No one's P.O.V
It was in the middle of the night, everyone was asleep in both cabins. Until a horn blasts. "RUN! Run for your lives!"
That caused everyone to wake up alarmed and panicked. Everybody shoves one another to get out of the cabin.
Mike stops and looks around. "What's happening?"
Lightning runs out followed by Dawn.
Dakota is seen with the horn when Chris tells her to stop. "Thanks Intern!"
"Huh?!" Which caused her ears to go numb.
Sam then said. "Hi Dakota!"
"Huh?! Speak up!" She gets knocked out of the way by a board.
"Challenge time!" Chris announced.
Brick got nervous. "What? Now? In the middle of the night? When it's all...you know... Dark?"
Jo glares at him.
Nora reasured him. "Don't worry it will be alright. I won't leave your side through this."
"Thanks..." He returned back with a smile.
Chris continued to explain. "Your challenge, a scavenger hunt for three creepy souvenirs. Your locations: a haunted forest, a scary pet cemetery and an extra spooktastic cave. First team to each location gets a special clue, but watch out for booby traps. I really went to town with them Hehehe. So move fast and stick together. You'll be penalized for each player you lose."
Cameron then asked. "Um, what does the spider represent?"
"Oh yeah, there's some kind of gigantic mutated spider sort of running around loose on the island" He said.
Everyone panics.
Dakota rubs her ears. "What's on the loose?!"
"A gigantic mutated spider!" Sam yelled out to her.
Cameron started cowering and looking around. "Where?! Where?!"
"Just when I thought I could get a night's rest..." Nora goarned still feeling tired.
"There's nothing to fear but mortal terror itself." Chris blows the horn as everyone ran off. "Talk soon!" He then said to Dakota. "Get to work lackey!"
Dakota screams. "What?!"
The scene changes to the forest and the Toxic Rats running through it.
"Woo! First! That's right!" Lightning cheered.
"Welcome to the haunted forest your clue can be found at the base of this tree..." Lightning bends downwards to search it and screams. "...and a bear trap." Chris laughs through the speakers.
Dawn just stands there unamused as Lightning's hand, which is in a bear trap hands her the clue. "Here creepy girl! Read the clue!"
Jo followed by the rest of the Maggots arrived. "Well, Well, Well what do we have here?"
"Hey find your own piece of paper!" Lightning yelled at Jo.
Jo turned to the Maggots. "Come on, let the runts have their clue. I've got a plan."
Once they where all far from the rats, Mike asks. "So, what's your big plan?"
"Find a place to hide so we can follow the rats and their clue to our first souvenir. Into that bush!" The Maggots run into the bush wich turns out to be a thorn bush so everyone yells in pain. "Shhh. They're coming..." Jo hushed.
Dawn read the clue. "Inside and knot is a nest. Your souvenir lives with a pest. Find Polaris to travel Northwest. Polaris is the North star!"
B gestured his team to follow his direction.
"They're getting away! Come on!" Jo called out after the Rats left.
They all struggle to get out as Brick sticks his head out. "Uh... Who's there?" A bunch of eyes are seen glaring at him. He screams, picks up the whole bush and runs.
Moments later the Maggots eventualy got out of the bushed. But Nora recived some thorn on her hair which caused it to be a total mess. "Ahhhhh! Get them off me, get them off me!"
"Don't worry I got this!" Zoey gladly helped her with them.
"Urgh!" The Mexican girl goarned with anger. "Why does this always have to be me who gets the thorns in my hair?!"
Jo then scoffs. "I don't know, maybe beacuse you have, messed up hair?!"
"Shut up, Jo!" Nora glared at her. "Ow!"
"Sorry! My bad!" Zoey apologises. She eventualy got them all off as possible. "I guess that's all of them."
"Thanks..." The latter thanked her before re-tying her hair into a bun to make it much more easier for her.
"Great, now let's move!" Jo asked her team as they keeped on running.
The Toxic Rats are running from afar.
"Inside a knot is a nest. Hey Dawn what's the middle part?" Sam looks behind him and sees Dawn missing! "Wait, where's Dawn?" He starts to panic. "Dawn? Dawn?! Dawn!"
"What? Did we lose creepy girl..?" Lightning gulped.
"We get a penalty for each lost player right?" Sam said nervously.
Lightning gets more worried "And there's some kind of wacked out spider crawlin around right..?"
Sam then said. "We're looking for a knot with a nest right?"
Ligntning ran to a tree with spray paint on it. "There it is! Sha-Score!"
Lightning climbs up the tree and reaches into the hole. He hears hissing and a giant eyeball appears. It grabs Lightning by the neck with a tentacle as he screams. The creature slaps him and pokes his eye.
Lightning "Ah! Ah! My eye!" He is then choked.
Sam hides behind B and B freezes.
Sam turns to the silent inventor. "Dude I've seen this in Sea Creature 5! To fight a squid you have to duck, duck, jump, and Punch!"
B looked confused.
"Just follow my lead." The gamer added.
The Giant Spider then hissed and lashing out on them.
"Duck, Duck, Jump, Punch!" They where both doing okay, till the creature wraps a tentacle around Sam's foot. "Uh oh... Ahhh!" He gets punched by the creature.
Lightning sits and watches before climbing the tree. "No Calamari does that to Lightning!" He then punches the Creature's Eye. "SHA-BAM!"
The creature yells as it shrivels away and Sam drops to the floor.
Lightning is then searching through the tree. "Aww Yeah! The Key!" But he gets webbed away, dropping the key on the floor.
B walks over as he grabs the key.
Sam regains consciousness. "What happened? Lightning? Lightning?!Lightning!"
The Toxic Rats are now in hermal vision goggles mode.
"Man, we've lost two players!" Sam said with a panicked tone.
The Maggots eventualy arrived.
"Gee Maybe we should search for the object way over there with the rest of our teammates. Cause it's not just the two of us." Sam nervously said as he and B ran off.
"Look team colours!" Cameron pointed out.
"Could be a trap I say we should send in our most expendable player." Jo spoke up.
Brick then said. "No one's expendable!"
"Do you wanna play nice or do you want to win?!" Jo gave him a firm glare as he was taken a back.
Nora steped in. "Look if it makes you feel any better, let me handle this."
The former chuckled, as if someone had told her a joke. "You? Please, don't make her laugh. But if you insist so much, be my guest."
"Just watch me." Nora gave a confident look before going to the tree and climbed on it. She dugged into the hole and found the key. "Hey, this key must be the souvenir!" She tossed it out with Mike catching it.
"Sweet! Nice work Nora!" Mike said as bends down to grab the key. "Hey, Zoey?" Zoey is suddenly snatched up by the spider. "Do you think this key is gonna open something later on in the challenge? Zoey? Whoa, where's Zoey? Zoey?! Zoey?!" Mike started to run around desperate.
Jo starts to walk away. "Annnd we call off the search and forge ahead."
"That's against the cadet code! Never leave a soldier behind." Brick said.
Mike calls out again. "Zoey!"
Jo walks up to Brick no cating. "We are not leaving her! She left us! That means she's AWOL. Now move it GI joke!"
"Hey, leave him alone Jo, and Brick's right, we are not leaving without Zoey." Nora glared up to her. "Next thing we need is one of us ended up going missing next."
"Why would you care? Is it beacuse you didn't like seeing pantsy here get chicken up by me?" Jo said.
That made Nora blushed a bit. "So what if I do? I'm not gonna let you being mean to everyone like that! Just because you're a so called 'Strong women', doesn't mean you should be a bossy pants."
That made the former get irritated. "What did you just called me..?!"
"Miss Bossy Pants..." the latter said not feeling intimidated by her anger.
"Okay... Um, I guess that's enough of that..." Cameron said nervously. "Heh..."
But both girls still gave each other hated glares. As they growled.
B and Sam run.
Sam panted. "Ah, It's not like I don't like this leisurely pace but shouldn't we be running faster?"
B looks at him from behind.
"Come on, let's rock this! With Dakota voted off I've got killer energy and focus to burn! Check it!" He swipes the key and runs off. He then starts to jump over things. "Rock! Tree Stump! Mysterious clump of dirt! But as he unknowningly runs over some mines they blown him up. He Lands on more mines wich blow him up again and again.
B watched as he winced.
Sam is burnt to a crisp.
Jo laughing as the Maggots run by. "Thanks for clearing the way."
Mike yelled while running. "Zoey? Zoey?!"
"I think I can taste my liver..." Sam added with pain.
The scene shows The Mutant Maggots panting. As they arrived at some sort of cemetery.
"Welcome to the Wawanakwa Pet crematory!" Chris said through the speakers.
"We're first String bean! Go get the clue!" Jo shoves Cameron forward.
Cameron opens a casket with numbers on paper. Some in red. "Aren't three sixes meant to be Evil?"
"Let's fan out and look for numbers!" Jo added.
Brick then got nervous. "Uhm, you mean by ourselves..?"
Nora then held his hand. "Don't worry, i'll go with you. If it makes you feel better."
Brick blushed a bit. "Oh, um, sure that would be great! Thank you."
Nora smiled as well as she blushed.
Moments later they both walked around looking for some clues, that might be connected to the numbers.
"Say, um Nora, now that it's just us, maybe you can tell me more about yourself." Brick said wanted to start up a conversation.
"Well, I am a star athlete at my School, I am an only child, have lots of cousins, also I am a Mexican descendant." She replied.
"I see, so i'm guessing you can speak Spanish as well?" He said.
She nodded her head in return. "My parents and I moved to America when I was little, so I had gotten used to live in the state for most of my life."
Now Brick's curiousity turned into surprised. "Wait, you're not from Canada?!"
"No, i'm actually from Wisconsin, which is right next to Canada if you'd ask me." Nora added. "Although, I don't like it there that much anymore..."
"Why is that?" Brick asked.
"Well, i've dreamed of traveling to other places, see the world, it's wonders, even learn more about life!" Nora said with charisma and enthousiasme. "See the unknown. Just for once I can either live for the rest of my life with my parents, or go to live somewhere i'd really love to."
Brick stood in awe by her hopes and dreams that he snapped out of it before she realized him staring at her. "And if, someone else would want to accompany on your journey? Someone who would spend the rest of their days with you."
Nora immediately blushed at that remark. "Um, w-well I, uh... Oh look a ghost, Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" She ran off faking seeing the so called 'ghost' Just so that Brick wouldn't see her red face.
"Wait! Don't leave me here!" Brick immediately panicked after she left forgeting why he was so calmed earlier. He looked around with nervousness. He is then seen walking backwards before falling into a grave. He screaming inside the grave. "HELP! HELP! Too dark,too dark!"
To his luck Jo was nearby to heard his cries of help. "Brick take my hand!" She was able to pull him out.
"So Dark, so dark!" He mumbled like a panicked kid.
Jo then slaps him repeatedly across his face. "Pull! Yourself! Together!"
The Mutant Maggots look at his now bruised face then down at his trousers wich reveals a wet patch. "Wh-It was wet down there and I landed on my crotch! I gotta dry off." He runs away feeling embarrassed and grabs a pile of leaves wich rubs on the wet patch. "Come on dry!" Everything then goes thermal as something was looking at him. "Dry!" The Spider then abducts him and he screams.
"Brick?" Cameron called out.
The maggots all run to where he was.
Cameron then said. "He was just here a second ago!"
"Where did he go?" Anne-Maria said worried.
"Ah well, two words. Dead Weight." Jo said not carring at all.
"Hey! Brick may not be attractive in any way but he is still a person." The latina girl said in defense of Jo selfish attitude.
"Yeah! Your cutthroat attitude stinks!" Mike said also agreeing.
The tomboy said. "It's called a winning attitude. Get used to it or get out of the way."
Just then they see Nora arrive.
"Well look who's here, pantsy's girlfriend." Jo said as a joke.
"I am NOT his girlfriend." Nora snapped back.
"Nora where have you been?" Cameron asked. "We found Brick on his own, we thought that you might have gone missing."
"Well, I got caught up for what Brick said earlier, but then I thought I heard Brick screaming and..." Nora then notices the soldier in-training not present. "Wait, where's Brick..?"
"He's gone missing!" Mike said as Anne-Maria hit his arm with her elbow with a frown.
"What?!" Nora cried out in horror now worried for the guy she has feelings for. "Brick? Brick? Brick?!" She started to run around desperate.
"You had to tell her that?!" Anne-Maria frowned since now they had to deal with another worried person.
"It just came out!" Mike said in defense.
The scene changes to B next to a coffin in the pet cemetery. He went on to search for the next souvenir.
Meanwhile, Sam was elsewhere. "Hey, this grave smells like french fries!" But he then accidentally feel in it.
Dakota then came carrying a bucket of grease which she pours it into an open grave.
"Hey!" Sam said.
Dakota then asked. "Sam?"
"Dakota! How's it going?" He then asked to look cool infront of her.
"Sorry about the booby trap. Chris made me fill it with kitchen grease." She said.
Maggots are seen falling into the grave with Sam. "Hey that must be attracting these giant maggots! Hey that tickles! AH hey! That doesn't." He winced in pain as the Maggots started to bite him.
"Why does it make that so squirmy? I feel like...apologising? If this is what it means to feel bad for someone else then, I don't like it! I'm out!" Dakota walks out not liking the weird feeling.
"Wait! A little help?" The gamer asks before getting bitten by a maggot.
Chris is seen watching all of this on his cameras before laughing and turning towards the camera."Will anyone even make it to the spooky cave and if so, how can they possibly make it all the way to the finish line?" He takes a sip of his drink. "Less brain, more pain!" He laughs and takes another slip of his drink.
Sam then yells over the speakers. "Ow! This is agony!"
