?"
Omega Supreme lands on a large beam strong enough to support his tremendous weight and he grabs the warship in his claws.
Megatron replies back as he throws away the fake Omega Key, "No, Breakdown – he IS the Omega Key!"
As the last parts of Omega Supreme's armor click into place, he says to the Decepticons, "Identity: Omega Supreme. Enemy status: TERMINATED."
He throws the warship into a tunnel that leaves Megatron and his two subordinates with the opportunity to recover without Omega Supreme knowing about it.
Breakdown then inquires, "What are we gonna do NOW, Megatron?"
Megatron replies, "SILENCE! This merely modifies my plan. If Omega Supreme IS the Key, then I shall FORCE him to open the gateway to Cybertron's core."
The three Decepticons exit the destroyed warship via a wrecked window.
After making it to the jump towards the bridge below them, Soundwave says to his master, "Megatron, there is a Decepticon dropship across the bridge. They appear to be scanning for survivors."
Megatron replies, "I see. We will rendezvous with the Decepticons on the bridge and coordinate an assault on Omega Supreme."
Just then, Roughstuff calls Megatron and says, "Come in, Megatron! This is Roughstuff, do you read me?"
Megatron answers, "Roughstuff! I am 7 clicks north of your position!"
Roughstuff replies, "Understood. Meet me at the bridge."
Megatron, Soundwave and Breakdown jumped down to the bridge, switched to vehicle mode, and started to drive towards the dropship as Roughstuff arrives as well.
Once the four Decepticons switched back to robot mode, Omega Supreme landed hard enough on the bridge to make everyone stumble, but not hard enough to actually break the supports.
Omega Supreme states, "Identification: Decepticons. Action: Terminate."
As Roughstuff transforms to jet mode in order to escape, a Decepticon Soldier says, "Fall back! Fall back and take cover!"
As Omega Supreme charges up his magnetic claws to suck up Decepticon Soldiers, Roughstuff blasts off in vehicle mode as Decepticons cry for help.
Once Omega lets go of his prisoners forcefully, the remaining Decepticons open fire on the Iacon Guardian, only to find their weapons are ineffective against Omega Supreme's extra hardened battle armor.
Soundwave points out, "Our weapons are ineffective."
Breakdown exclaims again, "We can't fight this thing! We gotta get out of here!"
Megatron replies, "Stand your ground, Decepticons! Destroy the bridge supports!"
The Decepticons open fire on the bridge supports, completely destroying them and causing Omega Supreme to fall into the distance below.
Breakdown remarks, "We did it, all right... but there goes your Omega Key."
Megatron responds non-caringly, "We can salvage the wreckage for what we need."
Suddenly, Omega Supreme comes back to the top in vehicle mode and says, "Target: Acquired. Mission: Destroy."
Megatron exclaims, "Fall back! Inside! Quickly!"
The three Decepticons fall back to the door as Omega Supreme fires his Energon-based disintegrating laser as his primary vehicle mode weapon.
Once the three Decepticons make it to the door, Breakdown states, "It's no use, Megatron! The door is locked!"
Soundwave then states in response, "Suggestion: Use Dark Energon to open the door."
Megatron replies, "An excellent idea, Soundwave."
Megatron spreads Dark Energon onto the door, completely breaking it apart.
The three Decepticons take cover inside the building and the secondary door closes just as Omega Supreme's main weapon obliterates the bridge completely.
Breakdown bemoans, "NOW what? How are we gonna beat this guy, Lord Megatron?"
Soundwave answers for his master, "During our approach to this sector, my sensors detected Heavy Ion Displacer cannons near the top of the chasm wall."
Megatron muses, "I see. We will lure Omega Supreme up there, and use the Autobot guns against him."
Breakdown then says, "I don't like it. It's too quiet. Why the cease-fire?"
Then, a door opens to reveal an Autobot Brute and an overshielded Shotgunner.
After contending with the two Autobots, a Heavy Soldier appears, spraying the battlefield in bullet holes.
After dealing with the Autobot Heavy Soldier, Soundwave states, "Megatron, I am receiving a Decepticon transmission."
In the Decepticon transmission, Roughstuff announces, "To all Decepticons who fight for the glory of Cybertron! Megatron has fallen! I, Roughstuff, have taken my rightful place as your leader!"
Megatron snarls into his commlink, "Roughstuff, you half-wit! I still function, a fact you shall regret when I choke the life out of you! Now, I order you to deploy ships for immediate evacuation!"
Soundwave then points out, "Roughstuff cannot hear you, Megatron. All communications to the surface has been jammed."
Megatron growls in reply, "Grrr. Let's head for that lift before that idiot Roughstuff causes irreparable harm."
The next door opens and as the Decepticon trio makes their way to the elevator, Omega Supreme starts firing from the windows.
Breakdown calls out, "Uh-oh... Here he comes!"
Megatron replies, "Keep moving, Decepticons! We need to reach that lift!"
After making it to the elevator, Soundwave remarks, "This lift will provide passage to the surface when activated."
Breakdown activates the console, and the elevator closes up, but it doesn't ascend.
Breakdown complains, "What's wrong with this thing?! Why can't we get it to move?!"
Soundwave answers, "The elevator is locked down."
Megatron sneers, "A simple solution, then: BREAK the locks!"
Breakdown and Soundwave break the emergency locks and the elevator starts to slowly ascend.
Megatron tries the commlink again and says, "Roughstuff, come in! This is Megatron!"
Soundwave points out, "There is too much interference. We must move higher to relay your signal."
Megatron snarls, "Can this feeble Autobot mechanism not move any faster?!"
Then Megatron muses, "It appears that we've lost that dull-witted brute, Omega Supreme. Not that he stood a chance against my intellect."
Just then, Breakdown saw Omega Supreme ascending towards the elevator's level of speed and getting prepared to ram into it.
Breakdown starts to say, "Uh, Megatron..."
Megatron asks, "What?" Megatron sees Omega Supreme and shouts, "WHAT?!"
Omega Supreme rams into the elevator and ascends a bit further from it before saying, "Target: reacquired. Weapons: engaging."
As Omega Supreme's main weapon batteries start charging, Breakdown remarks shakily, "Wow... he looks REALLY angry..."
Omega Supreme destroys the upper part of the elevator, preventing the mechanism from ascending any further.
As Omega Supreme descends to the elevator's level, he states, "Target identification: Megatron, Decepticon leader. Recommendation: complete termination."
As Omega Supreme prepares to charge his main weapon yet again, Megatron snarls, "You think you can destroy ME, Omega Supreme?! You think you can destroy MEGATRON?! Do your worst."
Omega Supreme fires his main weapon at the elevator and misses the three Decepticons as the elevator slides back down due to its emergency locks coming back online.
Breakdown asks, "We're still alive? We're still alive!... What happened?"
Megatron exclaims, "Open fire on the emergency locks! Destroy them!"
It took a few rounds to shoot the emergency locks twice before the elevator is back at ground level.
As Megatron and Soundwave start running to the exit on the right of the elevator, Breakdown exclaims, "Megatron, with all due respect, but are you CRAZY?! If we go out there, he'll melt us into scrap!"
Megatron rebukes him and asks in response, "Would you rather face his wrath, or mine?! Now jump!"
The Decepticon trio move across several platforms until they reach a tunnel.
Upon entering the tunnel, they find a trio of Autobots.
After dealing with them, Megatron and his subordinates started going down a tunnel and came across a trio of Decepticon Brutes.
One of the Brutes starts to say, "Lord Megatron! You're still functional! Thank Primus we found you—"
Suddenly, Omega Supreme's magnetic claws burst through the end of the tunnel behind the Brutes, knocking them to the floor as they then get sucked up and obliterated.
Omega Supreme states, "Decepticons: Located."
As Omega Supreme starts charging up his magnet, Breakdown exclaims, "He's trying to grab us!"
Megatron replies, "Stop whining and start shooting, Breakdown!"
The three Decepticons pour in as much firepower into Omega Supreme's hand as they can, and Omega Supreme retracts his hand to investigate the damage done to it. If there even is any damage to begin with.
As the three Decepticons start running towards an entrance on the right of the demolished tunnel end, Breakdown remarks, "Omega Supreme's right on our tails! There's gotta be some way to shake him!"
Megatron replies, "Move back inside! Perhaps we can avoid Omega's tracking systems."
Inside a pathway, the three Decepticons jump down an elevator shaft.
Just then, Soundwave points out, "Fortified Autobot position located straight ahead. Jamming Autobot scanners now. Our approach should be undetected."
After progressing towards a window where the Autobot soldiers can be seen, Megatron's pawns heard one Autobot say, "Omega Supreme has lost the Decepticons! Where'd they go?" And another one replied, "Scan this entire sector! Find them!"
Megatron remarks, "They must be coordinating with Omega Supreme, trying to locate us. Well, we'll give them what they want... along with a painful death!"
After shooting the first lock on the door to the control dome, one Autobot was heard asking, "What's going on?" and another was heard answering, "Someone's breaking in! Secure your defensive positions!"
After shooting the second and final lock to the door, the door opens and the slaughter begins.
Again, despite being outnumbered, Megatron and his goons come out on top.
Once Soundwave destroyed the last Autobot, Megatron remarked again, "Excellent work, Soundwave. Now unlock the exit door."
Soundwave did as he's told and two Autobot Brutes burst out of the exit doors.
Soon, the two Autobot Brutes were nothing more than mangled metal corpses.
After making it down the corridor to another door, Megatron infuses it with Dark Energon.
However, a couple of automated repair sentries start using their repair rays to counter the effects of Dark Energon.
Soundwave points out, "Megatron, the Autobot security systems are countering the effects of Dark Energon."
Megatron replies, "A futile gesture. Decepticons! Destroy the sentries!"
The three Decepticons destroy the sentries.
After transforming to vehicle mode, they start driving until they get outside.
However, they spot Omega Supreme flying ahead of them.
Breakdown calls out, "Watch out! Omega's mining the road ahead!"
After driving for another fifteen seconds, they come across an outpost entrance.
Upon entering the outpost and slaughtering the Autobots posted there, Breakdown laughs maniacally, "HahahahaHAA! Did you see me back there? Omega couldn't touch me!"
Soundwave then states, "Megatron, scans indicate a bridge nearby. Crossing there will give us access to a second elevator."
Breakdown bemoans, "Another elevator? I don't know... the last one didn't work out so well."
Megatron sneers, "Do not test me, Breakdown. My patience is at a critical low."
After opening the door upstairs, the three Decepticons come across Omega Supreme spawning and deploying a Destroyer, Snipers, Soldiers and Aerialbots on the walkways in front of the roof.
After taking cover from the Autobot gunfire, Breakdown exclaims, "We're pinned down!"
Megatron tries his commlink and asks, "Roughstuff, do you read me?"
Roughstuff runs with Silvercruncher and Tipnose to a cliff where they transform to jet mode as Roughstuff asks, "Megatron?! You're alive?"
Megatron retorts, "Spare me your theatrics! I need immediate air support! Attack Omega Supreme!"
After firing some missiles at Omega Supreme, the three Decepticon fliers flee as Omega Supreme states, "New targets: Acquired. Initiating: Pursuit."
Omega Supreme pursues the Decepticon Seekers and Megatron calls out, "There! Omega Supreme is distracted! Attack the Autobots!"
Suddenly, the three Decepticons are struck from behind by multiple invisible melee strikes and bullets from various shotguns, machine guns and miniguns at the same time.
But before Megatron can fight back blindly, the assailants disappear as quickly as they arrived.
Thankfully enough for the three Decepticons, Soundwave's Energon Repair Ray and Repair Drones healed them all.
Soon, the slaughter started again.
The main hindrance was the repair sentries fixing up the Autobot troops and the Destroyer with each and every bullet or Energon laser they take.
But once the three Decepticons burned that bridge, they made it into some maintenance tunnels and started to drive down them.
Just then, Breakdown spots Omega Supreme getting ahead again and calls out, "There's Omega again! He's getting ahead of us!"
After Omega Supreme transforms to robot mode and lands on a piece of a building overlooking the bridge terminal, Breakdown states, "Omega found us again. We can't go that way... what do we do now?"
Soundwave answers, "Mapping alternate route now."
Megatron adds, "Let's get off this road and out of the open. We WILL find another way!"
After entering the next room with a dead end, Breakdown breaks the maintenance access door as Megatron asks, "Soundwave! You led us to this place. What is your explanation?"
Soundwave answers, "Megatron, these are Iacon power maintenance tunnels. Moving through them will lead to the bridge terminal."
Megatron replies, "I see. Very well, Soundwave. You lead the way."
After contending with the Autobot forces stationed in the first maintenance tunnel, the three Decepticons follow the path to a large tube.
They headed inside and destroyed the overhead rocket sentry.
Upon reaching an energy conduit tunnel, Soundwave advises, "Caution: any contact with the energy beams will cause severe systems damage."
Breakdown explains, "You want us to go through that power conduit? No way! The Energon flow is off the charts! We'll be fried!"
Megatron snarls in warning, "Get moving, Breakdown!"
After making it to the other side of the energy tube in vehicle mode and shooting down the door, they escape the Energon flow and contend with some Aerialbots.
After breaking down another door, the Decepticon trio dash to the nearby room without rushing.
After using the console in the room to open the other door, the three Decepticons wait for the Energon beam to dissipate and they then rush to the door on the right, smash it down and enter the next room.
Upon entering the next room, Soundwave points out, "The bridge is just ahead. It may be necessary to extend it."
After going down the ramp, they head into another room before hearing the familiar sounds that Autobot Cloakers make when they're invisible.
After contending with the Cloakers, Soundwave activates the only console in the area and the three Decepticons proceed to the next area.
After contending with another Autobot ambush while managing to avoid Corvowing Prime's third away team, Breakdown activates the controls to extend the bridge.
The Decepticon trio could see for themselves the bridge extending.
Soundwave states, "The bridge is now extended. We now have access to the other side."
Megatron remarks, "Finally! Decepticons, move quickly! We must reach those guns!"
The three Decepticons switch to vehicle mode and drive through the tunnel to the first part of the bridge.
Once again, Breakdown spots Omega Supreme getting ahead and calls out, "There's Omega Supreme again! Watch out!"
Megatron calls out as well, "Faster, Decepticons!"
After descending to the outside part of the bridge, the three Decepticons avoid the mines Omega Supreme deployed.
Breakdown calls out again, "Heads up! More mines!"
Breakdown then asks, "Is Omega Supreme still out there? Did we lose him?"
Breakdown got his answer when he drove further and saw Omega Supreme getting ahead while transforming to his giant robot mode.
Breakdown muttered, "Guess not..."
Soon, they were about to make it to the next part of the bridge and Breakdown exclaimed, "We're not gonna make it!"
Megatron bellows, "You WILL reach the other side, or I'll have your head!"
The three Decepticons drove into the tunnel entrance in between Omega Supreme's legs without him reacting fast enough.
After jumping a destroyed part of the bridge, the Decepticon trio went to the end of the bridge in another room.
Breakdown exclaims again, "We made it! I can't believe it! WE MADE IT!"
Megatron deadpanned, "Yes, Breakdown. Your constant whining saw us through."
Soundwave then states, "Megatron, the second cargo elevator is nearby. It will take us directly to the Heavy Ion turrets."
Megatron replies, "Perfect! We shall ascend to the roof, and Omega Supreme will follow... to his destruction!"
In the hallway to the elevator platform, the three Decepticons encounter more Cloakers.
Megatron calls out, "More cloaked Autobots! Destroy them! Shoot anything that moves!"
After dealing with the Autobot Cloakers, Megatron and his pawns encounter an Autobot Brute ands some Soldiers.
After contending with them, Megatron remarks, "Autobot weaklings. Onward, to the lift!" Then the three Decepticons get onto the elevator.
After activating the console for the lift, the elevator ascends to the surface.
Soundwave then points out, "Megatron, I detect numerous Decepticon and Autobot signals a few dozen meters above us. We are nearing the surface battle."
Megatron calls out on his commlink, "Roughstuff, status report!"
Roughstuff replies, "The Autobots are counterattacking! Retreat! Decepticons, retreat!"
Megatron roars, "BELAY THAT ORDER! Decepticons, this is MEGATRON! Anyone caught fleeing this battle will be marked kill on sight! Press your attack immediately!"
Roughstuff starts to ask, "Attack? But Megatron—"
Megatron interrupts him with, "Especially YOU, Roughstuff! I order you to continue the assault! Megatron out!"
Once the lift reaches the rooftop, Megatron remarks, "We've reached the Heavy Ion turrets. Now, let Omega Supreme come!"
Once the three Decepticons make it outside, they are witness to the Heavy Ion turrets blasting their Seekers out of the sky.
One Autobot Soldier is heard saying, "Target the Seekers! Get those Decepticons out of the sky!"
Breakdown observes the scene and points out, "Looks like the Autobots are still using these guns, Lord Megatron! Our Seekers are getting shredded."
Megatron replies, "Blast the Autobots and take those guns by ANY means necessary!"
The Decepticon trio found themselves facing an Autobot Destroyer and many Autobot Soldiers with repair sentries.
After contending with them and securing the Heavy Ion turrets, Soundwave explains briefly, "Megatron, analysis indicates that the firepower of those turrets is sufficient enough to damage Omega Supreme."
And speak of the devil, Omega Supreme shows up in vehicle mode, as he can't fly in robot mode.
Breakdown then remarks, "Speaking of Omega Supreme..."
Megatron then states, "Precisely as I had planned. Decepticons! Man the turrets, and blast that obsolete hulk out of the sky!"
As the Decepticons mount the turrets, Omega Supreme says to commence the battle, "Targets: reacquired. Attack: commencing. Decepticons, prepare for destruction."
For over an hour, Omega Supreme's attack pattern ranges from firing his main weapon – his Energon-based disintegrating laser beam – and his other weapons consisting of volleys of energy projectiles and homing rockets. His attacks also range from moving side to side to deploying Aerialbots and switching different attack patterns.
But the Decepticons are smart enough to predict Omega Supreme's next moves and counter them with heavy gunfire from the turrets.
Omega Supreme's armor starts to emit small explosions as he starts to fall to the ground below.
Breakdown cackles, "Hahahahahahaha! He's going down! Eat THAT, rust-for-brains!"
As Breakdown aims down at the ground below the roof and fires his Plasma Cannon, Megatron remarks, "Omega flees like a coward! Now, let's finish the job!"
The three Decepticons jump down to where Omega Supreme is.
In the distance, Corvowing Prime is watching the whole thing unfold with all of the various Autobots he repaired and revived.
Corvowing grumbles, "It seems my efforts were in vain."
Corvowing says to the assembled Autobot troops, "Prepare for Plan B."
The assembled Autobot troops said in unison, "Sir yes sir!"
The End.
(Author's notes: Next chapter, the Iacon Guardian will be defeated and forced to open the gateway to Cybertron's core, which is the spark of Primus' planetary form.
See you all in chapter 5: The Final Guardian.)
