Wind whipped Izzy Holt's long, dark hair around as she knelt in the Sailfin's bow, elbows resting on its forward seat. She was flying! Flying! The countryside rushed below her, moving faster than she'd ever experienced, not even on a galloping horse! Clouds still serenely floated above as the Sailfin glided high over the treetops. Fields rolled beneath her like a green patchwork quilt. She shivered with delight! At this speed, they'd reach the island in no time!
Behind her, Henry Barber grinned. He opened the picnic basket, utterly captivated by the infectious glee of the statuesque wizard.
