Bonded By Love-Ch 13
As Derek sat looking into the beautiful eyes of Penelope he sighed and said, "I'm going to miss you", Penelope smiled and said, "and I you hotstuff, and I you". He intertwined their fingers and said, "but we'll talk on the phone and text and when you get to go home we can skype all of the time, well that is until you are able to move to Virginia".
Penelope said, "I can hardly wait for that to happen, I can't wait to move to Virginia so that I can be closer to you", Derek grinned at her and said, "I can't wait for you to be closer to me too". She bit down on her bottom lip and said, "I'll need to find me an apartment", Derek nodded his head in agreement and gently squeezed her hand.
She blew out a deep breath and said, "once I get out of here I'll have plenty of time to look up places on the computer, so by the time I get to see you the next time my place should already been taken care of". Derek said, "sounds good sweetness and I'll help you move everything in, that is if that's okay with you"?, Penelope said, "of course that's okay with me angel fish" causing the smile on his lips to be even bigger.
Derek said, "baby girl, are they still gonna let you go home at the end of the week"?, she said, "they are suppose to, that is if I keep doing as good as I am now". Derek momentarily frowned and said, "of course you're going to be still doing good, you're making amazing progress and nothing is going to change that" causing her to giggle and say, "whatever you say hotstuff, whatever you say".
They sat laughing and talking for a few minutes before he said, "I guess I better get going, the others are waiting for me down the hall in the waiting room". Penelope said, "please thank them all again for me", Derek said, "of course I will and I'll call you once we get home to check on you".
Penelope said, "safe travels handsome", he smiled and said, "I'm going to miss you so much", Penelope said, "I'm going to miss you more", he shook his head and said, "not possible".. He then cupped the side of her face and said, "you are so beautiful, I hate that I have to leave today, their is nothing more I want than to spend more time here with you".
Penelope smiled and said, "I want that too but you need to go home and rest a little more before you go back to work next week, I'll be fine here, I promise". Derek leaned in closer and said, "I really want to kiss you right now", she bit down on her bottom lip and said, "I want that too Derek".
Seconds later his lips descended on hers, the second their lips touched it was like their body was covered with some kind of electricity and it consumed their bodies all the way down to their toes. Derek slowly deepened the kiss by sliding his tongue inside her mouth.
Penelope reached up and cupped his face in her hands earning a moan of approval from Derek, they pulled apart breathlessly a few seconds later blushing. Derek said, "I'm sorry, I guess I got carried away there" and she said, "don't be sorry because I'm not, not at all".
Derek said, "well I better go before they send a search party back looking for me", she grinned and said, "safe travels and I'll miss you Derek", he stood up and grinned. He then leaned back down and said, "one more for the road" as his lips quickly found hers again.
The kiss was soft, gentle and loving and ended far too soon for either of them but as Derek pulled away he said, "I'll call when we land, now you be a good girl". She stuck out her tongue and said, "since when am I not a good girl"?, Derek winked at her and said, "I don't know but I'm gonna love finding out" causing her to blush as he walked over to the door.
Before disappearing out into the hall he turned to face her one more time and said, "I'll see you soon baby girl", she waved and nodded her head and said, "that you will sugar shack, that you will". As he disappeared out of sight they both sighed and hoped that the next several weeks would fly by so they could be with each other again.
