Chapter 9 "Massacre"
Somewhere in the Woods
"Don't you think that was a bit harsh?" Kakashi asked.
"No, she crossed her limits and she needed someone to teach her how to talk." Naruto said.
"What about her injuries?"
"You don't need to worry about her, I will heal her in the evening." Naruto said.
"And she should consider herself lucky that she is still alive." Naruto added.
"What is you level of Medical Ninjutsu?" Kakashi asked.
"Right Now, I am at level 8 and after I return back to village, I will become level 9." Naruto said.
"That's great, now you will be the be the second-best medic of Leaf Village, after Lady Tsunade." Kakashi said with a smile to lighten up the mood of Naruto.
"Thanks of appreciation, nii-san." Naruto said.
"So, what jutsu were you going to teach me?" Naruto asked.
"It is called Chidori. In this jutsu, you gather a heavy amount of Lightning Chakra in your palm and then charge at the enemy at rapid speed, piercing them and dealing a fatal damage. The high concentration of electricity produces a sound reminiscent of many birds chirping, hence the name." Kakashi explained to Naruto.
"Now activate your sharingan, and try to copy it." Kakashi said as Naruto activated his Sharingan.
"The hand seals are Ox Rabbit Monkey Dragon Rat Bird Ox Snake Dog Tiger Monkey" Kakashi said.
He then went through the said Hand seals and then hold his right hand with his left hand. In an instant, there was an orb of Lightning chakra in his hand. He then stabbed his hand in the nearby tree making a hole in the tree.
"Judging from the chakra consumption and its effectiveness in assassination, I think it is an A rank Jutsu." Naruto said.
"Yes, it is an A rank jutsu. Now try to do it yourself." Kakashi said.
Naruto then followed the instructions and formed a Chidori.
"No wonder, you are the rookie of the year. You did it on your first try." Kakashi said.
"Thank you, nii-san. Now where should I test it?" Naruto said.
He then noticed a boulder near him. "This will do the job." Naruto said to himself before charging on the boulder. He then tried to pierce the boulder but he only managed to make a hole similar to Kakashi.
"Not bad Naruto, you did well." Kakashi said.
"It is an impressive jutsu, however I will say I have mastered it when I slice the rock in half. Till then, I will keep honing it." Naruto said.
"That is a big resolve, you know?" Kakashi said.
"Yes, but what is the point of learning a Jutsu, if you don't master it." Naruto said.
"Well then, keep honing until you achieve your goal." Kakashi said.
Tazuna's Home
…
"So, Naruto is really the son of Lord Fourth." Sakura asked while lying on the bed.
"I already told you, he really is the son of Lord Fourth." Sasuke said.
"Now, you must apologize to Naruto!" Sasuke added.
"But…" Sakura said.
"It was all your fault, you poked him, so the least you can do is to apologize to him. And cant you understand the difference between" Sasuke said in a serious tone.
"Okay, I will." Sakura said.
"I have one more question, why doesn't he live in the Namikaze Compound instead of living in the orphanage." Sakura asked
"Because of the enemies Lord fourth had." Sasuke said.
"And when is he planning to reveal his heritage to the village?" Sakura asked.
"I don't know, maybe if he becomes Chunnin." Sasuke said.
"You should rest here; I am going to the bridge to protect Tazuna-san" Sasuke said before leaving.
He then catches up with Naruto and kakashi who were also on the bridge. They stayed on the bridge until dusk, after that they returned home.
Evening
Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi returned to home.
"I am sorry for morning, Naruto." Sakura said.
"I am sorry too, I just lost my cool, I hear that everyday so I shouldn't have reacted that way." Naruto said.
"Anyway, I believe that Sasuke told you about my parents." Naruto asked
"Yes." Sakura said feeling ashamed.
"Now, I have a Question, could you keep that secret or not?" Naruto asked.
After thinking for a minute, Sakura said "Yes I can."
"What I mean from keeping this a secret is that you cannot tell this to anyone, not even your parents." Naruto said.
"I you ever reveal this to anyone, I will have to erase the memories of both your and the person you revealed to." Naruto finished.
"Yes, I will keep this a secret even from my parents." Sakura said in a bold voice.
"Very well then, let me heal you." Naruto said as he approached Sakura.
He then healed started to heal Sakura, and after half an Hour, Sakura was as good as ever.
Night
Naruto was lying on the ready to sleep.
"Hey Naruto!" Kyuubi said.
Naruto's Mindscape
"What's the matter?" Naruto asked.
"Actually, I wanted to tell you something about you eyes." Kyuubi said.
"What?" Naruto asked.
"Do you have idea, what you possess?" Kyuubi asked.
"Are you talking about the Sharingan?"
"Yes, the sharingan you possess is called the GOD SHARINGAN."
"God Sharingan?"
"Yes, it is a very special Sharingan, you already know it has 6 tomoe instead of 3. But there is more to that, a normal Sharingan transforms into Mangekyo Sharingan and when you replace your eyes with another Mangekyo Sharingan of someone in 1st degree of relation, you get the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. And every Mangekyo Sharingan has its own unique ability, BUT your Sharingan is different. You already know that instead of mental trauma, your sharingan transforms with mere training. And today when you were so enraged that you were about to kill your own teammate, your sharingan transformed directly into Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. And there is even more, you possess the abilities of all the Mangekyo Sharingan, hence the name, God Sharingan."
"You mean that now I possess the abilities of all the Mangekyo Sharingan?"
"Yes."
"Could you tell me some of the abilities?"
"I'll will explain a few powers I know, so listen well. First, one of the powers is an extremely powerful genjutsu called Tsukuyomi (God of the Moon). Once you lock eyes with the enemy you can cast the technique and the user is trapped. Inside the technique you are God, you can create and manipulate everything even time itself. You can make the time pass differently from the outside. It can be 3 days in your technique but in the real world it only has been a couple of seconds, the difference in this time varies with your skill. Also, this genjutsu is nearly unbreakable and could only be broken by a perfect jinchuriki and a sage mode user."
"Another power is called Amaterasu (God of the Sun). It's the highest level of Fire ninjutsu known. With your eyes you can summon or put out the so-called Amaterasu Flames. These are black flames that burn anything in its path and don't disappear until the target you want is completely incinerated; it doesn't matter if you even use a Water jutsu. They never die until the target is gone."
"Another power and probably the most powerful is a defensive armour with offensive capabilities. It's called Susanoo (God of the Sea and Storms), it creates a humanoid like shaped armour around you, the more chakra you send, the stronger and bigger it gets, I've seen the Susanoo's perfect form and let me tell you it's not something you want to face. This humanoid armour also carries a shield for defensive purposes like deflecting more powerful focused attacks but also a sword for offense."
"The last and the most powerful ability is Kamui (Authority of the Gods). It is both an offensive and defensive type jutsu. Actually, it is a Space-Time Ninjutsu. It transfers the target and/or the user to a different dimension of its own. When someone enters Kamui's dimension, they become completely untraceable, as not even their charka signatures can be detected while they are there. Using Kamui is the only known way to travel to and from its dimension. You can perform teleportation at will and doesn't need to designate his destination beforehand. The other application of this ability is, when activated, allows you to turn your body "intangible", automatically transferring body parts that otherwise would have been in contact with the overlapping matter into Kamui dimension. Everything you will be touching, including your clothes, weapons and even other people will become intangible too. You got all of it?" - the kyuubi concluded and asked for confirmation.
"These abilities sound interesting; I will try them when I return back to the village." Naruto said.
"I think you should visit the Uchiha Library; you might learn something about your eyes." Kyuubi said.
"Sure, I will."
Five days later
Everything was going well. Naruto was sparring with Sasuke on the bridge while protecting the bridge builder. Although no one had showed after Zabuza but all the 5 People were in alert. The bridge was about to be completed today and they will be free.
"I wonder why that Gatou is not stopping us from building the bridge." Naruto said
"It is good for us if he is not intervening. But I really want to kick his ass." Sasuke said.
"Anyway, the bridge will be completed today and we will be free." Naruto said.
"What will be the name of this bridge?" Sasuke asked
"I don't know."
Tazuna's home
There was only Tsunami and Inari in the home. Tsunami was in the kitchen when someone knocked the door.
"Coming" Tsunami said and then she opened the door. Two guys were standing in front of her. Each of them was having a Katana hanging on their sides. The first man then pushed Tsunami inside and then they both started rampaging the home.
"Who are you and why are you doing this?" Tsunami yelled. After hearing his mother yelling Inari went downstairs and saw that two men were destroying his home and his mother was lying on the floor.
"So, you are Tazuna's daughter, too bad, you have to come with us." One of the men said
"Shall we take this kid too?" the other one asked looking at Inari
"Inari, RUN!" Tsunami said.
"Shut up, bitch" one of them said before he slapped Tsunami.
"How dare you!" Inari yelled and then he charged on the guy with blood in his eyes. But he punched inari in the guts and knocked him out.
"Inari!" Tsunami shouted. The other guy then tied tsunami and then he dragged her on the floor out of his house.
"You guys should learn some manners… but then again you will not live to show your manners." Naruto said as he was standing in front of them.
"What did you sa…?" one of them shouted. But before he could complete his sentence, a kunai was stabbed in his mouth also piercing his neck from inside.
"Enough Blabbering" Naruto said and his sword appeared in his hand in a poof of smoke. Inari also crawled out the house.
"Hey Inari, could you close your eyes for a second." Naruto said and inari closed his eyes. And before the man could pull out his katana his head was flying in the air and his body was just standing on the ground. Naruto then sealed his bloodied sword in his hand and untied Tsunami.
"Okay you can open your eyes." Naruto said. When Inari opened his eyes, he found that the two people who attacked him and his mother were lying dead on the ground and one of them was beheaded as well.
"You guys are lucky that I, or I should say that my blood clone was here, or you would have been taken hostage." Naruto said
"You finally you got the courage to protect you loved ones, Inari. And you should appreciate that you atleast know how having a father feels like. I didn't have any of my parents to begin with." Naruto said as Inari's eyes widened.
"Yes, that's right, my parents died moments after I was born and had to live in an orphanage from the very beginning. And all the villagers hated me because the Nine tailed fox is sealed inside me. And I was about your age when someone showed up and acknowledged me. You should also not live-in past. I already knew about what happened to your father form the forest, and I believe your father was a Hero. But what you did not to protect your mother was really brave. You did exactly what your father wanted you to do." Naruto said as he saw that Inari was hugging him with tears rolling down his face.
"Darn it, I thought I would never cry again." Inari murmured
"Hey, it is okay to cry." Naruto said
"Wait if you are here then who is at Bridge?" Tsunami asked
"I am just a blood clone, the real me is still at the bridge protecting your father, Tsunami-san." Naruto said and then he handed over a scroll to tsunami.
"Take care of this until I return." Naruto said and then he disappeared in red smoke.
At the bridge
"I think I was wrong, Gatou was planning to take Tsunami-san hostage." Naruto said
"What?" Sasuke asked who was standing beside him.
"Yeah, but you don't need to worry, I already took care of them." Naruto said
"And how is that?"
"Did you already forget about my blood clone."
"Okay, so they were just lucky that your blood clone returned in time."
"You could say that." Naruto said.
"Who are they?" Sakura asked in a loud voice pointing at the other end of the bridge where about 200 people were coming towards them with swords and staffs in their hands. A short man was leading the gang. He had shaggy brown hair and sports a pair of small, circular black glasses. He was wearing a black suit with a purple tie, a yellow shirt underneath his coat and closed-toed shoes.
"So, he finally decided to show up, I am already feeling the urge to kill him." Naruto said as he glared at the group of thugs.
"Tazuna-san, you and your sub ordinates should stay behind us." Kakashi said as he uncovered his left eye which revealed a sharingan.
"Now you understand why Zabuza said 'two sharingan wielders'" Naruto said to Sasuke.
"Is sensei an Uchiha." Sasuke asked while looking at Kakashi.
"No, I am not an Uchiha." Kakashi said.
"Then how can you possess a Sharingan." Sasuke asked
"I will explain it later first we need to deal with them." Kakashi said
"I knew that Zabuza was pretty much useless. I have to finish the job myself." Gatou said.
"Huh, it doesn't matter who does the job, you will suffer the same fate as him." Naruto said
"And you will make me suffer, ay brat?" Gatou said
"We will see about that later?" Naruto replied
"Naruto, don't be reckless, these are more than you could handle." Kakashi said.
"These are not ninjas, these are mere thugs and bandits who are here just for money." Naruto said
"You guys ready?" Naruto said while looking at Kakashi and Sasuke.
"You bet; we are!" Sasuke said
"Then what are we waiting for, lets charge!" Naruto exclaimed with a sadistic smile.
"Haku, Sakura, you two stay behind, if anyone passes through us you should deal with them. And you can kill them as well." Kakashi said. Naruto then summoned his bloodied sword and Kakashi and Sasuke fished out a Kunai.
"Hey, why is there blood on your sword?" Sasuke asked
"Didn't I already say about those morons who came Tazuna-san's house." Naruto said
"You mean you killed them?"
"Yeah, one of them was dragging Tsunami-san out of the house while beating her, so, I got enraged and Killed them." Naruto said while Kakashi and Sasuke looked at him with their eyes widened.
"Hey, don't give me that look." Naruto said.
"You guys finished blabbering?" Gatou asked before he signalled his gang to charge.
"To make this even, I think we should only use ninja tools and swords, what do say Sasuke, Nii-san?" Naruto asked.
"You are only saying that because you want to test that sword of yours." Kakashi said.
"You could say so." Naruto said.
"Well, I have no problem with that." Kakashi said
"M…Me neither." Sasuke said.
Naruto charged on them with his sword and beheaded 5 thugs in the process. Kakashi also took his kunai and stabbed a thug in head. But Sasuke was just standing there in shock as he saw his best friend and sensei slaughtering the whole gang.
"I was right, we will not need any ninjutsu for this." Naruto said as he cut down a thug in half.
"Sasuke, snap out of it, don't just stand there!" Kakashi yelled at Sasuke before he slit the throat of another thug.
"Okay, sensei!" Sasuke said as he charged on a thug. The thug then tried to stab Sasuke but his sword was stopped in middle by Sasuke with his kunai. Sasuke then used another Kunai to stab the thug in his chest which resulted in his death. Sasuke's whole body was shivering. He was just standing in front of the thug whom he had just killed.
Naruto was on killing spree, he had already killed 54 thugs and was charging on the others. Naruto then stabbed his sword in the guts of two thugs who were standing back and forth of each other. He then pulled out his sword and sliced the throat of three thugs who were charging at him.
"These are just jokes." Naruto said with his sadistic smile. He then saw that 3 thugs already passed them and another 2 were charging on Sasuke who was just standing there trembling.
"Haku, take care of those three!" Naruto shouted as he quickly went to help Sasuke.
Haku quickly made a hand seal "Ice Release: Thousand Ice Petals". A Thousand ice darts formed in front of Haku which then pierced the 3 thugs on every single body part and resulted in instant death of those thugs. Sakura was shocked to the coldness of Haku as Haku didn't have any second thought before murdering them and he was even younger than her.
Naruto then jumped and beheaded the thugs before reaching the ground who were trying to attack Sasuke.
"Sasuke, what the hell is wrong with you. You already know that you would have to kill people in this profession. It is not the time to be shocked, if you are unable to fight then stay beside Haku and Sakura. You will only get killed if you don't fight!" Naruto said as he casually sliced the throat of another thug without even looking at him.
"I think my first kill will have a long-lasting effect on me, so I better stay behind." Sasuke said as he looked at Naruto who was soaked in blood of the thugs and was killing another thug at the moment.
"Then go!" Naruto said as he patted on Sasuke's shoulders.
Kakashi was in a league of his own. He already killed 78 thugs with just two kunai. He then lifted a thug with his kunai stabbed in the bottom of his mouth and then he slammed the thug on the ground making his head wide open. Then he stabbed his kunai in the head of another thug. But another thug tried to attack Kakashi as he was wide open from behind. But before his sword could reach Kakashi, he saw that his hands were lying on the ground and he was spraying blood on the back on back on kakashi.
"What were you trying to do?" Naruto asked before cutting the thug in half.
"Thanks for the cover, Naruto." Kakashi said as he stabbed kunai in the chest of another thug.
After the battle, no, One Sided Massacre ended, Naruto and kakashi were soaked in blood and were staring at Gatou who was trembling there. Kakashi killed 101 thugs, Naruto killed 95 thugs, Haku killed 3 thugs and Sasuke killed 1 thug. A few tried to escape by jumping off the bridge but Naruto took care of them with his Shurikens.
"Now, what do we do with you?" Kakashi asked while staring Gatou.
"We will kill him just like he killed Kaiza-san." Naruto said
"Who?" kakashi asked
"He was Inari's father. Gatou killed him because he raised his voice against Gatou's oppression." Naruto said
"Please, forgive me." Gatou said. Kakashi noticed that Inari and his mother had also reached there and were watching them.
"No, Scum like you deserve to die." Naruto said before he cut down both the hands of Gatou right from his shoulders.
"Now, it is the time to end your life." Naruto said as he lifted his sword.
"No, please!" Gatou said but his head was already lying on the ground and was watching his beheaded body.
"I avenged you, Inari!" Naruto said without even looking at him.
"You already knew that he was there." Kakashi said
"Yes, I recognized his chakra." Naruto said while looking at Inari who was in tears and there was a mixed look of satisfaction and fear on his face.
The bridge was then completed on the same day by Tazuna and his team. Naruto and Kakashi changed their Bloodied clothes. And were ready to go. Naruto already took the scrolls for Haku from Tazuna's house with the help of his Shadow clone. They were ready to leave the Village with Haku as their new member.
"So, Tazuna-san, what will be the name of this bridge?" Naruto asked
"Well, I think Great Naruto Bridge will be a good name." Tazuna replied with a smile on his face.
Author's Note
This chapter concludes the Land Of Waves Arc. In this arc alone, Naruto has killed a hundred foes. I know that there was a lot of blood but I wanted to show the show the coldness and brutality of Naruto, and there was no better option than making Naruto slaughter the thugs with just his newly acquired Blade. And I want to point out the personality shift of Naruto when he is with his friends and when he is fighting foes.
There will three chapter between this are and Chunnin Exams Arc. And in the next chapter Naruto's wood release will be explained.
