Bonded By Love-Ch 30
Penelope and her brothers were standing in their spots watching as first Emily and then JJ started making their way up the flower petal path that led to the love of her life, her Derek. She blew out a deep breath and readied herself to lock arms with Payton and Patrick when a wave of nausea and dizziness hit her and hit her hard and as she started swaying Patrick grabbed her and said, "easy sis, are you alright"?, Penelope said, "sorry, just a little dizzy".
Paul said, "didn't you eat anything this morning"?, she shook her head and said, "nope, to nervous but I did have some tea to settle my nervous stomach though and it helped until now, I guess my nerves are working overtime today". Payton said, "do you need me to stop the ceremony for a few minutes"?, she looked up at her brother and shook her head and said, "no, I'll be fine, it's just a little nerves Pay, that's all, I'll be fine once this is over".
Patrick said, "just make sure that you eat something soon okay"?, Penelope smiled and said, "you got it Patrick" as she looped her arms one through Paytons arm and the other through Patricks as they took their spot at the top of the aisle. When the music changed to the bridal march Fran, Dave and the others stood and turned around to watch as the Garcias started making their way up the aisle.
Derek couldn't help but smile as he watched her, she was beautiful, simply beautiful and the way that dress hugged her body perfectly made him inwardly moan in appreciation as she continued to make her way closer. Fran looked at Penelope and could instantly tell that something was off with her, she leaned in and whispered to Dave, "does she look pale to you Dave"?, he said, "now that you mention it, yeah she does".
Sarah said, "she didn't eat anything this morning, all I was able to get down her was some tea", Desi said, "her nerves are working overtime today, I heard her in the bathroom and she was sick". Fran looked at Penelope and then at Derek and smiled as an amazing thought came to her mind, was it true, was she finally getting those beautiful grandbabies she had been promised all of these years.
As the music continued Penelope and her brothers made their way closer and closer to Derek and the others and when they finally made it to the front Payton took the hand he was holding and put it in Dereks and grinned. Derek smiled at Penelope and said, "I love you", she winked at him and said, "and I you angel fish and I you" as they took their places in front of the minister and their family.
The minister smiled as he looked out at the family, he then said, "you may be seated", after everybody took their seats he said, "dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the presence of God and these witnesses to join together in the bonds of holy matrimony Derek Michael Morgan and Penelope Grace Garcia".
As the ceremony continued Penelope felt another wave of dizziness hitting her but she shook it off and turned to face her soon-to-be husband as the minister asked for the rings from JJ and Reid. They placed the rings on his bible and everybody listened as he said a prayer for the happy couple, one asking for peace, joy and love for Derek and Penelope as they continue their lives together.
Soon it was time for the vows and the minister looked at Derek and said, "Derek, take this ring and put it on Penelopes finger and then repeat after me", he took a deep breath and reached for the ring. He slide it on her finger and smiled lovingly at her as he waited for the minister to continue the ceremony and start the vows.
The minister said, "I Derek take you Penelope to be my lawfully wedded wife", Derek said, "I Derek take you Penelope to be my lawfully wedded wife", he felt his heart racing as he waited to continue. Next he heard, "I promise to love, honor and cherish you in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer as long as we both shall live".
Derek said, "I promise to love, honor and cherish you in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer as long as we both shall live", he winked at her causing he to smile back at him. She then turned to face the minister as he said, "Penelope take this ring and put it on Dereks finger and then repeat after me", she nodded her head and nervously took the ring into her fingers and slid it onto his finger.
The minister then said, "I Penelope take you Derek to be my lawfully wedded husband", she felt her heart racing as she said, "I Penelope, take you Derek to be my lawfully wedded husband". Next she heard, "I promise to love honor and cherish you in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer as long as we both shall live".
Penelope said, "I promise to love, honor and cherish you in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer as long as we both shall live", she then gently squeezed his hand and smiled lovingly into his eyes. The minister said, "who gives this woman to this man in matrimony today"?, her brothers stood up and said, "we do" in unison" and then took their seats again as they waited for the ceremony to continue.
The minister looked around and said, "if their is anybody here that can show just cause why these two can't be lawfully joined, let them speak now or forever hold their peace" and after a few seconds he smiled and readied to continue. He next said, "by the powers vested in me by this state, I now pronounce you husband and wife", he grinned at Derek and said, "Derek, you may kiss your bride".
Derek cupped her face in his hands and leaned in and gently pressed his lips against hers, when they pulled apart he said, "I love you Mrs. Morgan", she smiled at him and said, "and I love you Mr. Morgan". As they turned to face their family and friends another wave of dizziness and nausea hit and she said, "Derek I don't feel so go" and before she could finish she collapsed in Dereks arms.
