Chapter Eighteen

Attinger, Savoy and Joyce saw the real doctor coming in and they looked at the doctor like he was crazy.

"What the hell are you doing here, why aren't you with the girl?" Attinger demanded.

"I was coming to pick her up to take her to the med room," he said.

"What the hell is going on," Savoy remarked.

"I don't know, but we are checking up on her, right now," Joyce retorted.

Savoy pulled his gun out as the three men hurried to the medical bay where Loki was with Missy.

Loki heard someone coming and he cursed as his eyes went back to Missy who was fading fast.

"Brother, hurry," Loki said as he heard thunder just as the men came breaking down the door not realizing they would be facing two Gods.

Thor, the God of Thunder and Loki, the God of Mischief.

Optimus looked around the facility. He needed to find Missy and fast. He had Ratchet at his side, knowing she would need medical help.

"Spread out! Search for Missy, but stay on guard. These humans are dangerous," Optimus ordered.

'Hold on Missy. I'm coming,' Optimus thought.

Loki made sure the monitor showed her heart was still beating. It was weak and slowing down. He cursed, hearing the battle outside the door. But he had to stay to protect her.

"Any century now brother," Loki muttered.

"Optimus?" Missy whispered.

Loki turned around to see her barely awake. He knelt by her side.

"He's almost here. Hang on Missy," Loki said.

"Op...timus... I love...you..."

Missy was barely holding on. Loki cursed. She wouldn't survive at this point. There was too much damage, too many experiments done on her. He could see the damage from the electricity used on her. He moved a sheet to cover her body, giving her some more modesty.

He jumped when the door broke open. He got ready to attack, but relaxed at seeing Optimus and Ratchet's holoforms come in. But the sound of the machine flatlining stopped time. Loki turned to see her, heart sinking at seeing her lifeless body.

Optimus slowly walked to her side, collapsing right next to her. The monotone beep of the flatline echoed in his helm. Shaky servos reached out, lightly touching her face. His spark constricted, hurting a lot. His Missy... was he too late? He felt tears come to his optics, spilling onto her face as he leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to her.

"Missy?" Optimus asked, voice quiet. He pulled away a bit to look at her. "Missy? I'm here now. Please. Wake up."

"Optimus," Ratchet said softly. But Optimus ignored him.

"Missy, please. Wake up. Please, my Missy," Optimus begged.

"Optimus. She's gone. I'm sorry," Ratchet said.

"No. No! She can't be!" Optimus denied.

"She is. She barely held on. The experiments were too much for her," Loki said. "I am sorry."

"No... no, no, no! NO!" Optimus' optics flashed red. "I'll kill them all!"

Optimus got up, storming out of the room.

"Optimus!" Ratchet shouted after his leader. "Frag."

The medic looked back to Missy, pulling the sheet completely over her. He looked back to Loki.

"I'll be back for her. I have to go help," said Ratchet.

"Alright," Loki said.

When the medic left, Loki saw his brother come in. Thor stared at the bed, knowing his student was there.
