"Thank you Alexis for coming with us. You didn't have to." Shadow says as the group is walking.
"You're definitely a lot nicer than Riley." Sassy says.
"Riley has his reasons just like we have ours for acting how we do. I may be a wolf but I still try to see the best in others if I can. Doesn't mean I just trust without thinking it through though." Alexis says.
"You're a wolf? I thought you smelled a little on the wild side." Shadow says.
"Yeah. Sorry. If it's a problem I can leave." Alexis says.
"I never said it was a problem. You're just a little different but it's okay." Shadow says.
"Really? Wow. You're the first dog who's ever trusted me so willingly before without Riley having to tell them it's okay." Alexis says in surprise.
"You seem close to him. Mate I take it?" Shadow asks.
"Oh no! Riley is just like a younger brother for me. Why?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Just curious. Uh-oh this doesn't look good. That boy we met lives here." Shadow says as the group sees a house burning with men holding a man and woman back.
"Their boy. He must be inside." Alexis says hearing the mother and father shouting.
"Oh Shadow! How awful." Sassy says.
"I'm going in!" Shadow says as he goes inside the house.
"Wait what?" Alexis asks.
"Shadow no!" Sassy shouts as Alexis sees Riley and the gang.
"Riley!" Alexis says as she runs over to Riley.
"You see that? That fool Shadow's gonna get himself killed!" Sledge says.
"And for a human? It doesn't make any sense." Riley says.
"Now the cat's in." Sledge says.
"What's wrong with these pets?" Riley asks.
"Come on Shadow, Sassy. Make it out. Please." Alexis thinks before she and the others see Shadow and Sassy bring out a human boy and a kitten.
"Yo Shadow! Over here!" Riley says as Shadow and Sassy come over.
"Yo Shadow. You the dog! You the dog!" Slegde says.
"Yeah you're pretty brave. I mean for a-a-a-a pet." Stokey says.
"Brave huh? Let me ask you something. You think a human would've done that for you?" Riley asks.
"My boy Peter would." Shadow says.
"Your humans must be pretty special ones then." Alexis says happily.
"They are." Sassy says.
"Hey you guys you're all right. Well let's head on home gang. You know you two are to hang with us." Riley says.
"Uh gee are you sure pets are allowed?" Sassy asks.
"I think this time we can make an exception." Riley says as the group leaves.
