Nicola hated debt.
She hated being in debt, whether in finances or favors.
Now here she was, indebted to someone she loathed.
It's true Harry left on her own. It's true her leaving was necessary. But the months away were hell on the family and, as eldest, she felt responsible. That responsibility weighed heavy and there was not. One. Damn. Thing. she could do about it.
O'Malley brought Harry back. Made the family whole again. And put her in his debt as sure as a pub tab.
Indebted to the Witch of Widdershins with a debt she could never repay.
