I'm sorry Chapter 24

"Eddie! Stop! I'm right here!"

He loosens his grip from Lucy's arm, he sees Loren standing behind him, there's pain and fear in her eyes, he can tell she's scared, it looked like he was going to hit Lucy, Eddie makes eye contact with Kevin; he knows what the look means. Eddie's speechless, he sighs and walks away.

Mel and Katy run to Loren. Lucy seems amused with the mess she caused. She lets out an obnoxious laugh. Loren can't take it anymore, enough is enough, she slaps Lucy, the sound echoes in the hallway. What she did is unforgivable, she made Eddie believe she was kissing Vince, Lucy holds her cheek and she looks at Loren. "You hit me!"

"Why would you want to hurt Eddie and I? Why Lucy? I don't want to see you anymore, stay away from me, I don't want to see you again."

Dan exits the elevator and heads their way, he approaches Loren, she's arguing with Lucy, Katy looks at Dan. "I told you she's trouble!"

"What happened?" Dan wants to know why Loren's upset with Lucy who's still holding her cheek.

Dan looks at Kevin; he tells him what happened; he realizes what everyone meant when they told him Lucy is trouble. He puts his hand on her shoulder. "Loren."

She acknowledges him, tears are flowing. "I'll take care of this." He looks at Lucy. "Go and pack your things, you're leaving right now."

"I have a shoot tomorrow."

"No, you had a shoot; Lillian told me you walked off the set, I went all out for you, you don't appreciate anything, and now you cause this chaos! You're not welcomed here anymore."

"What do you mean? You're my father!"

"I'm your father when it's convenient to you." He turns towards Kevin. "Go with her, make sure she packs her things, I'm calling my pilot, she's flying home today."

"You can't do this!"

"I can and I will." Kevin walks ahead and signals Lucy to follow him, she trails behind him, she realizes her joke wasn't funny. Dan turns to Loren who's sobbing. "Is there anything I can do?" Loren feels a knot in her tummy, what else can she say. "I don't know Dan, I give up."

Dan motions Katy to help Loren, she hasn't moved from that spot since she slapped Lucy.

"Let's go Loren; I'll make you some tea."

"Where's Eddie?"

"He's walking off some steam, he'll be ok."

"How could he think that was me? I would never hurt him that way."

"I know, Lucy made him believe it was you, he knows what happened, he's trying to calm down."

"He scared me, he was very upset, I know he's hurting, this is Lucy's fault!"

"He realized it wasn't you, the thought of Lucy pulling another one of her stunts was too much to handle."

They reach the suite and walk in. Mel's making some tea. "Here Lo, drink this, you need to calm down."

"She ruined my romantic evening; I should've stayed with Eddie."

"You can't blame yourself, I'm sorry to say this, your sister is a monster, she has no heart, nothing, I hope she learns her lesson, Dan isn't going to put up with her anymore."

"Mel, did Eddie come in here?"

"Yes, he went up to his room and slammed the door."

Loren places the cup of tea on the table. "I need to see him?"

"No sweetie, let him get this mess out of his system, I'm sure he'll talk to you tomorrow."

Meanwhile, Kevin calls for the Limo to take Lucy to the airport. "I don't understand why I have to leave?"

"You're kidding right?"

"What? I played a joke on my sister."

Kevin shakes his head. "I can't believe you and Loren are related."

"I can't go home; I have a job to do here!"

"Didn't you hear Dan? He said you had to leave now, you blew your chance!"

"I'll talk to my daddy when he gets home."

Kevin shakes his head. "Whatever."

The limo stops in front of Dan's personal jet. Kevin opens the door and signals the driver to get Lucy's things. He walks her inside the Jet, he gives the pilot a note. The flight attendant closes the door. Kevin reminds the pilot. "Make sure she gets home; Dan will call his limo when you land. "Yes sir."

Kevin takes the limo back to the Hotel, he finds Katy's making tea. "How's Loren sis?"

"She taking a much needed warm bath, Mel's with her."

"Where's Eddie?"

"Haven't seen him, he's in his room, I was going to take him this cup of tea, I'd figure you'll do it?"

Kevin sighs. "Let me check on my nephew!"

Kevin heads to Eddie's room. He finds him sitting on the balcony with a drink in his hand. "You ok?"

"Trying."

"Listen, Dan send Lucy home, she's nowhere near us."

"And Loren?"

"She's with Mel in their room."

Eddie sighs heavily. "I went crazy Kevin; I actually thought that was Loren with Vince."

"I saw your reaction; you realize that wasn't Vince?"

"Right after I grabbed Lucy."

"You know Loren wouldn't do anything to hurt you?"

"I know, we were having a great time, Lucy spoiled everything."

"She's gone; you have to talk to Loren."

"And tell her what?"

"The truth, tell her what you've been through."

"She knows Kevin; the day I took her to my special place I told her I have issues with trust."

"She'll understand about tonight."

"I scared her, did you see her eyes? I was ready to send Lucy through a window, if you guys hadn't come, I don't know what I would have done, it's like the old Eddie returned, I don't want that anymore, I can't go there anymore."

Kevin looks at Eddie. "Listen, you need to talk to Loren."

"I will, tomorrow, I'm in no mood to face her right now, not like this."

"Make sure you do it tomorrow; you have a long day ahead of you, don't let Lucy win."

"I'm not in the mood for anything, I have no choice, I have a meet n greet with the fans, then perform in a few hours."

"Loren will be in the area, the costumes for the dancers are ready."

"I will Kevin."

"Get some rest, I'm hitting the showers, I have a long day with Dan tomorrow."

"Are you sure Loren is ok?"

"Yes, I'm sure she's resting."

"I love her Kevin."

Kevin smiles, he knows Eddie's feelings are genuine. "I know; she loves you too."

"I need to make sure she knows."

"Then tell her again."

The following day proved to be busy for Eddie. Instead of one meet and greet with the fans, he had to schedule a second one that took longer than expected. He smiled for his fans and took many pictures, and signed autographs. He'd casually glance at his phone; he didn't have time to text Loren. He knows she's busy getting his dancers ready for tonight's show.

Kelly's helping Loren, she's making sure each outfit fits properly.

"I love the colors combinations you used."

"I wanted the colors to shine when the lights hit them."

"Good idea." Kelly adds.

She notices she's a little quieter than usual. "You ok?"

"I'm sure you heard about last night?"

"Yes, I'm glad Dan send Lucy back home."

Loren sighs. "I don't want to see her anymore; I don't know what's wrong with her."

"I know it hurts Loren; don't let her ruin what you have with Eddie."

She downcast her eyes. "I haven't heard from him all day, Katy told me he's busy with fans and."

"I'm sure he'll see you after the show." Kelly assures her.

"I wonder if he was this upset when he found out Chloe cheated?"

"Not at first, then it hit him when he confronted her."

"Did he love her?"

Kelly sighs. "I'm sure he did, at least he thought he did, he was young Loren, we're against him marrying Chloe, unfortunately he learned the hard way."

One of the dancers walks in. "This button won't stay in place."

"Let me see it, take it off, I'll check."

Kelly looks at her phone. "Eddie's in the main hall rehearsing with the girls, he's finally done meeting with the fans."

She looks at Loren. "We have an hour before the show starts."

Talia gets an old shirt and puts it on. "I'll wear this in the meantime Loren; I'll come back before we head to the stage."

"I'll be done by then."

Kelly gets her bag. "I'm going to make sure everything is in place, Eddie's a perfectionist when it comes to his shows."

"That's fine Kelly." Loren says.

Loren opens her sewing box and makes the necessary repairs to the top Talia gave her. Three guys walk in into the room.

"Are you Loren?"

She smiles. "Yes."

"Dan asked us to see you about some jackets you made."

"Follow me into this room, I have them ready for you."

"Great, we have a show to get ready for."

They enter the room and Loren heads towards the closet. "I have 3 ready."

One of them takes it from Loren's hand. "This is really great, Vince's right, he said you're talented and the best designer."

"Thanks guys."

"He talks about you non-stop, can't say we blame him."

Loren's blushes. "You're very sweet."

"We're performing tonight; we're opening for Eddie Duran."

"That's great."

They leave the room; Loren walks towards the stage to give Talia her top. She turns around to walk away when arms wrap around her waist. She knows who it is.

"Eddie."

"Hey beautiful, I was rushing to get here before the show starts."

She turns around and wraps her arms around his neck, she kisses him on the lips. "You made it."

"I had to see you."

"I missed you, are you feeling better?"

He hesitates. "I'm sorry about last night."

"It wasn't your fault, Lucy caused the mess."

"I never meant to scare you, the thought of losing you."

"Why would you think you'd lose me? Haven't I proven how much I love you, how much you mean to me?"

"I know, I'm sorry."

"She's gone; we don't have to worry about her anymore."

Kelly peeks through one of the doors. "The show is starting Eddie, let's get you ready."

"I'm coming." He turns towards Loren. "Can we meet after the show?"

She smiles. "Of course, I'll be here."

The three guys Loren met are on stage. After a few songs from this new group, Eddie takes over for the next 90 minutes. Loren watches him back stage, he's an amazing performer.

Loren's watching, she hears noises coming from behind, she smiles when she sees Vince. "Hey Vince! Are you performing tonight?"

"Not tonight, I will tomorrow, how are you?"

"I'm great and you?"

"I'm managing, have to keep busy."

"Busy is good, I've been busy myself."

Vince walks a little closer. "I still love you Loren."

She feels bad. "I'm sorry Vince, you're very sweet and deserve to be happy, I'm in love with Eddie."

"I know; I'm trying hard to move on, I know I will."

"I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you."

He walks a little too close to Loren, she takes a few steps back. "I think you better leave Vince."

Eddie's performance is done for the night, he leaves the stage waving to the screaming fans, they want more songs, his backup singers and dancers wave to the fans and they all walk off the stage, Eddie heads to the area where Loren is waiting. He hears voices coming from one of the rooms. "Can I hug you good-bye Loren?"

She sighs. "Sure." She hugs him; Vince wraps his arms around her waist and whispers in her ear once more how he feels. She pulls away, Eddie walks in at that moment. "Loren?"

Vince moves away from Loren; he can tell Eddie isn't pleased. "I was saying good-bye, see you around Duran."

He leaves the room; Eddie looks at Loren. "What was that about?"

"He already told you, he came to say good-bye."

"I'm not stupid Loren, I know what he was doing!"

Loren furrows her eyes at the tone of his voice. "Do I need to remind you it's you I love? I told him that."

He gets closer to Loren; he grabs her arm. "I saw him whispering in your ear!"

"You're hurting me Eddie!"

"I made it clear last night!"

"Let go of me, I don't appreciate how you're talking to me, just because Chloe cheated on you, doesn't mean I will too!" Loren's voice is harsh. "Let go of my arm, I'm not going to put up with you doubting everything I do when it comes to other men, if you can't trust me now, you never will Eddie."

She exits the room. Eddie sighs, she runs out of the stage area.

Ok guys…now what? Has Eddie lost Loren?
