"How'd it go?" Alexis asks as she goes over to Shadow after seeing him talk to Delilah.
"She doesn't want to let him go. I just hope she'll understand and make the right choice." Shadow says as he sighs.
"You know I wish you could stay. I really like you Shadow." Alexis says.
"I like you too Alexis... but I'm an old dog. You still have time left. You shouldn't get mixed up with me. I don't want to do that to you. Besides Riley is right. We are pets and you guys aren't. It's better if we leave as soon as we can." Shadow says as Alexis gives a sad look.
"Oh no! It's the bIood-red van!" Sledge shouts as everyone runs and scrambles upstairs and hides.
"Hey where's Chance?" Alexis asks as she doesn't see Chance.
"They have him." Shadow says as everyone begins to run outside.
"Shadow!" Chance shouts from outside.
"Hold on Chance. We're comin' for ya." Shadow says.
"They've got him! Oh Shadow I should've to you." Delilah says sadly as the group makes it outside too late.
"Come on posse. We'II cut 'em off at the pass. Okay everybody up. We can stop 'em but we got to figure a way to get Chance out." Riley says.
"Uh excuse me but the cat has a plan." Sassy says as everyone listens to her plan before making it to the pass and getting the van to stop.
"Okay get ready Sassy." Shadow says.
"Shadow, I was born ready." Sassy says as the van begins heading for them.
"Hold your ground! Don't move! Now scatter!" Riley shouts as everyone scatters last minute before luring the men away from the van.
"Show them your teeth." Shadow says as he growls.
"With pleasure." Alexis says as she growls.
"They hate that." Delilah says as the group begins attacking and chasing the two humans as the others send the van into the water.
"What happened to your paw?" Chance asks as he comes over seeing Bando licking Delilah's paw.
"You hush up. You nearly got us killed. Why don't you beat it?" Bando asks angrily.
"Beat it?" Chance asks.
"Oh Chance he's right. You don't here in the city." Delilah says.
"Delilah what are you saying?" Chance asks.
"It was fun while it lasted. But let's face it. Y-You're a pet." Delilah says.
"What? You're not serious." Chance says in disbelief.
"She is serious about me. So get lost." Bando says as he licks Delilah causing her to laugh and giggle.
"I don't this. Good-bye DeIiIah." Chance says as he starts to leave.
"Chance wait!" Shadow shouts.
"Just leave me alone old-timer. I don't need you, or Sassy, or her. I don't need anybody. I'm here." Chance says as he leaves.
"You had to let him go. It was the best thing to do." Shadow says as he looks at Delilah.
"Yeah? Then why do I feel so bad?" Delilah asks as she leaves.
"Where you heading Alexis?" Riley asks as he sees Alexis walking off.
"With Delilah. They're going home right? Why stick around if it only hurts." Alexis says as she follows after Delilah.
