WAKING UP
Auriel's Bow is gone, but the Nightingale Bow and the Ebony Blade are with me. I leave the boat untied. My goal is to not return to the castle but maybe I will need to at some point. I'm still shaken by recent events, so I just walk until I find a carriage. For once, I'm allowing myself to travel to Riften. To reunite with Bryn and my family. There, I will be able to think, to plan, to grow stronger. If Nocturnal is hopeful, then I should be too.
The land is frozen. Ice and snow blanket everywhere I go until I reach Solitude. The driver takes what coin I have and I allow myself rest at the back of the carriage. Above, three ravens fly overhead. I watch them with the swaying of the carriage, a fierce hope lighting in my heart.
If I have them with me now, the Daedric Princes, then we have a chance. I just need to temper my expectations. Because unlike them I know who we are up against. The Night Mother is relentless, but I am unbreakable. I whisper in the night. I swear to all of them that I will keep the land I now claim as mine safe from her and her tyranny now that I'm free.
Cicero's Journal Entry
1st of Second Seed, 4E 202
A new journey! Mother said to get ready, we are to go on a mission across Skyrim! But where to? To Riften with the Thieves? Morthal with the vampires? Markarth with the ruins? So many options! But all Cicero needs to do is not ask questions and prepare the carriage for the journey. Mother needs so many things, blood, a new cloak, a comfortable journey. Cicero will wait on her hand and foot as should be customary with the true queen!
