Kovir, Witcher Reality:
Park and Anarietta were holding off at the center of the capitol of Kovir, using a barricade of chairs and tables.
"Yirina, where's Ciri?!" Park called as Portnova arrived behind the barricade, opening fire on the incoming invaders.
"She's with the king. Shit, they've got a VTOL." Portnova said as the VTOL strafed a terrace of houses, civilians came sprinting from their houses with their children in their arms.
"careful we have non-combatants in the A.O!" Park called out as Portnova threw a grenade at a wave of incoming enemies.
Anna was holding off with ease until she was struck by a bullet in the shoulder, causing her to pass her QBZ to Park. as the attacking forces began to thin out they began to kill their own wounded, ensuring no one was alive to reveal any information on them.
"They're falling back!" a soldier said as he rushed on ahead.
"No, they're trying to draw us out!" Park ordered as she prepared herself for another attack.
"What do you think we should do?" Anna asked as Park passed her a stim-shot to help with the pain.
"Hold our ground until those reinforcements arrive. That's all we can do, unless Blue has something up his sleeve that'll save us. there's too many of them for us to attack them so we have to use our position." Park said as she spotted something over the city walls.
"What is that?" Portnova asked as another army charged at them, armed with tanks and Helicopters and machines that looked like they were straight out of science fiction.
Before the army reached them a wall of fire erected itself. Park turned to see Triss and a few more sorceresses arriving.
"Triss brought the lodge!" Ciri shouted with joy as an army of soldiers arrived as backup."Nilfgaard's here too. Emhyr must have heard about the attacks on Toussaint."
Kovir soldiers rallied together along with the lodge and Nilfgaard, they all looked to Park.
There was an army growing on the horizon.
"Triss, you and your people stay here protect the city you're the last line of defense, anything gets within 100 yards of this city turn it away or turn it to cinders, Nilfgaard and Kovir, with me and my squad, we're taking the fight to them. Let's go!" Park said taking command as she readied her gun and led the charge at the growing army of hostiles.
Enemy machine guns ricocheted off the shields and into the ground, the tanks began to fire only for the shells to hit magical shields created by the lodge. as they got closer Park and her forces began to return fire, throwing grenades down the barrels of tanks and some even hijacking the tanks. there was only one problem for each enemy they killed it felt like there were three more to take their place. Park and her army managed to push the invaders back a decent amount, all of that changed when the invaders leader charged onto the battlefield, they were wearing a face mask and battle armor, it was a blonde haired woman, her hair in a braided pony tail.
She tackled Park to the floor and tried to punch her, her hand however only made contact with the floor as Helen repeatedly punched the woman in the gut to weaken her, the enemy leader managed to land a punch on Park and followed it by kneeing her in the face over and over, Park was losing her battle, as were Ciri and Portnova, the two of them fighting off a mechanized enemy armed with enhanced strength. The enemy leader picked Park by her throat and threw her a clear 12 ft.
"Hey honey, miss me?" Blue's voice said over the comms as Apache gunships arrived, wiping out the enemy artillery while 'Paint it Black - The Rolling Stones' was blurring from the on board speakers.
Everyone looked up to see something that looked like a missile with arms flying in and descending, it made impact and caused a cloud of dirt to rise around it, as the cloud of dirt disappeared it revealed Blue dressed in his Black silver and red beskar armor.
"You know, red's gonna be your best color when I'm finished here." Blue said calmly as he drew his pistol and took out seven enemies, Park taking that as her queue to start the attack again began to stand back to back with Blue as the enemy leader vanished right in front of Blue, disappearing into a cloud of smoke.
"Shark 2-9 coming in for a strafe run over." an Apache pilot said as he opened fire of the enemy army taking out hundreds of them with a mixture of both the mini guns and rockets.
"how are you fighting like this with your shoulder?"
"Painkillers and booze." Blue said as he used his wrist mounted flame thrower to burn 10 attackers, following it with the rocket on his jet-pack being used on an enemy VTOL, the bullets were bouncing off of Blue's armor and not even scratching it. without any help Blue ripped the off of a nearby tank and used it to mow down over 300 enemy troops before throwing the machine gun.
"Okay how are you doing all of that?"
"I used Organization tech, electronic arm brace."
"Bloody hell, is there anything they don't know how to do?"
"Raise a fucking child that doesn't turn out to be a freak!" Blue returned as an enemy tried to punch him in the head, only to break their own hand, Blue simply headbutted them and threw them into three of their comrades.
"Retreat! Retreat!" The enemy lieutenant called out as the army began to fall back Blue fired a small tracer onto a soldiers back.
"Let them run we have them, fortify our positions." Park ordered as she checked her ammo reserve.
'We got a job to do.'
"Park and the rest of her squad regroup and R.T.B for debrief. Triss, do you and the Lodge mind joining us?" Blue said as he holstered his weapons and removed his helmet.
"What about Kovir?"
"Nilfgaard and Anna will be looking after them for now, Anna may be injured but that won't affect her ability to keep Emhyr at bay from annexing this place."
"Where did you get the helicopters?" Park asked as they entered the New York safe-house.
"Johnson can get his hands on anything if you give him the cash, let's just say I get a discount." Blue said calmly as he led Park to his office.
"How's your mother?"
"She's recovering, all too slowly however."
"Give her time Blue."
"You're the expert. So, you managed to unite two armies against a common enemy." Blue said pouring a shot of Jack Daniels for the two of them.
"I'm sure you've done more impressive feats."
"No, I brokered a barely passable peace treaty, you've surpassed me on the peace brokering side of things. Congratulations." Blue said raising his glass before gulping it down.
"Aww, do you need me to comfort you about losing your crown?" Park said jokingly as Blue sighed.
"Let it out, let it all out."
"Don't worry, I'm sure I won't use it against you for the rest of your life."
"I'm never gonna hear the end of this am I?"
"Not as long as I have a say in it." Park said as she gave Blue a kiss before leaving the office. Blue shortly followed her into the briefing room where Portnova, Ciri, Samantha and the Lodge were all waiting. sat at the side of the table while Park sat at the head of the briefing table.
"We managed to repel the attack on Kovir, but I'm certain that the enemy with attempt to attack a less fortified kingdom. We have to begin warning the other kingdoms." Triss said as Park and Blue nodded in agreement.
"If we start now they might be able to form some kind of alliance to help us fight the enemy, we should also begin warning as many other realities as possible, these people were able to travel between this reality and the world of the witcher, meaning that they somehow have the same ability as me. Perhaps Rachel can look through Organization records to see if they might have found anything there." Blue said logically as Rachel nodded.
"Okay, Portnova, I want you and Blue on surveillance, any transmissions that you get I want decoded, I'll be keeping an eye on the tracker signal. Ciri, you'll be working with Blue's contact Johnson on procuring any remaining members of our old team, try and find out if any are in hiding and if so then where they are. You all know what you're doing so get to it people." Park set about ordering as she looked through what intel they had.
"Ma'am. What about me?" Maxis said as Blue intervened.
"You can start working when you've recovered from the illness to the satisfaction of both me and Helen." Blue said as he took Samantha back to her quarantine room and handed her his diary. "Some reading material, don't worry mum, most likely another week tops."
"I wish I wasn't just being a liability to the team-"
"You're not a liability, don't be so ridiculous, was I a liability when I was injured by Linda on Anthrax Island?" Blue said as he comforted his mother.
"Blue, when you have children, which mother will you tell them about?"
"Both you and Yennefer, If you think I'm not letting my kids near their grandparents then you're sorely mistaken."Samantha smiled at him as Helen knocked on the window of the room. Blue stepped outside the door to talk to her.
"Rachel's got something. Some sort of machine that harnessed your ability, she had it shut down knowing how bad that could be, but the blueprints were reported missing shortly after Linda attacked."
"So whoever this person is they knew Linda. Great, but who this person is remains a mystery. Get MI6 monitoring all trips to anthrax, they could be situated there. Any news on the rest of the team?"
"the tracker's stopped in Austria."
"Anywhere significant in Austria?"
"No, just a general location." Park answered as she looked at the beacon displaying a 1000 mile radius.
"Fucking hell, alright, keep on it, I'll try getting a network of contacts set up so we can close the search are down." Blue said as he looked through the window at Maxis. "Maybe we should give her something to do, she's getting melancholy in there."
"what about getting her to look for all the last known locations of all the team members."
"I'll give her the news." Blue said as he was handed a few folders by Helen. As Blue stepped into the quarantine room he put the folders on the table next to him as he sat down.
"Anything new?"
"Tracker led us to Austria, nothing that tells us about the enemy though." Blue said as he opened one of the folders.
"You're thinking of a theory aren't you?"
"They know we exist and they know how we operate, right. so what if they're also one of us, or were at least."
"A traitor?"
"Possibly, they could have been brainwashed for all we know, and I'm not going to kill them for being brainwashed." Blue said calmly as he handed Maxis the folders. "Got you something to do, Park wants to know the last known locations of all team members that are MIA."
"I'll get on it." Maxis smiled as Blue sat in a small arm chair near a coffee table. Park walked in calmly.
"Blue, we have a lead. You're up for mission selection. get your equipment ready, Maxis, your free from quarantine but still grounded to base." Park said as she walked up to Blue and handed him a note. "Chicago, Alexander Leminov, find what he knows then you do as you see fit, you'll receive further details when you touchdown in Chicago. Blue...be careful for me. You and I still need a real honeymoon."
"Relax, should be fun." Blue said as he headed to the armory to prepare, grabbing a small walther and a shoulder holster. Blue changed into a dark navy suit, the ppk hidden under the suit. As he packed his bags Blue heard a knock at the door. "It's open."
"Blue, when you get back, we need to talk about something...important." Park's voice said over Blue's shoulder.
"Why not now?" Blue asked as Park smiled at his willingness to drop everything for her.
"Because you need to focus on the mission. Come back for me, ay love." She said as she planted a kiss on Blue's cheek.
"You're forgetting that I broke into the KGB headquarters." Blue said as he picked up his suitcase.
"Love you." Park said as Blue opened the door.
"You too." Blue said casually as he stepped into the garage and took a 4x4 off to the airport. Stepping onto the private plane to Chicago airport Blue pulled a book out and sat down calmly as he set about waiting for take off, the staff were calm and composed while Blue was feeling inquisitive about what Park had to tell him when he got back.
