Late at night as Alexis is in her room reading she feels something crawling it's way onto her bed and sees it is Brainy.
"Brainy? What are you doing? It's late." Alexis says.
"I know. I couldn't sleep. I miss the other smurfs." Brainy says as he sits down on the bed sheets.
"I'm sorry." Alexis says as she puts her book down.
"It's okay. I mean this place is great. You, Patrick, and Grace are great." Brainy says.
"But it's not the same. Is it?" Alexis asks.
"Yeah. How'd you know?" Brainy asks curiously.
"Let's just say I understand where you're coming from a little more than you might know." Alexis says.
"How?" Brainy asks.
"I'll tell you later. Anyway you're welcome to stay in my room if that helps any." Alexis says kindly.
"It would. Thanks. I enjoy the company. What are you reading?" Brainy asks as he looks at the book.
"Oh. Just a book from my childhood." Alexis says as Brainy goes over to the book.
"Constellations? You read this as a kid?" Brainy asks in surprise.
"Well yeah. I love the stars." Alexis says shyly.
"I didn't know you read. That's one of my favorite things to do. It's kinda how I got my name." Briany says shyly.
"You guys are really into literal naming aren't you?" Alexis asks.
"Yeah. I know my name isn't the best. I'm not exactly the best liked Smurf in Smurf village." Brainy says as he looks down.
"Well I like your name and I think you're really nice Brainy." Alexis says kindly as Brainy looks at her.
"Really?" Brainy asks.
"Yeah... You wanna read with me for a little while? I'm sorry I don't have anything more interesting." Alexis says shyly.
"No it's fine! I would enjoy reading with you. In fact I could tell you some stories from the books I read back home. Even tell you about my home.. if you want me to. Am I talking too much? I feel like I'm talking too much." Brainy says nervously causing Alexis to chuckle.
"No you're fine. I enjoy talking to you. Really. I would love to hear about your home Brainy." Alexis says.
"Well..." Brainy says as he begins talking.
*Timeskip*
"Wow. That sounds amazing." Alexis says as she is laying on her bed with brainy sitting beside her shoulder.
"Yeah. Our home is pretty amazing. It has its down sides but it's amazing. I'm really glad you let me stay with you in your room. The others usually don't let me stay around because I can ramble on and act like a know it all without meaning to. I just want to keep everyone safe." Brainy says as Alexis looks at him.
"There's nothing wrong with that. You're a good person Brainy. Don't let anyone say otherwise." Alexis says.
"You're really nice you know that?" Brainy asks as he blushes slightly.
"I've been told. I'm just glad I got someone to talk to. It can get lonely for me." Alexis says as she blushes.
"I understand that." Brainy says.
"Well Brainy I'm going to go to bed. I'm sure you wanna go back to your family in the other room." Alexis says as she gets under her blankets and lays down.
"Would it be okay if I slept in here? I would feel more comfortable." Brainy says shyly.
"That's fine." Alexis says.
"Thanks." Brainy says as he crawls up to beside Alexis's head and curls up next to her forehead.
"Comfortable?" Alexis asks as she chuckles.
"Uh maybe? I'm sorry I can move-" Brainy then gets cut off by Alexis.
"No it's fine. I like the contact." Alexis says as she smiles before pulling her pillow cover off and placing it on Brainy as a blanket before falling asleep.
