CHAPTER 3 "Two Bells"

04:30 AM

Naruto was waiting for his teammates but he expected kakashi to be late by few hours. Then Sasuke came followed by Sakura whose eyes were not even open. Naruto gave food pills to his fellow teammates then they all discussed the plan and started to wait for their sensei. Naruto had already thought of multiple ways to take the bells all by himself, but the real challenge for him was to take the bells with his team.

08:45 AM

Kakashi finally showed up with two bells hanging on the side of his pant, exactly what Naruto said.

"You are late!" Sakura yelled at kakashi while Naruto and Sasuke were sitting there quietly.

"I am sorry, a black cat crossed my path so I had to take the long route." Kakashi said

Then he set the timer for noon and placed the clock on one of the wooden logs.

He then explained "Your test is to take these bells from me. You have 3 hours to take these. Come at me with the intent to kill or else you would not be able to pass." Kakashi was surprised that no one asked why there were only two bells. He thought that they were just ignorant. He then shouted "Your time starts now!" He then moved his hands to bring out his book, underestimating them.

Suddenly all 3 genins were in fighting position

Naruto then weaved the hand signs so fast that kakashi was unable to capture. He then slammed his hands on the ground and said "Earth Style: Prison Dome Jutsu". And in the next second kakashi was inside a big dome made of earth but the walls were infused with chakra that made them harder than steel. There was only a small hole in the wall. And before kakashi could understand the meaning of the hole Sasuke also weaved a hand sign an he placed his fingers before his mouth and said "Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu" and he blew a big ball of fire inside the dome from the hole. Kakashi quickly weaved the hand signs of a water style jutsu but he stopped in the middle as he knew that steam would just worsen the effect. He acknowledged Naruto for his well-set plan as he had left no room for escape, he even hardened the ground below him so that he could get away.

When Naruto called off his jutsu, Kakashi was heavily burned from all directions. Sasuke had managed not to give any fatal wounds to their new sensei. Kakashi was barely standing when Sakura punched him. Kakashi was knocked out and Naruto took the bells form him. The test ended in just 30 seconds, then they took kakashi to the infirmary.

The 3rd hokage was watching them from a distance, 'I could not expect less from Naruto, after all he is Minato's son and I trained him better than the sannins.'

Few hours later, Leaf Hospital

Kakashi had finally regained consciousness. He found himself on the bed of the hospital and his three subordinates staring at him.

"I hope Sasuke didn't hurt you much." Naruto said in monotone

"No, he didn't" Kakashi replied

"So, did we pass the test?" Sasuke asked

"I think you did since the main objective the test was to check that if you can work as a team under extreme pressure. And I think you did." Kakashi replied

"The doctor said that you will be fine in a week, so what should we do for the time being?" Sakura asked

Kakashi sighed "Since I am not able to lead the team, You guys get this week off."

Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura then left to room to let kakashi rest and they went off to their respective home.

Next day

"So, how did I performed, did I perform well?" Naruto asked the old man while sitting on the window of his office.

"Yes Naruto, you did very well, just as I expected from you but I didn't expect that you will defeat kakashi in that short period of time." the Sarutobi replied.

"So, when are you going to resume my training?" Naruto asked

Then he pulled out a piece of Paper with a seal on it. "Take off your jacket." Sarutobi said.

Then he placed the seal on Naruto's back and the said "It is a resistance seal which I just invented a few days ago, it is a level 5 seal that means you will feel 5 times greater resistance in doing anything let it be ninjutsu, Dojutsu, or Taijutsu. And now you will train with this on your back and after the next week, and I will also teach you a very special Jutsu. Is that okay with you?"

Naruto was struggling to stand, but he said "fine then, I will come next week" and then Naruto jumped off from the window. He somehow managed not to fall on the ground. Naruto then went off to train with Sasuke.

Somewhere in the Forest

"Fire Style: Fire Ball jutsu", Sasuke attacked Naruto

"Earth Style: Mud wall Jutsu" Naruto Defended

"What was that? You usually use water style to defend against my fire ball jutsu! And your movement is also slowed down, is something wrong with you?" Sasuke said while continuing with Taijutsu.

"Oh nothing, everything is ok, this is a part of my training. Old man put a seal on me to restrict my abilities by five times." Naruto explained

"Eight Gate Formation: Gate of Healing OPEN" Naruto said, and he overpowered Sasuke without any problem. He was able to open all the eight gates and he had already mastered this technique at the very age of 8. The Eight Gates exist in order to limit the flow of within an individual's body. Ordinarily, individuals can use no more than 20% of their body's full potential, the brain's way of protecting the individual from harming their body through overexertion. With training, individuals can learn to remove these limiters, referred to as "opening" the gates. With each opened gate, individuals are given access to more and more of their body's chakra, thus increasing their physical strength and speed.

"I cannot fight you with Taijutsu, can I?" Sasuke said.

"Forget about that, the sun is already down, I think we should call it a day, Sasuke" Naruto said.

"Yeah, we should go home" Sasuke said.

"Show me your wounds" Naruto asked Sasuke. Sasuke showed him his wounds caused in the spar. Naruto then used the 'Mystic Palm Jutsu' and started to heal Sasuke's wounds.

"So, what do you think about that 'Sakura' girl." Sasuke asked Naruto while being healed.

"I think that she does not have what it takes to become a shinobi. She would have failed sensei's test if it wasn't for us. She doesn't know the reality of the shinobi world. She lives in a fairy tale world and thinks that everything goes as planned in this world. She is also a fangirl of yours. And she doesn't know any C or higher rank jutsu. I bet she doesn't even know how to walk on water. And this isn't good team as she only cares about you and forgets about me and this could prove fatal in a C rank or higher mission also our synergy is good enough that it only takes eye contact for us to communicate which makes her left out."

"I agree with you and she is far to weak to be a gennin. But I don't think we can replace her."

"Yes, we can't replace her so we must not ignore her. I am willing to improve our synergy as a team but that is not possible if she keeps ignoring me. But her behavior is also justified as I am the Kyubi jinchuriki and the whole village, with the exception of few, treats me like scum." Naruto said in monotone.

"I will never be able to understand why these bastards treat you like that. If it wasn't for you to contain him, the Kyubi will never be sealed and this village will be nothing but ruins. Why don't you just tell them that your father was the Fourth Hokage. Then they will stop hating and disrespecting you." Sasuke asked angrily

"Nah, I am prohibited to reveal this to anyone and you are the only exception. And besides I don't think that it will change much and I don't want to sell my father's name." Naruto said as he finished healing.

"Anyway, lets go home." Naruto said as they went to their respective homes.

Naruto continued his training for the whole week until kakashi recovered from his injuries. By the end of the week Naruto had gained 80% of his old ability with the seal on.

Author's Note

Many people will say that how Naruto and Sasuke could defeat kakashi. I want to clear that why kakashi lost so easily. (1) He underestimated them. (2) They caught him off-guard while he was trying to bring out his perverted book. (3) Naruto had already planned this before the test. (4) Kakashi didn't even used half of his strength or they didn't give him the chance to use. These are the reasons why kakashi lost. Also next chapter is the start of the Land of waves arc and this is going to be very different than the one shown in the anime. Also don't forget to review the story.
