Bonded By Love-Ch 7
As the next few days passed by Penelopes numbers kept getting better and better and she was getting stronger and stronger, which made everybody very happy, especially Derek. The team had returned from their case and were currently checking on Derek to see when he was going to be released.
Hotch and the others stepped out of the room so the doctors could examine Derek, as they started walking up the hall Hotch saw Payton and grinned as he followed him into the waiting room where he figured the other brothers would be waiting.
Payton grinned and said, "Aaron isn't it"?, Hotch nodded his head and said, "it is, but please, please call me Hotch, everybody does". Payton nodded his head and said, "how was your case"?, Reid and the others walked into the room and he said, "disturbing, very disturbing" causing the others to grin at him.
The brothers and the team sat and talked for a while with everybody finding out about each other and Penelope, which was very informative for Hotch. Dave looked at Payton and said, "so you mean to tell me that your sister is a hacker"?, the brothers laughed and Paul said, "that's a good way of putting it".
They all looked at Paul as he said, "my sister is the best computer person I've ever seen in my life, if their is something out there that is needed she can find it, I've never seen her fail at anything she's ever tried".
Hotch said, "I wonder if she would be interested in maybe being our analyst"?, the brothers looked at each other and then at him and said in unison, "seriously"?, Emily grinned and said, "if their is one thing that Aaron doesn't do it's kid, he's very serious".
Peter said, "I'm sure she would be, when she recovers you can ask her", Patrick said, "she's always been good with computers, even when she was a little girl". JJ listened as he continued by saying, "when other girls were playing with dolls or trying to land the perfect man my sister was working hard on the computer, trying to make her dreams come true".
Everybody's eyes turned to the door when they saw Maggie walk into the room, Payton said, "is something wrong with P"?, Maggie said, "oh no, nothing like that I was just here to give you an update on her, that's all, sorry, didn't mean to scare you".
The brothers took a deep breath and then looked at Maggie who said, "so far so good, her numbers keep getting better everyday and their are no signs of complications". Hotch looked at the brothers and said, "that's wonderful news, maybe you'll be able to take her home soon"?, Paul sighed happily and said, "I can't wait to get her home and spoil her".
Payton said, "oh yeah because you know how much she likes that, notttttttt", Peter said, "he's got a point bro, she doesn't like to be waited on or pampered". Patrick said, "true, buttttt, just maybe she'll at least take it easy for a while so her body can recover properly".
Maggie looked at the team and said, "I hear that Derek might get released today", Dave said, "his mother will be glad to hear that". Reid listened as Maggie said, "if they release him they will still want him to stay here in California for a few days, I hope that's no trouble".
Dave said, "no, none at all, we're all on stand down for a week so some time here will do us all some good" causing Emily to grin and agree happily. JJ said, "if we're going to stay here I'll need to send for Henry", Emily said, "and me for Jack, it seems like forever since I've hugged my baby".
Payton said, "why don't all of you stay with us, we have plenty of room and their is a big back yard for the boys to play in". Everybody looked at Hotch and nodded their heads yes and Hotch said, "thank you so much, we appreciate that".
Patrick said, "and their is plenty of room for Derek and his sisters to stay too, that way everybody can spend some time getting to know each other and then you can discuss your idea with Penelope" and Hotch said, "true, that I can, that I can".
Their conversation ended when a nurse walked into the room and let the team know that they could go back to Dereks room. Before they left Payton wrote down their address and said, "please tell Derek that Penelope is doing great, that her numbers are getting better and better everyday".
Hotch said, "I'll be happy to tell him that and I guess we'll see you guys later", Payton said, "that you will Hotch, that you will" and the brothers watched as the team and Maggie walked out of the waiting room and headed back up the hall toward Dereks room
