Casey's Hospital Room
Casey (hears a knock at the door, she looks towards the door): who is it?!( she says nervously)
The strange voice says "its me Noel"
Casey: how do we know each other?
The stranger responds " your my girlfriend"
Casey: girlfriend! I have a boyfriend? ( she thinks to herself) I guess you can come in ( she says softly)
The stranger responds " you guess, I don't wanna come in unless your sure.
Casey (smiles as she looks towards the door): come in ( she smiles)
Stranger voice guy: while, I never thought i would see that smile ever again and now that I have, I shall dream of seeing only that for the rest of my life.
Casey(smiles) wow! I really liked that, it was sweet.
Stranger voice guy: well, I would do anything to make you smile. You look so beautiful today, oh! ( he says like his done something wrong) I almost forgot to give you your roses. ( he hands them to Casey and she smiles at both him and them.) I wish I could have seen you sooner but..your step brother was here everyday and I couldn't visit.
Casey: ( sighs annoyed) so I've heard. I really rather do anything else then talk about him.
Stranger voice guy: I'm sorry, I was just going to say that even if I had to wait a long time to see you, it was worth it.
Casey: so I guess you know?
Stranger voice guy: I wasn't going to say anything but yeah. I'm sor-rey.
Casey: its ok. Lets just drop it. Lets talk about something else.
Stranger voice guy: this kind of reminds me of Midsummer night dream, where the lovers forget each other but by the end, they find their way back to each other. I intend on spending everyday showing you how much I love you, even if I spend the rest of my life wooing you. I will profess my love to thee every waking day, in my dreams we could be together again and again even though those memories are short, I will treasure them Evey second.
Casey: Midsummer night dream huh, we should watch that together some time ( she smiles and he leans in for a kiss. He kisses her gently and she smiles into the kiss. He backs away scared)
Stranger voice guy: I'm sor-rey!
Casey: It's ok, your a good kisser.
They both blush and kiss again
Casey: I didn't think that I could trust people but I was wrong, I know I might not remember... And that alone is scary but...I know I can trust you, Noel ( she smiles.)
Casey's Mom(walks in) Casey! Lizzie told me that you remembered her( she said excitedly) that's great! ( she stops in her tracks when she sees Noel) hey Noel, do you mind? I really wanna talk to my daughter.
Noel: no problem, See you later Case.
When Noel exits the room Casey's mom turns back to her
Casey's Mom: Casey! You remember, that's great. What do you remember?
Casey: I remember the girls hanging out together
Casey's mom: that's a great start. Is it it ok if I hug you?
Casey: of course mom!
Casey's mom cries as she hugs her and Casey begins to cry as well.
Casey hears her door open and she looks up to see Derek's dad
Derek's dad: your mom told me the good news! (He says excitedly) that's great! One memory down and soon enough, they will all come flooding back.)
Casey: its really not a big deal, I only remembered one moment. I don't remember or really know anything else. I'm a tubula rasa!
George: you won't be that for long, soon you will have all of your memories back but until then...having a blank slate might not be that bad.
Casey's mom: and muscle memory is key, just because you can't remember someone it doesn't mean that those feelings just disappear. I say you with Noel earlier, you remembered Lizzie and you didn't press charges against Derek. That's our Casey! ( she smiles)
Casey: maybe your right but I don't press charges against Derek because his family. I didn't wanna cause anymore problems with the family, besides for some reason...it just didn't feel right. Based on what everyone said it was an accident and it just felt wrong to continuously punish someone for something that they are already punishing them self for. I might be mad and I may never wanna see him again but I'm not gonna torture someone for it. Besides, the thought never crossed my mind, I don't know who pressed charges. I just wouldn't feel right with him behind bars because of a mistake.
George: well, I'm glad you feel that way because his been beating himself up, he said he keeps reliving that moment over and over again. He said he will never forgive himself. He doesn't know what he can do to make amends, he doesn't think that there's anything he can do.
Casey: George! Just because I didn't press charges doesn't mean I don't hate him or what he did. I'm still mad! I still hate him and what he did, I never wanna see him again but I don't wanna see him behind bars... His family... Even if I hate him ( she crosses her arms and looks away.)
Nora: we understand sweet heart heart, were going to go get the kids something to eat do you want something to eat?
Casey: yes! I'm sorry. So far I've just had hospital food.
Nora: ok. We will get you your usual. Although you probably don't know what your usual is. Sometimes you have burgers and fries, pastrami sandwiches and sometimes you feel adventurous.
Casey: surprise me! ( she smiles)
They leave to the fast food restaurant and Casey lays down in her bed.
A blonde with blue eyes, thin, in shape, nicely dressed beautiful women walks in her room
Beautiful woman: hey! I'm sally! I'm happy to finally be able to see you again, I've missed you. I was sooo worried when you fell then you came by and they told me you were in a coma. I wasn't sure when you were going to wake up, then I hear that you lost your memory..gosh that must suck, to look at someone and not know there face. Everything and everyone around you being strange, I'm sor-rey. Your probably tired of people saying that.
Casey: tired of people taking pity on me because I can't remember, yes! I'm sor-rey.
Beautiful woman: its ok!
Casey: what's your name
Beautiful woman: oh! Sorry! Its sally
Casey: sally, that a nice name...I like it.
Sally (blushes and tucks her hair behind her ear): thank you!
Sally: the teachers miss having you in their class, they aren't the only ones who miss you...I miss us hanging out every day, I just miss talking to you everyday, talking about Mr. Adams giving us so much homework in one day or the fact that Emily wasn't fooling anyone with those hickeys.
Casey:(She laughs) I know Emily, she seems like a great friend and doesn't seem like a great liar.
Sally: ( laughs out loud) she's not! But she tries to be.
Casey: ( laughs) : she's so not!
The parents return with food and smiles on their faces
Nora: its good to hear you laugh again
Casey: its nice to be able to laugh again, thanks sally.
Sally: no problem, its just nice to talk to you again.
Nora: I'm sorry Sally, we didn't know you were going to be here.
Sally: that's ok
Casey: sally can have my fries, I don't mind.
