"Wakey, wakey, Jakey, Jakey" said Izzy, as she moved the curtains to let the sunlight flow into the dark bedroom. You could say that she's made it part of her morning routine to wake up Jake at 9 a.m.

"Good morning, Izz. Still calling me that, I see" Jake replied, half-asleep and half-annoyed.

"It rhymes, I'll give her that" said Cubby, coming out of the bathroom after taking a bath.

"Oi, dry your hair properly!" Skully scolded, throwing a towel on Cubby's head.

It's been a week or so since they moved into their new home, which they decided to call "Pirate Island", considering its history and all. Cleaning the place up was hard. Since it was abandoned for so long, it's accumulated a lot of dust, and some parts of the place needed fixing. Our team worked hard together to fix the place up. The moving part was easy, since they didn't have a lot of things. They found a good room to make a bed room, and they had decided to share it.

"So, what are you guys planning on doing today?" Cubby asked, listening to Skully and drying his hair.

"I'm planning on cleaning that room we haven't checked out yet" Izzy informed. The was a door that they hadn't opened yet, as they were too tired to.

"Any helpers?" Izzy asked, hoping someone would volunteer.

"I don't have anything special to do" said Skully.

"Um fehee!" Jake shouted from the bathroom. He was brushing his teeth and spoke with the brush still in his mouth.

"What?" asked a confused Skully.

After spitting the paste out, he repeated. "I'm free"

"I have homework" said Cubby, sadly. It was compulsory that children go to school starting from age 7 to 13, to learn how to survive in the world, and Cubby here didn't like it very much.

"You guys are so lucky that you finished school!" Cubby said, taking his books to get started on his homework right away so that he could finish it early.

"Well, I'll start at noon, so join me if you can!" Izzy said before heading to the kitchen. It was her turn to make breakfast.

Fast forward to noon, Izzy got the supplied needed to get on with the cleaning. And surprise, no one shows up!

"I cannot believe those slackers" she muttered under her breath.

"Don't give up on us just yet, Izz!" Jake said from behind the corner, startling Izzy.

"I'm here!" Skully said, flying to Jake and Izzy.

"Homework, finished. Mission, accomplished!" Cubby said cheerfully.

"Hey, you guys showed up! I was starting to think you wouldn't. Let's go inside and see what we're working with" said Izzy, turning the handle and opening the door.

"What the…?" Izzy whispered, getting inside the room, if you could call it that. It looked like a cave, or a cavern.

"This place is no room…" Skully said, flying in.

"This is so cool!" Cubby shouted, waving his arm around.

"A ship!" Jake exclaimed, before running towards a ship that looked completely abandoned. It was in a small lake that was connected to the ocean, but the exit was blocked by the waterfall! The way they built this was amazing! Our crew yet again caught themselves gaping at the amazing architecture.

"Guys! Look!" Jake shouted, as he boarded the boat and stared at the piece of paper stuck on the mast.

The Buccaneer. Careful, mate. He bites

"He bites?" Cubby asked.

"I guess this ship's name is "The Buccaneer". But I don't get the last line" Izzy said, thinking. You could practically see the gears turning in her head.

"Seems like some kinda warning. I'm getting outta here!" said Skully, but he didn't fly away. He wanted to, but he didn't want to abandon his friends too.

They were all digging through their head for any clue of what the note meant. The room was quiet for some time before they suddenly heard a sound. It came from behind them and it was loud. They quickly turned around, but found nothing.

"What was that?!" Cubby said, running behind Jake and Izzy.

"Don't be scared Cubby" Jake comforted.

"It sounded like… a bell ringing?" Izzy doubted, and they heard it again.

"Aah!" Cubby shrieked.

"Yeah, it sure is a bell" Jake confirmed.

"It's coming from up there!" Skully said, flying up to the top of the ship where a yellow bell was.

"It's probably just the wind" Izzy brushed off. But what our group of heroes didn't know was that today, it was clear weather with no wind at all.

They continued exploring the ship. There was a bottom deck, which was used as a storage room with windows for long journeys. A cabin was at the back, where people could use as a resting place. On the roof of the cabin, there was the steering wheel and a small place to stand. At the front of the ship, there was another place where you could stand and enjoy the blue sea. Other than the very destroyed sail and dust on the ship, everything seemed to be in perfect shape.

"You know… If we fix this thing up, we'd be able to actually use it" said Jake, and the others agreed.

"I'll go and see if we have something we could use as a sail" said Cubby, going to the storage room. They had found a lot of things when they moved in here, and had stuffed all of that in the storage room.

"Haah!" Izzy felt a push, and she stumbled forward and close to the edge. She was about to fall forward onto the ground, but Jake caught her in time.

"You okay? What was that?" Jake asked, concerned.

"I-I don't… I don't know. It was as if somebody pushed me…" she said, looking back to where she was last standing.

"But who would do that?" Skully asked, landing on the railing that Izzy was standing against.

"This is so weird… First that bell, now this," said Jake.

"Guys! I found a huge cloth we could use!" Cubby shouted, returning.

"Well, we should split the jobs. Two of us can sew while the others clean this place up," said Izzy.

They did just that, with Izzy and Cubby sewing (they were the only ones who knew how to) and Jake and Skully cleaning. The got the jobs half done by the end of the day and restarted it the next day in the morning.

"We're done!" Izzy said. She and Cubby's fingers were close to falling off from all the sewing.

"We're done too" Skully said. Jake and him were exhausted from all of that cleaning. But they were all satisfied with the result.

"Come help us with fixing the sail, guys!" said Cubby, and Jake and Skully boarded the boat to help with the sail. It was a striped blue and white cloth with a gold doubloon in the middle.

After fixing the sail, the crew stood back to look at it.

"This looks good!" Cubby said, feeling proud of his work.

"It sure does! Good job, you two!" Jake complimented. He was about to ask them to show him how to sew one day in return to teaching them to sail when something happened.

"What's happening?" Cubby shouted, er, asked, clinging onto Jake.

"The ship! It's moving on its own!" Izzy stated the obvious. Even though she looked calm on the outside, she was holding onto the railing for dear life.

"I knew something was wrong!" Jake said, slowly walking to the mast to steady himself.

"This ship's haunted!" Skully exclaimed.

The ship was heading straight to the waterfall.

"We're gonna get wet!" Jake shouted. He was thinking of jumping off, which was not the best idea in the world. You'd get quite an injury if you jumped from this height. But at the same time, if this ship going to sail off into the middle of the ocean, that'd be bad too.

But they didn't get wet at all. Instead, the waterfall opened in the middle, like a curtain, and let the ship go through. After the ship got out, the waterfall curtain closed again.

"Woah… Gotta admit, that's cool," said Izzy.

"How is that even possible?" Jake asked.

"Probably some smart stuff" said Cubby eyeing the closing waterfall.

"Haha, Cubby! You were all scaredy pants!" Jake teased.

"Jake, you were scared of getting wet" Skully stated, remembering the terrified look on Jake's face.

"Well, we're still in this ship and it's still sailing somehow!" said Izzy. "How though? This is not just the wind"

"Maybe we can find something in the cabin or lower deck?" Jake suggested.

"We already checked that, didn't we? We didn't find anything…" said Skully.

"Yes, true. But maybe we missed something… Hmm… What if we try steering it with the wheel?" Jake suggested. That was the only idea he had.

The group agreed to try steering the boat. Jake got hold of the wheel, and when he turned it, the ship turned it to the other side. Jake tried again to steer it, but the wheel wouldn't budge the second time. Izzy thought of trying to bring down the sails. They tried hard to lower the sails with the rope, but that didn't work either. Skully tried to peck at the sails, but they just kept moving away. Cubby tried dropping the anchor, but it just came back up.

"Nothing we try is working!" Cubby cried.

"What do we do?" asked Skully.

"I don't know…," said Izzy.

They were all exhausted, and were in the middle of who knows where.

"Guys, look!" Jake said, going near a barrel that was beside the mast. He reached inside and pulled out a small book. It was labeled "The Buccaneer".

"Huh… Must have missed this" Izzy said, walking to Jake to look at the book.

Jake opened the book and started reading.

Forged by the most brilliant ship builder and wizard, the Buccaneer continues to sail the seven seas. He sails on his own, but you'll have to earn his trust if you wish to sail him. Some say he's a ghost ship, while some say he's a treasure. Good luck, you'll need it!

"A ghost ship?!" Cubby said.

"Or a treasure" Izzy added.

"We'll have to earn his trust?" Skully asked. "How're we supposed to do that?"

Jake was about to give and answer when they heard a canon fire from the distance. It was foggy and night time, but they could see the silhouette of a ship. This one was way bigger than the Buccaneer. When it came closer, they could see that there were people in there.

"Well, well, well… Look who we have here! A group of puny pirates!" said the captain, a tall man wearing worn out clothes and wielding a sword.

The ship got closer, and it looked like it was a band of pirates. They got a good look at their enemies, when they realized that these people weren't normal. They were…

"Skeletons! Skeleton Pirates! We're in the Schelet Peninsula!" said Izzy.

"It's a remote island inhabited by skeleton souls! How did we reach here?" Cubby asked, looking around. No one had time to answer, because another cannon fired.

This time, it almost hit them, but the ship moved aside in time. The group didn't know what to do, since it was the first time that something like this has happened to them and since they were caught off guard. But the ship knew what to do. It sent a bridge that was attached to itself onto the enemy ship, clearly saying that they go aboard.

"It wants us to fight?!" Cubby shouted.

"But we don't have any good weapons" Jake said, and the boat lifted a plank to reveal a box of weapons.

"Now we do" Izzy said, taking a sling shot. Jake grabbed a sword, Cubby took a bow and a set of arrows, and Skully didn't take anything. He decided to just peck them. His beak is his deadliest weapon, he believed.

They were all trained in hand-to-hand combat, as that was one of the compulsory subjects you had to take in school. They boarded the ship, but these skeleton pirates were no joke. They could fight. Jake went straight for the captain, because if the captain surrenders, the whole crew will.

He slashed his sword at the captain. The skeleton captain deflected it but stumbled back a bit. Jake saw this as an opportunity to use. He used his sword to knock the captain's sword out of his hands.

Meanwhile, Izzy was using the hanging ropes to swing from place to place to launch stones at the crew members. This confused the pirates, and some started fighting each other.

Cubby was launching his arrows at the skeletons who were manning the cannons. Though he was missing on purpose, the skeletons were scared and ran away from the cannons.

Skully was pecking at the pirates who were trying to hurt his friends. It was easy for him as he could fly. The pirates started running left and right.

But Jake and his friends could fight off these pirates for only so long… They started getting tired, and the skeletons just kept coming. What do we do?

The Buccaneer seemed to notice this, so he went back a but and came with such force towards the enemy boat that when he stopped, a huge wave came and splashed everyone on the boat. And since the skeletons didn't weigh much, they all fell overboard. Some tried to hold on, but their grips weren't tight enough.

"You'll all pay for thiiisss!" were the captain's last words, before he too fell overboard.

"Well, that's one enemy made" Jake said, helping Cubby up.

"I'm all wet!" said Skully, sitting on Izzy.

The Buccaneer rang its bell to call them back.

"I think… that's how we earn it's trust" said Jake, boarding the ship.

"The Buccaneer… what a long name" Cubby commented.

"You wanna call him something else?" Izzy asked.

"Not something completely different… Why not try shortening it?" Skully suggested.

"How does… Bucky sound?" Jake asked, and the ship replied with a ring.

"He likes it! Bucky likes it!" Skully cheered, and they sailed back to Pirate Island happily.

Author's Note:

Hey there!

Ugh! It's long again! This one's even longer than the first one. Well, I don't know what to do. I actually planned on splitting it into two parts or something, but just went with this. Feel free to tell me how you feel about it!

This time, it's about how they met their beloved ship, Bucky!

Thanks for reviewing, Yavuz! I'm glad you like it!

And Husmoh, thank you for reviewing too! And, I like your idea! It's just one doubt. Are you going to be writing it?, because if you are, then I'd love to read it. Or, are you giving me an idea? Because I would be happy to write it too! Please clear it up, and thanks again for the review!

With that being said, I hope you have a good day, sayonara!
