Sesshomaru gets there before Rin; he stands outside trying to capture her scent so that he knows she is close. He begins to smile when he catches it, and it is coming from behind him. He turns to see her smiling beautifully at him. He notices she has on a light pair of denim skinny jeans, that showed off her curves in her hips and her little plumped ass. She had on a black solid tee with buttons on the side and a pair of black flats.

Rin may be a plain girl, but she can make cheap clothes look good on her. Her hair was in a simple ponytail, and she had no makeup on. She had a clutch with her. Sesshomaru thought this was better than her having that bag with wads of money in it. Her natural look brought out the beauty in her. Her smile could warm anyone up, even the demon Sesshomaru.

"Wow you are fast, and I was already downtown" Rin says.

"Not to brag but I am one of the fastest demons and I did not want to keep you waiting, it would be rude".

"Sure thing" she replies.

Rin led the way and asked Sesshomaru, "Do you like fruits and sweets?"

He looked down on her questionably, "I like natural sweets, like what are in fruits, not the manmade kind, like candy".

"Okay that's great, that is basically what a smoothie is. They add ice to it to where it becomes slushie, but it is yummy goodness," she laughs excitingly.

They look at the menu and Rin shows him the different kinds of smoothies. She suggested he could make his own and he could opt out of sugar so it can be all natural. She watched him interact with the worker; he decided to make his own. He chose strawberries, kiwi, banana, and he would rather have the ice than adding Greek yogurt. Rin chose the Greek yogurt strawberry banana smoothie, she added blueberries to it. They sit down at table and they begin to converse with one another.

"These smoothies are a great alternative to a meal replacement. Sometimes I do not have time to eat a well-balanced meal so I will pick one of these on the go".

"They are actually not bad; I can have more of these". He looks to Rin wanting to hear more of her sweet soft voice. "Tell me more about yourself; you know finishing the conversation from last night". Sesshomaru trying not to sound too desperate.

"Where did we leave off at, oh yeah! We were talking about me going to school. I just always had a knack for nature, no one really enjoys the beauty of nature. They never just stop and just look at their surroundings and take in what the Gods have blessed us with, because without it we would not survive".

"That is an interesting way of looking at it".

"I am almost finished with my semester and if I could go the whole way through, I would but the way it is set up I cannot. I am still young, so I have time. I guess this is their way setting us up for our future, we can't have everything the way we want it".

"Your determination is very admirable; it reminds me of myself. I am a realtor and I worked extremely hard to get where I am at, no handouts. My father of course is at the top of his game, and I am following his footsteps, but he was not easy with me as he has been with my younger brother".

"Does that bother you being treated differently from your brother?"

Sesshomaru did not want to answer that question; he has strong animosity towards his brother. He felt his brother did not have the blood to even consider him worthy of anything, but he was his brother. He looked down on his brother because of him being half demon. Then for his father to let Inuyasha to get away with so much, he just could not stand him. To kill him was an overstatement. Over the years, their relationship became better but his human traits pisses him off so much that it reverts to them going at each other's head.

"I do not care for my brother, but he is still my brother".

Rin nods and thinks not to ask anything further as she feels there may be tension between the two at times. "Well, I am adopted by my uncle, and my cousin she is actually sort of dating your brother, we call each other sisters".

They did not even notice they stop drinking their smoothies and have been talking to one another for some time. Sesshomaru wants to change the subject to a non-awkward one. "You know Rin; I really enjoy your company. I don't have many friends at all, and I would love to consider this a new friendship developing".

"You are not so bad yourself. I am glad you chose to get to know me instead of playing your little games," she laughs. "I can laugh about it now because who I thought you were before; there is no comparison to what you are showing me now. I like this side of you if this is who you truly are".

"I see that you are a bit of tease but that is okay, I can tease too". Sesshomaru thought of many ways of how he could but that would be for a different time. "This is truly who I am Rin, and I don't want to give you anymore false representations of myself. I want you know the true me".

"I like that" she says and smiles.

Rin phones rings and Sesshomaru is instantly annoyed, he does not want his day to be interrupted with his mate.

"Oh, it's my sister, excuse me for one moment Sesshomaru".

He nods and listens in on her conversation.

"Hey sis, what is up?"

"Are you done with schoolwork?"

"What is the matter Kagome?"

"Oh nothing, Inuyasha wants to go on his private beach with friends. I was wondering if you were not busy tomorrow that you would swing by and just chill and be amongst the world. I know how you are with school; you tend to drown yourself in it".

"I will think about it Kagome and get back to you".

"I already know what the answer will be. If you do not give a straight up answer, it really means no, Ugh!"

"I will call you back, I am kind of busy and don't want to be rude, bye!" Rin quickly hangs up.

"Sorry about that".

"It is fine".

"Come to think of it, will you be in attending your brother's get together tomorrow?"

"He has not spoken to me about it, but I was not going to go if he were to ask".

"We should go together. I am already caught up with everything so I would be in the house all day but if you were to go, I would go. I love my sister but my sister's friends can be annoying"."

"I think I could make an exception to that".

"Umm do you mind, picking me up?" Rin laughs nervously.

Sesshomaru smiles, "I do not mind".

"Because you know I am poor and all," she laughs.

"It does not matter to me and don't say that about yourself. You are doing a lot and you are not without so don't put yourself down like that".

"It's a habit, I guess!"

Sesshomaru stands and notices how shorter Rin is; she reaches just atop of his chest. "You are short, he says.

Rin replies, "I am not short, you are just tall" she giggles out.

"Do you want a ride?"

"Yes, that would be nice, I always have to uber and that takes so much of my funds. I thought about taking a bus from now on".

Sesshomaru wanted to say so bad that she could have one of his cars. He had to find her a safer way for transportation. He did not trust buses, not even ubers, but they were safer.

Sesshomaru drops Rin off and feels at ease, he got to know Rin a little more. He just hopes eventually she would want to be more than friends. His primal instincts were gnawing at him, wanting more of her. He wanted more intimacy like being able to touch her any time he wanted. He wanted to feel those plump lips she pokes out so much. In due time he thought; he anticipates spending more time with her.

Rin is starting to feel a shift within herself, never had she allowed anyone know so much about herself. She did not know what it was about Sesshomaru that it made it so easy to talk to him, but she was enjoying it. She was glad they were able to get past their mishap, move on, and enjoy each other's company. She now had a developing friendship that she made on her own and not through her sister, introducing her to her friends.

They are both are excited about spending time with each other, but one is more excited than the other.
