"Where is she kid?" Hudson said as he pointed the gun at Blue who stood there unflinching, his nerves of steel showing on his face as he simply stared at Hudson.

"Put the gun down Jason, this is embarrassing." Blue said calmly as he exhaled in frustration.

"Sure, once you tell me where Maxis is." Hudson said from behind his aviators. one of the agents got too close for their own good, they tried to grab Blue only to be thrown to the floor, kicked in the face and then in the groin. "Tell us kid or I swear to god I'm gonna shoot you!"

"Well...why wouldn't you, you've been trying to off me since '81. What's stopping you?! you know I'm never telling you." Blue laughed as Hudson's allies moved in on Blue, he disarmed them and knocked them out before using their gun handle to knock the pistol from a shocked Hudson's hands. "Hudson let me be clear, nobody in the CIA is going to touch my mother and live, if you think about weaponizing my families abilities I'll find you and put two bullets in your skull, understood?"

Blues eyes were ice cold, piercing through Hudson's shades. His finger hovering over the trigger before dismantling the gun and leaving, he heard Hudson run up behind him, before Jason could react Blue had spun on his heel and grabbed the incoming punch, following it up by dislocating Hudson's elbow and then his jaw.

"Last warning, stop trying to find my mother." Blue said pressing his foot on Hudson's throat.

Blue walked away, heading to his safe house in Toussaint, he arrived an hour later to see Maxis stood aiming at the door, her groza rifle pointed right at Blue.

"Blue?! I could have blown your brains out!" Maxis sighed as she rested the rifle down.

"Nice to see you too mother, pack your bags, we need to move, I've found us a safe place for now. It'll give you time time meet your grandson." Blue said as he helped Maxis pack her things away. Price emerged from the other room. "CIA have your voice on a modulator. They tried to ambush me but...let's just say Hudson won't be talking for some time. Now the two of you go...now! I'll lead them away just go through the portal, I'll meet you later."

Price and Maxis ran through the portal with their belongings while Blue opened a window and climbed out of it, scaling the building onto the roof, the CIA agents began to open fire and give chase to him as he leapt from rooftop to rooftop, using chimneys as cover when gunfire broke out. Blue was mid sprint when a roof tile gave way and caused him to nearly slip, he was grazed on the leg by a bullet as he went to jump to another roof tops, causing him to barely make the jump, struggling to climb back onto the roof he was cornered unless he could think of something. He shimmied along the roof top until he reached a window, using momentum to swing through the window and into the house.

"Sorry about the disturbance, window inspection for health and safety." Blue said as he ran past the houses occupant, down the stairs and out the back door. He sprinted through the back alleys, bullets bursting into the brick behind him as the CIA still pursued him through the streets. "Do the pricks ever give up?!"

Blue managed to cut through a shop and onto the main street, grabbing a hat and a mask before hiding among a crowd, blending in as the agents ran past him. he crept into another back alley and opened a portal to Shield HQ.

S.H.I.E.L.D HQ:

Blue appeared in the control room, where Park was overseeing the ongoing operation at the gala. He looked over to Helen to see her handing David to Maxis. Yennefer, Geralt and Ciri were there also, looking at the baby.

"Ciri, meet your new nephew, David." Blue said as he smiled at his child.

"He's so cute, looks just like you." Ciri said mockingly as Blue stuck his tongue out childishly, David done the same. "see-"

"Alright you made your point." Blue said looking up at the sky.

"Blue?" Ciri said in a confused tone.

"Wasn't talking to you, I was talking to God." Blue said noticing the timing of the baby pulling tongues at Ciri. Ciri and Park started laughing at him as he sighed.

Blue's face was red as he looked at a screen showing the layout of the gala. Park was holding David while Blue helped to co ordinate the mission.

Blue spotted a van pulling up outside the gala on the hologram of the layout.

"We've got a van pulling up outside, await updates." Blue said calmly as tried to keep an eye on the group getting out of the van. "They're hostiles, you've been made, bug out now!"

"Negative sir." Portnova said over the radio.

"Yirina, there are enemy troops moving in on your position. Get. Out!" Blue ordered, the next sound was the sound of Portnova removing her earpiece. "Bloody hell! Adler do you read me?"

"Shit! Yeah! Hostiles just breached the front entrance."

"get everyone out of there. Now. I'm sending in backup." Blue said as he radioed Woods and Mason.

The backup moved in with precision taking out the hostile force, wiping the enemy soldiers out in seconds.

"I've got the location, she's hiding at a location in...Toussaint. just outside some place called Tesham Mutna." Blovinka said as Blue remembered the place.

"Blovinka get out of there!" Blue said as he walked up to a locked and pulled out his sketched map of Toussaint.

"Blue, what's so important about this place?" Park said as she approached Blue.

"I want word put out, no one goes near Tesham Mutna." Blue said, his manner was serious and beginning to concern the team that hear him.

"Blue, talk to me-"

"It's a place I should have flattened years ago. she's going to use that place to destroy us."

"What are you talking about?"

"Last time I was there the enemy flooded the place with a drug that alters perception, causes you to hallucinate, sends you into a violent frenzy then kills you. My mutations protected me from death, but the rest of the symptoms, let's just say they're less than desirable." Blue said as he remembered what had happened when he was sixteen.

"Blue, if what you say is true then you can't go back, you said yourself, last time nearly killed you, how do you know you won't die this time?"

"I don't, but I'm the one with the best chance at making it through that place, I have to go, alone. Gas masks don't help against it." Blue said as he loaded his colt and strapped it to his thigh, he grabbed something from the locker and attached it to his belt he grabbed his XM4 from the locker and put on his combat equipment including a combat vest and a pair of knee-pads.

"Blue...I love you." Park said warmly as Blue blushed.

"I know."

Blue headed down to the hanger where he was intercepted by Maxis.

"Mother, what do you want?" Blue said calmly as he turned to face her.

"I'm coming with you, if you want to win then you'll need someone watching your back. I can withstand the drugs, don't worry about it, just make sure this woman dies." Maxis said as a flash of violet colored light came from her eyes.

"Sure." Blue said as he raised an eyebrow, his voice filled with concern. He was unsure if Maxis was telling the truth about withstanding the drugs, but the deepest concern he had was about Maxis' eyes flashing when she asked him to kill Lovanya. Park noticed the change in his mood when she visited him in the hangar, David was in her arms.

"Are you alright? you seem...out there." Park asked as Blue grunted, fixing the helicopter he and Maxis were using for the upcoming mission.

"Yeah, just...probably nothing, doesn't matter." Blue said, this time it was Park raising her eyebrow. "Something just feels off about my mother, she seems different, like she's possessed. Ironic considering what she's been through i know but, I don't know, something just doesn't sit right, and it's not the food from the mess hall."

"Then it's a good thing you'll be there to keep an eye on her." Park said a David began to cry slightly. "I think he wants his father."

Park handed the baby to Blue.

"Hello, look, your Dad's going to be leaving soon and Mum tends to get all worried, so I need you to protect her, alright." Blue said as he rocked the baby to sleep.

"Oh, you're going to be so sorry for that one...husband."

"I know, can you keep an eye out for anything going on in Toussaint while I'm out there. I can't help but feel the choosing of a location in Toussaint is less than a coincidence." Blue said as he gently handed the baby back to Helen before he checked his watch.

"You think they're going to try and use her against you?"

"More than likely, if they do I want Price, Adler and Blovinka on it, you spot anything about to happen, send them in." Blue said as he smiled to Park.

"Of course. I'll see you when you get back." Park said as she kissed Blue. He signaled Maxis that it was time to leave. As Blue got into the pilot seat he done some flight checks and started the engines up. The chopper took off and flew out of the hanger he opened a portal to Toussaint, he soared across the skies of Toussaint.

"Okay, we're just three miles out! Get ready." Blue said through the chopper headphones system.

"Rules of engagement?"

"Shoot to kill, no more second chances." Blue said as he continued his flight to the old ruins. The helicopter landed and upon touch down Maxis jumped from the chopper and stormed on ahead, while Blue grabbed his rifle from the chopper he heard distant gunshots, echo through the ruins, he moved through the dungeons of Tesham Mutna swiftly in an attempt to catch up to his mother, narrowly avoiding a bullet from a surviving attacker. As he entered the largest room he noticed his mother was caught in the cage meant to hold vampires.

"Wrong person in that cage Lovanya! I'm still standing." Blue said as he looked around for any more hostiles. The room glowed a familiar red tint, Blue slowly turned to see Lovanya wielding a lightsaber, she somehow managed to gain his ability. Blue drew the old lightsaber that belonged to him when he was young, the blue beam extended from the hilt as Blue held it like he would his witcher sword. "You think just cause you know how to wield a lightsaber means you can beat me?"

Lovanya launched herself at Blue, who was too fast and managed to dodge the attack before using Aard to send her back across the room. This time it was Blue who launched them self at Lovanya, their blades clashing as he tried to attack slowly the glow from their blades was over powered by a violet light from above them, the two looked up in amazement as Maxis had been consumed by the violet light, Blue took the opportunity to stab Lovanya with the saber before decapitating her, Blue threw his lightsaber at the chain suspending his mother from the ceiling, the cage containing her crashed to the floor, Blue cut the lock off and opened the door, a shockwave emitted from Maxis, sending Blue flying across the room and causing him to drop his lightsaber to the floor.

"Mum?" Blue muttered to himself as Samantha picked up Blue's saber, attaching it to her belt before drawing her Katana.

"Your mother is not the one in control now, I am!" a low demonic voice said as Samantha approached Blue.

She attacked him with the same ferocity as Lovanya, a detail Blue picked up on, remembering Lovanya's attack patterns. His mind putting the pieces together.

"It's a fucking vision. You're Lovanya, my mother's still in a cage." Blue muttered to himself as he attacked, no longer holding back. He used a combination of attacks to throw off Lovanya before using axii to disorientate her and followed it up with a heavy strike, knocking the saber from Lovanya's hands, before she could react Blue had stabbed her in the stomach with his lightsaber before drawing his pistol and shooting her in the head twice. As Lovanya's lifeless body slumped to the floor Blue freed his mother, this time for real, as they went to leave he heard the demonic voice over his shoulder, he turned to see a bolt of purple energy flying through the air at him, before it hit him however Samantha jumped in the way of it, she fell to the floor as the entity fled the room through a portal. "Mum!"

Blue held his Mother in his arms as the energy that hit her appeared to be infecting her with something.

"Mum, just hold on I'm getting us out of here." Blue sobbed helplessly as he carried Maxis up to surface level and over to the chopper, taking off and immediately using his ability to transport them to the hangar at SHIELD HQ. "Medic! Get me a medic!"

a team of medics ran over to help.

"Sir, give us space!" a medic ordered as they carried her off to the infirmary, Park ran into the hangar to see Blue with a look that could wipe nations out.

"Blue? What happened?"

"Mum's been hit by something, Park whatever it was it was related to the ather.

"Okay, let's just get you back to your quarters and calm, we can take it from there." Park said leading Blue to their quarters and sitting him down.

"Park...I can't lose her, not again." Blue said as he poured himself a drink. "It's my fault, the thing was meant to hit me and I just wasn't fast enough so she jumped in the way."

"Perhaps she knew that you stood a better chance at stopping whatever it was."

"Trouble is I know nothing other than this thing is possibly related to the ather, even then it's a slim chance." Blue said as he gulped the whiskey down in one go.

They were interrupted by a knock on the door, when Blue opened it he was faced with the sight of his brother.

"Damien." Blue said coldly.

"Blue, Helen. You said it was urgent."

"Yeah, mum's been hit, she's being treated right now." Blue said dispassionately. "Whatever hit her looked to be related to the ather."

"I'll start looking into it, what did it look like?"

"Like some sort of ghost, made of ather energy, it had a demonic sounding voice. from what I caught of it before it done one, that's the best I can do."

"It's something, keep an eye on mum for me while I'm looking into it."

"Yeah, I'll be sure to do that." Blue said as he slammed the door shut.

"have you two had an argument or something?"

"it's nothing, we'll get over it." Blue answered as he sat down an wrote in his diary. He sketched a small picture of what he saw before writing the entry down on the page. When he was finished he joined Helen in bed.

'Bell, I can't reach my harness!' Park said as she tried to reach her harness.

'Lazar, take care of her.' Blue said helping his brother in arms after secretly attaching Park to the line.

'Noooooo!' Parks voice screamed as she was pulled away with Lazar by the skyhook.

'we got a job to do!'

'It was never personal. *gunshot*'

'Blue, I never loved you, it was just to keep you in line for the mission.' Parks voice said as she shot him instead of it being Adler who tried to kill him.

'You failed so many times, sometime I wonder if you even should have been born!' Maxis' voice echoed.

Blue shot awake in his bed, cold sweat causing his clothes to stick to his body as he sat up on the edge of the bed Park opened put her hand on his shoulder.

"want to talk about it?" Park asked as Blue shook his head.

"No." Blue said as he walked over to his desk drawer and pulled out a photo, it was of him and the team when he was Bell, part of the illusion to make him believe he was one of them.

Park was silent, seeing Blue reminisce on his past.

"Park, this thing that I fought today."

"What of it?"

"I need your honest opinion, no matter if it hurts me. Do you think I can stop it?" Blue said as he looked over to the witcher swords he'd been in possession of since he was a child.

"I've learnt that there's always some ray of hope if you put your mind to it, guess who taught me that. You, thank of what we've been through, no matter what you've always outdone the odds, surviving being shot by Adler and then getting back on your feet ready to keep fighting on the same side as the man who shot you, not many people I've ever known share your determination and the skill to back the determination up, take your first mission when you joined MI6 in '77. You had just been sacked for doing your job and you got up and carried on serving your country anyway, you were framed for crimes you didn't do, instead of accepting it and trying to just prove it wasn't you, you hunted those responsible and brought them to justice stopping an international crisis in the process. My point is Blue, put anyone else through what you've been through and they would curl into a ball and break down, you haven't, so to answer your question, yes, there's some hope you can stop this thing." Park said as she grabbed Blue's hand. "I know what you're planning so take this with you."

Park handed Blue her old scarf, the same one she gave him before Solovetsky.

"Go...go and make sure that thing is no longer a threat, this Ather is meant to be full of Nazi Zombies, so go evil dead on their arses." Park said as Blue smirked.

"You know your pop-culture taste is one of the many things I love about you." Blue said as he extended his arm and the sheathed swords flew to his hand. He strapped them to his back and his pistol to his thigh he piched up a spas-12 shotgun and loaded it with explosive rounds, also picking up his XM4 as a few grenades.

"Oh I know. Now remember, come back alive, I don't do bits and pieces." Park said as she pulled Blue into a kiss.

"I promise, I love y-"

"I know darling, now go, I'll be waiting for you." Park said as Blue smiled and walked out the door he walked through the corridors, everyone was applauding him as he walked through the corridors Adler and Maxis were waiting, Maxis was in a poor state however, her face was pale from blood loss.

"Blue if you go in there, there's a chance that you may never return, that creature is more powerful than anything, even if you come back you may not be the same person as you are now." Maxis said as Blue looked to Adler.

"Hey, I'm just the guy helping her around." Adler said putting his hands up.

"Mother, you know as well as I do that this is the best chance we have, please, trust me. Open it up." Blue said in response as he clicked his neck and plugged his headphones into his Walkman, pressing play for 'Don't stop me now by Queen' to start playing as he jumped through the portal, drawing his XM4 and landing, already hearing the undead screams, he turned to shoot the zombie in the head. The sky was violet like Maxis' eyes and it was filled with strange occurrences, rocks were floating, portals had opened all around the area. wiping out wave after wave of zombies, not even breaking a sweat as he cleared out hordes, he was fighting his way through the Ather, his shots hitting every target he was aiming for, eventually running out of ammo on his XM4 he slung it over his back and drew his shotgun, gunning down another wave of zombies as he fought to reach the center of the Ather. as he moved into the room he noticed it was conducting power to the entire area, at the center of the room was a machine, before he could inspect it he was thrown across the room by the creature, it was the specter from Tesham Mutna. The sudden attack sent the shotgun flying from Blues hand and through a small window barriered up.

"You've come to die?"

"No, but you have arse wipe!" Blue grunted to himself as he jumped back to his feet and drew a knife, charging at the specter only to be frozen by its powers. As he stood there helpless a beam hit Blue and he felt a strange sensation through his body.

"No need to worry, I'm simply stripping your familial ability from you, permanently." The specter said as Blue pushed as hard as he could to try and keep moving, the beam retracted and Blue fell to the floor, blood dripping from his nose. The specter picked him up and slammed him into the floor, about to repeat it before Blue used another knife in his boot to stab through the specters arm, proceeding to cut its arm off. As Blue fell to the floor he looked up to see the specter regrowing the arm.

"That's from my mother, that familial enough?" Blue said as he went to stab the specter in the thigh, his hand however was grabbed and twisted until the knife fell from Blue's grasp.

"You can't destroy me, your Mother tried, she failed and nearly died, when you though you were hallucinating her in the ruins before, that...was real, at least the ability was, I've been watching how you fight for years through the eyes of your mother, when I'm finished with you, She'll be too heartbroken to stop me and the rest of your pathetic group of friends will be too terrified of what I unleash on your worlds to react. Don't worry though Blue...you're son will be safe...with me." The specter said as it beat Blue to a bloody pulp. As the specter left and began to charge up the power source, Blue crawled over to the stairs and used them to climb to his feet. Checking his pistol to see it had been melted by the energy from the specter, he tossed the pistol to his side and approached the specter.

"You may be some deity or whatever the fuck you are, but I've got a challenge for you, if you manage it I'll be impressed."

"What is it?"

"Grow back from this you son of a bitch!" Blue said stuffing his grenade into the specters stomach and leaping for cover. The creature exploded in six separate directions.

As Blue caught his breath he noticed the generator emitting energy into the pieces of the specter that survived. Those pieces a new specter formed, now he had to fight six of them.

"Okay, I am officially impressed." Blue quipped as he noticed that part of the generator was damaged and that the specter closest to the damage was flickering like it was a broken screen.

"You're special Bell" Parks voice echoed in Blue's head as he took a fighting stance.

Blue charged at the closest specter and punched it in the diaphragm before headbutting it, he grabbed its head and snapped its neck before throwing his last grenade at one side of the generator. the explosion of half of the generator caused half of the specters to disappear.

"Now I know how to kill you." Blue said as he sprinted at the nearest enemy and roundhouse kicked them in the throat following up with a neck snap to stun the enemy for a short time. before he could react he was launched across the room, hitting his head on a railing, as he saw double he noticed the specters approaching him and readying for an attack, Blue dodged in the nick of time and drew his witcher sword stabbing two attackers before being disarmed by the still fighting specter while it's allies recovered, Blue backed up the stairs and next to the row of computers that were operational, the specter following him as it tried desperately to kill Blue.

"Time to pay for all this trouble with your life!" The specter said.

Blue stopped the incoming attack and grabbed the specter by what physical presence it had.

"Time to pay you electricity bills!" Blue quipped as he threw the creature into the working generator, he heard the generator begin to make noises that were a clear indication he should leave. Blue grabbed his pistol and sword before sprinting out of the facility, realizing he no longer possessed the ability to travel between realities he looked around at the Zombies swarming his position.

His heart dropped as he realized he was never going to get home.

"...Fuck." Blue sighed, behind him a portal opened and a hand dragged him through it as he went unconscious.
