Hinata now found himself on the bus after school instead of in the club room. He was going up against Nekoma High. Apparently they were known to have a rivalry with Karasano. But he wouldn't know about that since most of the team's history was between there retired bitter old coach and the coach of Nemoma. But now that coach Ukai retired and his grandson stepped in the teams lost there connection. Hinata thought about how good this team must be for Karasano to be rivals with them as his town blurred by from the window. He turned to Kageayama siting next to him. "Do you know anything about Nekoma?" Hinata asked Kageayama as he turned towards him. " hm? How am I supposed to know."Kageayama spat back. "Well I thought maybe you looked them up or something." Hinata thought there must have been something about them out there like recorded scenes from preliminaries or articles. "Well how was I supposed to know if there was anything about them, Dumbass."Kageayama refused the fact there might have been an opportunity to help the team by doing this but it's not like Hinata did it ether.
Finally they have arrived at Nekoma and to Hinata's surprise he saw Kenma standing in front of him. "Wait you play for Nekoma?!" Hinata shouted at Kenma in surprise. Kurro started walking over and asked"who's this carrot top?" Kenma replied with " I met him yesterday while playing my game." Kurro then remembered that he said goodbye to someone as they left. " Ah, I think I remember now."Kageayama was also confused on how they knew each other. "Hinata, how do you know him?"Kageayama whispered to Hinata and his reply was "Remember how I ran a little to far and you had to go and find me, well thats who I met before you came over."
They were now all on the court the team wanted Hinata and Kagyama to preform there attack to see how they received it. Hinata was so happy that he got to be part of the starting lineup. He was nervous as if it were a real game. He just had to get in his head that this was for practice.
The whistle was blown and they were able to stand there ground against Nekoma pretty well. They had more scores than them but they weren't to far behind. Hinata was actually quite interested in Kenma his sets were amazing and precise even though he didn't seem that athletic.
Setting was as easy as any other match the hardest part is planning and Kenma definitely didn't plan for what was coming next.
There setter set to the Ace which he expected but Then Shoyo ran over at an inhumanly speed and jumped as high as the Ace even though he was two feet shorter. It took a second for him to realize but he had his eyes closed the entire time and hit the ball with perfect aim. It was the first time that something volleyball related impressed him or interested him and almost liked the thought of being challenged by it. He had never seen anything or anyone do something like it. He was shocked to say the least.
A few weeks later during practice the subject of the Practice camp came up. Kenma wasn't that thrilled until Kurro brought up Karasano. Then Kenma really perked up staring at Kurro. "Jeeze you really have a soft spot for that tangerine kid." Kurro laughed. "Well I've never seen anyone like him." Kenma said
