Casey: ( I can't do this! ( she cries and attempts up and leave.)
Derek: ( stops her) yes, yes you can do it...I mean come on its you, you always find a way.
Casey: find a way?! This project is worth half our grade! Its supposed to be a group effort because its so much work! And even I saw the work...it is a lot of work! And they backed out just because they don't like me! ( she begins to panic) I'm gonna fail and then I'm going to have to take the course all over again (she inhaled and exhaled) then I will be being on my schedule and I won't be able to take I need because they aren't going to be teacher that class next summer! All of this just ruins my plans.
Derek: first you need to relax, A little less space case and more care free case
Casey: care free Casey was delusional! ( she pouts )
Derek (can help but smirk and then laugh at her behavior): you always have faith in me and other people, now its time for you to have faith in yourself. There obviously just jealous and mad at you because you won and they lost, so they resort to childish tactics, you are so much better than them. You got this, you Casey McDonald after all ( he smiles).
She smiles back at him
Casey: your right! I'm not just going to sit and wallow, I am going to get this project done, I'm going to wow everyone, get an A+ and i.M gonna make those bitches wish they didn't mess with me.
Derek: (raises his eyebrows in surprise)
Casey: sor-rey, I'm stressed out.
Derek: you don't need to apologize for being a harass, now get to work...let me know if you need anything ( smirks.)
Casey: ok.
Derek: how can I help
Casey: I just need to be alone to work, if I I will call.
Derek: Okay but we will talk about the bullying and why you should report it later, Ok?
Casey: I don't wanna talk about it
Derek: ( walks back towards her.) But your being bullied by your old roommate and her friends, just because she get kicked out of what use to be her dorm and the university. I mean they allowed her back after but I don't see how this is your fault.
Casey: they didn't like me before then either, I tried to do everything to get them to like me but it wasn't enough. " they said I was a show off and fit in.
Derek: this is college! You out don't have to worry about fitting in! Your grades, extracurricular activities, your honors classes, your deans awards, the fact that all of the teachers and a majority of the school like you! There irrelevant.
Casey: ( exhaled) they have been bullying me...but its not just name calling...someone's been changing my alarm clock, throwing out my clothes, ruining my textbooks and homework...that's why I have to redo the entire assignment now, my group left me and they destroyed the document...they must of been friends of hers too. Look I know there are people who don't like me because I can be annoying, controlling, I'm rash and because I go overboard and Because I don't know how to have fun...but I don't think anyone would do this...not even Gwen.
Derek: that's the girl who was messing with you before?
Casey: yes but only because she hated that I was so peppy, my schedule and rules. I only wanted to help so she wouldn't get kicked out. I had no idea she was into drugs or alcohol... I also had no idea that she threw a party at our dorm and it caught on fire... I found out later that she was who did it, she was burning my stuff when the dorm caught on fire. So I asked for a new roommate! That's when all of this stuff happen, I didn't tell on her! I just asked for a new roommate. She spins it other ways.
Derek: which way is that?
Casey: that I was purposely messing with her everyday, that I ripped pages out of her book so she couldn't study, this is that but it wasn't me! Since the fire and her coming back she hasn't even acknowledged me, so I don't think its her because how would she get access to my things if I changed the lock?
Derek: I'm just glad that you don't think its me.
Casey: you like to mess with me but you would never hurt me...even accidentally.
Derek: true.
Casey: how are we gonna convince people that you didn't do those other "pranks"
Derek: first things first, we have to find out who it is.
Casey: right now they think its you and they're treating you like a criminal.
Derek: yeah, like I care how people see me.
casey: I do. They're wrong!
Derek: easy case ( he smirks) I can deal with it, I'm use to it... Really. I'm more worried about someone seriously injuring you or worst.
Casey: its not going to escalate that far, the room burning down was a mistake and ever did the book bag and the other stuff..that just made me cry, this isn't A lifetime movie, I'll be fine.
Derek: but all of this is scary... We don't even know who were looking for or what were going to do next. Maybe we should start with Gwen.
Casey: I said it wasn't her and she didn't know anything!
Derek: ( rolls his eyes): why?! Because you asked her? Like she's just going to admit to doing this and risk having everything taken from her! I don't think so.
Casey: fine! ( casey rolls her eyes) what's the plan.
Derek: the plan is simple, we set up a camera and we wait for them to prank you again. If they attack from the outside, we will have cameras set up as well as eyes everywhere. I recruited Emily, Kendra, Sam, max, Noel and the entire family.
Casey: you got the family involved already?! Its not that serious or ( whispers) I would have been handled it.
Derek: ( whispers) but you don't know who it is, and you don't want to "question" this Gwen girl.
Casey: ( whisper) no one can know what we do, not really?
Derek:(rolls his eyes) you always were by the book.
Casey: ( crosses her arms) and you always have to be so aggressive.
Derek: that's my job!
Casey: there are other ways to go about it ( she says with her eyes crossed giving him the side eye.)
Casey: well, if you used your force...none of this would be happening right now.
Casey: and blow our cover, everyone expects it from you because your just a dumb jock
Derek: and your upright, perfectionist, controlling, nagging, stressed, pent up aggression ( he eyes her up and down before he says his next words) in need of a release ( he say smoothly) people wouldn't put it passed you if you snapped, I mean it would help... At least people would be afraid of you.
Casey (scoffed) I do not need to relieve any stress, I'm fine!
Derek (laughs): right ( he says sarcastically)
Casey: : second! ( her nose flares as she's in his face now.) I don't want people me, I want to think I'm normal.
Derek: you couldn't be normal if you tried but I guess someone fell for it and it worked too well. I promise once I find out who dis this, their done!
Casey: easy Tiger ( she steps back to where she was.)
Derek: I mean it,case. No one messes with you and gets away with it. ( he says seriously.)
Casey: fine, I'm in...where do we start?
Derek:( smiles) Gwen
(Flash back ends)
Marti is on texting Derek
Marti: good Morning smerek
Derek: good morning Smarti, are you enjoying your time with Casey?
Marti: yes! Its so much fun! We went on jet skies, we went to the movies, we visited a giant toy store and so much more but we go home tomorrow. But I don't wanna leave spacey.
Derek: its ok smarti, you'll visit casey again and when you do, you will have even more fun with her.
Marti: next time I want to go with you too, that way we can have fun with the whole family.
Derek: I don't think Casey will want that right now.
Marti: she will if I ask her
Derek: we can have a lot of fun without casey.
Marti: but you always have so much fun when Casey there.
Derek: she cramps our style.
Marti: but your always so happy when Casey around
Derek: I enjoy getting under her skin
Marti: no! Your happier when she's there then when your around anyone else. You don't have to lie to me.
Derek: just because I might miss casey, doesn't mean that she does.
Marti:She does! She told me
Derek: your just making things up.
Marti: I promise smerek
Derek: fine I'll bite, what did she say
Marti: she said that she is remembering good things about you and that she misses you.
Derek puts his hand in his pocket
Derek: are you sure about this?
Casey: (takes the phone): its true!
Derek: ( Derek is both happy and surprised that Casey was texting him)
Casey: I'm sorry about what I said, I'm sorry that I pushed you away and I'm sorry that I have been cold to you...when all you did was help me
Derek: it was understandable, you were scared and you lost your memory. I mean sure you might have overreacted but that's who you are...your a drama queen.
Casey: come home, please.
Derek: that was the plan you won't believe what happened.
Casey: what happened?
Derek: I can't really discuss it over the phone.
