Lokius C9

Authors note. To save rehashing a terrible episode with poor chemistry between Loki and Sylvie, we are going to assume everything runs as cannon until the freight car. Thank you.

Loki looked over at Sylvie as her head rested on the table. Was she his sister, half sister, no relation at all? He hadn't gained a full understanding of the multiverse yet or where its variants stood in relation to his own timeline and the timeline he now found himself in.

He was offered a drink, and some fruit and cheese. Loki figured he might as well take the time to refuel while he could. Remembering to save some for when his 'sibling'? Woke, no doubt she would also be hungry. Several drinks onward, Loki found himself investigating the tempad trying to think of a way to rig some sort of energy source to get them off this planet. There was no doubt that they had limited time left here, however well supplied the train was. Without fixing that tempad, they would both be killed. Yet, Loki's do not die, so there had to be a last minute rescue or battery pack or some way out he hadn't thought of. He thought about his way of 'walking between realms'. Discounting it as too risky to try to carry two that way without a good grounding of where he was in relation to Asgard.

If he could only get enough power just to get a message to Mobius, surely he would rescue them? Or maybe not, Loki had run out on him. For another woman. He wasn't sure how relationships worked, but he was pretty sure betrayal wasn't an acceptable part of one even with good reason behind it. He wasn't sure what you did to get out of trouble in a relationship. Odin had always given Frigga dresses and swords when they fought. Perhaps he could sneak into Asgard and get one of the master forges to create a special dagger to show his love for Mobius and hope that he wasn't made to bleed for daring to try to love someone.

As the drinks flowed, Loki found himself drawn into dances with all genders. A few stolen kisses, a number more flirtations. Normally Loki would be in his element, choosing which group of people who would join his bed tonight. However all he could think about was Mobius. The first man to actually care, truly care. How could he imagine kissing anyone else after kissing Mobius?

A few more drinks and Loki found himself shucking the disguise back to his TVA outfit. He could have created anything he wished to wear, yet the TVA outfit felt right. Even if it blurted out that he was a variant. It meant that he still had a piece of Mobius with him.

As the ladies took their turns to sing to the audience, Loki found himself singing the same song he had for Mobius tears falling on his cheeks as he finished. He had to find a way to charge this tempad and get back to Mobius, try to apologise for all of this.

He was lost in his thoughts until Sylvie came over. Hissing about his missing uniform. 'No one cares, it's the end of the world!'

'No one cares? Thats why we are being watched! But oh, thats not important because Loki wanted to get drunk.' Sylvie complained.

'I am not drunk, just full. But bare in mind, Im very full. You should try this cheese it goes wonderfully with the port. Where did the port go?' He searched for it.

Sylvie knocked the cheese platter from his hand, 'I don't care about port, we need to get out of here.'

'Why? Everyone here is having such a good time. Live a little.'

Two guard approached them, 'Sir, can we see your ticket?'

'I must have lost it.' Loki replied.

'Sir, we need to see proof of ticket.'

'Loki.' Sylvie hissed, 'I told you this was a bad plan.'

'It is a perfect plan. The tickets are right here.' Loki felt around in his pocket pretending to look. When he pulled his hand out to magic a pair of tickets the fireworks from earlier appeared in his hand. 'Oops.'

Sylvie sighed, pulling out a hair tie to get her hair out of her face as the fight started. Loki was thrown over the table top. She sighed and jumped into the battle. The guests screaming and running it was pure chaos. Just how she liked her parties. More guards appeared, they were out numbered. They went back to back trying to fight their way out, but eventually they both lost. Finding them both thrown from the train.

'The tempad.' Sylvie asked as they landed heavily.

'I'm sure its … oh.' Loki pulled it from his jacket as it shattered.

'Typical man!' Sylvie snapped, 'Now we are stuck here waiting to die!'

'We won't die. Loki's never die.'

'Really, then explain to me how we get away from a planet that is about to explode with no tempad?' She retorted.

Loki looked around, desperately. 'By our good looks and intelligence?'

Sylvie stormed away, screaming, discharging her magic into the earth so she didn't end up killing him early.

'Damn it.' Loki muttered. Following her. 'I'm sorry okay, I didn't mean to mess things up. Im hedonistic.'

'So am I, far more so than you but never when I am on a mission!'

'Mission? The great mission you won't tell me anything about.'

'Its my mission not yours.'

'Sylvie will you please slow down, we need to talk.'

'Talk, while you run. Look!' Sylvie pointed to the rocks crashing through the atmosphere.

'Oh.' Loki ran after her, battering away falling buildings with his magic trying to keep them both safe. 'The rocket, maybe we can escape that way.'

Sylvie changed direction going after the machine, only to see it crushed by a meteor. 'Any other great ideas moron?'

'Over there, that building should keep us safe for a while.'

'A while, we are just prolonging our fate. We are both going to die here.'

However, they both dove for cover as it was all they had left to cling to. As the planet fell apart around them. There was no way out. They had lost.

'I am sorry.' Loki said quietly, 'I should have been better, I'm going through some things that I shouldn't have allowed to get the better of me.'

'That time agent? You like him?' Sylvie asked.

'Yes, but that hardly matters now.'

'I'm sorry, if any one deserved a chance at love its a loki.'

'Love is not in a loki's nature.' Loki commented, he took her hand as the meteors started to destroy the building around them.

Sylvie rested her head on his shoulder. 'We had a good run.'

'Mobius is right, all a loki can do is bring pain and suffering.' Loki sighed. He closed his eyes and gave in to their fate. To hear an unusual yet familiar sound. He opened his eyes to see a TVA portal open.

Mobius stood there looking at them, 'Get the hell in here before you end up as a living pancake!'

Loki dove for the portal dragging Sylvie with him. 'Thank you.' He said looking up at his friend from the floor.

Mobius's eyes were guarded. He looked angry. No, he looked a mess, sunken eyes, rumbled suit, loose tie. 'Take them away, inprision them separately. I will interrogate them in the morning. '

'Mobius?' Loki asked, 'I need to talk to you.'

Mobius looked back at him, 'You should have thought of that before you betrayed me. Thank you for stabbing me in the back like everyone else you ever met.'

Mobius clicked his fingers and the time agents took them both away. He needed a drink.
