Epilogue
It wasn't long until the paramedics had Penelope and baby boy Morgan loaded and ready to transport to the hospital, Fran and Payton happily hopped into his car and followed behind the ambulance. Once they arrived at the hospital Penelope and the baby were instantly taken into one of the cubicles where they were surrounded by several doctors and nurses.
Payton and Fran were soon joined by the other three brothers and Sarah and Desi as they waited to get to see Penelope and their newest family member, the little boy that would without a doubt have them wrapped around his finger. After being weighed, measured, bathed and clothed the baby was put into an incubator until the doctors were finished checking on Penelope and getting her ready to go to her room for the night.
When they were finally able to see Penelope the group smiled happily as they walked into her room, she was holding the baby in her arms and looking down at him lovingly and Derek was right beside her on the bed. Fran smiled and said, "so how are you two doing"?, Penelope said, "we're great, thanks to you Fran, thank you so much for everything you did for me, for us". Fran said, "you are very welcome honey, it was a pleasure and honor for me to get to help bring this beautiful child into the world so that I can spoil him rotten".
Frans cell started ringing, she looked down at the ID and said, "it's Dave, he's wanting to video chat with us", Derek and Penelope smiled and nodded their heads yes in agreement as Fran hit the buttons on her phone. Penelope laughed as she saw the faces of her team all smiling at her, everybody shouted their congratulations to the new parents on the birth of their son.
Dave said, 'so how is my grandson"?, Penelope said, "he's wonderful Dave, simply wonderful" as she turned the baby in her arms a little so that everybody could get a better view of him. A few minutes later JJ said, "soooo, don't keep us in suspense any longer, what's his name"?, the proud parents looked at each other and then their family as Derek said, "everybody we would like for you to meet Hank Spencer Morgan".
Spencer smiled and said, "I'm honored that you would name your son after me", Fran said, "your father would be honored to baby boy" and Derek grinned as he touched his sons cheek. He then looked up at everybody and said, "Hank after my pops and Spencer after the best little brother anybody could ever have", everybody smiled and "awwwwwwed" the news as they looked at the new little family.
Penelope couldn't help but smile as she watched her son being passed around to his grandma, aunts and uncles, she knew that without a doubt she was the luckiest woman in the world to have such an amazing family". Derek wrapped his arms around her and she laid her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, she was exhausted, excited to be a mom but totally exhausted.
The BAU family would grow again in 7 months when Spencer and JJ brought another son into the world, a son named Michael, he was the spitting image of his older brother. A couple of years later they would welcome a daughter Tabitha Renea to the family, she was a complete surprised but loved and cherished all the same.
Emily and Hotch welcomed twin sons Zachary and Thomas to the family not long after JJ brought her second son Michael into the world, Zachary was more like Emily and Thomas was like his father. It wasn't long before Sarah, Desi and their now husbands aka Penelopes brothers welcome children into the world.
Sarah and her husband welcomed a daughter named Grace into the world on Hanks 3rd birthday and then two years later they would welcome a son named Stephen to the family. Desi Garcia and her husband welcomed twin daughters Amber and Aria into the world about six months after Sarah brought her son into the world, the family was indeed growing by leaps and bounds.
Derek and Penelope welcomed a daughter named Sophia to the family when Hank was almost 2 1/2 and then twin daughters Hannah and Heather 2 years later so Fran did indeed have plenty of grandchildren to spoil rotten, Payton fell in love with and married a woman that he met at work named Shellie and they now had three children Jazzy and twin sons Phillip and Prentice and they were all still living in Virginia.
As Derek looked around Penelopes hospital room he sighed happily knowing that the people that were in the room and on the phone would do anything to keep their family all safe, happy and healthy. He kissed his wife on the top of the head and whispered, "I love you baby girl, now and forever, now and forever", he then intertwined their fingers and grinned as he watched his sisters as they held Hank.
Derek and Penelopes relationship didn't start out as a normal relationship would but now they were bonded not only by love but by blood and he knew that he would always have somebody to love and always have somebody to love him. As he rested his head against Penelopes he couldn't help but smile, he smiled because he knew that he had been blessed with an amazing family and he knew that they would now and always be where they were and that was by his and Penelopes side.
