Here comes trouble Chapter 23
Eddie holds Loren's hand and they make their way down the stairs. Loren squeezes his hand lightly and whispers. "Ignore whatever she says."
"It's hard Babe, I want her to disappear." Eddie adds.
Lucy walks towards them. "Well, well, well, the lovebirds." She laughs, and focuses on Eddie.
"What are you doing here?" Loren's not amused by her presence, here comes trouble.
"Daddy dear invited me, I have a modeling gig in the area, I flew in separately."
Loren narrows her eyes. "You have a job here?"
Lucy plays with her fingernails. "Thanks to Daddy I do." She avoids Loren's assessing gaze, she has the nerve to walk closer to Eddie. "Aren't you happy to see me?"
He ignores her comment and turns towards Loren. "The limo is here."
Loren stays quiet, they get into the limo, the driver pulls away.
Everyone exits the Jet, Lucy waits, she knows how they feel about her, but, she doesn't seem to care. Lucy spots Dan. "Where am I staying?"
"My driver will take you to our Hotel; I'll call you tomorrow about the commercial I hired you for."
She takes the key card, a Limo picks her up, she waves, Katy looks at Dan. "Are you serious?"
"About what?" Dan asks, they make their way towards the larger Limo heading their way.
"I know she's your daughter, she can't be trusted, she's here to cause chaos."
"I know Katy, I want to give her a chance, a friend is here to introduce her latest perfume, I suggested Lucy."
"I hope she keeps her busy, I don't want her bothering anyone."
Dan sighs. "I'll do the best I can."
In the Limo Loren snuggles in the crook Eddie's neck. He gently hugs her and kisses her forehead.
"Why would Dan bring her here?"
"He's trying to help I guess." Loren caresses his chin. "Has anyone ever told you that you have amazing cheekbones?"
He smiles. "No, you're the first." She notices he's distracted. "Concentrate on us, let's ignore Lucy."
"She irks me Babe, the sound of her voice, everything about her!"
Loren leans closer to him. "Do we sound alike? does my voice bother you?"
He locks eyes with her. "No, she's has this wicked witch voice; you have the voice of an angel."
Loren places another kiss on his cheek. "You're the best boyfriend any girl can have."
"You're the best thing to come into my life, I love you, I can't say it enough."
"Don't ever stop saying Eddie, I love you too."
He kisses her again. the Limo comes to a stop and the driver opens the door. "Mr. Duran, you're checked in already, I'll make sure your luggage is taken to your suite."
"Thanks." He holds Loren's hand and they walk into the Hotel lobby. The manager of the hotel approaches Eddie. "Mr. Duran votre suite est prêt . Mr. Roberts a demandé pour la suite du dernier , le reste de l'invité sont arrivés ." (Translation-Mr. Duran your suite is ready. Mr. Roberts asked for the top suite, the rest of the guest have arrived) Eddie smiles. "Merci." (Thank you.)
"Si vous besoin de quelque chose s'il vous plaît appelez et laissez-moi savoir ." ( If you need anything please call and let me know.) Eddie nods. "Merci."
They walk towards the elevator. "That was sexy, you speak French?"
"Enough to get around." Eddie smiles. "I can understand it."
"I love it Eddie."
They reach the top floor. A security guard standing by the main door that leads to the suite opens the door for them. Loren's at awe with the beautiful suite.
Eddie smiles. "Wait until you see the view." He guides her to the huge balcony, they're greeted by Katy.
"Hi Katy! I can see the Eiffel Tower from here." Loren is at awe with the amazing view, Eddie looks at his mom. "How long have you been here?"
"We got here a while ago." Loren winks at her. "We took the long way here."
The door opens. "I'm here!" Mel adds, Katy welcomes everyone.
Mel walks into the huge kitchen. "I was told the kitchen is loaded with everything I will need to cook."
"You have to see this." Loren says.
Mel's at awe. "Look at this gorgeous kitchen."
"Am I cooking for more people?"
"It's just us." Katy adds.
"I'm starving, what are you cooking?" Loren asks,
"Are you serious? I just got here; I was downstairs going over the pantry list, it's fully stocked."
Eddie interrupts. "Dinner was ordered; Mel has the day off."
A few hours later, everyone sits to enjoy a delicious French cuisine prepared for Dan's guests.
Eddie and Kevin are staying on the other side of the suite. Loren's sharing a room with Mel and Kelly. Katy has her own bedroom suite; Max will eventually join them. Dan has the top suite with the perfect view of Paris. Lucy's a few floors below, Dan makes sure she isn't too close.
The following day, Loren meets with several of the ladies that will be working with her in Paris. She finishes some of her sketches and adds a few final touches to the gowns and Jackets, she's ready for Vince and the musicians traveling with him.
Eddie's accompanied by Kevin, they stop at the Latin Quarters. He'll be doing a few small performances to release his album in a day or two. Eddie enjoys that part of this trip, there are no huge crowds; he's better with the smaller crowds. Kevin notices he isn't taking time to stop for some of the fans who recognize him.
"You seemed rushed; we have a few more stops."
"I haven't seen Loren at all today."
"She's busy like you, you'll have time later this evening."
"I don't understand why she's working with Vince, I bet it was Dan's idea."
Kevin's throats tighten at the sound of Eddie's words. "Are you going there again?"
Eddie sighs, Kevin continues. "Loren is here with you, she loves you, you know that?!"
"I know Kevin; I can't help it."
"You have to stop it Eddie, she chose you over Vince, which tells you she loves you."
"I'm trying, I seriously am."
"Try harder; you're going to blow the best thing to come into your life."
Eddie down cast. "I know Kevin, I'm trying, I'm crazy about her."
"Keep trying Eddie, let's finish what you have to do so you can spend time with Loren later this evening."
Loren arrives with enough time to shower; Eddie arranges a candle light dinner at the roof top of the Hotel. Katy's sitting nearby sipping a cup of tea.
"I love your wavy hair."
"Thanks Katy, I can wear it curly or straight."
"Do you need help?"
"No, I'm fine; I want to be ready when Eddie gets here."
Katy looks at the beautiful brunette standing a few steps away fixing her hair, applying make-up. Loren's wearing a towel. Loren notices Katy.
"You ok Katy?"
"I'm happy to see you smiling."
"I've been smiling a lot lately." Loren adds.
They hear Eddie calling Loren, she smiles. "Please tell him I'll be ready in a few."
"Sure, take your time."
Katy walks away to find her son. "Are you ready? Loren will be down in a few minutes."
"I have to change my shirt, can't wait to see her."
"I'm happy for you and Loren."
"Thanks mom." He heads to his room to change his shirt. Katy trails behind him. "How was your day?"
"Busy, I have a show tomorrow night; I'm performing by the Eiffel Tower."
"I love Paris." Katy adds.
Eddie steps out, Loren smiles when she sees him, she's wearing a beautiful teal strapless dress. Her hair laid loose and her make-up is very simple, Eddie can't stop looking at his beautiful girl.
She takes his breath away. "You look amazing, Babe."
She swings around. "I designed this dress with you in mind."
"I love it, I missed you!"
"I missed you too."
He holds her by the waist and gently pulls her towards him, they kiss. Katy quietly walks away. Loren pulls away and looks into his beautiful brown eyes. "I'm ready."
He holds her hand, they walk towards the elevators, they head to the roof for dinner. The doors open, the waiter guides them to their table, it sits perfectly by the ledge with a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower. Loren smiles. "I love it; the Eiffel Tower is beautiful."
"I'd rather look at you Babe."
Loren blushes, he notices. "Do I make you blush?"
"Maybe." She says.
"Come closer beautiful." She leans in for a kiss. The waiter interrupts their kiss by clearing his throat. "Dinner is ready."
Champagne is served with dinner.
Mel sits on the balcony with a glass of wine, she hears the door open, she rolls her eyes at the sight of Lucy. "Oh boy, here comes trouble."
"Why do I get a feeling I'm not welcomed?"
Mel takes a sip. "Try and guess, they should name all hurricanes after you, you leave chaos no matter where you go."
"I'm too much for all of you to handle." She smirks, and looks around. "Where's everybody?"
"They're out; I'm trying to relax, go away."
"Where's Loren?"
"She's on a date with Eddie."
"Ugh, she has all the fun, she and I look alike, why can't Eddie…" Mel interrupts her before she can say another word. "Please don't go there, you and Eddie, there's no way."
"I'm as beautiful as Loren."
Mel laughs. "Yeah I'm sure, inner beauty counts as well, unfortunately you don't have it, so you're out."
"Shut up Mel, you've never liked me!"
"Please stop Lucy, you've been trouble since freshman year, it's your fault people run when they see you coming."
Mel gets up. "I'm ordering bottle of wine, let yourself out."
Mel walks towards the other room and picks up the phone. Lucy walks towards the door, Loren walks in. "You again, shouldn't you be working or something?" Loren walks to her room, Lucy trails behind her.
"That lady daddy hired to work with me is a pain in the butt, I left the set, she's boring!"
"Dan got you that job, how could you? That Lady is in charge; you're going to ruin everything?"
"We're rich, remember?"
"Dan is rich, you have nothing!"
"Have you seen Vince? Maybe I should call him and ask him to dinner, I can't believe you dumped him for Eddie."
"Don't start with me Lucy, go and do what you want, Eddie won't be happy if he finds you here."
Loren looks through her clothes, she finds her shawl, she heads towards the door, Lucy steps in front of her.
"Aren't you on a date?"
"I am, I came to get a shawl, it's getting cool at the roof top."
"You're on a date with Eddie here?"
"Yes, I'm going back up."
"Not if I can help it!"
Lucy pushes Loren back into the room and locks the door. Loren screams. "What's wrong with you? Let me out!"
"Not until I have some fun!"
Lucy leaves the suite, she walks down the hall and finds a man drinking a glass of wine in the lounging area. "Would you wait for me here?"
He's puzzled with her request. "Excuse me?"
"Wait here ?" She gives him a quick peck on the cheeks. "I'll make it worth your while." The man shrugs his shoulder and stays there sipping his wine.
Lucy runs to the roof top and finds the waiter standing there. "Is Eddie Duran here?"
"Yes madam."
"Here." She writes on a piece of paper. "Give him this." He looks at her confused.
The waiter takes the piece of paper and walks towards Eddie. "Mr. Duran, Miss Tate send you this note."
"Loren?"
"Yes, she was at the door."
Eddie takes the piece of paper and reads it. (I ran into Vince, going on a walk with him)
Eddie's face is flushed, he takes a deep breath, this can't be happening, he and Loren were having a romantic dinner, she's with Vince? He leaves the area.
Meanwhile, Mel returns to the room and hears yelling coming from Loren's room, she finds the door locked. "Why is it locked?"
"Lucy locked the door, open it!"
"With what?"
Katy hears the commotion and runs to see what's going on. "What's wrong, I thought I heard screaming?"
Mel turns towards her. "Lucy locked Loren in the room."
"She what?" Katy takes the key hanging on the side of the door and opens the door. "What happened?"
"I don't know, my sister pushed me into the room and locked me in."
"Weren't you with Eddie?"
"Yes. It got cool, I came down for a shawl."
"What is Lucy's problem? Why would she lock you in the room?"
Kevin walks in questioning what the fuzz is all about. Loren leaves the room to get back to Eddie, Kevin trails behind her, he wonders what's going on.
"Why was Lucy in the room with you?"
"I don't know, when I came in she was already here."
They make their way to the hall that leads to the roof, they see Eddie exit the elevator. Whatever caught Eddie's eye changed his demeanor. He doesn't notice Loren and Kevin running to where he's headed, the thought of Loren with Vince is consuming him; he stops when he sees who he thinks is Loren from behind kissing Vince, he grabs her arm and pulls her away from Vince, she falls to the floor. "What the hell Loren?" The man kissing Lucy complains. "Hey she's with me!'
The scene unfolds in front of Kevin and Loren. Eddie's upset. Loren cries out to him. "No…"
