No one's P.O.V

After the commercial break, we are cut back to the two teams standing under hanged totems.

Chris the started to explain the rules. "Those are your team totems. You need to cut them down and get them in the river and ride them back to the campground. First team there get their pick of the cabins. But hurry. Thr totems are rigged with bombs that wil explode if you don't plant them in front of your cabin in seven minutes or less. Starting now." As he finished the bombs started their countdown.

"Alright let's do this!" Jo jumped of a rock to the trampoline but landed straight for the river. "Yeah-Ah!"

Nora chuckled thinking it was funny. "Yeah, your doing so great, Jo!" She said sarcasticly before going back to game mode. "But seriously we need a quick plan for this." She walked to the trampoline. "Um, does someone know anything about gravity?"

Cameron walked next to her. "I know it. Okay if Jo hits the center of the trampoline with 50 pounds of pressure per square inch..." But he was shoved off by Anne-Maria.

"Back off, I want a crack at this." She then accidentally shoved Nora with her shoulder.

"But I calculated for Jo's weight!" The bubble boy called out as he adjust his glasses.

Anne-Maria jumped her turn off the rock to the trampoline but she hit her head at the base of the totem. Making a metal clank sound. Her teammates winced. It went on about 4 more times before Jo shoved the trampoline aside with her foot making her land hard on the ground.

"Uh, maybe someone else should give a try?" Nora said changing the subject.

"Don't worry soldiers I got this!" Brick marched to the rock ready to jump. "Time to win this!" With a strong pressure as he hit the center, Brick darted straight up to where the axe was hanging. But he immeuble panicked as he feared to fall off as he grabed the axe tightly.

"Good grief..." Jo said in an unenthousiastic tone.

"Sheesh. What a baby!" Anne-Maria was ratered annoyed.

"Aw man. This isn't working!" Mike said frustrated, he then gasped as his face looked like an old man and bend down like one. "Gah darnit! Cut the danged rope already!"

"That's what we're trying to do Mike." Anne-Maria said in an obvious tone.

"Mike? Names Chester, Missy." Mike (or Chester) said as if he was a totally different person.

"Uh, excuse me?" Zoey was as lost as Anne-Maria as they gave weird out confused expressions.

Nora's P.O.V

Okay, now i'm so confused by all of this. Why is Mike acting like an old man all of the sudden? He kinda reminded me, oddly, of my grandfather. Cause that's how he would have act if he was fustrated. Maybe he's an actor or something? I shook my head to focus back into the game. "We don't have time for this! The other team are already on their way to cut their rope, if I can buy us some time, maybe we can get this done faster." I ran to the rock ready to jump.

"Nora are you sure you know what you are doing?" Zoey asked me.

"Maybe? Not sure, but I hope it works..." With a deep breath taken I jumped on the trampoline and dashed up and hanged on around Brick's waste. "Hey, it worked!"

Brick's P.O.V

As I was struggling to hang on, I felt something around my waste. I looked down to see Nora who was holding tight around me.

"Need some help?" She asked me with a confident look on her. I nodded as we immediately turned upside down as I was trying to pull the axe out. With her pulling me from behind.

But a squeaking noise caught our attention as we saw a mutanted Squirrel!

"Oh, no!" Nora started to panic. "Hey! Go away! Shoo!" She tried to scare it away but lass she failed to.

It got mad at this and let out a deep treatning goarn. We immediately screamed, she almost cried as she held on me tight.

Nora's P.O.V

I was so scared to even do anything as I held on tight around Brick, as we both feared it would attack us.

Back on the ground Mike, uh, Chester was playing around with around in his hand a stone. "Back in my day, we didn't need fancy saws and axes to cut ropes. We did just fine with stones." He trew it, which unfortunatly hit the mutant Squirrel. That triggered it. Which his eyes turned red from anger as he started zaping lightning out from it's eyes.

The mutant animal was targeting our team from below for a moment before turning it's attention back to us. It almost electricuted us but Brick let go one hand as we avoided it, still holding the axe. Before he griped back up as it shoot down.

"Not the crew cut!" He said.

"Ah!" I screamed as it shoot right at us, but thank fully, the metal of he axe block us. Then it shoot right from where the totem was tied up. Which caused the branch to break sending the both of us back on the ground, unharmed. I stood up as brushed myself off.

Everyone else was glad we completed the task.

"Mission accomplished." Brick saluted, till he was crushed by the totem. It was about an inch to crush me, Jo and Anne-Maria!

"Brick!" I cried out in horror.

Brick's P.O.V

That giant totem litterly just fell on me! Litterly! That really make my face fell flat. I wasn't able to hear what the others where saying as they are probably gonna get me out of this. The only thing I was able to grasp was a loud cry from Nora calling me out.

"On three, one, two, three!" I heard Jo's voice followed by grunting and felling that the totem was being pulled off of me. Then I was draged out by someone as soon as that happend. I was kinda impress by that person's strengths, I should made them part in my squadron.

"Brick, are you okay?!" I immediately snapped my eyes open to see Nora over me, upside down, well in my point of view. Concerned for me. "How many fingers i'm holding?!"

"Um, two?" I blushed a little as I answered eyes wided. She actually pulled me out?! That woman is stronger than I thought.

She let out a breath of relief. "He's okay!" Before turning back to me. "Are you?"

I sat back up turning back to her as I rubbed my forehead. "Never better. Now, let's get this totem a lift." We both got back on our feets to go help our troops.

Cameron's P.O.V

Wow, Nora's plan actually worked! Well, so to speak. How did she know it would work, maybe it was pure instinct? Or did she planed it all after seeing most of us doing it?

We all lifted the totem to the lake, then we we all sat on it. Jo is in the front, followed by Brick, Nora, Anne-Maria, me, Mike (Chester) and Zoey. The lake immediately send us flowing down the stream. Unfortunatly, the other team where about to catch up.

"They're gaining on us!" Jo called out as most of us looked behind.

"It's my duty to inform you ma'am that we have bigger problems." Brick pointed out of what was infront of us.

We all looked to see that we're heading straight for a waterfall! "My fist waterfall!" I was so excited to experience this!

"And maybe our last!" Mike (Chester) added despite me still being happy.

"This reminds me of a ride from a themed park back home!" Nora cried out as she held on tight to Brick again. "Only, it's much more real!"

We all screamed as we where falling straight down closing our eyes tight. Luckly we made it safe to the ground.

No one's P.O.V

Zoey was holding for her dear life as she was almost thrown off the totem.

"Ah, kids today and their crazy log rides..." Chester mumbled.

"Mike!" Zoey cried out.

He then gasped as he turned back into Mike. "Zoey? Zoey! Hang on!" He grabed her hand just in time to pull her back.

"Okay, thanks Mike." Zoey held on tight around him glad that he saved her.

"Uh, no problem..." Mike blushed.

"Everyone! Lean forward! It will help us speed up!" Nora called out her idea.

"Pfft, yeah right." Jo rolled her eyes. "Like we would listen to you."

"Hey, at least I helped us get ahead didn't I?" Nora frowned.

"True, but you still provoqued that Squirrel to attack us." Jo added.

"It wasn't my fault! It was Mike!" Nora used one harm to point him out.

"Wait, what did I do?" Mike was confused on what she refereded too.

Before Nora could reply, the Mutant Maggots heard the Toxic Rats passing by.

"We don't care!" All of the Rats, except for B, snapped out at Staci for one of her fake stories.

"Hey, how did they get in front of us?!" Jo called out.

"Oh, I don't know, maybe they lean forward?!" Nora said sarcasticly as she rolled her eyes.

Nora's P.O.V

Jo really has gotten into my nerves, big time. Like I'm the one responsible for the Squirrel incident?! Litterly, I saw Mike throwing a rock at it! Clearly, the hole team saw that! It's official totally not liking her.

"Woah, look, I know it's not your fault that this hole thing happend." Brick told me. "But you do seem to have a point there, we could have leaned forward to gain the lead." He added turning away as he said it to Jo.

'Ha! Look who's listening to me now, Jo!' If only I could have said that outloud. I secretly suck out my tongue at Jo while Brick wasn't looking at me. In which she glared back.

"Um, guys? Incoming!" Cameron cried out as we turning infront to see that we are about to land at full speed. We all screamed like crazy.

We eventualy flew off of our totem. It crashed to the deluxe cabin as it exploded. Glad to not being blown into pieces.

No one's P.O.V

"Too bad, it had an eight-person hot tub and air conditioning." Chris announced to the unfortunate Toxic Rats which they goarned. At least most of them.

"Ya, my great-great-great Uncle James invented log cabins. Before him, people had to sleep in the trees and they keep falling over all the time. And my great-great-great-great-great Aunt Phyllis invented roofs. And before her houses where just walls and furniture and every time it rained you had to get a new sofa." Staci rambled a fake story about her ancestors, much to the annoyance of her teammates.

"Regardless, as the only team with a cabin standing, the Mutant Maggots win the first challenge!" Chris announced to the winning team.

The Maggots cheered a little still recovering from their fall.

Lightning walked over. "So where am I gonna sleep?"

"No worries. We've got a backup cabin for you. Every bit is the same as nice as the one you lost." A helicopter came with another lame cabin, much to the disappointement of the Toxic Rats. "Team rat, i'll see you at the campfire for our first elimination ceremony of the season."

After the Mutant Maggots recovered from their fall. They have a little celebration at the Mess Hall.

"To the Mutant Maggots!" Brick held up his drink for a toast. The rest of them cheered as they clinked their cups with juice.

"I can't believe we actually won!" Mike said happily.

"Despite the fall we just had I can live with it." Nora replied still remembering that.

"Hey, what's this?" Jo noticed a black book infront of Nora. Before getting slaped on her hand. "Ow!"

"Don't touch my sketch book. It's private..." Nora said firmly.

"Geez, don't get your scales in a bunch, shorty..." Jo rubbed her hand. "I was just curious."

"You can draw?" Zoey asked. "What do you draw then?"

"Mostly my own OCs, TV show characters, etc." Nora said. "But I don't wanna show them, not used to it to other people besides my family. I would bring it in case I wanted to draw something."

"Oh! Think you can draw me?" Anne-Maria piped in.

"Uh, sure why not? But you need to pose for that." Nora grabed her book as she opened to a blank page.

"Get ready to see what I got!" Anne-Maria went to the another table as he sat on it posing.

Nora immediately started to sketch her, she looked at her and her book several times just to make sure she got her right. After a small while later. "Done!" She showed it to her wanting her opinion. "So, what do you think..?"

"What do I think?! Girl, that's the most amazing drawing i've seen!" Anne-Maria took her book to admire it. "Don't I look good in it or what?"

The rest of the maggots, except for Jo walked over to compliment Nora on the drawing. Jo only crossed her arms and frowned.

Jo's P.O.V

First, shorty humiliates me by talking back at me. Now everyone like her?! Man, why can't they all just step up to their game instead of befriending each other? Mhm, if that book is so important to her, maybe I can find a way to sabotage it. Now that's a plan.

'But I need to know where she keeps it...' All is left is to know where she hides that book. I put my hand under my chin as I thought.

"Hey, Jo you coming?" String Bean snapped me out of my thoughts as they all left the Mess Hall.

"Oh, uh, yeah i'm coming." I walked out to follow the others back to our cabin.

Brick's P.O.V

I have to admit, Nora does have some good drawing skills. Maybe I can ask her to draw me next time.

After we arrived back to our cabin, we all decided to turn in. "Well soldiers, I guess i'll be resting."

Nora yawned as she rubbed her eyes. "Yeah, I guess I can use a good sleep myself..."

"Agreed..." Zoey also looked tired.

"Man, this will be my first night outside my bubble." Cameron added I was confused about it. "I don't think I will be able to sleep on my bed tonight."

"Don't you have anything that you can recreate it?" Nora asked him, I was now impressed by her thinking.

"Of course!" Cameron added now realizing. "My sleeping bag! Good thinking Nora."

"What can I say, I have good brains." Nora added, gladdly to help him out.

"Are we just gonna spend the night chit chating or are gonna get some shut eyes?" Jo was now getting impatient to go to sleep.

"Okay, we'll go to sleep happy..?" Nora looked like she didn't like her attitude as she walked off to the washrooms.

No one's P.O.V

After a good teeth brushing and putting their pyjamas, the boys and girls said good night and went inside in their respective sides. Nora put her book in her back-pack as she zips it close. Got on her bed and pulled over the covers as she shut her eyes.

"Good night girls..." She said in tired tone.

"Night..." Zoey said as she turned off the lights.

"G'night..." Anne-Maria added.

"See ya in the morning..." Jo added.

And like that ended their first day at Camp Wawanakwa.
