You got me Chapter 12

Before Loren can respond, Vince holds her hand, he begins to dance to his favorite music, he hopes Loren can keep up.

"Are you always this aggressive?" She asks, narrowing her sight on him.

"Not really? I don't waste time when I see a beautiful woman, may I have this dance?"

"Now you ask?" She responds while he twirls her around the dance floor.

The band plays one of his hits, Vince turns Loren around with a fast moving cumbia. Loren smiles, she'll show everyone watching she keeps up with his sudden turns and fast moves, her feet are in sync with his every moves, she loves it, he looks at her with approval, she knows she's doing great, she holds her dress to make sure she can make the sudden moves.

Eddie tries to pretend he isn't watching, but he can't help it, his eyes are glued on Loren and Vince, the audience watches in awe, Vince and Loren rock the dance floor with fancy cumbia moves.

Katy smiles from ear to ear. "Wow, Loren looks amazing with Vince!"

"She's amazing, Vince is a champion dancer, they're killing it out there." Kevin says while he watches them in awe. He looks at Eddie; he can tell his nephew isn't pleased with Vince quick attraction with Loren.

Eddie looks at Vince, why is he dancing? Why is he with Loren, this is a charity event, not a dance contest.

The song ends, Vince and Loren take a bow. She tries to catch her breath, she's impressed by Vince's dance moves, she's relieved she was able to keep up. The audience gives them a standing ovation.

"The moment I saw you I knew you're amazing!"

"I'm flattered Vince."

"Chiquita, may I get you a drink?"

Loren blushes, the way he looks at her, he heads towards the bar. Kevin smiles. "Girl, you rocked the dance floor, didn't know you could dance."

"Thanks Kevin, I didn't know I could dance that way."

"I guess you and Vince hit it off?" She sees Eddie walking their way. "Yes we did, it was great to meet him."

Eddie interrupts the conversation. "Why is he here?"

"I asked him to come."

"You realize he's a Spanish artist?"

"My sister appreciates all type of music; we could use Spanish too."

Vince returns with a mojito drink. "For you doll."

"Thanks." Loren says.

"You're performing tonight?" Kevin snickers, he can tell Eddie isn't pleased Vince is there; Vince has a reputation with the ladies.

"I'm up next." He turns towards Loren. "Senorita Lorenita, my songs are dedicated to you."

He holds her hand and kisses it. Loren smiles. "Thank you, I could get use to this."

Katy stands at the podium. "My dear friends, I have an amazing surprise, aside from my son Eddie performing for all of you tonight, we have Vince Vega in the house, I was wondering if you'd like to hear our amazing Latin artist sing his number 1 hit. Tu me tienes." (You got me)

The audience applauds and whistles, they approve. Vince takes the stairs to the stage, he walks towards Katy and hugs her, placing a peck on her cheek. He takes the mic.

"I never thought I'd dedicate any of my songs, tonight I dedicate this song "Tu me tienes," which translates to (you got me) to Miss Loren Tate."

Loren's blushes, she waves and blows him a kiss in appreciation towards Vince, Eddie furrows his eyes brows. "What the heck is he doing?"

Kevin's enjoying every minute. "Nothing, the song is for Loren."

Eddie rolls his eyes. "I heard! He loves attention."

Vince begins to sing and slowly makes his way down the stairs. Kevin knows where this is going. Eddie sighs. "Great!"

Vince makes his way towards Loren. He kneels down beside her and continues to sing to her, she smiles, this has never happened to her.

Kevin can hear Eddie mumbling about something. "What's your problem? What's bothering you? You seemed bothered, what gives?"

He rolls his eyes, he isn't going to stay quiet, Vince is getting on his nerves.

"Here's here to perform for charity, not to show off."

"You know Vince, he loves this."

"No one else is bothered by you, Katy loves what he's doing, she's not complaining."

"Yeah, everyone loves Mr. Vega." Eddie mumbles.

Eddie takes a few steps back; too bad he's done performing or he'd show him how it's done."

"I know it bothers you that he's giving Loren all of his attention."

Eddie doesn't respond, Vince is done with the song, he performs another one of his hits.

The audience gives Vince a standing ovation; he bows and walks off stage. Katy announces the band is playing again, she invites everyone to dance and enjoy the evening.

Vince wastes no time, he heads towards Loren, she's talking to several people. She turns when she sees Vince standing on her side, she excuses herself. "That was beautiful."

"Is this the first time you've heard my music?"

She narrows her eyes. "I love Spanish music; I only listen to Eddie's music."

"You're going to have to give my songs a chance; I guarantee you're going to love them." He takes her hand and places his hand over hers.

"I know this might sound ridiculous, I have to see you again."

Loren's quiet. She doesn't know what to say, he continues. "I know we just met, I can't stop thinking about you."

"It would be nice Vince but..."

"I'll be back; I have to talk to Kelly."

He walks away and Mel appears. "Who is that?"

"Vince Vega, he's a Latin artist."

"I know that, I didn't know you could dance like that, and that serenade?"

Loren knows she has Vince's attention, she scans the room and finds Eddie talking to his mom. "Are you listening to me Loren?"

"He wants to see me again."

"He's gorgeous, love his wavy dark hair, tall and full of muscle, he's has an adorable nose."

Loren smiles. "You're too much."

"I guess Eddie is on hold?"

"I don't know, tonight happened for a reason; I'm going to see where this leads."

"I agree with you, anyway, I'm done here, I made sure the staff cleaned in the kitchen, Katy said I can mingle a bit, I'll see you around."

Mel walks away. She sees Vince coming her way along with Kelly. "I've been talking to Kelly, she helps me once in a while, I need a new wardrobe for my fall tours, she and I agree that you're the perfect designer for me."

"What do you say Loren? I think it's a great opportunity for you." Kelly adds.

Loren looks at Vince. "I'm honored; I would love too."

"Great." He takes her hand. "Let's dance and talk."

Vince doesn't mind showing off his dancing skills, this time its salsa, she's surprised to see how well she's able to keep up with him.

Eddie glances at the room full of people dancing in one area, others sips from their wine glasses, Vince and Kelly are talking to Loren, she seems content, who knows what that's about, deep down he has to admit he isn't happy. They're dancing again, more attention for Vince.

Katy's event ends after a few more hours; people thank Katy for such a successful night. Loren gives the ushers the flowers on stage, she tells them to give one to each guest exiting the hall.

She walks to the table to pick up her things, Mel stops. "I'm leaving with some friends, see you later."

"I have to make sure everything is clean and picked up."

Katy's very happy. "I'm very grateful to you Loren, everyone was very generous, apparently dancing with Vince helped."

"I don't know how I did it Katy, I never took lessons, he made the dance happen by the way he guided me on the dance floor, I was able to pick up on the moves."

"You were amazing, he's very into you, I'm sure you picked up on it?"

She was going to tell Katy she has no interest in Vince, but, Eddie didn't say one word to her tonight, will he ever be ready for anything, she isn't going to sit around and wait, Vince's an amazing guy, he seems to appreciate her.

"I know, I noticed, he's so sweet."

"You can go home; there's staff here to take care of everything."

"Are you sure? I don't mind helping."

Katy smiles, Vince stops by. "Someone wants to take you home."

"Are you ready to go?" Vince asks.

"I have my car."

"Nonsense, my limo is outside, one of my men will take your car to your place."

She wonders if he has anything more important to do, then drive her home.

"I'm sure you're busy."

He gets her things and holds her hand. "It's important to me to take you home."

"I called the hospital, Evan seems to be responding to therapy."

"I knew he would." Kevin says.

"The Dr. thinks this new treatment will get him to move and talk." He turns to see what has Kevin's attention. Loren's leaving with Vince.

He looks at Eddie and winks. "Looks like Vince will finally settle with one girl."

Eddie's aware that Kevin is talking to him. Somehow he stops listening.

"I'm talking to you."

Eddie makes eye contact with his uncle. "I saw."

Kevin runs to stop him. "It was great to see you Vince, thanks for your help tonight."

Vince can't stop smiling. "You're welcome, I'll call you, I had the most amazing night."

"When have you ever been faithful to any woman?" Eddie asks.

"There's always a first time Duran, I think she can make an honest man out of me."

"What are you saying?" Kevin has to know; he knows it'll bug his nephew.

"I don't know; she's not getting away." Loren's talking to someone, she walks back to where Vince is chatting. "I'm ready to go."

She makes eye contact with Eddie. "Good night."

"Have a great evening Loren."

She notices the tone in his words. She turns to Kevin. "Sweet dreams Kevin." Vince smiles and holds her back, they leave the building.

Eddie walks away. Kevin chuckles trailing behind his nephew.

Meanwhile, Lucy's in a taxi on her way to her place. She's been in New York, her phone buzzes. She scrolls through it. A picture of Loren catches her attention; she's leaving an event holding hands with Vince Vega.

She rolls her eyes. "I don't know how she does it, now it's the sexy Vince." She instructs the driver to take her to Loren's address.

Meanwhile Loren sits in the back of Vince's limo. "Thanks for letting me to take you home."

"I should thank you Vince, you made me feel very special tonight."

He looks at Loren trying to understand what she means, how can someone as beautiful and sensitive as you say such a thing? "You should always be treated like this a princess."

She down cast her look. "Thanks, you're very sweet."

"Tell me about you, about your life."

A small smile appears on her face. "There isn't much to say, the story of my life isn't glamorous, I might say it's been filled with lots of drama, thanks to my twin."

"Twin?"

Loren sighs. "I have a twin sister."

"I can't picture you with a twin."

"I do, it's been interesting with her."

"Are you and your sister close?"

She sighs, this time it's louder. "We use to be, she and I don't get along."

Vince narrows his eyes. "What! She's bad?"

"I hate to say it like that, but she is, she dated Eddie's cousin Evan, thanks to her, he's in the hospital."

"I heard something about it, Evan is really cool."

Loren focuses on his demeanor. "I assume you know Kevin and his family?"

He leaning back on his seat. "We go way back." He looks at Loren straight in the face. "I introduced Chloe to Eddie."

"Ouch!"

"I know, Kevin and were on double dates, she was the worst waitress I had ever encountered, she mentioned she wanted to model, she's beautiful, I had connections and got her a job in one of my videos, Eddie stopped by one day, and the rest is history."

"Life is full of surprises."

"I guess, she's a good friend, what happened after she married Eddie I'll never know, I see her once in a while, I guess that's why Eddie and I don't connect."

Loren looks out the window. "Do you have feelings for him?"

She looks at him; her look gives Vince the answer; he lets out a small laugh. "I can't say I blame you, he's a great guy, amazing performer with looks."

"None of that matters Vince, it's not about the looks, he's a great guy, I love his music."

"If you ask me, he's blind, you're an amazing lady and we just met."

Loren blushes, lately that's all she knows. "Thank you, I'm glad we met."

"You have no idea how happy I am to hear you say that."

"Really?"

"You got me girl, like my number one hit song says."

Loren smiles. "You're very sweet."

The limo comes to a stop, the driver exits his side of the limo and opens the door, Vince gets out first, he extends his hand to help Loren. She steps out of the Limo and hears a very familiar voice. "Well, well, sister dear, what are you doing with Vince Vega?"

Vince turns; obviously it's Loren's twin sister, she has a smirk on her face. He holds Loren's hand. "What do you want Lucy?"
