Bonded By Love-Ch 17
The ride to the Rossi estate didn't take long and soon they were walking hand in hand toward the backyard to join the rest of the family. Penelope looked up when she heard Jack and Henry squealing, "aunt P, aunt P", she laughed as she wrapped her arms around the two little boys.
Derek and the others grinned as they watched the trio hug, JJ looked at her husband and said, "they both totally love their aunt P" and Reid nodded his head and said, "I've never seen him take up with somebody so fast before, this is indeed a first".
Dave was talking to Hotch and Emily when he was pulled away from the conversation by his now ringing cell phone, he stood up and walked inside the house to speak in private. He grinned when he saw the name "Payton Garcia" flashing on the ID.
Once inside he said, "hello", Payton said, "good morning Dave, how is everybody doing today"?, Dave said, "we're doing great, everybody is here for brunch". Payton said, "so how is P doing"?, Dave laughed and said, "she's doing great, right now she is outside with the others and being overwhelmed with love from Jack and Henry".
Payton laughed and said, "P loves those two little boys", Dave glanced over his shoulder and said, "and they love her just as much, undoubtedly". Dave stood looking for a few seconds before Payton said, "the reason I called was I have a favor to ask of you", Dave then listened as Payton filled him in on what it was that he needed.
A few minutes later Penelope and the others looked up as Fran said, "alright is everybody ready to eat"?, Derek intertwined fingers with Penelope and said, "come on sweetness, let's eat". Penelope nodded her head as Derek led her over to the tables that were set up in the backyard.
Fran said, "where's Dave"?, Dave walked back outside and said, "here I am Bella, sorry I had something to take care of" and then he winked at his wife as he sat down at the table. As everybody enjoyed a delicious meal that was prepared by Fran and the girls they laughed and spent the early afternoon together as a family.
Henry and Jack were practically glued to Penelopes side, they loved her and didn't want to be apart from her, Derek couldn't help but smile as he saw how attached they were to her. Fran walked over to her son and leaned in and whispered, "they love her almost as much as you do".
He glanced back at her and said, "their is just something about her momma, from the first moment I met her I have been drawn to her, she's special". Fran nodded her head and hugged her son and said, "something tells me that she feels the same way about you Derek".
His attention was then pulled back to Penelope as he heard her laugh, the smile on her face was almost angelic, she looked so so beautiful and that warmed Dereks heart all the more. Sarah and Desi stood watching their brother and Desi said, "something tells me that we're looking at our future sister-in-law" and Sarah said, "I couldn't agree more Des, I couldn't agree more".
A couple of hours later everybody was going their separate ways as they left the Rossi mansion, when everybody was gone Fran said, "so where were you earlier my love"?, Dave said, "ahhhh yes, well I received a call from Payton", Fran said, "was something wrong"?, Dave said, "oh no, nothing like that, he had something he wanted to ask me, he needed a favor".
Fran said, "favor, what kind of favor"?, Dave said, "a surprise for Penelope" and then Fran leaned in and smiled as Dave filled her in on the surprise for a very unsuspecting Penelope.
