No one's P.O.V
It was a quiet morning, for everyone at least. Not a single sound reigned.
*Loud fanfair music playing, with an alarm clock ringing.*
Nora's eyes cracked open suddenly and yelped. "Ah! I don't have School today Mom!" She yelled franticly.
Anne-Maria screamed as she fell off her bed.
Zoey woke up confused. "Huh?! What?!"
"I'm awake!" Jo immediately jumped off her bed covering her ears. "Out of my way!" She abruptly shoved the other girls as they are now one small human pile. "Okay, who's the one who woke me up?!"
"Um, you mean us?" Anne-Maria firmly said.
"Me, you, us, whatever..." Jo rolled her eyes.
"I think I already have an idea who it was..." Nora goarned still tired.
Nora's P.O.V
Since we couldn't go back to sleep, we had no other choice but to get changed for today's challenge. Jo went to do her morning runs. So it's just me, Zoey and Anne-Maria in the girls side of the cabin. Somehow Anne-Maria was able to put everything in her hair as if it was a sac. Not even gonna ask her that. As I looked through the window, I saw Scott running towards his cabin covered in mud. That looked unusual for me and suspicious. Wait, was he looking for the idol? Dang it, he's gonna use it to safe himself. Better keep an eye on him. But I need an ally for that.
I took my back-pack to un zip it, and took out some of the food I brought, since Chef's food is awful. I took a protein bar, unwarped it and chew on it.
"Hey, since when did ya stuff food in ya bag?" Anne-Maria asked me.
I simply replied. "Come on, do you really think they would check our stuff?" I pulled out a Banana for her. "Want some?"
"Oh, sure, thanks." She took it and ate it.
"Thanks." Zoey said as I gave her an Apple.
After a while we hear an alarm from the foghorn, announcing the next challenge.
No one's P.O.V
"Up and at em my morning glories." Chris came on his buggy. "It's time for today's challenge!"
"What? But Lightning hadn't had his DPA!" The latter then got confused looks from his team. "Daily Protein Allotment, duh." He explained with an obvious tone.
"And I haven't had enough beauty sleep..." Dakota added wearing her sunglasses.
"Come on you look-..." Sam was about to compliment her, until she took off her glasses. "Great sons of Orion!" He cringed at her tired eyes.
The show's host continued. "You can catch up on your sleep after the challenge. Right this way to the Bay of Dismay."
Everyone goarned still feeling tired.
Dakota took out her phone to call the paparazzi. "Hey it's me, where going to some bay-Hey!"
But Chris used a magnet tied on a fish pole to confiscate both her and Sam's gadgets. "Contraband! Now it's mine! Confiscators keepers! Come one, your humiliation awaits!"
Brick's P.O.V
We where all walking to this Bay of Dismay Chris mentioned. Most of us where exchanging conversations while we walk there. Well, most of us. I wasn't one of them who wasn't part of a conversation. I was walking ahead of everyone. At least till someone familiar came by next to me.
"Hey, Brick." Nora said as she is now walking next to me.
I smiled as I replied. "Oh, Nora, wasn't expecting you to come talking to me."
"Actually..." She whispered, which got my attention more. "I was wondering if you can help me with something, but you can't tell anyone..."
I knew that she means it so I whispered back. "Okay, so what you need help for..?"
"I think Scott is trying to find the immunity statue for himself around here..." She explained. "He might be a threat to everyone..."
"What makes you say that..?" I replied.
"I thought i've heard him yesterday when he was doing his confessional that he's gonna make B get kicked out..." By the way she told me really made her worried. "I know that he's in a different team, but he doesn't deserve to get sabotage by the bad guy..."
Nora did caught my intress there, I took one look at Scott who had his eyes on B for a while. Which is not a good sign at all. "That's a good thing you just did to come to me soldier... Don't worry i'll help you with you mission..."
"You will..?" She added. "Thanks Brick..!"
"No problem soldier..." I replied back as I blushed a bit. I gotta be honest, she looks kinda beautifull when she smiles.
Jo's P.O.V
I happend to notice how Shorty is acting towards Brick now that i'm not distracted. Wait, does she like him? Okay one, ew. Second, maybe instead of destroying her book, I can use their lovey dovey faze as my new advantage. All I need to do is to make these two get closer so that it will sabotage our team and to at least get one of them kicked out. Then i'll deal with the other. Now there's a plan.
I chuckled out loud. String Bean the asked me. "Um, what you laughing at?"
"Nothing! Just a funny joke that I heard once." I lied to make sure that he doesn't get suspicious. "Nothing else."
"Okay..?" He said not seemed convinced.
"Look, let's just get this over with and don't speak to me while we're getting there got it?" I pointed to him frowning.
He gulped as he nodded without saying another word to me for the hole walk.
No one's P.O.V
Once everyone has arrived at their location, they where strapped in children seize harnesses seated in stands. Like on game shows over the lake.
Chris wore a blue uniform for this challenge. "Welcome to the getting to know you trivia game challenge! Everyone strapped in all nice and snug?"
Scott struggled by how tight they are. "Too snug, it's cutting into my shoulders."
"Yeah, children seize harness will do that." Chris chuckled at that. "I'll be asking our players embarrassing personal questions and I mean, majorly humiliating." He smirked like he means it. "If the player I'm talking about hits the poorly wired buzzer and owns their humiliation before the time runs out, their team gets a point. First team to five wins part one and a distinct advantage in part 2, but if no one owns up, this happens..." He pulls out a remote and presses a button which causes the seats were the maggots are seating to go under water. The maggots scream while under water because the mutant Shark tries to eat them before Chris brings them back up.
"There's some kind of two legged monster shark down there!" Mike added still shaking with terror.
"You mean Fang?" Chris chuckled "It turns out toxic waste can mess with stuff under water too." Points at the screen which shows a picture of Fang.
"Huh better him than us." Scott mumbled to Lightning.
"Any who if a team gets dunked, their opponents can steal by guessing which dunkee is guilty. Guess right and you get a point, guess wrong and this happens." He pushes the button again, making the Rats seats go underwater. They see Fang putting on a bib and scream making Chris smiles and pulled then back up. "Now that we understand the rules, let's start the game. To the Rats, now listen carefully. Who did this on the one and only date they had?" The ? on the screen farts.
Everyone laughed as Sam blushed with embrassement. "Where did you get that?" He pushes his button and gets shocked. Rats get a point.
Now it's the Maggots' turn. "Who wet their pants on the first and last day of school?"
"Woah, one of us is a pants wetter?" Mike cringed.
Brick blushed with embrassement.
Jo looked at Brick and already knew it was him. "He who sweats it wets it, team before pride, Maggot!"
The army guy gives in and pushes his button and got shocked. "Ow, fine, it was me..."
The Rats laughed at him. Maggots get a point. "And it's one all!"
The Maggots cheered while poor Brick sunk low with embrassement. Nora felt bad for him who was sitting next to him.
"Sorry for what just happend Brick, trust me, I have been embarassed many times in my life..." She said in which the latter smiled a bit in return.
"Rats? Who's first name is really Beverly?" Chris turned to the Rats.
"That's not an embarrassing question. who cares if a girls first name is Beverly?" Brick crossed his arms.
B wasn't still sure to admit it, but he gave up and pushes his button getting shocked.
"Correct, Beverly. Rats get the point, but I would have preferred a verbal response." Chris added firmly.
"But B never talks just look at his aura." Dawn stated the fact.
B shruged in response confirming it.
"Don't care, so as a quick punishment."Chris pushes the button causing all the rats to go under water. The Rats scream underwater.
Fang eats Scott. The Rats are lifted back up as Scott screams and fights Fang. "No! Wait for me!"He breaks free and swims to the surface. Fang growled in response.
"Thanks for leaving me down there, team! You can win this stupid challenge without me!" Scott said angrily.
"If he's not playing then I'm not eitha!" Anne-Maria called back trying to get out of her harness.
"Uh, since I've already been humiliated, can I go?" Sam said blushing still embarrassed.
"But we can't quit!" Nora called out. "Otherwise no one will win."
The show's host immediately got annoyed. "Okay, everyone just settle down."
Mike was able to untied his harness. "Sorry, but I'm with Anne Maria, we should stop. Not that I've got any secrets to hide!" He chuckled nervously.
Jo smacks him from behind the head. "Sit down, Pointy! I'm not losing this game!"
"Woah, take it easy!" Zoey called her back feeling sorry for him.
"Woah! Hey Host talking here, I decide when the challenge is over." Chris said started to get irritated.
Scott was able to break free of his harness. "Whatever, I'm out of here!"
Lightning kept him from going. "Not until we win!"
Dakota used that distraction to pull out another phone. "Hey, it's me!"
The Maggots are attacked by Fang who barely misses Cameron.
"Ah! Shark! Get it away from me!" Nora immediately held on to Brick tight in fear.
Brick blushed even more cause of that looking nervous and lovestruck somehow.
"Yeah, I'm using my backup phone..." Dakota whispered to whom she is calling.
Soon, most started to argue while some didn't say anything. It was heated up for a moment till Chris finally snapped. "Alright! Shut it! Thanks to that pathetic digression, now we don't have enough time to finish this challenge. Happy?"
Everyone cheers except for Jo and Nora.
"Quiters..." The jogger scoffs.
"For once I totally agree with you..." Nora whispered back.
"Well you won't be happy for long!" The show's host at the camera "Come back after the break for an all new challenge from which there is no escape and in the meantime..." He pushes the button one last time sinking all the competitors.
