Bonded By Love-Ch 10
The next morning everybody was sitting at the table enjoying breakfast when Paytons cell started ringing, they watched as he pulled it from his belt. He said, "hello" and then smiled and said, "okay, we'll be there in a few minutes" and then looked up at a very captive and worried audience.
Patrick said, "was something wrong"?, Payton shook his head and said, "no that was Maggie and she wanted to let us know that P can have visitors now", Derek smiled and said, "I bet she's happy to know that she can have visitors now" and Payton said, "I bet she is".
A few minutes later the brothers and Derek were loaded up in Paytons SUV and headed to the hospital to see a very anxious and happy Penelope. When they got to the hospital Derek said, "maybe I should have waited and let you four see your sister first".
Paul said, "don't be silly, she waiting to see you just as much as she is us", Peter said, "he's right, you promised that you'd come visit and I bet she's been looking forward to that". Derek grinned and said, "I have to say that I have been looking forward to seeing her since the last time I saw her" and the four brothers were all grinning as they walked through the door of the hospital.
As they walked down the hall Derek couldn't help but grin, he couldn't wait to see Penelope, it was true that he had just met her but he felt so drawn to her. He had never been drawn to a woman like he was to her, it was almost like a destined pull, a pull that was meant to be.
Penelope looked around and smiled as she watched her brothers walk into the room, Payton said, "well look at you, don't you look beautiful today"?, Penelope said, "thanks Pay, I have to admit that I do feel a lot better and I can't wait to get out of here and get back home".
Patrick said, "and we can't wait to get you home either" and Penelope grinned and said, "so how are things going at home"?, Peter grinned and said, "they are going great, just ask Derek". Her eyes fell on Derek and she said, "how are you feeling"?, he said, "good, a little sore but I'm doing great and I can't tell you how happy I am to know that you are doing so much better".
She said, "thank you and I'm so glad that you're doing good too and I want to thank you again for everything you've done to help me, I don't know what I would have done without you". Derek walked closer and said, "you are very welcome, I'm just glad that I could help you Penelope" and she grinned at him and blushed as he returned her smile.
Payton put her food on her table and slid if over her and said, "Fran sent this to you", Penelope opened it and said, "chocolate chip muffins", Derek nodded his head and said, "homemade chocolate chip muffins, she made them fresh this morning" and Penelope took a bite and said, "this is amazeballs" and Derek said, "I'll be sure to tell her".
Patrick said, "we're going to step out and give the two of you a little time to talk alone" and Penelope said, "thanks guys, I love you so much and I want to thank you for always being here for me". Payton said, "that's what family is for P, we love you and we always always will", she then watched as her four brothers turned around and walked out of the room leaving behind a smiling Derek Morgan.
