The train that Henry boarded has just made its stop in West Virginia and Henry manages to sneak off of the train and out of the railyard without being noticed. Henry then goes to search for another mode of transportation when he hears a man talking to his family about going on a trip to western Ohio that they must be planning on going. Henry follows them to their home and notices a pickup truck connected to a camper trailer which Henry then stowaways in when the family does not look and remains in the trailer until the end of the trip with Henry sneaking out of the trailer without being seen.

Henry then walks through the camping place the family drove to until he comes across an unattended tent from which he steals the sleeping bag, bear mace, mosquito repellent, a flashlight, some food and water and then walks further down to the entrance to the camping place until he finds a place to rest and then after eating, drinking and taking care of himself, he lays the sleeping bag down, gets in it and goes to sleep for the night.

At morning time Henry wakes up and steals a child's bicycle and leaves the camping place and rides towards the nearest town until he makes it to a park and eats and drinks before he decides to rob a convenience store, Henry ingeniously sets fire to the dumpster behind the store which distracts the employees long enough for Henry to steal some snacks, drinks, and over $100 and be gone before anyone even sees him at the store.

Henry then rides away to the nearest town toward the west where he once again goes into a store and steals clothes and a new wig. Henry then rides by houses and sees a child about Henry's age riding a black minibike which he starts planning on stealing as he knows it will be a better mode of transportation than the bicycle. Henry then sees a woman taking out the trash and in the trash is some glass bottles which Henry chooses to kill the child with.

Henry then leaves and finds a secluded area to sleep in and then goes to sleep for the night.
