Writers note: Hello again! I was gonna save this for Friday. But I'm waiting for my mom to pick me up from school... and well I'm broad. Im going to update every Friday if I can finish that Chapter. For this FanFic I most likely keep it up. Bit after that I can't promise anything. As I said I'm in school. And I don't know how often I will be able to get things up. Anakin had been missing for three days. Three days that had merged together for Obi-wan. Who hadn't slept since Skywalker had ran off.

"Hey! Obi! Hows the search go- oh." Quin-lan said walking in Obi-wan's room.

Obi-wan look at Quin-lan. "What?"

Quin-lan laughed at that. "You look like you haven't slept since the day Yoda was born! Random question. When was the last time you slept?"

"I really don't know." Obi-wan shrugged. "I kind of-"

"Been busy looking for your Padawan? Well there's one problem with that."

"What? That he's not here?"

"Well that. And. Um how should I put this?"

"Quin…"

"You know that one assignment you were given before… before this all happened. Well the Council wanted the both of us to do it. Like now."

Obj-wan jumped up. "They expect me to completely abandon my Padawan! He's gone missing! He's a danger to himself and others! They really expect me to leave him!"

"Master YODA wanted both of us to go. My thinking is that there is a reason why. There always is. Besides it's there and back. It shouldn't take no more then a day. Come on Obi, it doesn't look like he is going to show up anytime soon. And you NEED sleep."

"Fine. There and back. Thats all. No detours. Got it."

"Got it. Come on let's go."

"Hey! Sleeping beauty! Wake up!"

"What?" Obi-wan woke up, siting up he looked at Quin-lan "How long have I been asleep?"

"You were out before we even left the system! Seriously you could have been mistaken for unconscious! Geez, I get one all nighter, but three! That's one to many!"

"I get it. I get it. So what are we supposed to get?"

"A datapad, with info of some kind. You can read the datapad if you really want to know."

Obi-wan got up and read the datapad. The assignment simple: 1: go to Totwan 2: get the datapad 3: go back. It didn't have anything to do with the information that it cantoned.

"Quin? Did you get the wrong datapad, again."

Quin-lan looked up from the controls. "First off, what do you mean again?! Second off, no I was given that by Master Yoda."

"I can name many times where you had the wrong datapad. But there is no location except Totwan. And that planet is barely in habitat! What could the Council want from them. They clearly said they wanted to be left alone for a few years. And there is no saying what is on the datapad. I'm thinking that this a wild bantan chase!"

"Wow, even with sleep you're cranky."

"Quin! I'm not kidding! I say we contact the Council before we do anything else."

"Okay. Geez. Fine." He turned back to the holenet. "Quin-lan Voss to Jedi Council, is anybody there?"

Mace Windu appeared on the holenet. "Mace Windu to Quin-lan Voss. What do you need?"

Before Quin-lan could say anything Obi-wan spoke. "We have a few questions about the assignment we were given by Master Yoda."

Windu seemed surprised that he had said Master Yoda and not the Council. Maybe another reason why this assignment seemed so fake. "What are your questions?"

"I understand that Totwan is a newly fromed system." Obi-wan started. "I also understand that they wanted time before they decided if they wanted to join the Republic. That being said, why would we need to get a datapad from them?"

"They wanted the decision to be private."

"With that being said, there is no other location either then the planet. And if I might add there is nothing regarding the information that is on the data-"

"The datapad has their PRIVATE decision on if they would to join the Republic or not. And that should be enough for the both of you."

Quin-lan got up from his chair. "I'm going to go get popcorn." He said walking out.

"I understand that Master. But if their decision is to be private, then why don't they want to contact the Canceller. Or for that matter just come to Corusont themselves!"

"They wanted a Jedi to give them the message."

"If that were so, why send two Jedi? This is an assignment for one Jedi."

"If you just want to come back to the temple, to continue looking for your Padawan-"

"When did Anakin's disappearance have anything to do with this!"

"You seemed to nitpick this assignment as if you want to come back to the temple, and that these people decisions doesn't matter!"

"I understand-"

"You understand nothing if you are acting like this! Your assignment is go to go Totwan get the datapad and come back! That should be enough for you and Voss!"

"Master this assignment seems to be made up-"

"Are you saying that the Council assigned you an assignment just to get you off world!"

"That is exactly what I'm saying!"

"Pure entertainment." Quin-lan said, he had been sitting there with popcorn listening the whole time.

Saying this he got a "Shut it Quin!" From Obi-wan. And a "Quiet Voss!" From Windu.

"Master Windu, this assignment we were given is fake. I wished to come back to Corusont and speak to Master Yoda about this."

Windu looked like he wanted to punch Obi-wan. "As you wish."

"Give you a false assignment, I did not. Switch the datapad might have been." Master Yoda said looking at Obi-wan and Quin-lan.

"But Master, how." Obi-wan said, there was no way something like this could have happened.

"Three days, the assignment was left undone. Came in to change it, someone could have."

"Who then?"

Quin-lan jumped in. "Skywalker?"

"In the temple Skywalker is not. Came in to changed the datapad, caught he would have been. A word I wished to have with Kenobi."

"Yes Master." Quin-lan said. "See you at lunch Obi."

"See you." Obi-wan watch his friend walk out, turning back to Yoda he said. "What do you need Master."

"Found, your Padawan is."

Excitement rushed though Obi-wan. "You know where he is!"

"Yes, but darker his finding was."

"What do you mean?"

"A message your Padawan has sent for you."

An uneasy feeling replaced his excitement. "May I see it?"
