Astra sighed as she landed on her bed.
Telling her parents about her powers was harder than she thought.
They had been worried and beyond shocked to see what the papers said.
Their twin daughters had terrifyingly powerful powers and it scared them.
Astra curled on her side and looked at the moon through her window.
She smiled as she curled her fingers around the locket around her neck. It held a picture of Stella, Tecna, Aisha, and her taken at Stella's birthday not too long ago.
Stella had gifted each of them with the same locket with the same picture the last time they were all together.
Astra still worried about them because of the past but it wasn't as bad as it used to be.
She knew they could take care of themselves and she could tell that their powers were stronger than they used to be.
They had all changed when everything started again but Astra could feel how their souls were connected. They had been through far too much for them not to be.
As her eyes closed, Astra's last thought was of how she wished to see them again soon.
The next day Astra was woken up and dressed before the grand clock's bell rang eight. She yawned as she made her way to breakfast.
She had a strange dream last night but for the life of her she couldn't remember anything about it.
She sat down and listened as her family talked. She felt as if she was forgetting something important but she didn't know what it was.
When she was finished she smiled as she excused herself and said she had to find a book in the library.
Her parents bought her excuse and let her leave. She walked out of the room and as soon as the door was closed she broke into a run.
She ran until she was inside her room and locked the door behind her. She leaned against it as she caught her breath.
Her eyes began to flicker from gold to cyan. She tried to walk to her bed but her legs gave out and she fell to the floor.
She heard screams and wicked laughter before everything went silent.
Her mouth opened in a silent scream as her eyes glowed a brilliant gold.
She saw Lord Darkar standing in his great palace under the earth.
He was standing before his crystal ball trying to find something as his eyes flashed with great fury.
"What is it?" He asked but there was no one to answer him.
"What is the source of the Dragon Flame?"
"Where is it?!" He shouted as he continued to search for something.
"I have to find it…my plans cannot fail this time around," Darkar said as he glared at his hands.
"Witches!" He shouted before three women appeared before him.
They reminded Astra of the Trix before it clicked.
They were the Ancestral Witches!
"Have you found any traces of the Dragon Flame?" Darkar asked them.
"Our apologies, Mi'lord, but it seems it is being hidden from our eyes," Belladonna, Icy's ancestor, told Darkar.
Darkar glared at the woman and asked, "What could possibly be strong enough to hide such a great power as the Dragon Flame?"
"We do not know Master," Lilies, Darcy's ancestor, told the creature before her.
Darkar growled before he shouted at them , "We wouldn't need to find it if you had done what I wanted the first time! You 'son' is nothing more than a mistake that shows no potential for anything! It's because of that thing that I do not have the Ultimate Power!"
The three witches flinched and Astra saw a young boy with long strawberry blonde hair and grey eyes look at Darkar with tear filled eyes from where he was hiding behind a pillar.
It hit Astra that Darkar was talking about Valtor.
"Leave me!" Darkar told the three witches who then fled.
Tharma, Stormy's ancestor, picked Valtor up and carried him away as she scolded him for eavesdropping.
Astra shook as sweat slid down her face. What was that?!
That, my dear Star, was what Darkar is up to at the moment. You see, since Domino was not destroyed like it was before it means Darkar did not sense the Dragon Flame's power upon Domino like he did before. I have hidden it's power so he could not find it.
Astra's eyes widened as she heard this.
Your home world was not destroyed because of this. I have kept you all safe but I can not keep the Dragon Flame's power hidden forever. You have till you both are sixteen before Darkar will be able to find its power and send the Ancestral Witches and Valtor to collect it.
Astra swore she wouldn't let any hurt her twin sister or home world.
