We tore through the night along dark country roads. Wind slammed against the Camaro. Rain lashed the wind-shield. I didn't know how my mom could see anything, but she kept her foot on the gas.
Every time there was a flash of lightning, I looked at Grover sitting next to me in the backseat and I won-dered if I'd gone insane, or if he was wearing some kind of shag-carpet pants. But, no, the smell .
was one I remem-bered from kindergarten field trips to the petting zoo- lanolin, like from wool. The smell of a wet barnyard animal.
All I could think to say was, "So, you and my mom... know each other?"
''i don't think so Perce i mean this is the very first time your mom is even seeing Grover so what are you cause you have donky legs. are you some kind of half human half donky '' i asked as well as told that to Percy who was unsure of how to react though him and Grove looked at me with a wierd long face after saying that about Grover but it was true seeing how my best friend was half human from the waste up and half donky from the waist down making things kind of wierd .
Grover let out an offended sound while deciding to look at me and Percy
''excuse me bu goat '' he told us making us blink and stare at him not geting it .
''what ?'' we bought said still loking at him but he stared at the mirror not wanting to talk about this .
Grover's eyes flitted to the rearview mirror, though there were no cars behind us when he started to talk after rembering what Percy told him about how he asked if he knew about Mrs Jakson .
"Not exactly," he said. "I mean, we've never met in person. But she knew I was watching you."
at first Percy was a bit lost but he rembered what he asked in the begining and now had a curios look in his eyes as i have as well since this was interesting to hear the least .
"Watching me?" . i asked Grover while Naruto was hearing being silent
''"Keeping tabs on you. Making sure you were okay. But I wasn't faking being your friend," he added hastily. "I am your friend." Grover told us and we did not said anything for the moment .
''so Grover what exactly are you i mean since Mr Brunner is Chiron himself this means he is a horse isn't he ? or half at least so what really are you ?'' i asked him wanting to know ,Percy was just as curious .
well this dosen't matter right now but since you already asked and saw me fine i will tell you ., i m a satyr ''
hearing this me and Percy where amazed to me now things started to make a bit of sense but Percy was shocked hearing the news .
''so you are a satyr and this means you are this keeper that is living at the camp we learn about ? so what are you exactly since you smell like nature are you some kind of nature spirit or something ?''
Grover gave me and Percy a look but he was a bit taken aback after hearing my words even if he did not talked i knew i was right ,the reason for this was because even now as when i first meet Grover i had the strange feeling that while i was around him i was reminded of being back home since his smell was that of the wilde and nature that the hidden leaf had so i kind of felt at home for a bit while being around Grover and now i knew why .
"Whoa. Wait. Satyrs. You mean like ... Mr. Brunner's myths?" Percy suddenly said interupting the silent moment i gave my second best friend a look since he still belived that what he saw was a myth when the trough was diferent .
"Were those old ladies at the fruit stand a myth, Percy? Was Mrs. Dodds a myth?" Grover told Percy his tone showing he did not really liked the fact that Percy used the word myth .
''"So you admit there was a Mrs. Dodds!/Alecto'' we responded Percy having a look that said he was not crazy while i was simply grining since i knew that she was real all along .
"Of course." Grover told us i said nothing since i already knew that what we saw was true and there was a valuade reason for the students and teachers to belive other wise and try to make the two of us belive the same thing .
''then why ?''Percy asked not understanding why the whole secrecy reason .
''Percy don't you think that this is a bit to much for normal person's i mean how do you think a normal kid or grown up would react if they where to learn that the myths they are reading and talking about were in fact real ,think about it how would a normal person react at the fact that the gods of ancient greek or other gods for that matter are real to begin with that monsters are real that all we read about while we were in school is real huh ? they would either laugh at this Perce or be so frightened that they will probably wage war agaisnt the mythological world heck we might even end up as experiments to be use by the army if the goverments were to find out about all this .
saying this with a straight face was not so very good since Percy winced and grimance not liking the words that i said even Grover was very surprised by my words but the sad grim trough was that he did not rebute my words which meant that what i said as crazy as it was might be true i did not even wanted to think what humans might try or did try to do to person's like us i shrudder at that not wanting to think about it .
''Naruto is right Percy "The less you knew, the fewer monsters you'd attract," Grover said, like that should be perfectly obvious. "We put Mist over the humans' eyes. We hoped you'd think the Kindly One was a hallucination. But it was no good. You started to realize who you are."
at the words bought me and Percy looked at Grover with me having a very good idea of what he was talking about while Percy was very confused but i think in his gut he knew the trough as well but did not wish to think of it i did not knew why but i did not wanted to question it either since it was not my place to. tell to begin with .
"Who I-wait a minute, what do you mean?" i asked wanderying about that a small part of me deep within my gut told me that i already knew what Grover was talking about but i refused to think about it since i was just wanting to be a normal kid and not a demi god .
''i think we bought know what Grover meant by this Perce since we are bought demi gods very important demi gods you being the son of Posaidon and me the son of my mother Amaterasu ''
i knew this was not how things where supose to go since maybe there was a reason for all this but i was not one for rules .Grover and even Mrs Jakson who was driving listening to us agreed though our satyr friend gave us a uttered shoked pale face when he heard about Percy being the son of Posaidon while me he simply had a very nervous face since he smiled at me kind of stranded .
''wha N Naruto y you a are t the son of Amaterasu sorry about the way i sound but this is very bad i did not expected that i knew you where special since i saw your outfit but to hear you are her son this wont stand good with the gods there are already troubel with Percy being the son of Poseidon who is one of the big three since he is the oldest among his brothers and sisters but to hear about this as well .
me and Percy hearing Mrs Jakson talk with a grave worried tone confused as well as worried us since from the way she was talking this sounded as if something very bad had been done just because me and Percy where alive we glanced at each other trying to understand what was going on but we had nothing to go on so we simply wandered about this whole thing .
The weird bellowing noise rose up again somewhere behind us, closer than before. Whatever was chasing us was still on our trail."
"Percy," my mom/Mrs Jakson said . there's too much to explain and not enough time. We have to get you to safety ''
we bought wander about that since it was obvious that some one or something was after us .
"Safety from what? Who's after us ''we asked wanderying about that .
"Oh, nobody much," Grover said, obviously still miffed about the donkey comment. "Just the Lord of the Dead and a few of his blood-thirstiest minions."
Grover told us with a sarcastic tone we bought looked at him as if he had lost it .
''what ? he is doing what ? after what i told Mrs Alecto that we are not the theves and that there is some one else behind this the lord of the dead is either thick head or he is in a very foul mood and wants to use that or some one else is behind this thing all toghether and probably wants to blame the lord of the dead but who could ...hang on ,Grovere you said that what is after us are a few blood thirsty minions that are under the lord of the dead ,right ? but what if he is not behind this what if some one else is some one who can control monsters from the same place it could be any of the other gods who live there i think or some one higher or maybe it is him who is after us the Titan king i mean ,oh boy if it is him this is not good defenitly not good i bet the creep wants to either kill us or test us sick bastard he probably wants to see what we are capable of to try and either have us by his side or probably keep us for an open option if this is true then this means the gramps is serious about wanting to rise again and i think we are the appetiser for his grand re entrance .
i said this at first i was ticked off that the lord of the dead thought that we were the culprits maybe he kind of wanted to acuse us even now but after what i told Mrs Alecto about us not being behind the theft i thought that maybe we would be left alone but it was not true then i thought about that old guy since he had a damn reason of why he would like to do this even if the lord of the dead had a reason also since it was perfect for the bought of them to have a motive to come after Percy and me . though i doubted the man was really that pety which to me this concluded with a singel logical reason that Kronos was after us and he wanted us either gone or to see how we will fair agaisnt his minions to either see if we would be good recruits to his sick ideea of return or to probably think of our skills to use for later ,either way things really sucked for Percy and me if that gramps was after us since he was not friendly at all since he was a pshyco .

Mrs Jakson told us not helping the situation since she made it even worst and it was about to become even more grimily bad since i had littel reason to belive that the crazy Titan had no reason to not go after Percy and me .
''i trust you Mrs Jakson but i told Mrs Alecto the trough and this is happening either she did not told her boss or he did not wished to listen or this is an elaborate plan to get to us made by him to get what he wants back and the crazy Titan king is using this as well or the guy could be behind this whole thing making us belive that the lord of the dead is the one who sent his friends after us or it could be that the lord of the dead sent one of his friends and the rest are the crazy gramps king's friends who are out to get us .
this was not looking good for us in the least since there where a lot of diferent scenarios but in them bought the lord of the dead and the crazy gramps where in it but i did not knew how much .
Grover began to trembel blarin and was about to pass out while Percy was gluping and was starting to shake his face turning to a shade of white since he did not liked that , i did not blamed my friends for being scared since this was terrefying even i was shaking but i had to stay strong for them and Mrs Jakson cause panicking was not going to do us any favore with what was going on .
''blaa i so did not wanted to go like this anything but this i mean i m still a very young satyr i don't want to go like this being hunted by bought the lord of the dead and the Titan king .
Grover started to bable showing he was scared out of his mind this would had been funny but it was not and we did not had any help from his freaking out on us like this .
''Grover '' we told his trying to not let his rambeling get to us since the situation was tense as hell .
''goat boy you are not helping i get it you are scared and about to crap your self so are we well not the craping part but we are just as scared so chill before i chill you out for a while ''
Percy gave me a look after hearing me out he was a bit stunned at how i talked to Grover and he was surprised by that ,Grover was simply embarest as well as shocked thogh he did trembelle a bit when i pointed my fist at him showing that i was serious about nocking him out with a good punch .
''Naruto !''Mrs Jakson said after hearing me out i was silent but held my ground since i was not about to say sorry when things where not looking good for us .
''woah G man Naruto is kind of scary you know ''Percy said showing he was impresed and also had a smirk on his face i simply smirked as well as rolled my eyes a bit hearing what Percy said to Grover who was shaking and did not respond making me roll my eyes seeing him like that again since he was acting like a wimp ,when he was not alone .
''s shut up Percy Mrs. Jackson. Could you drive faster, please?" we heard Grover say not wanting to talk we bought snikered at him since he was embarest by the two of us .
''sure Grover say that to Percy's mom cause this is so helpfule you chiken wouldn't you say so Percy ''i said while glancing at him with a sniker seeing Percy have one of it's own and it was so good seeing this that i could not resist to not take advantage of it beside it made things a bit funny and took our minds of the grim reality that we had to face wheather we wanted or not .
''yeah that's Right Naruto you are absolutly right about Grover being a chiken '' i replied back grining all the same since it was very funny and it was helping me not to think about what just Naruto said since it scared me to death thinking that the Titan king might be after us as well as the lord of the dead .
''haha very funny guys ,very funny make fun of the satyr why don't you just because i m scared how funny lets all poke fun at Grover ah Grover is scared lets make fun of him ,ah Grover can't fight back lets make fun of him ah Grover is not so good at keeping things to himself lets make fun of him ,haha i m laughing guys really i am .
we had blank stares on our faces when we heard Grover trying to be sarcastic he was not only good he was very good since he made us feel stupid and bad for the joke we did on him but the guy had issues since me and Percy did not poke fun about thouse things but rather that he was scared .
''dude chill we only made a joke that's all ,yeah G man you really need to lighten up or other wise you will come as some one grumpy ''
Grover gave us a glance showing he was not impressed by our words glancing at each other we shrugged since it was true we chose to not poke fun at him since this was not the time or place .
we tried to wrap our mind's around what was happening, but we couldn't do it. we knew this wasn't a dream. we had no imagination. we could never dream up something this weird.
My mom /Mrs Jakson made a hard left. We swerved onto a narrower road, racing past darkened farmhouses and wooded hills and PICK YOUR OWN STRAWBERRIES signs on white picket fences.
"Where are we going?" we bought asked
"The summer camp I told you about." My mother's /Mrs Jakson voice was tight; she was trying for our sake not to be scared. "The place your father wanted to send you."
''you mean the special place for demi god kids like us that camp i guess it could be called camp half blood isn't it ? i asked while hoping to get an answere from bought Grover and Mrs Jakson .
''wait your are talking about the place you didn't want to sent me '' i asked my mom wanting to know but it was kind of obvious since we where already heading there .
"Please, dear," my mother begged./Mrs Jakson begged i felt a bit bad for her since she was trying to keep strong for Percy and maybe even me but things where hard already .
"This is hard enough. Try to understand. You're in danger." i snorted at that since this was obvious already from the day we saw Mrs Alecto and now we had a grumpy guy as well as a crazy phsyco after us wanting to do who knows what just because we were not normal kids but related to godly beings .this situation was not good for me as for Percy he looked annoyed like me and also angry as well as lost and confused .
''duh that is kind of obvious don't you think so i mean having a fury coming after us then we saw the sister fates and now this if this is not categorised as danger then i don't know what it could be ''
the looks i recived where not what i expected since they where dead panned blank stares i looked at the three of them not really caring that i said all that since it was true .

''yeah but maybe you should had not refer to the you part but you should had said it more like you get it Grover since now Percy is freaking out ,like i said to me i think they are quite nice beside we are not in danger this could be a sign that my mom talked about when she refered at things changing ,i know this is wierd but if they did not cut the yarn with our threads then we are still alive though this could change if either the lord of the dead or the crazy gramps have a say in the matter .
bought Grover and Percy who was freaking out as i thought sighed a bit in relif even if they where not so sure about my words since this was bad they did snikered at me a bit but i chose to not mind their snikers since this was not the time for such teasing .and i was right since the situation returned again to the same grim air as it was a few moments ago .
"Whoa. You said 'you.'" Percy who was now back to normal exclaimed while thinking about what Grover said ,i face palmed groaning since this was what Percy said right after there was silence
No I didn't. I said 'someone.'" Grover told Percy and i noded agreeing though Percy was not so sure since he thought that Grover meant him even if i told them bought that we were not the targets for the three fate sisters .
"You meant 'you.' As in me." Percy said further making me look at him wandering if he was stupid or he just wanted to dig his own hole since he did not get he was not the damn target for any one especially thouse three even if they did appared in front of us .

Not you, you." i rolled my eyes at Grover when he tried to explain things since he made things so much better i just wanted the argument done since it was annoyong and stupid as well as pointelles since we where not the targets and the fate sisters did not wanted to kill us .but it was obvious that they wanted to probably most likely warn us and now seeing who or what was after us i began to wander if some how this was what they wanted us to be wary that the crazy old gramps was trying to come back and that the world was in danger again so we had to stop this before it was to late .
"Boys!"Mrs Jakson yelled wanting the discution to be over i was never that greatfule for thouse words till now in my entier life the two meaning Percy and Grover did shuted up which made things a bit nicer and better for we had to think of something or we were about to end up in big troubel .
Mrs Jakson pulled the wheel hard to the right, and we got a glimpse of a figure she'd swerved to avoid-a dark flutter-ing shape now lost behind us in the storm.
''what was that ?'' I asked not liking what we saw Grover was surprised by this while Naruto was silent for a few moments and i did not liked that since there was something about that silance that rubbed me in a very bad way .
''uh i don't know what that was but uh i hope it's not what i think it might be cause if it is we are screwed but i could have swer i saw exactly what i m afraid of since that thing was big and ugh well i hope he is not furry cause if he is then we are done for .
bought Grover and Percy where looking at me not geting what i said since i was kind of vauge it was hard for me to belive it too but he was a legendary monster and Mr Chiron told us about it in one of his first stories .

Percy now was again starting to freak out while Grover was not looking so good i did not needed to know why since it was kind of obvious and i did not wanted to presure him more than he would have liked but still this was impresive to survive that guy with his reputation was nothing short than brave and amazing .
''uhm can we not talk about this cause i really don't want to think about it since i was mostely lucky to survive from that monster i mean i was lucky because he is slow and not very good with smell ''
Percy was confused by this not geting what Grover was talking about ,me i smirked since Grover had a point even if i never saw that monster and hoped to never meet him since he was a cow well more like a bull it was obvious how Grover manage to evade him till now the storm also bringing a very good cover up .
''what are yoou guys talking about what's going on stop talking as if you know things and tell me already '' I asked Naruto and Grover feeling annoyed that they where talking as if they knew what was going on while i was out of the loop .

we didn't know where there was, but we found ourselves lean-ing forward in the car, anticipating, wanting us to arrive.
Outside, nothing but rain and darkness-the kind of empty countryside you get way out on the tip of Long Island. Then I thought about Mr. Brunner ... and the sword he had thrown me. Before I could ask Grover about that, the hair rose on the back of my neck. There was a blinding flash, a jaw-rattling boom!, and our car exploded.
I remember feeling weightless, like I was being crushed, fried, and hosed down all at the same time.
bought Naruto and Grover where probably feeling the same as i did but Naruto was clearly annoyed since he was mumbeling out loud.

i sweat dropped while hearing Naruto curse out loud talking about wanting to harm some one even if it was wierd and i did not knew who he was refering too i had an ideea since even if i did not get much from Mr Brunner's myths i knew that Zeus at least was the king of the gods and that he was manipulating lightning ,this made me groan since that god was apparently out to get us i was so relived that i could even aplaude him of course i was very sarcastic about it since Naruto had a bit of a point the guy was crazy .
''uh Naruto you are kind of wierd and scary but this is not the time ''i told him but he did not listen to me since he had a crossed face and was still grumbeling about wanting to cause bodely harm to the so called king of the gods it was wierd how vengefule Naruto was acting . it made me laugh inside since this was entertaiming to watch a part of me actually wanted this to happen since i kind of wanted to get back at that guy as well i did not hate him but this was stupid and because of him we where in this situation .
I peeled my forehead off the back of the driver's seat and said, "Ow."
"Percy!,Naruto !'' my mom shouted.
''we are ok mom ,yeah but a certain damn annoying zap bastard wont be when i will get my hands on him maybe i should ask the lord of the dead for some assistance or even your dad how about it Perce you think they will help me out to get back at the annoying zappy pervy king for what he did to us a good bashing will do him good since he will look good being busted up a bit .
i gave Naruto a long wierd stare since he was now starting to get kind of creepy with his small vendeta since apparently he wanted to inclued the lord of the dead and even my dad as wierd as this was in this plan of his to have the king of the gods beaten up .
I tried to shake off the daze. we were't dead. The car hadn't really exploded. We'd swerved into a ditch. Our driver's-side doors were wedged in the mud. The roof had cracked open like an eggshell and rain was pouring in.
Lightning. That was the only explanation. We'd been blasted right off the road. Next to me and Naruto in the backseat was a big motionless lump. "Grover!"
He was slumped over, blood trickling from the side of his mouth. I shook his furry hip, thinking, No! Even if you are half barnyard animal, you're my best friend and me as well as Naruto don't want you to die!
''that's right i mean who will i hang out then if you are dead Grover you are our pall even if furry ''i replyed now wanting to forget about a certain annoyance that was above in the skys and was probably feeling good about himself thinking about this ticked me off so much i wanted to get out from the car march to where ever the heck that bufoon ever was and beat him sensless till he was nothing but a smearning face of black and blue .
a goran was heard from Grover and that interupted my plans for geting back at the usless sparky king of usless .''food ''me and Percy chukelled knowing there was still hope for our furry friend .
"Percy,Naruto ''My mom/Mrs Jakson said, "we have to ..." Her voice faltered.
we looked back. In a flash of lightning, through the mud-spattered rear windshield, we saw a figure lumbering toward us on the shoulder of the road. The sight of it made my skin crawl. It was a dark silhouette of a huge guy, like a football player. He seemed to be holding a blanket over his head. His top half was bulky and fuzzy. His upraised hands made it look like he had horns.
I swallowed hard. "Who is-"
''great and the freaking cow is here man is he big just what the heck is he eating cause not even all the Ramen in the world can make him look this buff maybe he eats a lot of ramen or who knows he might be a canibal eating his own siblings i wander dose he cook them or eat them raw .
i was rambeling and it was not helping even if it was very funny but looking at that guy i simply was curious since he was well gigantic and very buff as if he was on extended training or something
''Naruto this is so not the time ''bought Mrs Jakson and Percy told me with half dead panned stares making me laugh a bit akwardly seeing them react and respond like that i could not blame them since they where wierded out and a bit green while i spoke about the bull guy probably being a canibal who could eat his siblings either cooked or raw .
''sorry but you could consider the posibility for that bull to do that ''i said being honest ,Percy gave me a flat stare not beliving i was actually saying this while Mrs Jakson was not wanting to hear about this .

My mother /Mrs Jakson threw herself against the driver's-side door. It was jammed shut in the mud. we tried ours . Stuck too. I looked up desperately at the hole in the roof. It might've been an exit, but the edges were sizzling and smoking.
"Climb out the passenger's side!" My mom /Mrs Jakson told us "Percy-Naruto you have to run .Do you see that big tree?"
we bought saw it but we did not knew what was the deal with it beside we did not want to leave Mrs Jakson or Grover behind since they where in danger if they were to stay .
''what ? ''we bought said not wanting to leave them behind .
Another flash of lightning, and through the smoking hole in the roof we saw the tree she meant: a huge, White House Christmas tree-sized pine at the crest of the nearest hill.
"That's the property line," my mom said. "Get over that hill and you'll see a big farmhouse down in the valley. Run and don't look back. Yell for help. Don't stop until you reach the door."
hearing this me and Percy did not liked that one bit since it was not fair for Percy's mom to stay behind like this being at the mercy of that thing or who knows what else i grithed my theeth in annoiance since i was not liking this i started to get mad about this whole thing since it was just not right .
"Mom, you're coming too." Percy told her and i agreed since it was not fair we bought saw her expresion .Her face was pale, her eyes as sad as when she looked at the ocean.
"No!" we shouted ''you are coming with us help us carry Grover''
"Food!" Grover moaned, a little louder. a chukel was let out by the bought of us hearing Grover moan about that while being nocked out .
The man with the blanket on his head kept coming toward us, making his grunting, snorting noises. As he got closer, I realized he couldn't be holding a blanket over his head, because his hands-huge meaty hands-were swing-ing at his sides. There was no blanket. Meaning the bulky, fuzzy mass that was too big to be his head ... was his head. And the points that looked like horns ...
''great meat head is here and wants lunch and i can bet you guys my ramen bawls he dose not want human lunch but demi blood lunch '' it was a morbid sarcastic way of puting things when it came to the Minotaur but it was true since the cow wanted us for break feast .
Percy was shocked and shaking with a pale face ,Mrs Jakson gave me a blank stare not wanting to hear me talking like that and i did not blame her here we where with the bull head and i was talking like this ,yeah i too would be not happy or even annoyed by this if some one else were to say what i did .
"He doesn't want us," my mother /Mrs Jakson told us making me groan since it was obvios while Percy was not liking this . "He wants you. Besides, I can't cross the property line."
hearing this was even more great news since we were about to be made lunch by the muscel beef and now we were hearing about something like this it was so great .it made me think that these so called greek gods where nothing but a pain in the ass and i was being proven quite right .
"But..." i said not liking this ,even Naruto felt the same as me .
We don't have time, Percy. Go. Please." hearing mom /Mrs Jakson telling us this made us mad since this was so unfair and also unneded .
we got mad, then-mad at my mother, at Grover the goat, at the thing with horns that was lumbering toward us slowly and deliberately like, like a bull.
we climbed across Grover and pushed the door open into the rain. "We're going together. Come on, Mom..Mrs Jakson '' we told her not wanting to hear any word of it since this was our decision regardless of how stupid or idiotic it seemed to her .
"I told you-" Mrs Jakson said to us being quite the stuborn woman i had to hand it to her she trully had some fighting spirit for some one so nice as well as kind .
''sorry Mrs Jakson but even if you have your reasons you are not going to stay here to die at the hands of that thing all because of some stupid brat and his crazy dad so wether you like it or not you are coming with us .
i told her being stuborn and serios i was like this since i knew that Percy would want his mom to be fine and in a way i wanted to make sure my friend still got to do that since i already lost my mom as well as dad and knew just how it felt to be alone and have no one to comfort you or be there when you really need them .
''Naruto's right mom i wont let you out here Help me with Grover."
we didn't wait for her answer. we scrambled outside, drag-ging Grover from the car. He was surprisingly light, but I couldn't have carried him very far if my mom hadn't come to my aid.
Together, we draped Grover's arms over our shoulders and started stumbling uphill through wet waisthigh grass.
Glancing back, I got my first clear look at the monster. He was seven feet tall, easy, his arms and legs like something from the cover of Muscle Man magazine-bulging biceps and triceps and a bunch of other 'ceps, all stuffed like baseballs under vein-webbed skin. He wore no clothes except under-wear-I mean, bright white Fruit of the Looms-which would've looked funny, except that the top half of his body was so scary. Coarse brown hair started at about his belly button and got thicker as it reached his shoulders.
His neck was a mass of muscle and fur leading up to his enormous head, which had a snout as long as my arm, snotty nostrils with a gleaming brass ring, cruel black eyes, and horns-enormous black-and white horns with points you just couldn't get from an electric sharpener.
''see i told you it was the beef on steroids we learned about him in one of Mr Chiron's classes sorry if you still might want to call him Mr Brunner Percy but the trough is out and this is it ,i have to say this is a lot more to be desierd i mean really having to fight monsters was not on my list to do things well we will have to thank them for this and you know who i mean don't you Perce ?''
Percy was shocked but he was strugeling betwin that since he wanted to either laugh or be scared though in the end he just noded and agreed with me having a slight glare since he did not liked what was going on and becose of whom as well as kind of why .
''but that is ...well you can say that alright about him as well as to what you said Naruto i mean this really sucks why should we go through this all because of something we did not even do ''
i replied at first i was scared but then i became annoyed maybe it was because of Naruto since his personality a small part of it might had rubbed off on me too but he had a very good point since i did not asked for this any of this for all i wanted was to live a normal life and not have to worry about who knows what wanting to either kill me or probably eat me .
I recognized the monster, all right. He had been in one of the first stories Mr. Brunner told us. But he couldn't be real, or so i thought since he was and now i was watching him that really kind of started to bring a wake up call for me .
I blinked the rain out of my eyes. "That's-"
''yup the bull on steroids also known as the cow man who was in that wierd place that was named the labyrinth '' i said back while glancing at the freaking bull he was coming twoards us and that made me wander if he was rabidd or simply plain normal wanting me and Percy for break feast i opte for rabidd since some one like him might wanted to get some vengance and who knows he might have been hungry too .
"Pasiphae's son," my mother /Mrs Jakson said already i knew about that since it was kind of hugely obvios .
"But he's the Min-" i said when bought Naruto and my mom gave me a look teling me to not utter his name i did not knew why but i did not question it either .
''don't say his name ,names have power '' she gave us a warning i noded while Naruto simply rolled his eyes at that it was obvious he kind of knew about it since he was referying to the Minotaur by diferent names that where kind of wierd but funny too .
The pine tree was still way too far-a hundred yards uphill at least.
we glanced behind again .
The bull-man hunched over our car, looking in the win-dows-or not looking, exactly. More like snuffling, nuz-zling. I wasn't sure why he bothered, since we were only about fifty feet away.
"Food?" Grover moaned.
''zip it goat boy or we will become food for the freaky cow no less '' i told Grover in a wisper hoping the dumb bull will not hear us he was stupid alright since he probably thought that we where still in the car and maybe he belived he had to show he was the bigger cow i did not knew since i did not spoke the cow language especially the stupid cow language that the bull moron was actually kind of very good at perhaps it was because he was close to a monkey or he was similar to a certain god that was a war bully ,i thought about the two probably being related with them being long distant cousens or something like that .
"Shhh," I told him. "Mom, what's he doing? Doesn't he see us?"
''haha he is to dumb for that if we wisper like this he wont see us since he is blind as crap but he has a very good smell kind of like Gabe the two could be very related maybe Gabe is his secound distant long cousen or even brother with how he looks heck the smell they share it as well .
at the words Percy was giggeling in fact he looked about to laugh out loud when i compared gabe with the stupid steroid cow ,Mrs Jakson looked surprised but heck she was not upset since she was giggeling in fact being very amused by my comparison .
''maybe you are right Naruto Gabe dose seem to be kind of relate to Pashiphae's son ''
now me and Percy gawked at her bought grining when Mrs Jakson did not scolded us or repremend us for talking bad about Gabe this kind of shown that maybe she did not liked the guy as much as me and especially percy thought not that it was with out reason for that man was disgusting like a pig and was also violent so seeing the freaky bull and thinking about Gabe there was a resemblance betwin them and even the bully war god the three were simply stupid beyond comparisom and they where disliked well one was a monster while two were stupid guys who thought that they can do what ever the heck they wanted .
''mom .Mrs Jakson how shrewed of you ,really mom i would had never expected that from you '' we said while grining since we totally would had Percy more than me .
''i don't know what are you boys talking about i simply made a small agrement with your friend Percy nothing more ''Mrs Jakson /mom said while smiling showing a shrewed side that i did not seen till now .
''ok boys fun's over we have to be carfule here since he can't see us ,"His sight and hearing are terrible," she said. "He goes by smell. But he'll figure out where we are soon enough."
As if on cue, the bull-man bellowed in rage. He picked up Gabe's Camaro by the torn roof, the chassis creaking and groaning. He raised the car over his head and threw it down the road. It slammed into the wet asphalt and skidded in a shower of sparks for about half a mile before coming to a stop. The gas tank exploded.
Not a scratch we suddenly rembered Gabe telling us that .
Oops. we bought thought being amused by what had happen .
''Percy,Naruto ''my mom/mrs Jakson said "When he sees us, he'll charge. Wait until the last second, then jump out of the way- directly sideways. He can't change directions very well once he's charging. Do you understand?"
i gave a nod wanderying how she knew about this but i thought that as a mother she might had been just worried that Percy could had been attacked and in a sad way she had a point .
''how do you know all this ? i asked wanting to know since this was way to wierd .
"I've been worried about an attack for a long time. I should have expected this. I was selfish, keeping you near me."
hearing this was strange but even so i as well as Percy did not care since at least Mrs Jakson in my books was a very cool mom who wanted what was best for Percy even if it might had been wrong at times ,this made me wander about my mom and how she saw things when i had been alone for most of my twelve years i did not knew since she was not a normal person but a goddess but i thought that maybe she might had felt like Mrs Jakson did towards Percy but in a diferent way .
''hey Mrs Jakson don't blame your self so what if you wanted Percy close it simply means that you care deep enough about him and this is a lot coming from some one who is a very nice lady to do especially in this wierd crazy world we are now apparently sucked in .
Mrs Jakson was very surprised at what i said ,Percy noded as well since he felt the same this made her weep a few tears since she probably felt that she could have done more but to me at least she did quite enough i did not knew how Percy felt but i hoped he felt the way i did since his mom really did enough especially since she decided to put up with a slob like that Gabe and only for Percy i did not need to know why since it was obvious that she did all this for Percy and nothing more .
"Keeping me near you? But-" i replied not knowing how to react since this was crazy i knew mom was trying so hard to raise me and even more she put up with that guy for what ever reason and i felt that maybe it was because of me and now she was telling me she was selfish ,if anything my dad was the selfish one since he did nothing to try and help my mom since he left her all alone to take care of me and put her life on hold and was living in crappy conditions with a slob of a man.
so no i did not thought that mom was selfish for doing this but my dad and even me as sad as it was to addmit since i was making things harder for her instead of trying to understand her a bit more .
Another bellow of rage, and the bull-man started tromping uphill.
He'd smelled us.
The pine tree was only a few more yards, but the hill was getting steeper and slicker, and Grover wasn't getting any lighter.
The bull-man closed in. Another few seconds and he'd be on top of us.
My/Mrs Jakson mother must've been exhausted, but she shouldered Grover. "Go, Percy!,Naruto Separate! Remember what I said."
we didn't want to split up, but we had the feeling she was right-it was our only chance. we sprinted to the left, turned, and saw the creature bearing down on us. His black eyes glowed with hate. He reeked like rotten meat.
He lowered his head and charged, those razor-sharp horns aimed straight at our chest's
The fear in my stomach made me want to bolt, but that wouldn't work. I could never outrun this thing. So I held my ground, and at the last moment we bought jumped to the left .
The bull-man stormed past like a freight train, then bel-lowed with frustration and turned, but not toward me this time, toward my mother/Mrs Jakson , who was setting Grover down in the grass.
We'd reached the crest of the hill. Down the other side we could see a valley, just as my mother/Mrs Jakson had said, and the lights of a farmhouse glowing yellow through the rain. But that was half a mile away. We'd never make it.
The bull-man grunted, pawing the ground. He kept eyeing my mother,/Mrs Jakson who was now retreating slowly downhill, back toward the road, trying to lead the monster away from Grover.
"Run Percy Naruto ''she told us but we bought watched in horror at what was happening "I can't go any farther. Run!"
But we bought stood there, frozen in fear, as the monster charged her. She tried to sidestep, as she'd told us to do, but the monster had learned his lesson. His hand shot out and grabbed her by the neck as she tried to get away. He lifted her as she struggled, kicking and pummeling the air.
"Mom!.Mrs Jakson ''
She caught my eyes, managed to choke out one last word: "Go!"
Then, with an angry roar, the monster closed his fists around my mother's neck, and she dissolved before my eyes, melting into light, a shimmering golden form, as if she were a holographic projection. A blinding flash, and she was sim-ply ... gone.
"No!" we bought said we where bought angry at what happened i could not belive that my mom was gone just like that .
''you bastard you are going to pay for that you stupid bull you hear me '' i yelled at him glaring at the huge bull with anger wanting nothing more than to rip the thing to shreads with my bare hands for what he did . right as i was about to charge and beat the creep up i felt a a strange surge of power my jump suit that i had as pj was replaced with the same shrime outfit that i was wearing when i faced Mrs Alecto .
glancing at Percy i saw that anger had replace his fear like what happen to me now a new found strengh burned in our limbs for us it was the same rush of energy when we faced Mrs Alecto .
The bull-man bore down on Grover, who lay helpless in the grass. The monster hunched over, snuffling our best friend as if he were about to lift Grover up and make him dissolve too.
we could not allow that .
I stripped off my red rain jacket.
"Hey!" we bought screamed . Percy was waving the jacket, running to one side of the monster. "Hey, stupid! Ground beef!"
"Raaaarrrrr!" The monster turned toward us shaking his meaty fists
we had a stupid ideea , but better than no idea at all. we put our back to the big pine tree and waved my red jacket in front of the bull-man, thinking we'd jump out of the way at the last moment.
But it didn't happen like that.
The bull-man charged too fast, his arms out to grab us whichever way we tried to dodge.
Time slowed down.
My legs tensed. I couldn't jump sideways, so I leaped straight up, kicking off from the creature's head, using it as a springboard, turning in midair, and landing on his neck.
i was surprise seeing Percy do that but there was no time to contemplate on what happen wanting a pice of the action as well i made the shadow clone jutsu hand sign creating a few clones .Percy was gawking at us not expecting this .
''hey stupid bull you try to mess with us well you will get it now we will show you what happens when you try to get us mad ,Percy can you use water cause i kind of need that if you don't know how to do this use the rain if you want to know how think of what you did to Nancy back at the muesum when you were angry at her and try to do the same thing again .
i told him Percy was gawking at me as if i was crazy since he clearly did not knew how to do what i asked him but when he started to think back on what happen with Nancy when she annoyed us after again deciding to pick on Grover Percy got an ideea of what to do .
''ok Naruto i got it i think ''i told him earning a grin from him and uh his duplicates ?
''good then we will have ourselves some roasted bull meat right guys ?'' i asked the clones with a grin ,they chered as well liking that very much as well as Percy .
i still wandered how did i do that ? I didn't have time to figure it out. A millisecond later, the monster's head slammed into the tree and the impact nearly knocked my teeth out.
The bull-man staggered around, trying to shake me. I locked my arms around his horns to keep from being thrown. Thunder and lightning were still going strong. The rain was in my eyes. The smell of rotten meat burned my nostrils.
The monster shook himself around and bucked like a rodeo bull. He should have just backed up into the tree and smashed me flat, but I was starting to realize that this thing had only one gear: forward.
as Percy was rodeo the bull me and my clones had a perfect ideea to stop the creep glancing at the night sky i decided to ask for a favore i did not knew if it was going to be answered but it was worth to try .
''uhm uncel uh i don't know if you can hear me but can you help me and my friend out since we are in a bind if you please can ,can i use some of your lightning since i want to fry that bull good '' i said while looking at the sky it was wierd i know but it was a good option .
in a few seconds a flahs of lightning came towards us and in my hand as well as my clones there where bolts of lightning we grinned since that worked out just fine
''hey Percy if you can use your water or something it will be great since we will fry this bull freak ''
i shouted at him he glanced back while holding on to dear life having a shocked face when he saw that i had lightning in my hand as well as my clones did .
''how did you ,ugh never mind i think i might got something ''i shouted back at Naruto and his look alikes it was schetchy at best but i thought back when Nancy made me angry and had that strange feeling the first time ending with Nancy on the ground . now the same thing had happen but instead of strange arms or what ever the rain was pouring more harder and it was making me more stronger even if things where kind of hard to see .
''alright Naruto i think i ve got it so do what you planned already '' i shouted at him still holding to the bull's neck .
''ok guys you heard the man lets roast that bull ''i said with a grin my clones shouting as well grining like i did we all used the lightning that my uncel gave to me and we saw quite a show since the lightning that we threw up in the air came down to where Percy and the bull were we where a bit worried about Perce since we kind of thought he might be roasted as well but he to our relif jumped back landing on the ground watching the show .
the bull was stunned and incapacitated but we did not stoped there for we used more flashy lightning and stunned the bull more we continued to do that till the bull was roasted meet when me and my clones saw that we stoped and walking twoards Percy who was stunned by what he saw and a bit scared as well watched me go closer to the bull man wandering what was i about to do .
''you should had nerver messed with my friends bull man now you will burn for that got it rember this well as you will burn away never come after my friends again or i will kill you and every monster that will dare trying '' i told the bull with a cold look my eyes changed to chips of ice and it was good since the roasted bull was afraide and was now backing away but i did not want to let him off the hook so after opening my right palm and held it up thinking about fier i some how managed to bring it on my palm and to my surprise it was excatly what i wanted .
with a cold stare that i gave the bull man i simply blew the black fier that thanks to the air was going twoards him it was surprising how i did not felt hot or burnt for that matter ,this kind of proved that i really was her son for other wise her flame would had burnt me .
i watched how the flames that i blew where now sorounding the bull man and where going straight at him starting to waile because of the pain i winced not liking the screams for they where screams of pain and no one trully deserved that no matter who or what they were but the bull attacked my best friends and took away a good person who was the mother of my second best friend and for this was no way i would had simply let a monster get away with it even if it was painfule to see .
in matter of minutes that where pure agony for the minotaur the bull man finally fell while the flames where still burning away he disolved in to the same strange light that Mrs Alecto turned too when she left and even Mrs Jakson when she was taken away by the bull man i watched the flames burning away not even the rain being able to put them out .
Meanwhile, Grover started groaning in the grass i sighed seeing this and wanted to yell at him to wake up but decided against it i walked twoards him the flames that i used not being far from where Grover was going to him i decided to put the flames that i used in the fight out .
touching them since they where kind of big i observed in curiosity how they where put out i thought that maybe only i could do that since i used them .
after walking towards Grover i dragded him out from the grass while he was moaning i saw Percy looking at us with amazement at what happen but that change to grif since he was crying and could not blame him since what he saw as well as me was so traumatasing for kids like us it made me angry mad that such a nice lady had to go because of a stupid brat and also because of Percy's dad who did not had the guts to do what he should had long ago .
The rain had stopped. The storm still rumbled, but only in the distance. geting close to Percy who was smelling like living stock i saw his knees shaking and he also felt like he had a spliting head ache ,he was weak as well as scared and trembling with grief after just seeing his mom ,mrs Jakson vanish we wanted to lie down Percy to probably cry and me to think and probably try and mentally vent at this whole think since it was plain ridiculous .but there was Grover, needing our help, so after I managed to haul him up and stagger down into the valley, toward the lights of the farm-house. I saw Percy was crying, calling for his mother . I held on to Grover-I wasn't going to let him go.
The last thing Percy remember is collapsing on a wooden porch, looking up at a ceiling fan above him .moths flying around a yellow light, and the stern faces of a familiar-looking bearded man and a pretty girl, her blond hair curled like a princess's. they where bought look down at my friend as well as me who had remained silent though i had to admit that the girl was very preaty .
the girl said"He's the one. He must be." that earned an raised eyebrow from me hearing this since it was as if this preaty girl was waiting for some one for something .
"Silence, Annabeth," the man said. "He's still conscious .bring them inside ''
i observed the girl who was named Annabeth giving me a look she had deep tanned skin while her blond hair was curled her eyes where gray stormed i was very intrigued by that since they where quite beutifule .
''what are you looking at ?''Annabeth asked while looking at me she remained silent after that catching me off guard i did not knew what to say since i didn't want to embarest my self while looking at her . she had a serios look as she was watching me but now for some wierd reason she was the one who was blushing just like me her eyes where fixated on my shrime outfit since she was curios about this but then her eyes shifted twoards my face and she tiltead her head a bit making a cute head gesture .she was now quite intersted in the wiskers i had on my face i did not knew what was with them since i had them from the day i was born , i was shifting akwardly while being observed by her hoping she was done or will be soon since this was embaresing to be watched so intently by a girl who was not only serios but very beutifule as well .
my wish came true when Annabeth glanced at my hair observing it was wield and spiky she blushed again but this time it was a bit more obvious ,this made me wander what was wrong with her since it was odd .
''hm you are wierd you known that but maybe you could be also the one i have been expecting and uh is that a shrime uniform you are wearing cause you look quite good in it since it kind of suits you since the red pants as well as white top are going quite well with your exotic facial as well as very wiled and spiky blond hair .
i remained stunned in to silance being quite embarest by hearing the words right away i tried to look away but couldn't since Annabeth was quite preaty and that would had been rude to do so as well as kind of bad still i rubbed the back of my head since i did not expected that .
this made Annabeth giggel for some wierd reason but i did not question it since she was odd well very cute but odd and i did not got her at all .
''uhm t thank gues y you a are q q quite c c cute t t too just so you know '' i said stuttering a bit feeling a bit of heat on my cheeks .Annabeth was frozen and blinked at me not moving making me look at her in return wanderying if i said something bad since she kind of complimented me first so it was kind of natural to do that in return i did not knew since i never truly did this to any girl not even Sakura so i had no ideea of what i was doing in the first place .
''uh wha ? d did y you j just c called me c cute ?''Annabeth asked with a strange look on her face ,i was wanderying how to respond since this was kind of wierd and akward but i decided to be honest as usual .''y yeah i did a are y you m mad a at me ?'' i asked hoping she was not going to hit me when i did not even done any thing .
''uh n no w why w would i be mad at you in the first place i mean i was the one who talked about how you looked first it's only natural to respond given after what i said to you . i hope you are not bothered by this since it's true any way ''
Annabeth told me right away i moved my hands around making hand gestures that made things quite funny as well as akward since i was embarest ''uh no no d don't wory you did nothing wrong it's just i m not so very good when it comes to talking around girls since well they think i m annoying or something i don't know well maybe Sakura is a bit right since i kind of pesterd her about some things but other than that i don't really talk to people that often so don't worry .
hearing that she was a bit relived even if again she was amused by probably what i did though she did gave me a wierd glance again that was replaced by a curios look that changed again to a wierd flat stare and again to a small understanding gaze ,this happen in only a second and it was quite impresive to see some one going through diferent facial expresions in a second .
''oh is that so well i m sorry to hear about this then well i hope we can be friends good friends from now on since i wont think to diferently of you if we were to know each other much better ''
i was a bit surprised hearing this girl telling me something like that i did not knew how to feel but i did not dwelle to much on it since if this girl wanted to be friends with me who was i to turn her away from that .i grined at her deciding to respond .
''yeah maybe we could become good or great friends if we were to know each other better from now on by the way i m Naruto Uzumaki ''i said all that telling her my name while having a big grin .
Annabeth was staring at me for a few moments probably wanderying if my name was real or not though she shrugged her sholders and then decided to introduce herself ''Annabeth Chase it's a pleasure to meet you ,well come one Chiron will probably waiting for us inside ''
after Annabeth Introduced herself leting me know her name i decided to follow after her since there where a lot of things i nedded to know and also i was worried about Percy as well as Grover who was on my back . i wandered how this place was going to be but it was already starting to look quite intersting from my perspective since i was already about to make a new friend who was a cute girl no less i grined already liking what was happening and about to happen from now on while being in this place .i already knew that me and Percy already entered in a new life that was filled with dangers and monsters but maybe not all was going to be so bad from now on for the two of us .
