It had been months since he awoke, clueless about everything. He didn't know who he was, where he was and what had happened to him. All that he knew was he was in a dark room and the many errors flashing before his optic. He couldn't even cry out for help as he hung there. His voice box had been ripped from him, leaving him to sob in static and white noise.

It would have been horrible if he had been by himself.

Thankful, he wasn't.

Megatron was with him.

And the human, Professor Issac Sumdac, that trapped them here.

He didn't know how to feel about the human in the first place. Yes, at the time, Sumdac had been a child and naive when he found the remains of two giant alien robots. That Sumdac's thirst for knowledge drove him to find out how they worked, what he could find out. It this curiosity that drove the human to where he was now. To where Megatron and himself were trapped now inside his lab for further uses.

It causes him mixed feelings every time Megatron converse with the human time and time again. The whole initial reveal had been a mistake; Sumdac accidentally overhead Megatron speaking and realize that the giant robotic head in his lab was alive.

And Megatron was quick to send him a message to stay quiet and lied to the professor. Now, he took to acting as if he was a friend to the professor and using Sumdac's guilt for harvesting all his technology off of them. It was that guilt that made sure the human didn't reveal them at all to the Autobots.

Megatron claimed to be a friend to the Autobots, the city's protector. Even if he, in reality, Megatron wasn't at all.

Why would Megatron reveal himself as an enemy to the Autobots when the human concerns them to be his friends and allies? It would sign their death warrants for sure.

Though, he wondered if death would be better than this. To be trapped inside a body that couldn't move, couldn't speak and force to pretend offline to stay hidden. He was utterly helpless as he watches life bypass him.

"Orion, you have been quiet. Is there something on your mind?"

Orion.

That is the name Megatron had given him on the first day they had awoken. Said he didn't know who he was, but he wanted to help in any way he can. So, the first thing Megatron did to help him was suggesting a name.

"After all, I must call you something while we're trapped here," Megatron pointed out.

On the one servo, it felt strange to think of himself as Orion. Maybe his memory loss caused some glitching? That he couldn't recognize being called anything else by his proper name. But that made Orion feel a bit silly over the whole thing. He rather be called anything than remain nameless the entire time.

It felt different went Megatron called him that. Every time he called to him, Orion felt his spark thump in his chest with excitement. He was pretty lucky to have online in the lab with a mech like Megatron. He was so patient with all the questions Orion had about everything, explaining everything in great detail about who they were, their homeworld of Cybertron and its history. The amount of knowledge the mech just amazed Orion.

Not to mention how positive he was. If anyone else was in this kind of situation, they wouldn't be as relentless and determined as Megatron.

When one of his plans didn't go to plan, Megatron didn't dwell on it for long. He kept on moving, working on his goals. One of the many things Orion found himself admiring Megatron for.

[I'm just reflecting on our situation.]

Orion was thankful he could somehow communicate with his friend even with the loss of his voice box. If he couldn't, Orion bet the silence would have driven him over the deep end.

"Oh?"

[I wish that we could tell Sumdac that I'm online as well. I could be so much more with the two of you than when we're alone.]

Every time Sumdac return to his lab, Orion was to pretend he still was offline. The human had made a habit of stay inside his lab for hours to days at a time. Most of those moments, he tended to go into recharge and await Megatron's signal that the coast was clear. He might not be a human, but Orion could imagine that it wasn't healthy at all to be doing that.

Sumdac's daughter seems to be more concerned with his eating and sleeping habits than he was.

"I can understand the frustration, my friend, but I only wish to protect you," said Megatron. "If things should go wrong and I'm eliminated, you would still be alive and out of the Autobots' hands."

Again, it made sense as Orion thought it over. Megatron had told him all the evils of the Autobots and their functionism. To be part of a caste system and work at a job that the government deem he would be suitable for without Orion having a say in the matter. No, he didn't want any part of that. So, Orion stayed silent while Megatron works with Sumdac.

When Sumdac realized that Megatron was online, the human still didn't even give a tick to think about the other body in the lab. He happily continued his work, trying to help Megatron regain his body back in some way to make amends for his imprisonment.

How could the human think that simply rebuilding one's body would be enough for the decacycles of being treated as a science project? To have their bodies use to build up his business, fortune and pretend he created all this newfound technology himself, it wasn't right.

Orion looked across the room to the only place he could see himself. The monitor was off at the moment, and it's screen was the closest thing to a mirror he had. How he hung there, picked over for scrap and parts. It was the only way Orion could see what had been done to him. Hanging there with cables as the experiment that Sumdac made him be.

How he was used and butcher while offline. That once Sumdac was done with him, Orion was quickly forgotten and treated like trash.

Which made Orion angry.

Sometimes he would watch the human laugh and treated the whole situation as merely a misunderstanding. He was laughing as he sat on his throne created from the remains of Megatron's hand, smiling away as he talked away. He was acting as if they were equals and not objects for his amusement anymore.

Even has he continue to sit there on another being's hand as a chair!? Who does that? Even after he knows the other still functions?

He didn't want to see this anymore. Orion wanted to leave and see all the things Megatron promised to show him once they were free. To see Cybertron, the stars, and so many worlds that were outside these four walls.

[It's not fair.]

"True, but do not worry too much as it's only temporary," said Megatron, so tenderly. It made Orion feel like the older mech was right beside him, holding him tightly and trying to set Orion's worries at ease. "We shall one day be free of this prison, and I'll show you all the wonders and sights of the universe. Never again will you be kept in a cage, but to be free and fly."

[I wish it would be soon.]

"Don't worry, Orion," assure Megatron.

The computer screen was brought to life again, having the reflection of Orion disappear from his sight. Megatron replaced it with the video feed of what Sumdac had been bragging about mere moments ago; The remains of Megatron's body. "I'm sure our moment of escape will be on the horizon."
