Back at the check in station King Yemma heard about a restless spirit who won't stop requesting a word with the spiritual counselors.
Disturbing the peace in heaven could make a spirit end up in hell but when they looked at Gohan's register they realise its the son of Goku,
The council wondered what he wanted and Gohan made a desperate plea to help him to get stronger so that he can go back to Earth for a day to save his friends.
His request was approved, they wanted to hear what he had to say, Erasa stayed back when the large door of the spiritual courtroom opened.
"Do you want to do this alone?" Erasa wondered.
Gohan eyed her, "come on" he said and reached out his hand to grab hers, together they walked towards a large room.
Erasa swallowed feeling nervous confronting the court but she has to support Gohan.
Gohan let go of het hand and stood in front of the supreme kais and angels.
There were only silhouettes and then a light lit up in the room revealing their faces.
"You've been disrupting the peace in otherworld speak now and if your request is noble then we might turn a blind eye and not send you to hell" One angel spoke.
Erasa gasped a little, she couldn't imagine being parted from gohan again.
"Please don't" Erasa whimpers, she felt so intimidated by that authoritative booming voice, if she was in Gohans position she would lose all nerves to speak.
"My name is Son Gohan, for years I've been trying to protect my world from going extinct." Gohan began.
"I lost the battle against an Android created by doctor Gero, but I'm much stronger now" Gohan said but the court said nothing, some just moved their heads that they are listening.
"All I ask of you is to let me go back for 24 hours, I can save Trunks and my father" Gohan said.
"If I have just one chance I'll never bother you again" Gohan said holding his head down submissive.
Gohan tried to be like his father, standing tall towards every challenge.. he would do anything for them for this one last chance.
"Your wish cant be granted.." A voice then spoke.
Gohan looked up disheartened. "W..why?" Every good spirit has a right to return for one day"
"Yes, but there are other spirit that have been dead longer than you, Spirits are granted a chance to return if they are dead for a year"
"But isn't there anything I can do for you? I'll do whatever you want but please.."
"I beg you, " Gohan said.
"Let me at least save him!" He's all alone out there" Gohan said.
"Trunks not strong enough to defeat Cell and my father is dying" Gohan said as tears ran down his cheeks.
They the only ones left who can wish all the victims of the androids back" Gohan said.
"You will have to wait until it's your turn to go back, you're not the only heroic spirit out there" One angel said.
"Okay, but can at least one of my deceased friends head back to Earth?" Gohan said.
"My master must have been training very hard in otherworld maybe he can help me" Gohan requested.
But that request was denied too because of the onslaught he created in the past, Vegeta wasn't allowed to return either because of the genocide in his younger years.
And Gohan became enraged seeing all his chances to save his world shrink.
"Why?" Gohan beamed. "Why won't you help us?"
"My whole life I've fought for survival and you rather sit there and do nothing while others are suffering.
"The kais and the Supreme Court haven't interacted with Earthlings for years,"
"Because Earthlings have abused the dragonballs they must prove that they can solve their own problems, without us for At least a 100 years" The spiritual councils said.
"We won't bend the rules of the universal law just to save a few lives" The court said raising his voice.
Please listen to us" Erasa begged.. if Trunks dies well never be able to go home.. it's not just one life it's the life of everyone that will be lost, women, children, innocent men are suffering."
"Don't let him and Goku die" Erasa began to weep.
"The answer is no, cease with this mindlessness unless you want your soul burn in the depths of hell." The Supreme Court raised its voice.
"But.." Erasa shivered and Gohan stepped forward pushing her behind him guarding.
"Then you better make sure it's big enough for all of you as well" Gohan spoke.
"Are you threatening us? The Supreme Court warned.
"I wonder what the high priests would say when you allow hundreds of children and innocent people being slaughtered"
"With that kind of sadistic mindset you make Galactic tyrants like Freeza a boyscout" Gohan said.
"That's enough!" Leave now!" And all of them turned their backs towards them and the lights became meeker.
Erasa became nervous holding on to his arm when the court member raised its voice.
"No, I won't be silenced" Gohan snapped back.
"I doubt you have a soul, but let's just say you do" Gohan said.
"one day you all are going to be judged"
"He's only a boy, if he dies because you denied me the chance to intervene I swear I'll never forgive you!" Gohan said becoming fed up with the universal law nonsense.
"Go ahead and punish my soul with eternal torment because I had the nerve to challenge you.. at least I can have my revenge against Gero when we meet in hell" Gohan said and got out of their sight as his body produces electricity.
The spiritual council let him leave, no further word has been spoken,

Gohan was enraged and stormed out of the palace, Erasa hurried after him.
Gohan felt his rage throb and broke every vase or small statue of the check in station with his aura and moved away from everyone as far as he could.
Erasa had to calm him down and took the risk of getting snapped at.

He stood near the river of the endless grass field where disembodied spirits having their morning stroll.
"Damn it.." Gohan said frustrated. What option is left?
He heard Erasa land close to him.
"Gohan please, don't give them another reason to deny you a chance to head back to Earth.." Erasa carefully said.
"I hate them, " Gohan said.
"Bastards! I'm all the way here and I can't do nothing to help Trunks." Gohan said.
"Hey I'm infuriated with the supreme courts decision too" Erasa said sensing the restlessness in his spirit.
"This is all my fault Erasa, I could have been with him traveling to the past.. If only I did what Father said and just wait until the time machine is ready.." Gohan said defeated.
"I'm so worried about him, I'm losing my mind" Gohan said. He tried not to lose his composure but he could remain strong, Trunks must be in danger. Being left in the dark about his wellbeing makes him feel so lost.
"Hey," Trunks might made it to the past, so far his spirit hasn't checked in.. so that means Cell hasn't got him" Erasa said.
"You mean Cell hasn't caught him yet" Gohan said grim.
"What if he's facing Cell right now to avenge me?" Gohan said.
"If Goku hasn't fallen ill then he might, Trunks knows if he dies then Goku would be left alone without anyone giving him the Heart antidote" Erasa said,
"I know Trunks wouldn't take that risk, Just have faith in him Gohan-kun" Erasa said and placed a hand on his heart.
Gohan missed that kind gesture ever since she passed away, he held onto her shoulders in response.
"Erasa I.. I'm happy we met.. It just I wished we met in times of peace." Gohan said.
"Yes.. but better in an apocalyptic world than never meeting you at all, you kept me alive long enough to make a difference," Erasa said.
"It was a privilege having you as an ally" Erasa added holding hands.
"When you have the chance to head back to Earth I'll be rooting for you" Erasa mentioned.
"Right.. thank you Erasa.. "
"I uh.. need to prepare for my trip back to Earth If I can become much stronger than I am now I'll find it" Gohan said.
"That's the spirit," Erasa said.
"Now let go of your worries, and focus on what we have been trying to do for years"
"I'll leave you alone for a bit to clear your mind and we'll think of a better plan.. " Erasa said.
"What do you mean?" Gohan said.
"The Supreme Court will not budge so neither do we.. "
"This time we'll make them listen" Erasa said serious and Gohan loves her grounded attitude.
"The hell with them.." I have no interest in dealing with a Kai ever again" Gohan said.
"But what will we do.?" Erasa mentioned.
" I think I should find a warrior who has been dead for a while" Gohan mentioned.
"if he or she is strong enough to beat Cell then maybe we can make a deal" Gohan explained.
If that warrior will face Cell for us then he or she can wish whatever the heart desires with the dragonballs" Gohan said.
"But how do we can trust this individual?" Maybe he or she will wish for something horrible?" Erasa said. "Maybe wish for slavery or corruption?"
"Well if that person trusts me enough that I tell the truth then I should trust that warrior too" Gohan mentioned.
"I won't look for any warrior, they must be a hero like my father" Gohan said.
"I only trust the ones who are like him, and so far I've never been wrong" Gohan mentioned confident.
"Im sorry" Erasa rested her hand on his heart.
"You're right Gohan-kun" this might be the only way to make a difference" Erasa said.
Gohan eyed her and rested his hand against hers.
"All right let's get moving" Gohan mentioned, he held on to her hand that was on his heart and both look a flight up in the air.
"Gohan-kun how will you know you've found the right person?" Erasa asked.
"Ill analyse the warriors ki, I can sense who might stand a chance against Cell, I promise it's going to be all right" Gohan said.
"I need you to trust me on that" Gohan said squeezing his hold.
Erasa squeezed his hand back , "I do"
