Believe me! Chapter 22

Is Eddie ready to trust again? When he dated Chloe, he couldn't handle other men talking to her, when he found out Chloe cheated, he tried to hurt himself. The reason Kevin is worried, he knows he's happy with Loren, he wants his nephew to feel secure in his new relationship. Kevin's deep in thought when Max walks in, he nudges him. "Hey you ok?"

"Where did you come from?" Kevin asks.

"I'm meeting with Jake and Dan, they asked Eddie to join us, where is he? He should be here."

Kevin smiles. "He's in Lala land."

"That bad huh?"

"Haven't seen him this happy since Chloe, he was too young then. I think he got it right this time."

Max nods. "I know you're worried, he's going to be fine, let's give him the benefit of the doubt."

"I remember the jealous tantrums; I don't want to see him like that anymore."

"There's a huge difference now, Loren is nothing like Chloe, thanks for caring."

Eddie walks into the room. "You're early Pops!"

"I'm fine, you're late, you better hurry, you need to keep Dan happy."

Eddie takes a quick bite of the bagel in his hand. "Not a chance, let's go, you staying Kevin?"

"No, I'm coming with you."

Max looks at him. "What for?"

"You're looking at Dan Robert's new assistant."

Eddie laughs. "What's Dan trying to do? He doesn't live here?"

"He does now, he has two more daughters that live here, he's staying in the area."

"I wonder what changes he's going to make? Loren's in charge of wardrobe, she has the last word." Eddie adds.

Kevin narrows his eyes. "Wonder what you'll be busy with? You're dating his daughter!" Kevin adds.

"He doesn't know."

"Get in the car, we have a meeting to get too."

Within minutes, they're on their way!

Meanwhile…

Mel's up. "Why are you doing up so early Lo?"

"Dan called, he wants to see me, I made waffles, they're not as good as yours."

"Before you go, sorry you found Lucy here last night."

"It's ok, she wasn't here too long."

Loren's heads towards the door when Mel steps in front of her. "Where did you go with Eddie last night?"

Loren sighs. "He shared his special place with me."

"Really? Where?"

"Can't say, it's our place."

"I'm so excited, what did he say?"

"It's personal!" Loren blushes. "We kissed! He says he loves me!"

"Are you serious? Eddie fallen in love again!"

"Pinch me Mel; I think I'm dreaming."

Mel hugs her. "It's real, I'm happy for you."

"I'm afraid it's happening too fast; I might wake up."

Mel pinches her. "Ouch! Mel!"

"See? It's all real."

"I'm leaving before you bruise my other arm."

"Love you!"

Loren smiles. "Love you too."

Loren arrives, she sees Max, Kevin and Eddie walking into the Jake's office. She smiles, she gets to see Eddie again, she walks in too.

Eddie smiles when he sees her. "Hey Babe, you're here too?"

She doesn't pay attention to her surroundings, she places a kiss on his lips. She hears steps behind her; she sees Dan and Jake walking in.

Dan looks at her and smiles. He can tell she's happy, that pleases him.

"Can you wait here Loren? I'll ask you to join us in a bit."

"Sure Dan." She takes a seat.

Dan sits at a round table a few feet away from her. He hands Kevin an iPad and several folders, he hands Jake and Eddie a flash drive.

Everyone's preoccupied looking through the material handed to them. He asks Loren to join them.

"I know I told you that you're in charge of Eddie's wardrobe, Vince is in Europe, I need you to take care of everything."

"Does this mean I have to go to them?" Loren wonders.

"Not necessarily."

He hands her a folder with a flash drive. "Here are all the details, everything you need to know is in there, Eddie will be in Paris in two weeks for the release of his latest album, Vince will be in the area, you have two weeks Loren, make sure you have everything ready."

"Thanks for the opportunity."

"We'll be in touch."

She places the items in her bag. "You don't have to leave just yet!"

She smiles. "I'll be downstairs."

Dan interrupts. "Please wait, we won't be too long."

She smiles in agreement, within minutes, Eddie and Loren leave the room holding hands, they walk towards the elevator.

"Are you excited about Paris?" He asks.

"Yes, it's on my bucket list; I've always wanted to go there."

"Your dream will come true."

"You'll be there; I can see Paris with you." She says.

He leans in to kiss her, something's bothering him, he pulls away. "Loren…"

She looks into his eyes. "What is it?"

"Vince will be there." He says.

"I know, Dan mentioned it."

"You dated the guy."

"I did, that doesn't matter, I'm with you now."

Eddie isn't too keen on the idea of Vince being in Paris too.

"He's very sweet, we had a great time, but, I wasn't in Love with him, I've always been in love with you, you have my heart Eddie."

He smiles. "I love you, the thought of Vince..."

She places her finger on his lips. "He's in the past Eddie."

"I wasted too much time, it should have been me and not Vince."

She wraps her arms around his neck and leans on his chest. "The important thing is that we're together, that's all that matters right now."

He pecks her lips. "Let's eat." They hold hands and walk to the nearest Café for Lunch.

Loren's busy the whole week; she sends her sketches to her personal seamstresses. They work with Loren to create her designs; Loren works through midnight to get everything ready before she leaves for Paris. Dan hires Mel, she's going to be Eddie and Loren's personal chef. He makes sure everything is ready for the trip, he's a perfectionist.

A few days before leaving for Paris, Loren stops at Nana's home to see her before she flies to Paris with her team. Lorena loves her granddaughter, she's happy to see her.

"You look very beautiful."

"Thank you Nana." Loren blushes.

"You're glowing; it must be true love mi nina." (My Girl)

"I'm very happy, I can't explain it." Loren admits.

"No need to explain it, I can see it."

Loren hugs her grandmother. "I will see you when I return."

"Enjoy Paris Lorenita." Nana adds.

"I will, Eddie will be there, he's releasing his latest album, he'll do a few shows for the fans."

Lorena can tell her granddaughter wasn't into that relationship with Vince. "You and Eddie are a beautiful couple, your mamita would be very happy for you."

"I miss her Nana; I'm sorry Dan didn't fight for his true love."

"Thanks to them, I have two beautiful young ladies, I proudly call my granddaughters."

Loren cringes. "Even Lucy?"

"Ay Lorenita, let's not ruin the moment." Lorena laughs.

A few days later, they board Dan's Boeing 747 Jets. It's loaded with everything they will need; he spares no expense.

Mel squeals the moment she steps inside. "Omg Loren, this is beautiful."

Dan talks to his flying crew, he sees Loren and stops by her side.

"I want you to be comfortable Loren, Dallas is our head flight attendant, let her know if you need anything."

"I will, thank you Dan."

Kevin, Katy and Kelly walk into the Jetliner, Dan sees them. "Is Eddie on his way?" He doesn't like to wait.

Kevin gets his phone. "He stopped at Jake's office, he's a few minutes away, thought you weren't coming?"

"I have a last minute thing to take care off, I'm joining all of you."

"Sure boss, no problem!" Kevin takes a seat.

Eddie arrives and boards. He sees Loren sitting with Katy and Mel. He makes his way towards her, Dan stops him.

"Not so fast."

"I had to make a quick stop at Jake's." Eddie adds.

"I know, I have several things to go over with you, can you sit with me?"

Eddie sighs, he looks towards Loren, he shrugs his shoulders. She smiles, Mel notices. "Oh my God, I love the way he looks at you."

"I know; I'm going to melt if he continues to do that."

"I'm sure you'll melt." Mel laughs. "I'm so jealous!"

Dan reviews Eddie's itinerary for Paris. "I'd appreciate if you stick to this schedule, I don't want any surprises, we should be back in LA in a few weeks."

"No problem Dan." Eddie looks at Dan. "Is there anything else?"

"We covered everything."

"I'm sure you know Loren and I are dating, I'm very serious about Loren."

"I know Eddie." Dan responds sternly.

"I'm not playing any games, I love Loren."

Dan sighs. "Thanks for letting me know."

"You okay Dan? I'm telling you because she's your daughter."

"It's all business between Loren and I, I want to be part of her life."

"Give her time Dan, she's an amazing young lady."

"Thank you for your kind words." Dan adds.

"I'm sure you met Lucy."

Dan nods. "Yes, we've met."

Eddie shakes his head. "My condolences to you!"

Dan smiles. "Tell me about it, I love them, I didn't know about them, wish I knew when they were younger, don't get me wrong, I love my wife, Sofia was special, when we met, she knew my family had money, that didn't matter to her, I felt special when I was with her, she never expected anything from me, our life together was amazing, we had fun, our dates were simple, picnic's, the beach, Sofia wanted me to be happy, she knew my life at home was stressful, my father was always talking about his businesses, I had to show Sofia's mom that I was serious about our relationship, we got married to show my father this is what I wanted and I was capable of taking care of a family, he was upset, he took me away from my life with Sofia, sadly all of my plans backfired."

"I'm sorry Dan, I know Loren will come around, I can see a lot of Sofia in Loren." Eddie assures him.

" I can see I too, she's never mentioned my millions, Lucy on the other hand wanted to see how much I had and owned."

Eddie doesn't want to show his true feelings about Lucy. "She's materialistic, greedy, selfish and thinks only of herself, I lost my cousin Evan because of her." Eddie sighs.

"My step son Vince is hurting, it broke his heart to lose Loren, looks like she chose you, I'm all for true love." Dan tells him.

Eddie smiles. "Me too, excuse me, I'd love to spend time with my girl before we land."

"Sure." He walks away, Dan can tell his daughter is truly in love, her eyes lit when she saw Eddie walking towards her. He's happy for them.

Mel sees Eddie and stands up. "I'll get out of your way."

"Thanks Mel, you're the best."

He gives Loren a quick peck. "Missed you Babe."

"I thought Dan wasn't going to let you sit with me, this trip is all business." Loren adds.

"Is everything ok?" She asks.

"Yeah, he wanted to review my itinerary."

"Will we have time for us?"

He kisses her forehead. "You bet, we will make the time." He assures his girl.

Lunch is served, many hours later, the plane lands in France. The Jet's guided to a private area of the airport. There's a 9-hour difference from LA. Loren holds his arm as they prepare to exit the plane.

Loren's eyes widen, Eddie sighs heavily when they see who's waiting at the bottom of the stairs.

It ends here today! Who's waiting? More drama? Will Eddie be able to control his jealous side?
