Bonded By Love-Ch 22
Derek stopped at the store and grabbed some snack food before they continued making their way toward Penelopes apartment, he didn't really care what they ate, the only thing that mattered to him was getting to spend the evening with his baby girl in his arms, he had missed her so much and couldn't wait to be alone with her again.
They were sitting on her couch laughing at the Madea movie, she slid her hand up his thigh and said, "I am having a wonderful evening with you angel fish, thank you so much for coming up with this idea". He grinned down at her and said, "you are very welcome gorgeous, I love being here with you", he wrapped his arms around her and said, "you have no idea how much I missed you"
She leaned in and kissed his lips gently and said, "ohhhh but I do because I missed you just as much", as his lips descended on hers again she practically melted in his arms. Dereks hand made it's way up and down her back as his tongue found it's way into her mouth, they both moaned as he deepened the kiss.
Penelope wrapped her arms around him as she laid back on the couch, as Derek hovered over her he still couldn't believe that they were together. Penelope tugged his shirt from his pants and pulled it over his hand and tossed it behind him on the couch as she pulled him down for another kiss.
Derek smiled against her lips, she was so beautiful, so perfect and all his and he was going to show her just how much she meant to him and how much he loved her. His hand slid up under her dress and was making its way upward and just when he was inches away from paradise their cells went off.
Derek rested his forehead against hers and said, "are you kidding me right now"? as they both reached for their phones, they blew out deep breaths before answering. They looked at each other and said in unison, "on my way" and ended their call, Penelope shook her head and said, "sorry sugar, believe me when I say this isn't how I saw tonight ending".
He kissed her lips passionately and said, "me either and I promise you that I will make this up to you", she winked at him and said, "I can hardly wait handsome" as they got up off of her couch, grabbed their things and made their way out her front door.
A few minutes later they were all in the round table room going over their next case, it was a bad one, they were heading to Arizona to track down an unsub that was a family annihilator. After going over crime scene pictures and giving Penelope her instructions Hotch said, "grab your go bags, we are wheels up in 30", they all nodded their heads yes as they all headed out to grab their things.
Derek and Penelope were alone in the room. he pulled her into his arms and said, "I'll miss you", she kissed his lips and said, "and I'll miss you sugar". He smiled at her and said, "be good and I'll be back soon", she laughed and said, "please be careful and come back safe to me, okay"?, his lips brushed against hers and he said, "always baby girl, always".
It was only a matter of a few minutes before the team was walking onto the elevator, they turned to smile at Penelope, she said, "be careful my team of super heroes". Reid grinned at her and said, "don't worry Garcia, we will" and JJ and Emily grinned at her and gave her a thumbs up and Derek winked at her as the doors closed.
She blew out a deep breath and then turned around and headed back to her lair to start looking up the information for her team.
