"It's getting dark." Clumsy says as he is sitting in the kitchen with Grace and Alexis.
"Yeah. Yeah I think we'd better go look for them." Grace says.
"Good idea." Alexis says as Patrick comes into the room.
"Hi. Where are the others?" Patrick asks only seeing Clumsy.
"We think they're still at the bookstore." Grace says as she and Alexis stand up.
"Listen Grace I'm... Hey Odile. Listen, listen. Before you fire me I know that the ads that ran weren't the ads I sent. But they're the ads I should have sent. The ads I almost did send. But I didn't 'cause... I second-guessed myself. I gave you what I thought you wanted. Instead of what I thought was right. But this is right. It means something to me and... I don't know I think it's gonna mean something to others too. It's not just a moon Odile it's a blue moon. Once in a blue moon. That means that there are only a few moments in your life when something truly memorable truly magical happens to you. And if you hesitate if you're afraid you might just miss it. That's what that image means. Don't let those blue moon moments pass you by." Patrick says as he finishes talking with Odile on the phone.
"About time you embraced these one in a life moments." Alexis says as she smiles.
"I so smurfin' love you." Grace says as she kisses Patrick before the others smurfs crash land into the room on pigeons.
"Look! We got the incantation." Brainy says as he holds up a paper.
"Where's Papa?" Patrick asks.
"Gargamel's got him." Grouchy says.
"What?" Alexis asks in alarm.
"Oh no." Clumsy says as he runs over.
"He took him to some place called BellVeedaRay Castle." Smurfette says sadly.
"He's gonna..." Grouchy says sadly as Smurfette cries.
"Don't say it." Gutsy says.
"BellVeedaRay. What is BellVeedaRay?" Grace asks.
"Belve... He's taken him to Belvedere Castle in Central Park." Patrick says.
"To extract his essence." Brainy says.
"What? Well we have to go get him." Grace says in shock.
"She's right. We can't leave him." Alexis says.
"No! Gargamel's more powerful than ever." Smurfette says fearfully.
"Papa said no matter what happens we're not to go back for him. He's trying to protect us." Gutsy says.
"No! We can't leave Papa behind." Clumsy says as he climbs onto a chair.
"It was a Smurf promise." Gutsy says.
"No, no, no. We can't." Clumsy says.
"We promised Papa we'd do exactly what he said." Brainy says.
"That's right." Grouchy says.
"Maybe you guys made that promise but we didn't." Alexis says.
"Alexis is right. I didn't either. I never promised him anything." Patrick says as he leaves.
"Neither did I. And there is no way I'm leaving here without Papa." Clumsy says determinedly.
"Patrick wait. I'm coming with you." Grace says as she follows Patrick.
"So am I. I may have lost my family because I was too young to do anything but I won't let that happen to someone else. Especially not when I care for one of the members of that family." Alexis says as she follows Grace before the smurfs come running behind them.
