10th March 1989 -

Blue came home from his job at the police department in the local town, appreciating the quietness of being a phone operator. He was finally free from his past and most of the horrors it entailed.

"Hey honey, I'm home." Blue called out as he put his keys on a table in the hall.

"In here!" Park called from the living room, she was tidying the place up, her baby bump showing.

"Thought the doctor said to take it easy. come on, sit down. I got dinner on the way home." Blue said as he put the food onto the plates in the kitchen before taking them to Park in the living room.

"Thanks love, how was work?"

"Fine, the usual, you alright?" Blue said as he readied his plate.

"Apart from him giving the odd kick I'm fine." Park said smiling as she looked at Blue.

"Heard anything from the team?"

"nothing, how's your mother?" Park asked as rested her head on Blue's shoulder.

"Last I heard she and Weaver started investigating leads in other realities, something to do with Omega group."

"You want to go help them don't you." Park said as Blue shook his head.

"No, no more, I'm done with that life." Blue said as he poured himself a whiskey.

"Oh love, please don't drink in front of me." Park said with a hint of laughing in her voice.

"Sorry. Any name Ideas yet?"

"David."

"My grandfathers name?"

"Yes, the boy should know who his heritage is, besides, you always said your grandfather was one of the few family members you knew, perhaps you might want to remember him."

"Sure, worth a thought I guess." Blue said as he smiled at Park, kissing her on the forehead.

That moment the phone rang.

"I've got it." Blue said as he picked the phone up.

"Hey kid, I'm sending agents to pick you and Park up, Lovanyas escaped from the RAFT.

"What, hold up? She's possibly the greatest threat I've ever fought, and you're telling me she wasn't kept on ice at all times!?" Blue snapped.

"Hey, you should have iced her last year, put two in her head and left her there to rot!" Fury cracked as Blue sighed.

"I thought you had her under control! besides me and Park are finished with all that, off the radar." Blue returned as Park rushed over to see what had him so agitated.

"Who is this?!" Park shouted over the phone.

"we've met before miss Park-"

"I go by my husbands surname, its Maxis now." Park cut Fury off with venom in her voice.

"Look, Lovanya's on the loose and regardless of how safe you think you are you and your team need help if you want to avoid what happened last time, now get your shit together and go with the agents on their way over to you." Fury ordered as he had enough of Blue and Helen already.

"she won't find us here so go and help the rest of the team."

"She won't but the CIA will, now get in the car and go with my people." Blue was able to hear the conversation and immediately began to gather his essentials while Helen tried to argue over the phone.

"fine, if I don't like what I hear then we're leaving and coming back here to live our lives away from all this." She said as she hung the phone up.

"Helen get ready, something's not right, why would the CIA find me when they're not looking for me, answer, they're looking for me without me knowing." Blue said as he packed a colt. "Were you serious when you said your going by my surname?"

"No honey I said that to try and shut him up." Park said as she packed a small weapon.

"You get in first I'm getting something. Go!" Blue said as he rushed upstairs and took the Organization dossier on the tests performed on his blood, hiding it in his bag. as he ran out of the house he threw his bag on the backseat of the 4x4 as a knockout dart hit him in the neck, he had a short time before the toxins would take hold. "Go, get her to safety."

The driver shut the door and drove off into the night as a reluctant Adler approached Blue.

"For what it's worth kid, I tried to stop them." he said as Blue fell to one knee.

"You." Blue said groggily as he tried to tackle Adler to the floor. Adler stepped aside and caught Blue.

"Please, kid, just trust me...go along with it." Adler whispered into Blues ear before Blue fell unconscious.

CIA Holding Facility:

Blue was woken in his cell by a knock on the door, as he sat up he was called out by a man with a German accent. As he stepped out into the interrogation room he saw the man, they had a mustache and an all round stern look about him, his hair was parted on the left side of his head and looked to be combed to the right.

"Where is your mother?"

"I don't know, last update I got she was working for you and weaver." Blue said calmly as the man slammed his head on the desk.

Requiem Safe House, Zombies reality, 5 weeks ago:

The computer simply read:

'Valentina is no longer an issue.'

'Agent Klaus completed his mission.'

'Project Janus must now proceed unimpeded.'

'Maxis presents a problem that must be dealt with.'

'Her powers are growing...'

Five days later and Maxis had caught wind of the message and disappeared, vanishing from the face of the earth, the CIA lit up like a Christmas tree in a hunt for her.

"Sir we have everybody looking for her, she's out there we'll find her." Weaver said as he walked along side the director of Requiem.

"See that you do, she is a threat and she is in the wild." the director said, his German accent seeming out of place in the CIA.

CIA Holding facility, Present day:

"German accent, mustache, shite haircut. Must be a national requirement for you lot hey." Blue smirked as he was punched in the face.

"Where is Samantha Maxis?"

"Who the fuck are you, Perseus? Omega?" Blue said as he already knew the answer, he just wanted to prove that he could make them talk while they couldn't make him.

"Director of Requiem, Edward Richtofen."

"Well...that clears that up. Why do you of all people want my mother?" Blue said as he looked Edward dead in the eyes, his gaze piercing Edwards soul.

"Where is your mother?"

"You served in an alternate version of the world wars where there were zombies involved, you were a German scientist, I know that you have multiple versions of yourself and that one of them destroyed the earth by firing nukes from the moon. I know that you traveled with US marine Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski of the red army and Takeo Masaki of the Imperial Japanese Army. I know that one by one you killed the evil versions of yourselves. I know all this yet I'm not scared by you so don't insult me by trying to intimidate me, you know who I am, it doesn't work." Blue said coldly as he stared into Edwards eyes.

"You over estimate your ability to resist my methods, for example I could turn you into one of the undead and let you lead us to your mother who will then kill you."

"You really don't get it when my file says that I'm immune to poison, there's a reason they needed special tranquilizers to take me down when they were trying to capture me." Blue said as he glared at a security camera. "Hello Weaver, Emerson Black, Mr Shades volume 1, Volume 2."

Adler was watching the screen smiling as Hudson huffed at the fact that no matter what Blue wasn't breaking.

"Kid's as stubborn as a brick fucking wall." Black said as he lit a cigarette

"What do you expect, Kid's former special forces, former MI6 and trained since birth by the Organization." Adler said as Black whistled in admiration. "I had to brainwash him just to make him talk. A mistake I'm still regretting."

"How are we going to make him talk then, we found out last time that Helen Park was the only way we made progress on the procedure, I doubt she'll get involved with it hell she's probably interfere with the operation." Hudson said as he saw Blue smiling while Richtofen began to make threats towards Park.

"You are as clueless as one of the zombies you fought. You've made three mistakes in the past 24 hours. One, you kept me in the same place for more than an hour. Two you threatened my mother. Third, worst of all, you just threatened my wife. Two things are gonna happen in the next 90 seconds. One, I'll be out of this place and on vanishing into thin air, two, you're gonna be wearing these cuffs with a broken jaw."

"Is that so? Well, that is an amazing prediction, false as it it-" He was cut off by Blue ripping the handcuffs from the table and removing them, within the blink of an eye he felt his jaw break from it making contact with the edge of the table, the handcuffs were on his wrist and Blue was shutting the door. Guards were deployed to stop Blue, who had already hidden in a shadow and waited for them to rush past, waiting a few seconds for the man who lagged behind to pass before he walked down the corridor. Adler was smiling as he watched the entire base light up trying to find Blue, who had managed in the meantime to take a guards uniform and disguise himself, hiding his clothes in a backpack. he grabbed an assault rifle to further blend in as a guard before leaving the car park and getting into Hudson's personal car, hot-wiring it and driving off, disappearing off the CIA facility grounds without a trace.

"Where the fuck did he go?" Black said as Adler began to laugh.

"Is there something you wish to share Agent Adler?" Hudson asked sternly.

"You people don't get it do you, he's not going anywhere in particular, he's going to disappear of the face of the earth because that's what he was taught to do, he knows how to blend in with any environment, we're talking about the same person who at the age of 21 broke into the Lubyanka building, broke into a restricted bunker underneath the building, stole a list of Russian sleeper agents and then escaped, the same kid who managed to infiltrate a super spy training program and destroy it at the age of 23, he stopped the world from nuking itself by disabling every nuke in the world momentarily and he managed to stop Linda Maxis, do you honestly think that even if we put every resource into finding him we would. You don't find this kid, not unless he wants to be found, and if he wants you to find him...be very fucking afraid." Adler said as he took a puff from the cigarette.

"What are you suggesting Adler?"

"I'm suggesting that we should this once disobey the directors orders and let Maxis go, turning her against us will only make her more dangerous where as if we don't piss them off and leave them alone they'll continue to keep the peace for us." Adler said calmly as he sat down.

"You've grown too close to that kid, listen to yourself-"

"My hearing is fine Hudson, but your thinking is not, you only see him as 'Bell'. You see him as someone you own, but you've misunderstood the very meaning of his existence. Religions around the world believe in the concept of balance, yin and yang for example. The world has evil that could wipe us off the face of the earth, on the flip side of that, the world also has Blue, hell if I didn't know better I'd say he was not human, he proved it before when we needed special tranquilizer darts just to KO him, the point gentlemen is that you keep looking for someone like the devil. Blue got a nickname in the military, 'Diablous'."

"Latin for 'The Devil'." Weaver said as Adler nodded.

"Blue wasn't called that because he was Satan, he was called that because he was the one you would send to kill Satan, he was skilled enough at one point when we worked together that he managed to survive two explosions, a 20 ft drop off a fucking roof and then still fight his way out of a city trying to kill him all while breaking through the brainwashing." Adler said, Black and Hudson afraid. Adler was one of their best agents and if he was warning against trying to get to Blue then they should have took the warning with extreme caution.

"You've made your point Adler-"

"No I haven't my point is that this kid is a force of nature, like the wind or the sea, he can't be stopped, so imagine how he'll be when we kidnap him from his pregnant wife and threaten her. You want my advice...put as much distance between the director and us as possible, because The Director just made Blue's shit-list." Adler said as he stomped out the cigarette, leaving the room, Hudson and Black were concerned, weaver knew Blue and knew that every single word Adler had said was true, deciding to put as much distance between him and the director, who was still handcuffed to the table injured. Adler phoned Blue's mobile.

"Who is it?"

"Hey kid, I'm sorry, I really tried to stop them, I did, but they think you mom is a threat, Emerson and Hudson are gonna try and hunt you down, just do me a favor when you try and save your mom, help her stop what's coming, she discovered something in Berlin, something that had the brass scared, should be right up your alley." Adler said as Blue was silent. "You there Blue?"

"Yeah, meet me at 219 West 47th Street,New York City, come alone or I will kill you and whoever your with." Blue said over the phone before hanging up the phone, smashing it when he was finished with it.

Four and a half hours had passed, Blue was hiding in a car park with a burger, he had a small screen showing him the cctv footage, he was keeping an eye out for Adler. When he spotted Adler, alone, he got out of the car he was hiding in and went down to the street level to meet him.

"Inside the building with me, now." Blue said as he walked past Adler keeping his face towards the floor, the two of them moved with crowds, blending in and entering the building.

"Kid, what is this place?"

"S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters, they're helping me with an issue that has arisen, or more accurately, I'm helping them fix a mistake on their side. Stick close to me or they'll think you're an intruder." Blue said as he readied his ID, showing it to the scanner before inputting a code to allow Adler past.

"Why do you need me, these people seem to have everything you'll need."

"Yeah, apart from people I've worked with and trust, one of which is you. Rest of the team is on their way, the CIA wanting my mother and Lovanya escaping seemed too conveniently time for me to accept, I dug deeper and found that Richtofen helped her escape so that she would catch Samantha, He has a personal grudge with my mother and I'll be damned if he hurts her because of it." Blue said as he handed Adler a file before hearing something over his earpiece. "If you'll excuse me I need to go to the medical wing, you'll be shown to your quarters."

Blue rushed to the medical wing where Park had begun to have the baby, Blue arrived and immediately held her hand, or more accurately she crushed his hand.

"Ma'am we need you to tell us your name." a medical officer said with a clipboard.

"Fuck off!" Park Screamed in agony.

"Doctor for Mrs Fuckoff-"

"Not another bloody word Blue!" Helen growled as she glared at Blue. She let out a blood curdling scream as Blue hand went a strange color from how tight she was squeezing it.

"Br-"

"I swear if you tell me to breath slowly I'm going to shove the doctors clipboard down your throat!" Park said as she let out another scream, the then the room fell silent apart from the sound of a babies screams.

"What's his name?"

"David, David Maxis." Park said as she was handed the baby. Blue looked in shock.

"We're giving him my last name?" Blue said as he smiled, stroking the baby.

"Why not? You're the boy's father."

"I know, just feels weird having a last name." Blue said calmly as he laughed with joy at the baby.

"Blue, I want you to promise me one thing for when you go back on duty, this is the last time you go." Park said as Blue looked at her knowing what Park meant.

"I promise, when we're finished we can go to any reality you want, away from all of this and we can live peacefully. I'm not going to be like my Biological father, I'm never going to abandon my family, ever." Blue said as he brushed Parks cheek with his thumb.

"Then what are you waiting for, send that woman to hell, no more mercy." Park ordered as Blue nodded, standing up and leaving the theater, walking straight to the elevator and pressing the button for the command center of operations, he was welcomed by fury and one of his top agents, Coulson.

Coulson was an average man with a simple suit and a face that screamed 'news reader!' to Blue. that was good, Blue needed people who could blend in with crowds and have no distinguishable features about them.

"Nick, Phil, the rest of my team are on their way, Adler's getting the tour. By the way I appreciate the help with all this, giving us a place to work till we get back up and running." Blue said as he looked at an evidence board. "well Adler will be pleased, he loves these little arts and crafts boards." Blue said as they hear the elevator open and Blue seen a familiar face.

"Blue?!" a woman's voice said, her dirty blonde hair reaching just past her shoulders, her hazel eyes filled with recognition.

"We believe you've already met agent Blovinka."

"I believe last I heard she was dead." Blue said as he looked at her with a look of confusion.

"She was captured, she escaped and when she heard about your people going missing she came to us to offer help in return for a chance at helping you, that was months ago, now she's one of our top field operatives."

"Fuck me. You managed to escape Linda?" Blue said as Blovinka smiled.

"You're one to talk, you and Park managed to kill her." Blovinka smiled as she noticed the ring on Blue's finger. "congratulations, Helen?"

"Yeah, last September." Blue said as Blovinka laughed.

"Come here you old bastard!" She said as she embraced Blue. "I've missed you, y'know."

"Evidently, new job...sorta, my guess is a new set of accommodations and new cover identities." Blue said smartly as they broke the embrace.

"still sticking to the smartass comments."

"You know me well enough that that shouldn't come as a shock." Blue said as he heard the elevator door ping. He turned to see Park carrying David in her arms "C'mon, let's get to finding Lovanya and getting the CIA off my mother."

"Why are they looking for your mother?"

"Long story." Blue said dodging the topic as he approached the war table with a cutting edge heads ups display, a hologram of a world map, red dots were appearing all over it. Screens were showing displays of uprisings in Angola, wars breaking out in Afghanistan, conflict resurfacing in Ireland.

"How are all these things happening at once?" Park said as she gave Blue a peck on the cheek.

"We don't know but they all have one thing in common, this insignia." Blovinka said as Blue and Park recognized it immediately.

"The underground collective, they're working with Lovanya." Park said as Adler walked into the room.

"Working with Stitch too, he's been leading them into these fights for some time." Adler said as Blue looked at the screen.

"Any thoughts, sir?" Blovinka asked Blue as he looked at the emblem.

"We need a bigger team, time I told everyone of them something."

"What's that?" Adler said as Blue went to walk away.

"The truth." Blue said as he left the war room, heading to his and Park's quarters. Waiting for him on the bed was a case full of equipment, he opened it and slammed it shut again seeing what was inside it. "Fucking hell...in for a bloody penny."
