AUTHOR'S NOTE: Naoko Takeuchi created Sailor Moon, and I didn't. This is just my latest reboot of my alternate universe Sailor Moon fanfiction. Also, I'm not really into doing same sex shipping, but I have to admit Ami Mizuno/Amy Anderson and Makoto Kino/Lisa Kino do make a cute couple.

SAILOR MOON: A HERO FOR THE 1980S

CHAPTER 10: QUEST FOR THE RAINBOW CRYSTALS #4: TERESA

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 1986

EL DORADO HIGH SCHOOL, PLACENTIA, CALIFORNIA

7:30 AM

Mina Aino was talking to a friend, when Jerry Logue passed them as he entered the campus. "Good morning, Jerry," Mina said.

"Morning," Jerry said, as he went to the boy's locker room to put his helmet in his locker. "Mina, Julie."

"Anyways, Mina, I'll see you two in class," Julie said, as Mina ran off.

A couple minutes later, Mina intercepted Jerry as he came out of the locker room. "I spy, with my little eye," Mina said, "someone in dire need of a hug right now."

"I'm guessing that person is me," Jerry said.

"I heard about you and Amy," Mina said, as she gave Jerry a hug, which he returned. "Anyways, how are you doing?"

"Believe it or not," Jerry said, "I'm feeling a little better. Trust me, when I'm down in the dumps, and I need something to bring me up, a hug from Mina Aino does it for me better than all the cold gin in the world. So how did you hear about me and Amy, anyways?"

"Artemis told me," Mina said. "He said he heard it from Luna. He said Amy had feelings for someone else."

"Did he tell you who Amy has feelings for?" Jerry asked.

"Yeah," Mina said. "Lisa Kino."

"The reason Amy broke up with me is one thing," Jerry said, "but the fact I don't find it weird you learned about it from your cat is another story entirely."

"What do you mean by that?" Mina asked.

"The fact you told me your cat spoke to you," Jerry said, "and I'm not thinking you're in serious need of a checkup from the neck up, or that you belong in the funny farm."

"I find it strange that I have a talking cat," Mina said, "and I'm the one with the talking cat."

"I'm glad I have you as a best friend," Jerry said.

"Wanna go do something this weekend?" Mina asked.

'"Can't," Jerry said. "My mom got tickets to the Angels game on Saturday night, she and I are going with my uncle Marty and aunt Paula. Of course, there's no way my mom is going to miss seeing the Angels in the playoffs. I know you know her, but ever since she saw them clinch the A.L. West back in 1982, her religion has been the California Angels."

Meanwhile, in another part of the campus, Amy Anderson and Lisa Kino are talking. "You told your mom about us yet?" Lisa asked.

"Not yet," Amy said. "And that's only because I haven't had a chance to. She pulled an all-niter at the hospital last night, and she got home about 5 minutes before I left for school, so I'm going to talk to her this weekend."

"Why not after school?" Lisa asked. "She's not working today, is she?"

"No," Amy said, "but tomorrow is when they're separating the Mendoza twins."

"I read about them," Lisa said. "Siamese twins from Uruguay, their parents brought them to the United States to have them separated."

"And my mom's leading the surgical team," Amy said. "This surgery is the main reason we moved to California in the first place."

"I heard your mom's one of the finest surgeons on the West Coast," Lisa said, "But why her leading the team?"

"Because she's the only member of the team who's ever participated in separating Siamese twins," Amy said. "I don't want her thinking about anything else right now, Separating the Mendoza's won't be easy, it's a pretty complicated procedure, and they're estimating it should take anywhere between 24-36 hours.

ARTHUR'S COFFEE SHOP LA HABRA, CALIFORNIA

9:30 AM

As Fred McFeely Rogers, aka the titular Mister Rogers from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood used to sing, October 11, 1986 was definitely a beautiful day in the neighborhood where Sharon Husted lived with her daughter Debbie, and occasionally, her son Jerry. Such a beautiful day, in fact, the three of them decided that since it was only on the other side of Harbor Boulevard, they would walk to Arthur's for breakfast. At least, Sharon and Jerry decided they would walk. Debbie only agreed to walk when she realized neither her mom or brother would drive her. The three of them walked to the restaurant, When they got there, it wasn't too busy, so they were seated within a couple minutes. The three of them got coffee, actually Jerry got coffee, while Sharon and Debbie got decaf. Jerry put sugar in his, Debbie put cream and sugar, and Sharon put cream. After a few minutes, they ordered. Jerry got country fried steak and eggs(over easy) with plain potatoes, biscuits with a side of gravy, and a large orange juice. Debbie got a mushroom and cheese omelet, with plain potatoes, white toast, and a large OJ. Sharon got bacon(not crisp, thank you) and eggs(over easy) with plain potatoes, sourdough toast, and a large OJ.

After breakfast, they went to Pic-N-Save. Actually, Sharon and Jerry went to Pic-N-Save, Debbie ran into a friend from school, who was there with her mother, who invited Debbie to hang out for the day, and ended up leaving with her friend. Sharon and Jerry picked up a few items there, mostly school supplies, such as paper, ball point pens, leads for Jerry's mechanical pencil, and a couple binders. They also picked up some snacks, and a few bottles of sarsaparilla that Jerry particularly liked, checked out, and went home.

As soon as they got home, Jerry grabbed a bottle of sarsaparilla, opened it with the bottle opener on his key ring, and went to his room. As soon as he closed the door, his communicator went off. "Big Bird here," he said, as he answered it.

"Big Bird, this is Oracle," Staci Abbot said. "I just got a vision of Endymion's next victim. You and Mina actually know her, she's a couple years older than you, she lives just down the street from where your mom lives, her name is Teresa Bickford."

"I know who it is," Jerry said. "If Endymion harms a hair on her head, I'm going to tear his head off and dropkick it over the horizon. But before I tear his head off, I'm going to gouge his eyes out and skullfuck him. And after I tear his head off, just before I dropkick it over the horizon, I'm going to shit down his neck."

"Aren't we being hostile today," Staci said.

"Endymion made it personal the second he turned me into a giant bird,' Jerry said. "I have every reason in the world to want to see him dead, and believe me, the side of me that's going to come out if he harms any of my friends is going to give Freddy Kruger nightmares."

"Okay, so you're protective of your friends," Staci said.

"Anyways," Jerry said. "let the other girls know, and tell them we found our next victim. You know when he;s going to attack?"

"I'd say within the hour," Staci said.

Twenty minutes later, Jerry went out back to get something out of the garage, when he heard a woman's screams, and estimated the woman to be around 18-19. "The shit just hit the fan!" he barked into his communicator, as he dropped a couple smoke pellets at his feet, surrounding him with gold smoke, which concealed both his transformation into Golden Hawk, and his teleportation down the street, where Endymion had his black crystal pointed at Teresa Bickford. "Leave her alone!" Golden Hawk said, as Sailor Venus arrived, followed almost immediately by the other Sailor Soldiers.

"There's one little problem with that," Endymion said, firing a beam of energy from his black crystal at Teresa, drawing the Green Rainbow Crystal from her body. "Your friend has something I want," he continued, as he grabbed the crystal as it left her body."I'd like to stay and chat, but I have a cake in the oven," he said, as he disappeared.

"Come back here and fight like a man!" Golden Hawk yelled, as Endymion made his exit.

"You guys remember what happens whenever Endymion uses his little black crystal thingy, don't you?" Sailor Mars asked, as Teresa was transformed into something that could best be described as having the starring role in a nightmare.

"Stop her, weaken her so that we can change her back, but don't harm her," Golden Hawk said.

"Don't worry," Sailor Venus said, "she's my friend too."

"Mercury Bubble Blast!" Sailor Mercury said, harmlessly attacking the creature with bubbles.

"Mars Fire Surround!" Sailor Mars said, surrounding the creature with flames.

"Jupiter Thunderball!" Sailor Jupiter said, throwing a low powered ball of lightning at the creature.

"Venus Love-Me Chain, Encircle!" Sailor Venus said, using her chain to lasso the creature.

"There's one, set for stun," Golden Hawk said, transforming his staff into a blaster, and channeling a low power blast of his own energy from it that hit the creature.

"Moon Healing Escalation!" Sailor Moon said, firing a beam of white energy from her Moon Stick, transforming the creature back into Teresa Bickford.

"What happened?" Teresa asked.

"You were the host of one of the Rainbow Crystals," Sailor Moon said. "When it was taken from your body, you were transformed into a Great Beast, and we saved you, and restored you to normal."

"So why not introduce me to your friends, Golden Hawk?" Teresa asked. "Or should I say, Jerry Logue."
