The team rushed to Jax. Well apart from Gary, Ava and Zari who didn't know Jax that well. Constantine patted him on the back rather than hugging because he had only really seen him once. The group split from the hug after a long while. It was nice to have Jax back especially after how they parted last time.

"It's good to see you guys too." Jax said, smiling from ear to ear.

"I'm guessing you sent us the message then." Mick said, trying to give his best Mick smile.

"Yeah I was in the area and I thought why not?" Jax shrugged.

"Well we weren't but we do respond to any message especially from you." Sara punched Jax on the arm.

"I thought you would."

"So is Star City burning to the ground? Have you noticed any difference in history we might need to deal with?" Zari mentioned still keeping a bit of a distance.

"Can't we visit an old friend Zari?!" Constantine crossed his arms.

"We can but I'd rather have a mission to do right now. So Jax?"

"I don't have a mission for you guys but I was hoping you might let someone join you for a while?" Jax answered, smiling awkwardly.

The legends looked at each other. Jax stood there waiting for an answer. He could never tell what the others were thinking especially with the new edition as well. Sara had the most untelling face. Her face was completely blank and almost angry. So even though the news was good she wasn't giving it away.

"Well what do you guys think?" Jax asked after a while of silence from the group.

"I mean we could always do with another member of the legends." Constantine said sarcastically.

"And we can't say no to having another person to watch over us when we're on a mission." Ray picked up.

Sara nodded at both of these responses. As she was captain however, it was her decision that was final. She then smiled again and opened her arms.

"Welcome back Jax." Sara chuckled, hugging Jax again.

This was met with cheer as Jax was finally back. The legends couldn't stop talking as they walked back to the Waverider. Jax had a lot to tell them and they had a lot of missions to tell Jax about.

"I seem to have missed a lot then." Jax said a bit sadly.

"Don't worry, I'm sure another mission just as exciting will come along as soon as we get back." Zari said happily, expecting Jax.

"Better than being stuck in space." Gary reminded everyone.

"Alright Gary!" Ava rolled her eyes.

"Maybe an easier one. I mean not like I don't want to get back to the action or anything…"

"We'll let you in gently." Sara tutted at Jax's attitude.

Gary pulled Ava to one side as they got closer to the Waverider. Ava was surprised by this but Gary was always surprising her so this wasn't too out of the blue. The look on his face however, when he did was a little worrying.

"What's wrong?" Ava whispered as the rest of the legends got onto the Waverider without them.

"It's this new guy Jax. Do you think we can trust him?" Gary asked, putting his hands on his hips.

"Yes. Why shouldn't we? You're not scared of him are you?"

"I'm not scared per say. Just I think he might have an altiere motif."

"Oh my gosh Gary! You think everyone nowadays is conspiring against us. What was it that started it? Spy games in Russia?" Ava laughed.

"Very funny. I just think we should be cautious." Gary shrugged.

"It's Jax and if Sara and the others trust him then I think we should too. Now come on, we don't want to be left behind."

Gary went to say something else but Ava was already gone before he could. He sighed as he looked over to the Waverider. It was certainly going to change onboard.

Sara was showing Jax around the Waverider and getting him a room with now quite a full ship. Jax had felt a bit out of place when he had first arrived but now being back, he felt like he had never left. Sara could see something was missing from her friend's eyes though.

"So what have you been up to?" Sara tried to put a hop back in Jax's step.

"Not much. I mostly stayed low and helped the Arrow out where I could. Barry and his team here and there as well." Jax seemed quite proud.

"Barry hey! You have got about a bit."

"Yeah I…." Jax stopped when they passed the library.

Sara could already tell why he had stopped. When Jax was on the team when he had left, Stein had spent a lot of time in the library. She could tell he missed Stein a lot.

"Let's get you to your quarters." Sara tried to pull Jax away.

"Do you miss him?" Jax asked, sort of whispering.

"Of course I do."

"Do you ever speak of him? Like with the newbies or anything?" Jax stared at Sara with water in his eyes.

"I suppose not but I guess we've been a bit busy. I would have done." Sara shook her head feeling a little guilty.

"Yeah I guess." Jax said, walking past her to his old quarters.

"I'm afraid that's not where I was thinking."

"Oh?"

Sara took Jax's arm. She then took Jax to the closest quarters to the bridge. It wasn't the biggest or the nicest place in the Waverider but it would do for now. True Jax just wanted to be back on the team rather than fighting over where he was going to sleep for the night.

"Thanks Captain. I'll be on the bridge in a minute." Jax told Sara.

"Don't call me that! Makes me feel weird." Sara laughed as she left Jax to get unpacked.

Jax thanked her and started to look around his room. It was certainly good to be back even if it had changed a bit. New teammates to get used to. He unpacked everything and then left towards the bridge. Hopefully they had a mission to do soon.

Ava was still thinking over what Gary had told her when Sara kissed her on the cheek to bring her back to earth. Ava smiled weakly when Sara found her in the mess hall. Ava was sipping a cup of coco and Sara had gone to find her after not seeing her on the bridge. Ava was one of the first people to the bridge when they were needed.

"Hey, why are you here?" Sara asked as she knelt down next to Ava.

"Just thinking." Ava sighed.

"That's dangerous, you know. Thinking about what?"

"Just something Gary said earlier. It's nothing though, probably overthinking it."

"That bad?"

"Something like that. Still we've got work to do." Ava slapped her knees and got up from her seat.

"You'd tell me if something was wrong wouldn't you?" Sara caught Ava's arm.

"Yeah course and I know you'd do the same." Ava gave a little smirk.

Sara shook her head and followed Ava back to the bridge. Everything they had discussed could wait. History needed them now.

000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Mick paced the floor of the bridge waiting for everyone to turn up. Constantine was watching him getting a bit concerned. Mick usually was the last to turn up when a mission was starting. So why was he now turning up early? He was thrown out of this thought when Ava and Sara appeared with Jax just behind.

"How long has he been here?" Sara asked Constantine, staring at Mick.

"Long enough."

Mick had stopped pacing but was now trying to smile. That just made it worse. Gary, Zari, Ray and Nate then turned up. Charlie was still missing but after how she was acting to find Jax none of them were surprised.

"So where are we headed this time?" Gary put his hands together.

A warning light and siren then sounded throughout the ship.

"Is lunch ready or something?" Jax jokes.

"That's the warning alarm for the cargo bay. Nate, Ray and Jax go and check what's wrong." Sara told them.

They nodded and left for the cargo bay. They were lucky to have Jax if something had gone wrong with the cargo bay. He knew everything about it. Another warning signal came up on the center screen which made Sara sigh heavily.

"Where is it this time?" Gary asked, already getting Ava ready to go wherever they were needed.

"Med bay. Gideon says something's wrong with it." Sara said as Ava and Gary rushed out of the bridge.

"What is going on?" Constantine asked, shaking his head.

"Jax to Sara." Communication came through the screen.

"Sara here."

"We can't see any problem in the cargo bay. Looks like it was a false alarm."

"Thank goodness. Alright make your way back here."

"Yes captain. Hang on…"

"Jax? What is it?"

"Nate shut the door…." The communication just left a crackle as Jax shouted something.

"Jax!" Sara shouted.

Sara looked over to Constantine as the alarm for the cargo bay door being open went off. Before long another door alarm was going off and then another.

"Legends hunker down and try to stay on the ship. Be careful!" Sara tried to get a communication through.

The rest of the crew left on the bridge tried to get to their seats to be safer than just standing around. Zari just about managed to reach her seat but the door opened and sucked both Constantine and Sara out into the time zortex. Mick was soon to follow. Zari tried to close the door and managed to shut it before she was sucked out as well.

"Oh no!" She sighed as she looked around the bridge finding she was all alone.
